i'Aisha attempted the open the door of her cabin as she could smell smoke entering her room, Apollo began to shake with fear. As she clutched the metal door handle she screamed with pain as it was scorching hot from the flames outside. She stepped back and watched as more and more smoke began to fill her room, terrified she stood still, thinking of a way to escape, for if she waited to long she could inhale to much smoke and potentially die. "Apollo whatever happens stay close to me. Never leave my arms..."
As she frantically began to think of plans to leave her room a familiar voice called out from behind the cabin door, "i'Aisha? i'Aisha are you in there?" It was the voice of a teenage boy, but not any teenage boy, her cousin Michael Smith.
i'Aisha sighed with relief, "Yeah!" She shouted, "But the door handle is too hot! I can't get out!" There was no reply, her stomach churned, had her own cousin left before she managed to reply? If so was she doomed?
As these thoughts began to raise through her mind they were abruptly interrupted as with a crashing sound - Troy. Michael's Squirtle, tackled its way into the room. Her door came crashing down to the ground and i'Aisha grinned as she saw her cousin stood outside, she ran towards him placing Apollo on her shoulder and he wrapped his arms around her, "Good boy." He said proudly to Troy, "i'Aisha we need to get off this boat! But I don't know how, I have Troy but he is too young I can't expect him to swim us two to the island!"
i'Aisha gulped, her relief was suddenly crushed as the realisation sunk in. Even if she did manage to escape the flames, how would she manage to leave the sinking boat without drowning in the harsh seas that lay ahead. She raced over to her window in the cabin and glanced outside to see the distance of the region. It was quite close, but not in a swimming distance, "First things first..." She said calmly, before whistling to one of the robots racing up and down the burning corridors casually. It turned to her.
The robot slowly approached i'Aisha before stopping, "Good day." It said politely, Michael rolled his eyes.
i'Aisha smiled as Michael picked up Troy and hugged his small Pokémon, before turning back to the robot, "The ship is on fire, there is smoke that could choke us all filling the corridors and we are going to sink! What do we do?" She asked impatiently.
The robots mechanic mouth flashed as it spoke, "I do not understand. However, in the event of an emergancy - students are required to gather on the ship deck."
i'Aisha nodded and turned to her cousin, "Well that is where we are going then." She said before taking Apollo off her shoulder and holding her in her arms again, she turned back to the robot, "Thank you."
Michael followed as i'Aisha began to walk through the smokey corridors, covering his mouth with his hand, "I doubt anyone would gather at the deck, but it would be the best idea to see...still, in this panic I don't think anyone will follow procedures."
i'Aisha raised her eyebrows, she knew he was right, but hoped he was wrong, for if everyone did follow the prodecure, then maybe they could all be evacuated safely, however only time could tell, as Michael and i'Aisha with their Pokémon firmly in their arms raced through the corridors searching for a safe staircase leading to the deck, "If things weren't bad enough." Michael said as they approached another staircase blocked by a burning plank of wood, "We are on the lowest deck." He said, i'Aisha then turned and headed in a different direction.
