Emerald hack: Pokémon Modern Emerald (Complete, 2.3.4 Released! Following Pokémon, Modern Battle Frontier, and more!)

I know you've said there are no plans to add any Hisuian Pokemon to the game. Curious if an exception could be made for Ursaluna and Wyrdeer since they're just evolutions and not regional forms. Stantler is my favorite Pokemon and I was stoked when it got an evolution. No big deal if the answer is no; the game is fantastic as it is and I'd like to thank you for making it!
 
Quick quesion regarding type-only challenges: I started a psychic-type only run an didn't pick slowpoke as a starter, did that hardlock the game?
there seems to be no psychic-type that can be caught without surf that can learn surf (at least from what I got from encounter and learnset lists on github)
If so, why is it even possible to choose other starters than slowpoke? The starter pool for the option is obviously limited, since only 1st form non-legendaries appear, so why where options that hardlock the game at gym 5 left in?
Or did I miss something? wondertrade is not available (although that might be because of nuzlocke)

edit: nvm, since my abra just used cut, hm use is apparenly not locked behind having a matching pokemon in your team. still curious about how fly and flash work then though

I'm sure this has been asked a lot, but I couldn't find it, so apologies ahead of time. How/where do you get exp. share for this? The letter to Steven didn't give it. So I just wanna make sure I'm not missing something lol thanks in advance : )

Edit: I somehow sequence broke the game I think? it let me talk to boat dude before it should have and I met steven before getting the letter properly, now that I have the letter he's not back in the cave, so not sure if I'll get it next time I meet him? Guess we'll find out, I have no idea how I sequence broke things to begin with lol

I haven't played any romhacks previously, so excuse me if it sounds dumb: can you transfer Pokemon's from this romhack to gen 6-7 with pkhex if their stats have been changed?

I've tried to do that with Pkhex, unfortunately. I think it's that way with all the Emerald decomp romhacks, so Pkhex could only see some of your pokemon.. I really feel your pain, though. I have 405 pokemon in this hack which is more than I have anywhere.

Edit: I should say, Pkhex sees like 30 of my Pokemon.

I was actually gonna ask is there anyway to batch transfer Pokemon? Yes, we could trade but that would be one at a time, right?

I have a question is it possible to get shinies through the wonder trade system and if so are the affected by the shiny odds of our choice

I got 3 Shinies through wonder trade in definitely less than 10k tries. So either insane luck, or it is affected by the option at the start of the game

Kingdra, Skiploom an one I forgot. Was trying for Aerodactyl and for some reason got unlucky on that front, in theory Aerodactyl should be more common than any shiny
 
So happy yo see the new quick run option be pressing and holding B. Really convinient on emulator! Thank you!

Does anyone got the sound effects from D/P/P or HG/SS to work? It doesn't work for me (Ignited emulator on iOS, which is a fork of Delta).
 
Hi, incredible hack, two quick questions I haven't found answers to in the thread
  • For the settings "Better Stats" and "Modern Movepool", does this mean increasing stats and adding moves that were important changes for the pokemon in later games, or just your personal balance tweaks?
  • I've seen a couple emerald hacks with following pokemon, but can't find the decomp resource to do this. Did you work on it yourself or pull from another repo?
 
I'm very sorry if you mentioned it in the replies, but I'm wondering where you can get a Mankey or Primeape? I can't find it on the main page and their not in any Hoenn game, so I just really confused

You can find them both on Route 115 according to the spreadsheet.
This is in the document on the 1st page. This sheet is pretty easy to miss in case you're skimming through the 1st page. haha.
I think I got a lot of Pokemon via Wondertrade, so that's also an option.

I dunno much about the 1st question.

As for following Pokemon, I do think it was done by resetes. I know Emerald ROWE does it differently so while it can be done somehow, I'm pretty sure every hack (with following Pokemon) has its own implementation of it.
