OOC: Hmm, if I remember correctly, I was supposed to be notified when Lupin can re-enter the Space-Plant... I'm not sure, so to be on the safe side I'll just continue on with Kelsey for now.

(Haha, I knew having a second character was a good idea--that way I can keep this RPG going even if I don't know what to do with my other character!)

"Oh, it always will. That Celia told me herself. The curse was intended to be permanent, and it was meant to make you stronger."

What Banette had just said got Kelsey thinking for a while.

Come to think of it, Celia did say something similar to that on her deathbed. I still remember the days when I felt helpless, tormented, haunted by the curse. I think at times I still do, but to a milder degree because now I know why the curse is with me.

Kelsey then reached into her small black packpack and took out what looked like a card holder. Inside it was her old POCE identification card, from the days when she too was a POCE soldier. Perhaps her boss had forgotten to ask her to return this card. Anyways, Kelsey stared at this card for a while, and as she did, thoughts of Lupin resurfaced in her mind. For a fleeting moment, she even regretted quitting POCE out of sheer disappointment with her separation from Lupin in this mission.

<"What's that?"> Hypno broke the silence. She was pointing to something nearly invisible that was hovering in the air. It looked like a camera.

Surprised, Kelsey hastily stashed the ID card back into her backpack.
"Oh no, I think this means Pine is spying on us! Or someone is... Quick, someone destroy it!!

<"I'll do it!">

With that, Ninetales blew a Flamethrower at the camera, causing it to spark and fall to the ground. But after that, three more cameras flew out to meet them, starting to focus their watch on Kelsey and her Pokemon.

"Now we have three more! Anyone else?"

Ninetales scorched another camera with another flame, but Banette and Hypno also had to join in on the act. So Banette blasted apart the second camera with a Shadow Ball, and Hypno crushed the third with Psychic.

"Whew, that was a..."

Kelsey spoke too soon, for three more cameras were headed her way. This time, the three Pokemon that had destroyed the other cameras tried something different. Ninetales made a huge dent in one camera with Faint Attack, causing it to malfunction. Banette sizzled the second camera with Will-O-Wisp. Hypno shattered the third with a Focus Punch.

"Okay, now that that's over..."

Kelsey, who was already facing the tunnel ahead, beckoned her Pokemon to follow as she walked down the tunnel. But she took no more than a few paces before the sound of Pokeball beams approached her.

"What the...!!"

Kelsey looked behind her and saw that her Pokemon were all gone! Somehow they had been automatically returned to their Pokeballs. For a moment Kelsey stood there, wondering how such a thing could have happened. But it didn't take too long for the answer to come to her: a red light shone from the dented camera that had been attacked by Ninetales. The camera's film carrier was broken so that it couldn't take any pictures, but it was still able to hover, and worse, it was still able to see and shoot lasers. For at that point it fired a set of lasers that enclosed Kelsey like a net. The laser beams then began to move towards her.

Ohh, if it can't take pictures, I guess it has no choice but to destroy me instead! How in the world do I get out of this...?

An idea quickly came to her: a Pokemon! With that, Kelsey stuck her arm out of the barred cage, and pressed the button on Hypno's Pokeball. But the Pokeball failed to open. Surprised, Kelsey took back the Pokeball, realizing that maybe the camera disabled the Pokeballs, preventing the Pokemon inside from escaping. Indeed, if there was anything Kelsey hated, it was losing the help of what she cared about the most: her Pokemon. Not only that, she was weaponless as well (a wish that she could borrow Lupin's weapon, Volbeat's Nightmare, flitted through her mind), and the lasers were closing in on her fast.

Thinking quickly, Kelsey found a rock lying on the ground near one of the laser beams. This she slid over till it was right underneath the laser beam--it started to warm up when that happened. Then she picked the rock up, so that the laser beam stopped upon hitting it and there was an opening underneath it. Therefore, Kelsey raised the increasingly hotter rock till it was over her head, and then she ran out through the opening, dropping the rock like a hot potato as she went.

Not surprisingly, the camera chased after Kelsey as she ran as fast as she possibly could through the tunnel. Even though the camera's movement was slowed by the dent Ninetales made in it, she still had to stay at top speed all the time in order to keep away from it. Kelsey didn't know where the camera was because she didn't have time to look back, but in actuality the distance between her and the camera was steadily growing. Far ahead was the entrance to another cavern. However, Kelsey's hopes of reaching that cavern were quickly extinguished. As it turned out, the camera shot out another series of laser beams, which formed a fence that blocked that entrance.

Oh no, now I'm trapped...

But not for long. For when Kelsey looked to her left, she saw another tunnel, a more jagged one, that led onward and then started to curve upward. Instinctively, Kelsey ran down this tunnel, the camera still following her. As she continued on, she passed by a few laser posts, and the tunnel got steeper and steeper, until she thought that she would not be able to climb the tunnel anymore. Forced to give up that option, she turned around and saw the camera coming at her.

Oh wait--here's an idea!

As the camera moved sharply upward, Kelsey jumped and landed on it. The camera was barely able to support her weight, and only slowed down a little bit as it continued its ascent up the tunnel. Apparently its only sense was sight, so it didn't even notice someone standing on it. Rather, it thought Kelsey had somehow gone further up in the tunnel. So the camera continued to unsuspectedly carry Kelsey up in the tunnel, which appeared to have been recently dug out by something. Its carver would have had to be big though, perhaps as big as a Steelix.

The tunnel continued upward for quite a ways until it reached another cavern. At this point, Kelsey was kneeling down and holding onto the top of the camera in order to keep her balance. Anyways, at the cavern, the tunnel stopped going up and instead went forward. Then after a while it went down for a little ways, then turned left. And finally, it went up again. This time, Kelsey could see a light above her--indicating that she was finally going to escape the underground world she had been in!

The camera exited the tunnel and ended up back in the jungle. Up ahead, the path continued on until it reached a tree that was up against a cliff. There were footsteps on the path, apparently belonging to some sort of large Pokemon. Perhaps it, too, had been running from cameras. Anyways, after the camera exited the tunnel, it floated up a ways, then did something unexpected: it tilted upward. Kelsey was still holding onto the camera and thus didn't fall off, but unfortunately the camera saw her at last. For a brief moment, Kelsey was face-to face with the camera, which glowed a bright red. Then it flipped upside-down and shot a laser beam at her. This beam shot Kelsey high into the air.

Kelsey landed at the top of the cliff. At that point she was scorched thanks to the laser beam, exhausted thanks to running from the camera, and in pain thanks to falling hard on the ground. She really wanted to just lie there, but the sight of the camera behind her was a perfect reason for her to spring back to her feet, and continue running along the path.

Up ahead were a series of fifteen or so laser fences that were moving left and right across the path. They were taller than Kelsey, so she knew she would be unable to jump over them. Instead, she slowed down a little bit, and managed to run around the left side of the first fence. Then she waited a moment for the second fence to move over so that she could run past it. Then she looked behind her--the camera was closing in on her.

