Introduction:
35 years after the events of Pokémon XD, Orre has become prosperous. Many rare Pokémon are found there and it has built a booming trade in exports of Rare Pokémon. The infamous Shadow Lugia that once terrorised the region has now become more of a landmark, seen flying over Orre each day.

Story:
You are a young child from Phenac City. It's your thirteenth birthday and you go to Justy to get your first Pokémon, a Mankey, a Poochyena or a Spoink. Justy tells you that in order to battle him you must get 50 Pokémon and you set off to do just that.
However, two agents of a mysterious group called Organisation Frozen Shadow have arrived in Orre and are trying to capture XD001, Shadow Lugia. They want to use XD001's power to rip open a hole in Time and release Dialga.
You learn of their plans and seek out the help of the most powerful Pokémon in Orre, Heatran, to help you defeat XD001 and prevent the release of Dialga.
