[Released] Pokémon Sacred Phoenix

Ok, so I might have forgotten something from the intro, but I can't get loyalty up. It isn't going down fast, and I can get friendship up (barely faster than loyalty drain) but I have no clue what I'm doing wrong. Enjoyment and food seems to go down fast, to the point of being tedious especially with the limited resource for food, but it still didin't help raise loyalty from what I noticed. I lost 1 battle but pokemon I got after that also had loyalty drain. Help would be appriciated.
If this happened just after capture, it's normal. The extra dread (+100) generated by their recent deprivation of freedom slowly fades until it reaches its equilibrium point (in the center of the dread bar, around 450 points).
This gives you time to gain a few friendship points to maintain sufficient loyalty and stay above the obedience threshold. (You need a total of 900 points in Friendship + Dread for the Pokémon to obey, bearing in mind that this total is 1000 when the Pokémon is captured - if it's not in overlevel).

The easiest way to increase friendship is to walk with your Pokémon (only the one following you will see its friendship increase, not the whole party), preferably in a holy place. It must be in good health, otherwise it can be counterproductive.
After that, the game design is designed to reward regularity in the granting of treats and grooming. The Poké-Toy is free, as is Spring Water, which can be recharged in any well (but the Pokémon must lack at least 1 HP to be able to give it some).

Note that some Pokémon natures are more capricious than others. Not all Pokémons are equally docile. This has a slight influence on the increase and decrease of feeling gauges.

A minor update (0.4.0.9) has just been released.

It corrects a potentially annoying bug with multi-hit attacks (possible crash), another where Pokémons at the back of the player's bench were randomly shuffled between turns, and a final one related to difficulty settings.
But the most important advance remains the mapping of the Gortelda side, which is starting to take shape (the Ivy Tower is accessible, for example, even if it's still completely empty of occupants).

If you're exploring in off-map mode, remember to return within the confines of Tintignac (or any older map) before saving, at the risk of getting stuck outside during the next update.

Thanks! So I guess battle to lose health then springwater over and over would be best? More work than standard but that is (part) of the point of this game, I'll have to make sure to to keep an eye on their stats. Looking forward to updates!

In fact, Spring water is a good idea: you can refill it for free at any well, and it's an easy way to keep your magical creatures at full HP ... at least, at the start of the game. Because Spring water quickly fills the fullness (more than a berry) for a modest +1 friendship.
On the other hand, only a berry given for pure pleasure, without any healing effect, will increase friendship (with a small exception for anti-EV berries which will increase it a little if no EV is subtracted).
Note that chaining battles reduces fullness and enjoyment, which will allow affection to be offered again. Regular grooming and feeding ensures optimum efficiency. (Don't forget the Poké Toy !)

Wow, this is too ambitious, good luck with this fan game, if it is completed it will be one of the best fangames I have ever played in my life.

This looks particularly impressive. Perhaps too impressive as stated above. I can't even imagine how long development is expected to take.
Looking forward to it regardless!

A minor update (0.4.0.10) has just been released.

The three most important additions are:
- Death Overhaul's hunting loot: killing a wild Pokémon allows you to recover crafting raw materials from it.
- Form management in the Pokédex + improved mouse ergonomics
- The "search" mode of the bag has had its behavior corrected

Feel free to report any bugs you see.
What is certain is that our next step is the mapping of Gortelda, so expect some new features in the main storyline for the next update.

A new Fakemon is revealed!
Here is Marasque, the Peat bog Pokémon
Based on the concept of the Tarasque, a creature from French mythology, it's a new evolution of Torkoal and the ace Pokémon of Kerdus, the master blacksmith. Maybe you have already come across it in Tintignac.

More arts will follow soon. The Yveltal clergy has been completed for example.

The game has also been updated to 0.4.0.11 to fix the crash that appeared in 0.4.0.10 in the options menu.