If I keep waiting for these fences to move, that camera will get to me for sure... Ohh, if I still had either fully functioning Pokeballs or telekinesis, this would be a whole lot easier... Instead, I doubt if I'll make it out alive!

Kelsey's only choice was to keep running at the fast pace she had been going at the start of this chase. So she did so, focusing all her attention on the fences ahead of her. Two down, thirteen to go. This time, Kelsey weaved between the fences rather than waiting for them to move in one direction. For the first few fences, she nearly lost her balance or touched the fences as she jumped around them, but at least she was going past them faster than before. She eventually passed fence number 10, 11, 12, 13, 14...

ZAP! Kelsey collided with the last fence, which stunned her for a moment. Kelsey got up again, feeling as if she was on fire. Nevertheless, she barely managed to run ahead of the laser cage the camera was setting up for her, and continued along the path.

After a while, the path curved to the right and started to slope downward. There were laser posts sticking out of the ground along this path, but these didn't move around like the fences did. So Kelsey was able to dodge them a little more easily. However, all the pain and exhaustion was beginning to get to her, and she didn't know how much longer she could just continue running like this. She hoped beyond all hope that the path would end soon, that there would be something promising up ahead...

After Kelsey got past the posts, the path evened out, and the end of the jungle looked to be close. Finally! Kelsey even smiled at this sight for a moment. To an even greater convenience, there was a body of water up ahead. This wasn't too much of an obstacle--she could just as easily swim across, and the water would provide great relief from her burns. With that knowledge, Kelsey ran ahead, not really caring what happened as long as she could reach the water. But even better, behind her, the camera itself was starting to disintegrate. It too had begun to realize the damage that was done to it. Eventually, although Kelsey didn't see it, the camera fell apart and landed on the ground.

Finally, Kelsey was almost at the water. She thought she could see a group of people standing at the edge of the water, but she didn't pay much attention to them. Rather, she just dashed towards the end of the path, still running away from the camera that she didn't even know was no longer there. Yet still, tears of joy filled Kelsey's eyes as she made it to the end of the jungle, and especially since she could now spot a building up ahead that could possibly where Pine was hiding. With that, she reached the end of the path, ignorant of the group standing all around, and leaped into the water.

But much to Kelsey's demise, the water had somehow been filled with electricity. Kelsey, therefore, was electrocuted the instant she fell in the water.

OOC: I was typing the last part of this post so quickly that... Ah well, don't worry, Kelsey didn't die or anything, but...

Sorry if I haven't informed you earlier, Ninetales. Lupin is allowed to enter the Space Plant once more. Aso, before we begin, I've added one more robot and one more boss to the RP. The reason is because one of these, the Gravity Accelerator, is found in the Space Plant and you'll run into several of them. Here they are wrapped in spoiler tags:

Spoiler:

Now it's time to g back to Topaz and Jay in the Electrochemical Reactor. Not to get at anything, but V.E.R.I.C.A.S. will kind of be like Navi from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but not annoying at all, just an entity to help us out from here on in.

T-Minus 17:30:00

Back inside the city's energy reactor, Topaz and Jay have just had a visit with the city's A.I. hologram, V.E.R.I.C.A.S. After heading through another set of doors, they enter another one of the large open area. The energy storage towers and other structures way below them are like an entire city. Anyway, Topaz and Jay walk onto another floating bridge. On the far wall to the left, it reads "03", meaning they're still within the third set of levels. There are more fireballs floating above the bridge.

"More of these things?! Maybe we should call upon that cube from before!" -Jay

"Maybe you're right! I hope she can take a little time off from Lupin"

Topaz gets out a handheld electronic device and decides to call up V.E.R.I.C.A.S. She puts in V, E, R, I, C, A, and then S, all seven letters appearing on the screen. Once that's done, this message comes up; "PASSWORD ACCEPTED. V.E.R.I.C.A.S. CONTACTED" Suddenly, V.E.R.I.C.A.S. teleports right in front of Jay and Topaz.

"Topaz Amethyst and Jay Christian Valentine, I have contacted Tsubasa Dakato and also Edwin Tasselbury. After meeting with Edwin Tasselbury, I went back to Professor Hartache having found the help I needed. I was informed from him to keep helping you soldiers out. Anyway, what do you request from me?" -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"Well, we just would like you by our side to help us out."

"With maybe those fireballs out there?" -Jay

"Well, which action would you like to take then?" -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

V.E.R.I.C.A.S.'s front side changes to a screen with several options to choose from. She reads the options as they are displayed.

"DISSIPATE ENERGY FIREBALLS IN THE AREA?
TRANSFER ENERGY FIREBALLS TO ANOTHER AREA?
TAKE NO ACTION?"

"We'll go with "Dissipate energy fireballs in the area"."

"Command confirmed. Dissipating energy fireballs." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

All the fireballs along the bridge suddenly evaporate and explode into nothing. The screen goes back to V.E.R.I.C.A.S.'s "face".

"Whoa! That's cool! I wish we found you earlier!" -Jay

"Sorry if I couldn't be of assistance earlier." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"Well, welcome aboard, V.E.R.I.C.A.S. We're proud to have you here!"

Topaz and Jay head to the end of the bridge, with V.E.R.I.C.A.S. following them. There is another controllable floating platform they can use to go higher up through the reactor. Topaz jumps onto it and so does Jay. V.E.R.I.C.A.S. floats to by the platform.

"If you desire, I can give you the shortest and safest path using this transport platform." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

V.E.R.I.C.A.S.'s front goes to a 3-D virtual map of the entire reactor, highlighting the place that they're currently in. A glowing red line appears showing the best route upward.

"Wow! Thanks for that information!"

"Would you like me to pre-designate the platform on that course?" -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"You can do that? Wow!" -Jay

"Yes. Pre-designate platform on safest course."

"Confirmed. Now pre-designating platform course." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

The front of V.E.R.I.C.A.S. goes back to her "face" and the video screen on the platform with the arrows changes to the virtual map showing the course V.E.R.I.C.A.S. has suggested. The platform starts moving up from there and V.E.R.I.C.A.S. follows.

"This is something! I never knew you could control something like this!"

"I can control and manipulate anything that's in Star City. I'm aware you did not know that." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"Well, this should be easy!"

The platform continues on the course V.E.R.I.C.A.S. has programmed into it. At one point, the platform starts moving diagonally upward by some more magnet cranes There also happens to be more fireballs floating about the place everywhere they look.

"I think we should keep V.E.R.I.C.A.S. with us the whole time we're in here. She's very helpful." -Jay

The platform then starts moving to the right over a large, floating platform station with many large energy capsules on it. The liquid energy inside the capsules are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet. However, the tops of several of the capsules open in a vortex fashion and from two red ones, two Fire Chaos rise out. From two blue ones, two Ice Chaos rise out. From a green one and an orange one, two Solar Chaos rise out. From a yellow one and an orange one, two Thunder Chaos rise out. Near another floating bridge with a few more fireballs floating near it, the platform stops.

"Why are you stopping the platform?!"

