So I think I might have found a bug: I beat leader 1 and now my menu doesn't open for anything I load on the rom.

    Updated to version 2.0.0 😀

    Changelog
    • New Pokémon have been added (refer to the Excel sheet in the download link).
    • All Mega Evolutions of the game's Pokémon are now available.
    • Added some alternate forms of Pokémon. (Hisuian & Alolan)
    • Several previously existing Pokémon, such as Charmander, Squirtle, Abra, Aerodactyl, etc., are now available to the player.
    • Difficulty/grinding balancing adjustments. Items like Exp. Share and Lucky Egg are accessible way earlier in the game. Rare Candies can be found more frequently.
    • A couple of side quests and new areas to explore have been added.
    • Move Tutors and in-game trades have been enhanced.
    • New overworld sprites and improvements to tilesets.
    • New intro.
    • A few spelling and grammar errors have been corrected (I'm doing my best with that one, trust me).
    • That Menu graphic glitch was finally fixed (a big thanks to the creator of HexManiacAdvance for this fantastic tool!).

Hi, I encountered an issue on mGBA where the Cycling Road attendants don't allow you to get on Cycling Road-- even after it opens. The player isn't allowed to get on the bike inside the area that leads to Cycling Road, so the attendant just doesn't let you through. I patched over a FireRed v1.0. Also, this was on the version right before 2.0
It also seemed that biking in general had some strange behaviors such as "Moonwalk" biking in areas where you were biking entering, presumably not supposed to be biking there, and then a cutscene plays. This reloads the area and you're still on the bike visually but you have the movement properties of walking/running and also you bike backward when "running."
On another note, I really enjoyed this hack! Although it was a lot longer than I expected, there were certainly a lot of really cool notes. I do feel as though it would be beneficial to the player to unlock Fly a lot earlier than you do since there's a ton of backtracking in the early-middle portion of the game when you get to Astrantia. I am excited to try out the 2.0 changes and I respect the balancing adjustments, there are some significant jumps in difficulty at certain points rather than feeling like a steady curve. Also, it was a bit silly to see some trainers with L54 Zigzagoons, though I anticipate that hasn't changed.
Anyway, all in all, really awesome hack! The effort you put in shows and I really enjoy how it plays more similarly to a traditional RPG compared to normal Pokemon games.
Thanks for making this and releasing it.

Thank you very much for playing and for your kind comments!

Initially, getting FLY was even later, with the player getting it around Karyap Monastery and it has eventually been moved almost an entire chapter earlier. But I see your point. The second half of the 1st chapter is taking place in and around Astrantia and technically speaking there are several scripts that are activated when you do the backtracking. I could have developed it a bit better and give FLY to the player even earlier, I admit. Thanks for the feedback.

Hey, first I want to say that the story you've made is truly great! And the leveling is great, much more interesting when the mon's get closer to lvl 100. I've got an issue though, I cannot get back to Amaira Island and the Volcano by interacting with the ship in the Alabasta harbour. Do you know what I need to do, or if it is a bug? Is it fixable? Cannot get Regirock if I can't go back there.

    Hello! Thanks for your comment!
Unfortunately, you can't return to Amira isles once you have resolved the pirate quest there. But your effort wasn't for nothing since, with the green shard you can catch the rest of the regi-golems.

Thanks! I ended up going back to an older savestate, it wasn't too much backtracking anyways. The game freezes when you try to interact with the top left ship in the harbour though, so I would perhaps remove or fix the scripting on it? Didn't cause too much issues but I have seen somewhere that you should be able to get back to the island by doing that.

Black Kaiser, thanks for this one! I absolutely love this hack, played fully though 15 hacks and this is top 3 for sure

I just finished the savahn region when I saw that there is a 2.0 version! Can it be patched on top of a game midway through? If not, do you think it's worth it to start over for the new version? Am I more than 75% of the way through the plot already?

Anyone who's considering playing, DO IT. IT IS REALLY GOOD

Hello! Thanks for playing and for your kind words! :ROFLMAO:

You are very close to reaching the midpoint of the game. There are 2 chapters remaining, and they are larger than chapter 2 (the adventure in Savahnn). In theory, you may not face any problems, however, I can't really recommend switching to the newer version now. It's hard to say tbh but I would stick to the current version if I were you.

My brother recommended me email someone my elysium a files, have them do it for me and then email me the elysium b files. Would that work?

    Pokémon Elysium

DOWNLOAD FOLDER (Complete. Last version: 2.0.0 - 27-January-2024)
    Download Part A
    Download Part B
Base game: Fire Red 1.0 (Recommended patcher: upset 0.4).

    Summary

    About

It is a story/lore-focused Fire Red hack for casual players, developed years ago (although content was added until very recently) that I decided to release it despite originally not planning to. It is a lengthy one, especially if you explore everything and follow the various side quests, and it is divided into two parts, A and B. To play it, you'll need to patch two files and use save states to continue your saved game from Part A to B (instructions can be found in the readme file that accompanies the download). Story-wise, the game consists of a prologue, four chapters and a small epilogue. Regarding its difficulty, it's harder than the Pokémon games, but most players will not find any difficulty in finishing it. It was first released on reddit and you can read the post here.

    Features:

    • A mix of Pokémon, moves and types up until Pokémon X and Y. Gen I, II and III mostly but there's a decent number of Pokémon from the next generations like Hippopotas, Garchomp, Rhyperion or Galvantula (Check the online excel file for the full list of obtainable Pokémon)
    • Fairy Type-Pokémon & Moves (replacing old ones)
    • Physical-Special Split
    • A very few story-only related fakemon and fakemoves
    • Some (permanent) Mega Evolutions
    • Several Regions to explore.
    • Side quests that reward you with rare Pokémon, moves or special items.

I've been having a lot of fun playing and reading through the dialogue, there's hilarious, informative, and fun optional side content. The battles are reasonably challenging which makes important fights more impactful! I've just gotten to April's 2nd battle and lost, however when I returned to challenge her again the battle wouldn't trigger :(

Hello! I am happy you're having fun playing this game! :ROFLMAO:
To begin the battle, have your character step on that tile on the floor, the battle position facing April. If you have any unused full restores from your first attempt, store them in your PC first.

There are 2 kind of items: Megeavolites and Ultraevolites (the latter are for the legendary ones). You can choose which Pokemon you want to mega-evolve. There's also the Red and Blue orbs for Groudon and Kyogre.

I've been playing this game for the past few days and I enjoyed it a lot.
I just finished chapter 2 (I'm on version 2.0) and at the start of chapter 3 you get a call from Mr. Hilton about meeting him and then he mentions in an offhanded comment that the owner of the casino requires help.

This is where my enthusiasm for the game sort of... died. I checked in on him, went to the Free Wings HQ, checked the laptop and got stuck completely since I sold the Card Key after my character stated that I could sell it since I didn't need it anymore anyway, which happened more then a chapter ago.

Now I understand that you want to have side quests that can fail at certain parts, however maybe you can set certain flags to check if you failed one of the conditions and change the text to reflect this? For instance not having Mr. Hilton tell you about the issue at the Casino, or letting your character be more thoughtful about whether to sell the item or not. I know that it's not required to finish the game, but as someone that likes to complete a game as fully as I myself can find stuff for, this threw me off completely.

I'll let the game sit for a bit now and maybe come back to it later to finish the story since the rest is really fun. I hope you can do something with this feedback!
