  • Hi, I swear I don't want to come up as rude I just don't know how to put it in a nicer way, but I am wondering how important is that new power from 3.0? My plan was to replace my starters the first patch of grass I find, since I can't even choose the starters of the other two characters, and I would rather not play the game then be stuck with both the rabbits. So is this power something simillar to mega evolution that I can simply ignore without major drawbacks, and use whatever party I want, or is it something mandatory for progression, forcing you to use plusle and minum? Again, apologies for the tone, I just think everything about the game looks great and I can't wait for the full release, except for not being able to choose other starters, which by itself might be enough to kill all the hype I have for the game if I can't even get rid of them for story reasons.

No worries, the event is mandatory, but their presence in your party for the rest of the game is not.
Long story short: you're not forced to use them.

Hello! Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but I heard there's a discord server for the romhack? I honestly love the game and would love to interact with its community, but I couldn't find it by myself. Nevermind, found it

Also, there's this little, insignificant visual bug where, if you catch a pokemon and one of your party members levels up and you teach it a move, the caught pokemon reapears for a brief moment. It doesn't affect gameplay in any way, but I thought you might know about it if you didn't already.

  • Hey, I'm back with a small update on my project!
First thing first: I'm going to release Beta 2.5 by the end of October/Beginning of November, and the best thing I'm going to add is the Etrian Variant.
Etrian Variants are regional forms based off Etrian Odyssey's enemies and playable classes; here's a sneak peek!

Aaand I added pre-battle mugshots to every major fight.

Nope, you can't. Nyx is the protagonist of this story, as stated in the first post, so "female" is the only available option.

A few of these fix minor gripes I had (stamina value, changing difficulty mid-game, lack of pokedex), so I'm glad to see these changes.

However, and this is both funny and a bit awkward, but I downloaded the hack for the first time Wednesday, and didn't know that the update was coming. Is there a way to transfer a save from the previous version, or do I have to start fresh?

Yup, just put your savefile and your rom in the same folder. After that make sure they have the same file name (for example Odyssey.gba and Odyssey.sav), the emulator will do the rest

Thank you for the answer. I checked the document and the new regional variants look sick! I look forward to the completion of this project, you just gained a new fan :)
One more thing: electric/flying for fearow/pidgeot/dodrio would be amazing

That's nice to hear! Anyway, I'm planning to add new regional variants in future updates, so it's not out of the question!