"It's the danger of the Artificial Chaos. You'll need to neutralize them before I can go any further." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"That's putting it mildly."

Topaz and Jay jump off the platform and onto the bridge. The two Fire Chaos begin by firing red searing lasers from their eyes at Topaz and Jay. The lasers create burn trails on the bridge.

"Well, I guess we have no choice! Lanturn, come on out and use Hydro Pump!"

Lanturn comes out of its Pokéball and fires a Hydro Pump straight at one of the Fire Chaos, hitting it in the head and quickly destroying it. The two Solar Chaos begin charging up a Solarbeam to use against Topaz and Jay.

"Well, I think I can have someone else help out with this! Venomoth, use Signal Beam to stop them!"

Venomoth comes out of its Pokéball and fires a multi-colored beam at one of the Solar Chaos, but a Thunder Chaos comes in front of it and brings up a yellow lightning shield that blocks the attack. The other Chaos fires a Thunderbolt straight at Venomoth, zapping it severely.

"Venomoth, no! Lanturn, try freezing them with an Ice Beam!"

Lanturn fires an Ice Beam at the Thunder Chaos, freezing it in a block of ice that floats there. However, the other Thunder Chaos fires two shock lasers at Lanturn, hiting it, but doing very little damage. Lanturn doesn't even flinch from the lasers.

"I think we could use a little more help! Camerupt, come on out and use Eruption!"

Camerupt comes out of its Pokéball, and its volcanic humps erupt in a rain of fire and lava everywhere. It rains down on the frozen Thunder Chaos, hitting it hard and causing it to shatter. One of the Solar Chaos takes heavy damage from the Eruption and is destroyed in a matter of seconds. A large fire rock hits one of Ice Chaos square in the head, doing serious damage to it. The two Fire Chaos, however are completely unaffected by the attack.

"That was good! Finish that one off with a Thunderbolt!"

Lanturn fires a Thunderbolt at the damaged Ice Chaos's head, hitting it hard enough to destroy it. The Thunder Chaos that was shattered when it was frozen is actually still alive, and the ice around each part evaporates, showing that it's now in its cell form. The second Solar Chaos, one of the Fire Chaos, and the remaining Ice Chaos also split into cells. The start to form a vertically thick ring and are closely knit together.

"I don't like the looks of this! V.E.R.I.C.A.S., do something!"

"I can't. The device used to control them uses a barrier that I cannot break." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

At this point, the cells spin around at high speed and start giving off high-powered flashes on all kinds the light up the area in rainbow colors. Before you know it, flame, solar light, ice, and electricity are shot everywhere through the area. Topaz, her Pokémon, and Jay take damage of all kinds from the flashes.

"V.E.R.I.C.A.S., we know you can stop them! Like you said, you can control everything in Star City!" -Jay

"But I'm not sure if I..." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"V.E.R.I.C.A.S., we believe in you! You're not just a hologram, you're someone that can do what she desires, not just what's programmed into her!"

At this point, V.E.R.I.C.A.S.'s eyes start to glow and suddenly, rings of teal electricity and energy envelop the cells and swirls of more energy envelop the two whole Chaos, stunning all of them.

"Perhaps you're right. Maybe I can do more than I realize." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

Suddenly, V.E.R.I.C.A.S. eyes flash brightly as the rings and swirls of energy explode, taking out half of the cells and heavily damaging the Fire and Thunder Chaos.

"V.E.R.I.C.A.S., that was amazing!"

"I never knew you cxould do that!" -Jay

While a large hit was placed on the Chaos, the remaining cells, all solar and ice, regroup together, forming a much larger Chaos with a larger head and a blue-and-green body.

"The Artificial Chaos have fused together. We now have an Ice-Solar Chaos." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"I think that's quite obvious." -Jay

"Well, I think I know who to take care of this! Venomoth, use Signal Beam again!"

Venomoth fires another Signal Beam towards the fused Chaos, but it fires an Ice Beam and a Solarbeam swirling around each other as one single beam. The Ice Solarbeam hits Venomoth hard, sending out solar and ice trails everywhere. After the attack, Venomoth is not only frozen, but down for the count.

"Venomoth, return then! Camerupt, use Eruption to take that thing out!"

Camerupt's humps erupt once more, but the Ice Solar Chaos brings up a solar ice shield that protects in from the attack.

"Not this again!"

"Maybe I can help out! Arcanine, come on out and blitz it with Extremespeed!" -Jay

Arcanine comes out of its Pokémon and immediately rushes the Chaos with a burst of speed, causing it to be dazed. Camerupt keeps the Eruption going, and the Ice half of it is destroyed, leaving only a single Solar Chaos. That Chaos is alo destroyed by the Eruption. The attack also did some damage to the Thunder Chaos as well.

"Now to finish off the rest! Camerupt, Rock Slide!"

Camerupt slams the bridge hard, causing pieces of to to come up as rocks and hit both the Fire Chaos and the Thunder Chaos. Both take on severe damage and split into cells.

"Lanturn, now use Hydro Pump to finish off the red ones!"

Lanturn fires a Hydro Pump at the cells, destroying all of the Fire ones, but the Thunder ones block the attack with thunder flashes.

"Camerupt, Rock Slide once more!"

Camerupt creates another Rock Slide that finishes off the remaining cells. With all eight Chaos destroyed, we also notice that attached to the bridge are two energy tube railings, a sign of an energy bridge that can be formed between them. Suddenly, blue energy starts flowing through the railings and a blue energy path materializes between the railings.

"By neutralizing the Artificial Chaos, an energy bridge has been activated. You can use to to progress further." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"Maybe we could give the platform a rest and take this path. It might get us where we need to go."

"I guess you're right. I just hope we don't run into any moe of those things." -Jay

Topaz, Jay, and their Pokémon run to the energy bridge and cross it. The bridge eventually slopes upward, makes a 45-degree left turn, then another 45-degree left turn. At the end of the path, behind a glowing energy railing, there is a floating platform moving up and down.

"Well, we better jump onto this!"

"Let's return our Pokémon first!" -Jay

"If you desire, I can take control of the platform for you." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"Yes. Stop the platform at its lowest point. Lanturn, Camerupt, return!"

"Arcanine, you too!" -Jay

After all Pokémon are returned to their Pokéballs, V.E.R.I.C.A.S. stops the platform from moving.

"Platform stopped. Judging by what you need to do, I'll control the platform in the manner that will help you out the easiest." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"Thanks! We're really grateful for your help!"

Topaz and Jay jump onto the platform. It then starts back up again and goes up to where another platform moved back and forward. The first platform stops here and the second platform does so when close to it.

"Thanks for doing that, V.E.R.I.C.A.S."

"You're welcome, Topaz Amethyst." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

Topaz and Jay jump to this platform. After it goes back to the left, they see a platform just floating there and another large plasma TV floating above it. Beyond the platform are two more energy tube railings.

"Well, I'll jump over there and use that TV to help us out."

"There's no need to do that. I can perform the same functions as that console." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

V.E.R.I.C.A.S.'s front side changes back to a screen with several options to choose from. She reads the options as they are displayed.

