It seems that you're using old version of joiplay. Try updating joiplay and rpg maker plugin to the newest version and open the game again.
I'm playing on joiplay and no major issues. (Except little graphical errors)

Surskit, galarian slowpoke, Binacle are all good choices - we are posting an update next week or so that will fix the field which will make the battle easier too!
 
This looks awesome.
1. Is there save compatibility with future updates?
2. Is there a higher shiny rate?
