I guess they wouldn't want you to trade your uber Pokemon from your old games and beat the game with 'em.. but that's just a theory.
Nintendo works in mysterious ways my friend xD
 
It's not that hard to beat the Elite Four. And if you do every Trainer battle you find, you'll have already seen every Sinnoh Dex Pokémon by then.
 
Don't worry about it too much.. there's lot of other cool things you can do in Diamond.. plus why do you want your old pokes right now? You should train some DP pokemon ;D

I'm never sarcastic.

Anyway, just try to have fun with the game, and enjoy your newly-caught Pokémon. You can end up liking them more than your Emerald ones.

I agree. You'll be reunited with your old pokemon soon enough =)
 
For the record, you can do contests in Emerald- you always have been able to. Remember the house in Lilycove? Look there.

Anyway, it really is easy to complete the Sinnoh Dex (as far as seeing goes). By the time you beat the E4, you should see all of them. Any you haven't seen you can easily find yourself.

Also, the game would be broken if you could import from RSE from the get-go. Where's the fun in beating the game without breaking a sweat with a level 100 Swampert? Besides, they wouldn't listen to you, since you're not their OT.
 
For the record...I don't want to bring in my UBER pokemon...I wanna catch some smaller ones and put them in...more variety...but I guess I have to wait...:(

For those who HAVE Diamond or Pearl, what is your favorite new edition?

Mine is the Underground. I know I said I hated it, but going under there and taking the spheres are cool! I can't wait till i can go Wireless and talk to other people and stuffs. ^.^

The Underground, probably. In the beginning, I found it quite fun to dig up treasures. xD;

However, the Super Contests could be improved on, they lack... something. I don't know how to put it, though.
 
My favorite new addition to Diamond and Pearl is Wi-Fi battling and trading it is really fun to trade with everyone on these forums instead of just your neighbors.

I don't have it, but I would say the online capability. Battling and Trading online took things to a whole new level.

I think everyone has D/P at this point...

Anyway, I have to say WiFi battlan. It makes the game much deeper and much more interesting, and is really the only reason it has kept my attention for so long. Although I never battle...