"ENERGY REGULATOR SYSTEM
WHAT OPTION WOULD YOU LIKE TO TAKE?
FIND ENERGY CONTAINMENTS? Y/N
OPEN ENERGY VALVE IN PATH RAILINGS? Y/N"

"Okay. Yes to open energy valve in path railings."

"Open energy valve in path railings, corfirmed." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

Blue energy starts flowing through the railings and a blue energy path materializes between the railings. The screen on the front of V.E.R.I.C.A.S. goes back to her "face."

"For your information, I can perform the functions of any and every computer and console in Star City." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"Thanks. We should ask you for these things more often."

Topaz and Jay jump to the next platform, then to the energy bridge. They head across the bridge, which takes a downward slope to where it then levels off before curving up at a 90-degree angle. Topaz and Jay head sideways up the bridge and eventually, the path curves again to an upside-down position. The path now forms a small maze below (or above) them, Topaz and Jay can see that the maze is connected to a couple floating bridges.

"Let's just hope this path doesn't malfunction, or we'll fall to our deaths." -Jay

"Don't give it any ideas!"

"Don't worry, Jay Christian Valentine. These paths at are 100% operating efficency." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

Topaz and Jay head to a three-way junction and notice there are many fireballs floating around the area of the energy path maze.

"More of these things?!" -Jay

"I know how to handle these! V.E.R.I.C.A.S., dissipate energy fireballs."

"Command confirmed. Dissipating energy fireballs." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

All the fireballs here evaporate and explode into nothing.

"Well, just don't accidentaly say to turn off the energy paths." -Jay

"Don't worry, Jay Christian Valentine. I'm aware that there's no chance of survival if you fall from here. I don't execute commands if it's too dangerous to do so." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

Topaz and Jay maneuver the maze, which also consists of rising and falling slopes and paths going above or below each other. Eventually, they reach the end of the maze, where a path extends from the maze, then curves upward. From there, there is another moving platform going back and forth below the energy path. V.E.R.I.C.A.S. knows eactly what to do.

"Deactivating transport platform." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

The platform stops moving beneath Topaz and Jay.

"It's now safe you you to jump off the path." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"Well, you heard her. Let's go!"

Topaz and Jsa jump off the path and fall down onto the platform. The platform then starts moving towards the other side of its path where another platform moves up and down. V.E.R.I.C.A.S. stops both platforms from moving here and Topaz and Jay jump to the second platform. The platform starts moving upward to where a third platform goes back and forth. Here, V.E.R.I.C.A.S. stops both platforms once again.

"I sense powerful defense robots nearby." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"What do you mean, V.E.R.I.C.A.S.?"

"Look to the platform." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

Looks like V.E.R.I.C.A.S. is right. On each of the three floating bridges holding the energy path maze up, there is a Heavy Walker. Several laser fences also sit on the bridges. There are also more energy tube railings starting from the ends of the bridges. The ones on the first one go straight, then make a 45-degree right turn while sloping upward. The railings on the second bridge go straight, then directly down, then straight again to another floating platform at the end of the railings. The railings on the third bridge go straight, then turn to the right at 90 degrees to another dead end where a floating platform moves up and down.

"Well. Looks like if we can sneak by them, they won't activate and attack."

"But there doesn't seem to be any way off the bridges." -Jay

"Well, let's go anyway."

Topaz and Jay jump to the next platform, which starts up by means of V.E.R.I.C.A.S. and heads over to the first bridge. Topaz and Jay jump onto the bridge and before they even land, all three Hover Launchers activate and face Topaz and Jay.

"Warning! Hover Launchers have activated! (Sides of V.E.R.I.C.A.S. go to a 3-dimensional screen containing pictures of a Heavy Walker from all sides and dats flows up and down around the pictures.) Class 2 versions! Equipped with dual 5000RPS chainguns, multi cluster bombs, deployable mini bombs, and Class 4 laser cannons! Threat critical!" -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"Did you say laser cannons?!" -Jay

"(As the screen goes back to V.E.R.I.C.A.S.'s "face".) Yes. Threat from Heavy Walker weapons critical!" -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

Without warning, all three Heavy Walkers start firing their chainguns, which spurt out hundreds of rounds in only seconds. Just as Topaz and Jay seem to be at their end, a half-octagonal energy shield has surrounded them. As it turns out, V.E.R.I.C.A.S. managed to activate it for protection.

"Whoa! V.E.R.I.C.A.S., I never thought you could do that!"

"I'm programmed with free will and the power to manifest new abilities. My only restriction is that I cannot turn on my creator." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"Even though you're protecting us, why is that?!"

"He wanted to make sure I could never be misused. If that were to ever happen, I would automatically self-destruct and so would my CPU system. Professor Arkane Hartache told me that he would never have one of his most trusted creations be used for evil." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"There's still the problem of those things!" -Jay

"I think my Pokémon should rest for this! I have other ways of taking these down!"

Topaz pulls out her laser rifle and points it at the closest Heavy Walker. She then proceeds to fire onto the large tank robot, which takes on some damage with each shot, but it's far from finished. At this point, the robot decides to switch over to cluster bomb launchers and launch two of them out heroes' way.

"Warning! Cluster bomb imminent!" -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"We need to get back to the platform!"

Topaz, Jay, and V.E.R.I.C.A.S. head back to the floating platform, which V.E.R.I.C.A.S. has fixed in place for them to get onto. As soon as they're on, she has it move back to where the other platform moves up and down. From there, they quickly jump onto it just as the cluster bombs explode.

"There's the other platform!" -Jay

"We need to get under the bridge!"

Topaz and Jay quickly get onto the other platform and from there, they are taken to the end of the energy path maze they were just on. The explosions occur everywhere they look, and just as the platform stops, courtesy of V.E.R.I.C.A.S., the explosions nearly incinerate all of them. At this point, the explosions cease and Topaz, Jay, and V.E.R.I.C.A.S. are all right. However, there's still the matter of the Heavy Walkers far above.

"I think I have a plan!"

"What is it?" -Jay

"I think if we stay down here, we'll be all right! I think I might be able to throw the tanks off and use my Pokémon to stun them! V.E.R.I.C.A.S., you should help out was well! Since your creator gave you shields and that energy thing you did earlier, you could be a big help!"

"But I'm not sure if I can..." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"This is no time for computer logic right now! We need to go with this plan!"

"Okay, Topaz Amathyst. I'll go with your plan." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"That's good! Metang, come on out and give me a lift!"

Metang comes out of its Pokéball and floats there. Topaz then jumps onto it and uses it to get up to the energy path. From there, she jumps onto the path and hangs upside-down from it.

"Now, V.E.R.I.C.A.S.! Stun them so that I can sweep in!"

"Affirmitive." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

V.E.R.I.C.A.S. goes up to above the bridge where the Heavy Walkers sit. They turn to face her.

"Deactivate Heavy Walkers! (They don't listen) Emergency shutdown! (They switch over to chainguns.) Power down!" -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"Don't try to reason with them! Just paralyze them or something!"

