Emerald hack: Pokémon Modern Emerald (Complete, 2.3.4 Released! Following Pokémon, Modern Battle Frontier, and more!)

Hello! Thanks for the dips in the event tickets, but now I have a different question. Did the event trigger for oppening the regis caves got altered? I did the thing with Wailord and Relincath, dig in the spot it usually triggers the earthquake but got nothing back. Could you help me?
 
Is there a way to change RTC modes in-game? I started with the fake RTC but wish to go back to real RTC, doesn't seem like there's even a debug option for it. I assume it's one of the flags but I don't know which

There's a dip in the tickets? How much are your tickets, are they around 90 something BP? I'm on 2.3.1 and I was able to get all the regis.
 
Really wanna play this game, built in randomizers and whatnot are so good. But..for whatever reason after choosing all the settings and i name my character the screen goes black and starts screeching at me

Nope, you can't. I tried to, but it messed up daily events and it requires too much work to make it a togglable option.

Change your emulator. Use mGBA.
 
Hi, maybe this got posted already, but Gyarados is unable to use Fly.
While this makes sense, it is contradicted by Winonas statement that the only condition to use fly would be having the Flying type, which Gyarados does.
This shouldn't be much of an issue, but I'm currently doing a Shiny only run and Gyarados just happens to be the only Flying type that's catchable by Rods (afaik), so I thought it would be the easiest shiny flyer to get. However, easy shiny yes, flyer unfortunately no.
 
Oh, and I noticed part of the Surf animation clips through the rooves in Pacifidlog for some reason
 
Hey, I'm not sure if I was just using a old gba file or what but I have updated it but I wanted to confirm nonetheless that if using Masterball still crashes the game or has that bug been fixed because in Randomizer with random items I found Master ball but couldn't use it as whenever I threw a masterball it crashed my emulator

What Emulator are you using?

Edit: First page says mGBA or real hardware are recommended for decomp hacks like this one.

There's no such bug. Use mGBA, other emulators will produce crashes.

EDIT: I edited the main post as I finally got fed up with all these "game crashes" posts 🥲

Is there another version coming out to update the acquisition of island tickets among other things? Like a 2.3.2?
How are you progressing on that version so far for release, in case there's another one coming?

I'm at 404 in the dex and soon the only ones I'm gonna need are the legendaries.

The progress is 0%, I'm still on vacation and I'll continue being on vacation for the rest of the month. I just keep checking this board because I want to know what other players do / have to say / report about my hackrom.

Got it. Well at least there's another one coming. Love this hack and I dunno whether I could ever go back to vanilla Emerald after playing this.
You really did GF's work for them and again, this is a highly underrated hack.
Enjoy your vacation and thank you for your continued work on this.

Also, thank you so much for expanding the scope and adding followers. That brings so much to this that I had no idea I was missing.
 
This is literally the most GOATed & based romhack ever. 10/10.

One suggestion, I've always found tracking route encounters (for Nuzlockes) a pain, particularly in Emerald it can be difficult to sift through boxes of pokemon checking each individually. There are external tools/trackers, but I like to avoid these as much as possible.

Is there any way you could add some sort of overlay thing for the PokeNav map. Something like, open map, push button, routes change colour if you have no encounters left? Or even just the name of the route can change colour. If it's not possible, or major work, then there is a functional alternative (checking pokemon summary) so appreciate it may be low priority.

Again just to say wow amazing romhack you're a hero, enjoy your holiday.
 
How does compatibility work when linking with other players? Such as, if one player has the P/S split and modern typings enabled, but the other player doesnt? Is the rom hack compatible with any versions of FRLG?

What happens to Sylveon if the Fairy type option is disabled? Does Sylveon remain in-game as the only Fairy type available?

Edit: Another question, are trainer's movesets adjusted to account for the P/S split? For example, I see https://github.com/resetes12/pokeemerald/blob/master/src/data/battle_frontier/battle_frontier_mons.h Alakazam set is listed as having a Modest nature and Sp. Atk EVs, but uses only physical moves Thunder/Fire/Ice Punch if the split option is enabled.
