FireRed hack: Pokémon Odyssey [Beta 3.5.4]

How do I do that?

Edit: I'm also in android if this helps
I can't give you the .gba file, so here's what you have to do:

1) Download the game;
2) Download a "1636 - Pokémon Fire Red (U)(Squirrels)" rom. I can't give you any link, so don't ask for it;
3) Download one of the supported emulators;
4) Go to Marcrobledo - Online patcher, then:
- Rom File -> Browse -> Pokémon Fire Red (U)(Squirrels).gba
- Patch File -> Browse -> Pokémon Odyssey.ups
5) After all of this, click on "Apply Patch";
6) Open your rom with a supported emulator. Have fun!

This looks amazing! I'm curious though, is there a way to transfer my save from 3.0 to 4.0 when its released? I want to begin my odyssey but I'm wondering if I'll have to start fresh when the update comes out... :p

No worries, savefiles are compatible between versions!

Oof...I wish this wasnt a double battle hack. I understand what you wanna go for but I could never really do double battles nearly as effectively as I would like (since I really dont like using more than one pokemon of the same type on a team, and the starters really limit my strategy on top of it all). Still, a great concept overall.

I'm honestly really enjoying everything so far but jesus, there should be zero reason to put two boss fights back to back, with loads of dialogue that can't be skipped, and you have to endure it all over again if you lose in the tail end. I WANT to play and enjoy the game that I've had such a wonderful time with: but such infuriating road blocks makes me wanna drop it. I hope you understand my frustration as a player. Please either let me save between battles or have a skip button or something. I highly adore the art you've created so far, and it pains me to possibly drop it cause of such an arbitrary hiccup.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but unfortunately I can't split that script due to story reasons :/ .
A "Skip button" for cutscenes is a good idea and I'll probably implement it; in the meantime I think you should just lower your difficulty and/or use savestates between the two fights

thank you very much ^w^. Rooting for you on this awesome project <3

just beat 3.0, and it was amazing. regional forms are great looking and fun to use, story and progression are interesting and unique especially for a pokemon hack. only criticism is despite all its resistances, aether not having any super effective interactions makes it feel underpowered, especially when poison and dark seem pretty common for enemies.
other than that the only quality feature id love to see on 4.0 is and auto sort and infinite capacity for the bag, but i have no idea how hard that is to do

I've started the game today because I love original story Pokérom hacks.

Welp, pretty sure the first regional variant I saw, Krabby, was shiny, and I killed it. If anybody needs me I'll be curled up in a ball. 😭

One thing I would like to see implemented is an option to have regular trainers' levels be raised to be near our highest mon's level, kinda like the trainer house does. For example, I think there's two islands or so in the map that you have to beat a really high level F.O.E. to unlock on naval exploration, only for the trainers there to have mons around level 20 or 30, which I found a bit underwhelming

Cutscene skipping, especially for boss fights and/or gauntlets, would be cool too, but someone else already mentioned that. There could be a prompt for skipping a cutscene so that you don't have to skip the story after the fights, too

Other than that I'm really loving the game so far, I find myself quite invested in the story and characters (Olympia is dope!!!) the Etrian variants look cool as hell, the changes to the type match-ups as well as the Aether-type are fully reasonable, so are the stat, type and ability changes to some of the mons to make them more appealing to use and not just run a meta team, and finally facilitating a way to train new pokemon one might want to include in the team so that it is not an unbearable, tedious process, is something I appreciate a lot as well. Can't wait for the end/postgame! Good luck

Update time! Update time!

Daily reminder that Beta 4.0 will include Seventh and Eighth Stratum + Postgame, so it will ideally be the final major version of the game.
That said, let's run through this month's news:

► EIGHTH STRATUM - CYCLOPEAN HAUNT

The Eighth Stratum, called "Cyclopean Haunt", is the last Stratum of the game, as well as the place where the adventures of Nyx, Ethan and Olympia will end.
How? You decide the outcome!
We're still working on the Seventh Stratum's tilesets, so I can't show that yet.

.

► THIRD WAVE OF ETRIAN VARIANTS!

Since the Aether-type reveal, there were several users who asked for an Aether-type Eeveelution. Truth be told, I was already working on it for v3.0, but I couldn't find a convincing concept for it, so I put it aside.
But now it's finally ready. Say hello to Yggdreon!

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokémon Odyssey [Beta 3.5.4]

"Radiance", similar to Pixilate and Refrigerate, changes Normal-type moves into Aether-type and boosts their base power.
Yggdreon's peculiar move, "Life Control", heals it for 1/2 of its max HP and raises its speed by 1 stage.

► GATHERING AND MINING POINT UPGRADE

I want to avoid the "Press A simulator" experience, so here's how it's gonna work from now on.
You can choose to use 1, 5 or 10 stamina points in order to obtain the same number of items from plants or mines.
- 1 Stamina for variety;
- 10 Stamina for quantity;
- 5 Stamina is a cross between the other two.