"Right. Paralyze them." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

V.E.R.I.C.A.S.'s eyes start to glow once more and suddenly, each of the Heavy Walkers are enveloped in teal energy swirls. They happen to be stunned and are taking on damage.Topaz uses this opporutunity to attack.

"Let's go, Metang!"

Topaz jumps back onto Metang and the two of them head up to above the bridges. From there, Topaz starts firing on the first Heavy Walker, damaging it some more.

"Metang, use Dynamicpunch!"

Metang's right claw glows and it goes straight for the first Heavy Walker, but Topaz falls off of it and onto the first bridge.

"Ow! Better remember to be off it next time!"

Metang's Dynamicpunch slams right into the Heavy Walker, damaging the tank even more.

"Topaz Amethyst, I don't know how much longer I can do this." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"Then release your energy to at least do some more work on them!"

"Command confirmed." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

V.E.R.I.C.A.S.'s eyes flash brightly as the swirls of energy explode and damage the Heavy Walkers. At this point, Topaz starts wailing on the first Walker with her laser rifle. As it takes on more damage, it decides to fire lasers of its own. From the bottom of the front of the robot, two large laser cannons slide out and fire large laser beams straight at Topaz, nicking her elbow a little.

"Ow! I forgot all about those!"

At this point, a large red flash comes right across the bridge and slams the Heavy Walker hard, doing some damage to it and stunning it. Topaz decides to fire on the tank some more. Apparently, it's still not down.

"Warning! Warning! Heavy Walkers arranging in laser pattern!" -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

We see that the red flash was Jay's Arcanine, who used Extremespeed to knock down the Heavy Walker. At this point, she feels like she can use a powerful Overheat again.

"I think you've waited enough to use your best attack! Arcanine, Overheat now!" -Jay

Arcanine's body glows red hot and suddenly, a large blast of bright twisting flame shoots forward and hits the second Heavy Walker, doing some serious damage to it, but it still stands.

"Metang, use Meteor Mash to make sure it doesn't get back up!"

Metang's right claw glows and it heads straight for the second Heavy Walker, slamming it hard and doing some more damage to it, but it still doesn't budge much from the impact.

"Exactly how heavy are these?"

"(Going back to the information screen.) The Heavy Walker is 4.5 meters or 15 feet tall, 4.5 meters or 15 feet long, 3.0 meters or 10 feet wide, and weighs approximately 12.5 tons or 25,000 pounds." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"Whoa! Those are huge!" -Jay

"Well, we need to take them down!"

At this point, each of the Heavy Walkers bring out their laser cannons ans fire laser beams that hit each other and deflect, forming zig-zag laser beams that go everywhere. Arcanine barely manages to dodge one of them.

"Looks like they don't know when to quit!"

Topaz starts firing on the legs of the first Heavy Walker, not only damageing it, but causing it to wobble. At this point, the huge tank starts to hover in their air using rocket thrusters on its feet and prepares for another chaingun assault.

"I'm going to try to knock it out of the sky!"

Topaz keeps firing onto the Heavy Walker in hopes of bringing it down. She keeps firing on one of the legs in order to make it wobble. Eventually, it topples and falls down the side of the bridge and to its doom, landing on a large cargo platform floating far below. The platform shakes as the Heavy Walker explodes. Now there's only the matter of the other two.

"Warning! Remaining Heavy Walkers going to mini-bombs!" -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"I got an idea on how to take this one down quickly!"

The Heavy Walkers firs mini bombs at Topaz, but her Metang comes back to her and she decides to use a tactic she used before.

"Metang, use Psychic to hold those in place!"

Metang glows a blue color and so do the mini bombs. As they float there, Metang sends them right back to the second Heavy Walker, doing so much damage to it that it explodes, indicating that there's now only the problem of one remaining Walker.

"Let's try this again!"

Topaz decides to use her laser rifle on the last Heavy Walker, doing some more damage to the tank robot. It decides to fire its chainguns once more, but this is the moment Topaz has been waiting for.

"Metang, right when they fire, use Psychic again!"

The Heavy Walker's chainguns fire and Metang glows a blue color again, catching each of the bullets, which in just seconds have already formed a large sphere. The sphere keeps building, so Topaz decides to send them back.

"Now send them back!"

Metang sends the bullet sphere back to the Heavy Walker, creating micro-explosions everywhere and damageing it even more. Topaz wails on it with her laser rifle in hopes of stunning it. However, she needs a little help bringing it down.

"Metang, use Dynamicpunch!"

Metang's right claw glows again once more and it heads for the Heavy Walker, hitting it hard and doing some more damage to it. Using the opportunity, Topaz keeps firing at it with her laser rifle, At this point, the Heavy Walker decides to fire mini-bombs once again.

"Metang stop them quick!"

Metang uses Psychic just as the mini-bombs are fired and holds them in place. It then sends them right back to the Heavy Walker at close range. Metang gets out of they way of the enusing explosions, which destroy the third Heavy Walker. At this point, Jay has made it back to the bridge on the floating platforms. Also at this point, green energy starts flowing through the first set of tube railings, red energy through the second set, and yellow energy through the third set, blue energy paths materialize between each set of the railings.

"Whoa! That was intense!" -Jay

Jay notices topaz just standing there as she returns Metang to its Pokéball. Jay decides to do the same with Arcanine.

"Arcanine, return. Exactly what are you doing, Topaz?"

We notice that Topaz pulls out what looks like a picture of a young woman with bright yellow hair and with sunglasses in her hair. She appears to be wearing nothing but a large, golden yellow hula skirt that barely hangs on her hips, which are exposed, and the rim of the skirt lined with yellow tropical flowers, a coconut bra, and a necklace of large, golden flowers. She appears to be holding two crosses with each of tips sparking with fire. There's also a large, flaming huls hoop being spun around her hips. (For the record, the picture is simiar to this pic I made *image removed*.) This woman is Electra, and on the other side of the pic happens to be Topaz, who is dressed in a light green hula skirt that is longer, but thinner, and isn't as low-hanging as Electra's, but is lined with blue-and-teal topical flowers. Topaz is also wearing a coconut bra and a necklace of red-and-pink topical flowers. In her hair is a large, indigo-and-violet colored topical flower. Topaz seems to be holding two large tiki torches in her hands and seems to be spinning them. V.E.R.I.C.A.S. also happens to be looking at this picture along with Jay, who decides to ask Topaz what it is.

"Who is that girl anyway? She looks hot." -Jay

"That happens to be my cousin."

"Well, what's her name?" -Jay

Before Topaz can answer, V.E.R.I.C.A.S.'s eyes light up as she looks up data information on Electra. V.E.R.I.C.A.S.'s front side starts to show a video screen with numerous data running up and down the sides. This info comes up on Electra in the upper right hand corner along with a picture while small pictures of spinning images of Raichu, Magneton, Lanturn, Flaaffy, Electabuzz, and Electrode appear on the bottom of the screen:

"Her name is Electra Saphirete, cousin to Topaz Amethyst." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"Hey! I was about to tell him that!"

