Some people have beaten him, but there is one battle you're supposed to lose :) he has a lot of Pokémon double weak to Grass types!

Hey! You'll know when you do as it is part of the story. It's just before you reach Cerulean City.

If you 'use' a pokeball not in battle, or click on your pokemon in the Party menu, it will let you change them.

Have you spoken to the Fisherman on Cinnabar Island? Once you've done that, Jaws appears in the furthest south-east corner of the route. You can't miss him!

Hey - sadly I'm not sure, Joiplay is a bit buggy :( I hope you managed to get through it?

There is one major flaw with this rom hack it's the coverage between surfing and the rods every route has the same spawn of pokemon over and over again and not variety difference between each route running into the same pokemon hoping for a different Pokemon was annoying and frustrating

Are you planning on continuing the story as it kind of ended abruptly, or is that just it? Great game though.

The ending was left a little open-ended in case Dale wanted to make a sequel, but no plans for one at the moment.

There is not, but if you're having trouble with something feel free to ask here or in the Discord :)

I think we're chatting on the Discord currently but in case anyone else is curious: this is an RPG Maker XP fan game rather than a romhack, so you run the executable file directly rather than load a .gba or other file in an emulator. For Android phones you'll have to use Joiplay to emulate .exe games, for iPhone I'm not aware of any Joiplay-like apps that let you emulate .exe games. It's not possible with Joiplay as I think I remember Apple not allowing those kinds of apps on their devices, so I don't think there are alternatives, but I could be wrong.

Just started a slow playthrough to fill a work break. I'm loving the design and the storyline. I've come across this shimmering square in Vermilion several times now, but it always vanishes before I manage to interact with it. Is this something to do with the old man who wants to see a milotic?
