4th Gen Pokémon Sunday Updates! [June 21st]

The second one is beta, and the first one is the "complete" version I would think.
I doubt they would go out of their way to downgrade everything when they had already completed it.

they're probably still in that test stage like when the main character stops moving and the pokemon sprite continues to march im hoping thats just because their not all the way done yet because that could get annoying

I can't wait tbh! Silver/Gold were my favorite old gen. games!

haha that's true. Was dumb of me to think otherwise. :P

Why was there Pirates of the Caribbean music at the start of the video? XD Route 36's theme has changed quite a bit, and the Pokedex looks a lot better. I can't wait for the games to come out ~

Alright, not much was revealed from what we already knew, but still an overall good piece fo show. I like the music played in the Ilex Forest during the time of the pichu event. It also appears the two Pichus run away from us, so that'll be something interesting to look forward to. The figures, are really nice and I really like the Lugia figure. The design and placement of it was a basic one hundred on the scale, not to mention the great blue effect of the figure as well. I did enjoy seeing a basic recape of the Pichu battle and how they split the video into four so we can see the Gizamimi Pichu's attacks at the same time.

Not much was released as I stated, and I expected this as well. The show usually recaps everything we recieve in scans until the next month, so we'll see what happens next week. As for the scene with the female sprite and the put of green plants in the route hall, I'd say the game is still in development. It is known that HeartGold and SoulSilver aren't complete as yet and things are still being worked out. I wouldn't worry too much as by the end it'll be figured out for the fans to enjoy. Nothing much else to say as everything was said during the past four pages really.

Lol thanks for using the picture I made earlier today and posted to Serebii xD
But it does seem peculiar, doesn't it.

That and it seems they downgraded some of the sprites. Such as the floor pattern, and the decorations. Interesting.

nah, its definitely 2 different routes

Wow, neat. :D Love the little animations for Lugia and Ho-Oh! Can't wait to see what other cutscenes the final game will have.

And, as has already been mentioned in several threads: squee, your Pokémon follow you. It's almost worth buying the game for that alone.

I've only got one question about the video...

Why was there Pirates of the Caribbean music at the start of the video? XD

... Yeah. XD As much as I love PotC, I want to know the same thing. Somehow, I doubt that the S.S. Aqua has been replaced by the Black Pearl or anything like that.

I didn't realize the sound from Pirates of the Caribbean until I actually re-watched the video. However, I think it was done on purpose as at the beginning they show four treasure chests. So, to go along with the idea of treasure and the basic plot of Pirates of the Caribbean the use of music seems to have been a combined twist. Overall, it isn't a bad touch and at least we can tell Pokémon is expanded to others ideas as well.

As for the image with Ho-Oh and Lugia in the video, I actually liked that. Now, whether it be for the opening cut scene of the games or when encountering the Pokémon for capture, I really like the interpretation of it. Basically, they are trying to implement the 3D idea into the game more, and as for experience on the remakes it fits well. So, I guess with this being said, the future gaming systems and Pokémon games will be more 3D like, so we'll see what happens.

LOL @ the Pirates of the Caribbean music at the beginning.

The music is kind of not done right, some of it seems a little too cheery and less adventurous, like that other video that showed the trainer battle music with the guy facing the two Pichus in a double battle? That music was too cheery and .... rosey (if that makes sense). Other than that, great news!

Very nice! The more I see the more I want this game.
I think this will make one of the best editions to the pokemon franchise.