"Sorry, Topaz Amethyst. (Going back to her "face".) What was the nature of this picture you have taken?" -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"Well, just a week ago, Electra and I took a vacation to Hawaii. Here, we were participating in a hula contest. After the contest, she met this guy who all of a sudden kissed her, so she kissed back. They spent the night together on that very beach. She told me he liked the sound of her heartbeat and that he rested his head on her chest so he could listen to it while they were sleeping. The next morning, he kissed her goodbye and left. Electra told me his name was Volkner, and that he needed to head back to Sinnoh. She said she would go there to see him again. After we got back, she set off there."

V.E.R.I.C.A.S.'s eyes once again light up as she looks up data information on Volkner. V.E.R.I.C.A.S.'s front side starts to show the video screen with numerous data running up and down the sides. This info comes up on Volkner in the upper right hand corner along with a picture while small pictures of spinning images of Raichu, Ambipom, Octillery, and Luxray appear on the bottom of the screen:

"Wow! You must somehow know everyone there is on Earth! Why don't you try Kid Summers!" -Jay

"Jay, this isn't the time for things like that!"

V.E.R.I.C.A.S.'s eyes once again light up as she looks up data information on Kid Summers. V.E.R.I.C.A.S.'s front side starts to show the video screen with numerous data running up and down the sides. This info comes up on Kid in the upper right hand corner along with a picture while small pictures of spinning images of two Weavile appear on the bottom of the screen:

"Hey! Can we get back to what I was talking about?!"

"(Going back to her "face".) Sorry, Topaz Amethyst." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.

"Well, anyway, she's only a year younger than me, but she developed her nack for sneaking into restricted areas from me. When I was only thirteen, we both snuck into a power plant on Mandarin Island. Electra's mother wasn't happy about that. Electra blamed what happened on me and told me it was all my fault. She always was blaming things on me. I happen to care for her and don't want her to go down the same path I did."

"Exactly what did you do?" -Jay

"I became a thief at only seventeen. I started by stealing other people's Pokémon while they left their Pokéballs lying around. When I got older, like almost nineteen, I started stealing things like jewelry. In fact, on a trip to the Whirl Islands, I tried stealing some of the Corsola jewelry they have there. Believe it or not, I joined the military because I got caught stealing the Orange League trophy at the Moro Island Museum. Instead of going to jail, they put me in the hands of POCE, and I've been there ever since. I hardly get any time to spend with Electra, but I make the most of it."

"Wow. If you're wondering about me, I'm also from the Orange Islands. About my family, when I was about four, my parents put me and my sister Robin in a foster home while they went to Sinnoh and made a life for themselves. About a year ago, I went there and found them, but they moved on and didn't care for me or Robin anymore. She and I settled in the Orange Islands and she recently started her own journey. The reason I'm on this mission is because Lance himself chose me to come along. In short, I'm doing this for my sister and also my parents." -Jay

"Well, thanks for the info, but we don't have time to talk about out families like this. I'll go see Electra once we're done here! Let's go! We'll take the middle path out of here! It has a platform V.E.R.I.C.A.S. can operate to get us up higher!"

"Right behind you, Topaz!" -Jay

Topaz and Jay jump to the center bridge and from there, head down the middle enrgy path towards the floating platform.

OOC: I'm sorry, but I honestly have no interest in this RP. >.< [/if you didn't already notice] So I'm going to pull out again. :/ Sorry!

And, unlike last time, I'd rather you not use Zion. At all.

Well, I'm finally adding more to this RP. It's been tough doing so with all the database errors we're getting. I'm simply going to do more for Tsubasa.

T-Minus 17:30:00

Back in the Star Flight area, Tsubasa continues along the space pathways after her meeting with V.E.R.I.C.A.S. Further down the path, Tsubasa can see the large satellite dish in the distance.

"Well, we'll see what we can find there."

As she heads down the path, she then sees a large, disc-like platform constantly turning clockwise The disc consists of circuit red edges that also go towards the center, forming an "X" shape. The rest of the disc has electric-blue static flowing through it and a small tower with graphic green energy flowing upward through it lies in the middle. There is a large laser fence the length of the disc's radius spinning in the same direction, but not as fast.

"Well, this looks simple."

Tsubasa moves onto the spinning disc before the lasers come by and moves along it to a path on the right side. Here, there are three Thunder Chaos waiting along the next path. The first one fires two electric lasers at Tsubasa from its eyes.

"More of these?! Masqin, use Mud Shot to block those lasers!"

Masqin fires a large stream of mud at the first Thunder Chaos, but the lifeform generates an electric shield that blocks the entire attack.

"What the?! It blocked the attack?!"

Just then, the Thunder Chaos splits into cells along with the other two and the entire group of cells cluster together, then use a combined thunder flash to hurt Tsubasa and her Pokémon. The entire area brightens as a result of the huge flash and Tsubasa and her Pokémon are even knocked back by the attack, which seems like a Thunderbolt to them. Masqin took the most damage by the attack.

"OW!! My eyes! I can't see! Waka, use Rock Slide to take them down!"

Waka slams the pathway hard, causing pieces of it in the form of rocks to come bursting upward into the Chaos cell field, destroying several of them. After the attack, the remaining cells regroup into two Chaos and start attacking using Thunderbolts. Funary jumps in and blocks one intended for Masqin with a Thunderbolt of its own.

"Thanks, Funary! Masqin, use Mud Shot again!"

Masqin fires another Mud Shot, but one of the Chaos brings up its thunder shield again, blocking the attack entirely.

"Waka, use Rock slide to hit them from behind!"

Waka uses Rock Slide once more to do more damage to the Artificial Chaos, but they still float. They proceed to fire mote Thunderbolts at Tsubasa and her Pokémon.

"Kappa, maybe you can rush them with a Mach Punch!"

Kappa goes flying through the air with one of her firsts glowing and hits the second Thunder Chaos is the head hard.

"Now Masqin, Mud Shot!"

Masqin uses Mud Shot, again on the stunned Chaos's head, this time hitting it and destroying it. Now there's only one more to deal with.

"Kappa, let's do what we did again!"

Kappa uses Mach Punch once more on the final Chaos, hitting it in the head hard, but the Chaos manages to fire lasers once more at it, and the close range of the blasts causes her to go flying backwards.

"She got hit hard by those laser cannons! Masqin, use Mud Shot once more!"

Masqin immediately uses Mud Shot once again on the Thunder Chaos to take it down once more. With all three of them gone, Tsubasa goes to check on Kapps, who is hurt badly by the lasers.

"Kappa, maybe you need to take a little rest for now."

Kappa returns to her Pokéball and Tsubasa and the rest of her Pokémon continue forward on their quest through this area. Eventually, they come to a switch with sloping sides consisting of video screens showing red minus signs. Tsubasa has seen one of these before and jumps onto the switch to make the screens go to green plus signs and suddenly from out in space, a large, long array of solar panels can be seen spinning upward towards where Tsubasa is. It stops right at the end of the path, forming a large platform for Tsubasa and her Pokémon to use. The panels are glowing and energy waves can be seen flowing across them from both ends.

