No, it won't. In fact, all the clues for this mission are found in Chapter 3, and it can only be solved during that chapter. The quest log will update each time you discover one of the three clues needed to complete it.

Also, here are a few non-spoiler tips to help ease your mind and keep an eye on some of the other side missions:

The Black Cult sidequest begins shortly after you start Chapter 2 and must be completed before you progress the main story involving Astrantia's docks. The NPC who gives you the quest makes this clear, so you'll be reminded. Also, concerning another sidequest, if someone tries to buy a certain item from you, don't sell it.

I wanted to ask, is there a renewable source of Moon Stones in this game? (Other than hoping to get lucky with the 1/20 odds from wild Clefairy, without the aid of Compound Eyes or even Frisk.) Sun Stones, too, I suppose, though those aren't so needed in comparison to Moon Stones in this game.

Hey!

No, there's no such source for Moon Stones. However, you can find plenty of Moon Stones, especially in a place called the "Fairy Garden". Sun Stones on the other hand, can be purchased at the mart in Karyap Monastery.

When you beat the pirate arena, is it normal that the Milotic is shiny ? I guess it is but maybe I am very lucky ? Thank you
