    [PokeCommunity.com] Pokémon Rusted Bronze (Brick Bronze Remake)ABOUT:
    Pokemon Rusted Bronze is a remake of the Roblox Pokemon fangame, "Pokemon Brick Bronze", a game having been struck down by Nintendo for its practices in monetizing off the copyrighted material. PRB is created with the tools of Pokemon Essentials 19.1 and RPG Maker XP, and has been in development since 2019. The memories of PBB are dear to many, and I hope to recreate that magic with this 2d remake, with plans to finish what was started and adding my own spin to some things (mainly with the side content).

    (Yes, I am aware that bronze doesn't rust, feels wrong to change the name right now though)

    REGION:
    Explore the region of Roria. Featuring large forests, tall mountains, beaches, deserts, savannahs, a volcano, and even a city in the sky. For every gym, there is a different environment to explore.

    PLOT:

    The story is faithful to the original Brick Bronze, so you will be able to witness all the same twists and turns in the demos and full game.

    FEATURES:
    • Generations 1-7 Pokemon to obtain
      • 21 Starters from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, and Alola
    • 4 new types added to the game (X* = planned to be removed for next release)
      • Data: Pokemon based on information, converted into an physical-digital form. Porygon is one such example of a Data-type Pokemon, being able to invade computer systems. There are also Data-forms of existing Pokemon, known as Virus Pokemon (only Heracross has a form so far). New moves such as "Scorpion Slash" harvest data from the opponent with a chance to freeze them.
      • Sound: Pokemon wielding sound as a weapon. Some retyped Pokemon are the Whismur line and Noibat line. Some retyped moves are growl, boomburst, and hyper voice.
      • Light (X*): The physical light, rather than the idea of good. Some retyped Pokemon are the Mareep line and Heliotop line. Some retyped moves are signal beam, flash, and photon geyser.
      • Cosmic (X*): Pokemon from outer space. Some retyped Pokemon are the Clefairy line and Deoxys.

    • No random encounters, now featuring overworld encounters in the style of Pokemon Sword/Shield
    • Dataspaces: a new concept where Data-type Pokemon create their own world inside the computer. To catch the Pokemon and escape, you must face challenges in the digital expanse
      • 2 Dataspaces available in the demo, one being in the Silvent City, another in Lagoona Lake
    • First Demo exclusive:
      • 3 post-demo battles against powerful trainers from other regions, 65 rare candies as reward
      • Shiny Snover, White Haunter, and Rainbow Bidoof Event Pokemon available
      • Secret Pokemon available via laptop in Professor's Lab
      • Early Alpha of the Battle Colosseum, plans to rework into a Battle Frontier

    PROGRESS REPORT:
    The First Demo goes up to Rosecove City Gym, meaning there are 3 Gyms in the game. This demo is available to play right now.
    The next update will go up to Anthian City Gym, and is currently being worked on (sneakpeeks in the discord server in links below).

    DarrylBD99 is making Pokemon Brick Bronze Reborn, but he is making it in Godot from the ground up. That one's not cancelled.
    There was another remake before that was also made in Pokemon Essentials by Seedonator, but he just vanished, so that one is presumed cancelled. So I am taking the mantle of remaking Brick Bronze in Essentials.
     
    I've seen a number of BB remakes pop up over the years, and this one definitely looks the most charming.
