First off, well done on the hack, it's coming along nicely :)
However, the interior and exterior designs of houses are lacking, even for the Pokecenters... I was wondering, why don't you borrow some assets of FR?

The houses have no shadows, and the PC wasn't done at the time of release.

the alphas are nothing compared to the real game.

The alphas (technically all the same) were all rushed for Christmas, and were all released on the same day. They suck.
Further releases will have no release date, so everything will have time to get done.

Comparing a hack made on a gba rom from 2 people and on alpha state to a official game on final state on ds made by god knows how many people
yeah... youre winner

He/she actually has every right to compare the two.
The alpha 1 release was supposed to be a great demonstration and thing, but due to time constraints it ended up being a complete mess, which is kinda embarrassing I guess you can say.

we're still working on alpha 1.3 so the alpha can live up to its advertisements

EVERYBODY HAS A RIGHT TO COMPARE THE TWO. :|:|:| He was saying that the hack was NOTHING like the official game, when it actually was, in several places.

the alpha did not look that bad to me after all its an alpha (miinecraft pocket edition alpha is an exception to alphas :D)

Well considering the project is way better than that, it was really terrible.
In the future it'll be way better, but for now progress is slow.

I compared the alpha to the platinum red/blue full games not the ds original game, the alpha was just a demonstration of stuff but the full game might have much more of course lol.

Platinum Red's full version will be just like the DS, but as if Gamefreak released Platinum on the GBA.
So comparing it to the original Platinum is the logical thing to do.

5 Month Thank You

MAJOR UPDATE

5 months ago, on the 25th of December, Alpha 1, 1.2 and 1.2.1 were released. Even though they were rushed, bugged and bad, everyone seemed to really enjoy them.

6 days ago, on the 25th of May, we hit a giant milestone in download amounts. If we take a look at the logs of my robot, Jake, we can see a minor detail:

date | time | download count
5/23/2015 19:14 - 17438
5/23/2015 20:14 - 17439
5/23/2015 21:14 - 17440
5/23/2015 22:14 - 17440
5/24/2015 23:47 - 17497
5/25/2015 0:47 - 17500
5/25/2015 1:47 - 17501
5/25/2015 12:59 - 17508
5/25/2015 13:59 - 17509
5/25/2015 14:59 - 17511
5/25/2015 15:59 - 17511

We hit exactly 17500 downloads exactly 5 months from the original release.
That's pretty amazing and a coincidence at the same time, and I want to say a major thanks to everyone for the support on this project.

Man, we should give Jake a big ol' gold star!

I'm not a fan of starting small releases, but I'm really looking forward to this project's completion. Diamond was my very first game and isn't all that much different from Platinum.

Keep it up and take your time.

IIIIIIIIIIIIII disconcur.
DP had very different looks (and looks matter very much to me)
It also wasn't very planned (2 fire types until post-elite 4)
I hear they weren't really fun either.

But then again, I've only looked at it from a downward perspective.

This looks incredible. You and your team have done great things already! I respect your hard efforts.

Awesome, glad not to disappoint.
We're still busy, but in 6 days I hope to be back at hacking.