"Whoa! That was something."

Tsubasa and her Pokémon step onto the solar panel platform and head down it as it goes forward. Halfway down the panels, suddenly, three robotic objects Tsubasa hasn't seen before suddenly teleport into sight, floating along the path. How these look is that the main octagonal part in the center has green glowing glass windows on each of the sloped sides. The rest of the octagonal center is yellow colored. There are six turrets sticking out of the robot, which are red colored, and two octagonal rings wrapping around them that are colored blue and have an energy flowing motion going across them. These happen to be Gravity Accelerators, which can alter the gravity around them in any way. In an outer space place like this, they can be deadly.

"Just what are those things anyway?"

Before Tsubasa can get an answer, the first Accelerator fires a gravity blast at Tsubasa, which hits her and suddenly, she goes falling upward, her Pokéball holding Kappa falling out of her hand and landing on the ground, Kappa coming back out of it. Tsubasa notices a disc-shaped solar panel rotating above her that's attached to the bottom of another space tower. She lands on the disc and can see her Pokémon several dozen feet below her by looking up.

"What just happened there? Guys, be careful!"

Before Tsubasa's Pokémon can attack, The Gravity Accelerators start firing large plasma blasts at high speeds, creating explosions everywhere on the solar platform. Tsubasa happens to be too far to give them commands, but Funary already springs into action by using a Thunderbolt attack on the first Accelerator. Masqin decides to try to gum up the second Accelerator's works, but that one fires a gravity blast that goes straight for Masqin, who manages to dodge it after the Mud Shot hits.

"Wow! My Pokémon are good, but I need to get down from here!"

Suddenly, the first Gravity Accelerator activates powerful particle accelerators built into it and creates a large teal spiral that pulls all of Tsubasa's Pokémon inwards. Kappa and Waka are sucked right onto the Accelerator and are both met with plasma shots, which are powerful enough to blast them right off the robot. Funary, Masqin, and Maw are also pulled onto the mech and are also hit with plasma blasts.

"There must be a way for me to get back down there!"

Suddenly, the Particle Accelerators go wild, firing off multiple gravity blasts in all directions. Kappa is hit by one and goes falling backwards across the solar panel, but manages to grab onto the end of it.

"Kappa's in trouble! Why does it looks like she's falling sideways?!"

Funary is hit with another blast and goes falling to the left. He tries to grab the left side of the panel, and succeeds. Waka is hit with a gravity blast and goes falling upward towards where Tsubasa is and Masqin is hit by one and falls to the right, but his flying abilities kick in and keep him from falling. Maw is hit with another blast and goes falling forward, but lands on the third Gravity Accelerator.

"Waka, what's he doing?

Just as Waka nears the solar disc, a gravity blast travels upward towards Tsubasa and hits her, causing her to fall back down towards the solar panel. She starts to realize what the Accelerators are doing.

"Ahhhhhhhhhh!"

After landing hard on the solar panel, Tsubasa feels hurt from the fall and tries to get up. She wrenches in pain from two big falls.

"Those things must alter the gravity around us! If we're not careful, we could be sent falling into space to out deaths!"

Tsubasa sees Funary clinging to life on the left side of the panel and Kapps doing so at the back of them. In a place like this, gravity change is not a good idea.

"Funary, use Thunderbolt to deatroy that thing! It might set everything back to normal!"

Funary hits the first Gravity Accelerator with a Thunderbolt, doing more damage to it. Suddenly, the Accelerator activates its gravity systems and as teal arrows move downward on all of its panels, Tsubasa falls to the ground and Kappa, Funary, and Maw all fall down onto the panel at normal gravity settings. Masqin is set back to normal gravity as well and from above, Waka comes falling down, its gravity setting also fixed.

"Well, looks like we can take these things down now! Funary, Thunderbolt again!"

Funary fires a Thunderbolt towards the first Accelerator, but the second one activates its particle accelerator and the Thunderbolt is drawn towards it, the electricity spiraling all around it until it hits it. Funary, Tsubasa, and the rest of her Pokémon are all pulled in by its particle field and end up stuck to it.

"Kappa, get a Mach Punch out before it shifts the gravity again!"

Kappa manages to get her fist free and slams the Accelerator with a Mach Punch, shattering it at close range, but knocking evreyone in all directions. After getting up, Tsubasa sees there are still two more of those threats.

"We better hurry, as one of those could send us off into deep space! Waka, use Rock Slide!"

Waka slams the solar panel hard, sending flashing metal pieces flying upward and hitting both of the remaining Accelerators. They start to retaliate with more plasma blasts.

"Masqin, hit them with a Hydro Pump!"

Masqin fires a Hydro Pump at the first Accelerator, hitting it hard and finally destroying it. Now there's only the matter of one more.

"Funary, hit it with a Thunder Wave to keep it from changing any of out gravity!"

Funary discharges a blue stream of electrcity that hits the Gravity Accelerator, stunning it.

"Now Kappa, slam it with a Mach Punch!"

Kappa goes rushing forward with her fist glowing and slams the Accelerator hard.

"Now Funary, one more Thunderbolt should finish it off!"

Funary fires another Thunderbolt at the Accelerator, but it turns on its particle accelerators and this time reverses the field, causing the Thunderbolt to go spiraling outward.

"What the?! That's not good! Funary try again!"

Funary fires another Thunderbolt forward, but just as Tsubasa predicts what will happen, she has Masqin step up to battle.

"Now Masqin, Silver Wind!"

As Funary's Thunderbolt is rendered useless by the Gravity Accelerator's particle fields, Masqin's Silver Wind manages to hit it hard.

"Kappa, one more Mach Punch to finish it off!"

Kapps goes straight for the Accelerator one more and slams it hard, deatroying it. Now with all three Gravity Accelerators out of the way, things seem in the clear for Tsubasa and her companions.

"Whoa! We better be extra careful with those robots if they can do things like that!"

Tsubasa and her Pokémon keep making their way across the solar panel platform until they reach the end, where another pathway begins to the left. Suddenly, three Ice Chaos teleport near the pathway and begin attacking with Ice Beams.

"Okay! I think we can hald these, can we?! Funary stun it with Thunder Wave, then Waka, use Rock Slide!"

Funary sends a Thunder Wave towards the first Chaos, but it generates an ice shield to block the attack. Tsubasa, however, decides to keep going with the plan.

"Waka, now use Rock Slide!"

Waka slams the ground again, causing more solar pieces to go crashing into all three Chaos, exploding into flashing glitter all around them. The Chaos are blinded, but split up into cells and beging doing another group up. Tsubasa knows what's going to happen.

"Everybody, pull back!"

Tsubasa and all her Pokémon move back as the frigid cells discharge a massive ice flash, one that not only brightens the area in blue light, but creates a large ice glacier that blocks Tsubasa's path. The cells float over the ice and come for Tsubasa and her Pokémon.

"Masqin, use Silver Wind to stop them, Waka, Rock Slide again!"

Masqin fires a Silver Wind at some of the cells, doing damage to them before they have a chance to explode or send out any more ice flashes. Waka uses Rock Slide one more, hitting several of them with more panel pieces and destroying them by the pair with the solar explosions.

"Keep it up! We can win this!"

Funary decides to step in and fire a Thunderbolt at a cell group, hitting it and with Masqin's Silver Wind, destroys that whole group of cells.

"Kappa, maybe you should use Bullet Seed to bring these down!"

Kappa fires a lage stream of rapid seeds at the Ice Chaos cells, hitting more of them and taking all that it hits down. After all these attacks, the cells regroup into one single Chaos.

"Time to finish this! Masqin, Silver Wind!"

Masqin fires a Silver Wind at the last Chaos, hitting it, but the subzero energy lifeform decides to fire a pair of ice lasers towards Masqin, who manages to evade them.

"Funary, while it's on Masqin!"

Funary fires a Thunderbolt straight at the Ice Chaos's head, hitting it hard and stunning it.

"Now for one last Rock Slide, Waka!"

Waka slams the ground once more, sending solar pieces into the Chaos and destroying it. With all three Artificial Chaos gone, Tsubasa decides she and her Pokémon better speed things up.

"We better get going! If we reach that satellite dish, we might find something we can use! Maybe you guys should return for now!"

Tsubasa retuns all her Pokémon to their Pokéballs and goes back to her hoverboard, getting back onto it. She then stars going off the solar platform and onto the pathway. Here, there are more speed rings rotating around the path. After passing through several of them, Tsubasa goes zooming down the road at high speeds. Along the way, she passes by several pairs of quad laser cannons, all which fire on her, creating large explosions on the path, but she's moving too fast for them.

"Whoa! That was close! I just hope this stops soon!"

Suddenly, the path makes a 45-degree left turn after passing through another speed ring around it. To her right and left, Tsubasa can see rectangular-shaped digital electronic arrow signs floating to her right and left. The signs are like billboards and red and yellow arrows can be seen flashing and them moving across them in the directions Tsubasa is headed in.

"Whoa! Once you get the hang of it, these things are easy!"

Suddenly, at the end of the path, there happens to be another long rectangular pathway rotating to the left. Tsubasa jumps onto it and starts making her way across it. The only problem is that this time, there are laser fences places all around it on all sides and more quad laser cannons are floating near the path. Looks like things are going to be a little harder then Tsubasa originally thought.

OOC: All right, time for me to post again. I'm so excited because I finally figured out how Kelsey could get out of the state she's currently in! However, I will do Lupin's part first. Oh and also, I started this post on Friday, but didn't have time to finish even Lupin's part. So then I had to wait until late tonight...

Aww, Bijou--or should I say Jyukai--quit? Okay, I guess that means unless whoever else joined posts, this is a duo!

Lupin was in the Haunter Nightcraft again, with Gardevoir and Pencett in the back seat. They all were currently located directly underneath the Space Plant, looking for the secret entrance V.E.R.I.C.A.S. told them to find.

"Okay," Lupin said to his Pokemon, "we're supposed to find a large pipe that runs underneath the building. Let's see if we can..."

The radar screen on the dashboard of the Nightcraft now showed a bundle of small pipes and protruding machine parts and energy discs made for controlling its position in space... and one pipe that was bigger than all the rest.

"I think we have it. Now time for a little follow-the-leader, not that a pipe would be so much a leader..."

<"Well of course not, it's a pipe for cat's sake!"> Pencett laughed.

<"All right, so far so good,"> Gardevoir confirmed. <"The skies are clear. I don't see any spy planes around...">

Lupin guided the Nightcraft along the large pipe that snaked in and out of some of the others. Soon, he was following right below the pipe's path, matching the Nightcraft's movements to its every curve. The pipe curved left, curved right, spiraled around another pipe, went through a large storage container, made a few more turns... And finally, it... disappeared into the floor.

This must be where the pipe ends, and where I'm supposed to go in. Hehheh, sneaky, very sneaky. I can't see the entrance at all, but this radar screen clearly shows a sort of entryway right up there...

It soon became pretty clear what Lupin was talking--er, thinking--about. For the Nightcraft flew into a space between where the pipe entered the building and a protruding storage container next to it. Between the two was some sort of small room, perhaps an unfinished control centre.

"All right, Gardevoir, all we need to do now is open that door there."

<"...Oh, that door? Um... which door?">

"...Oh, of course..."

Lupin could only see the door thanks to the Nightcraft's radar screen, but that door was invisible to the naked eye--even Gardevoir's. After taking a quick look around to make sure there were no suspicious-looking lights in the sky, Lupin turned on the Nightcraft's dimmest possible headlights--black lights that shone from protrusions that looked a lot like a Haunter's hands. These headlights weren't extremely bright, but they were enough for Gardevoir to finally see the door Lupin was talking about.

"All right, you ready?"

<"I'm ready, and I know what you mean. You must have done this with Umbra before. Well...">

In fact it was what Umbra would usually do on this mission: Gardevoir used her Psychic attack to open the door. The opening that resulted looked just big enough for the Nightcraft to fit through...

"Hold it steady, Gardevoir. I'm backing up now..."

Lupin put the Nightcraft into reverse for a while, backing away from the door and turning to face it. Then he hit a few buttons on the dashboard. The dashboard displayed the letters "ECHOLOCATION DEACTIVATED", then "RADAR SHIELD DEACTIVATED", then "ROCKET MANEUVER READY FOR INITIATION". Below that message was a countdown. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...

On zero, the Nightcraft pulled in its wings and shout through the air like a rocket. When it got closer to the building, Lupin turned it so that it flew right into the door Gardevoir was holding open. After that was done, Gardevoir let the door close again, and Lupin landed the Nightcraft inside the room.

Lupin and the two Pokemon were left in silence, but not in complete darkness. For pink light shone from a gravity tube on the left side of the room. However, that tube seemed to be pointed towards them, so if they tried to enter it, it would just push them back into the room. Straight ahead was, as V.E.R.I.C.A.S. mentioned before, an entrance to the interior of the Space Plant. Pencett seemed pleased with this discovery at first, but then she knew that the group would soon encounter more robots and Chaoses and the like. Gardevoir had a slightly more optimistic attitude towards the situation, yet wasn't as excited as Pencett was before. Lupin, however, didn't seemed too pleased.

<"Oh, are you as worried about the Chaoses and such as I am?"> Pencett asked.

"It's not that... Funny, this situation is beginning to remind me of a situation we faced a short while back..."
As Lupin spoke, he got out of the Nightcraft and reached for something in its side. He pulled out the cable used to charge the Nightcraft up, which he began to fasten to a loose wire in the room. Then he went back to look for something else in the rear of the Nightcraft. Finally, he let all his Pokemon out of their Pokeballs.

<"Ermm... what are you looking for?">

"Oh nothing, Feralis... there's just a minor setback. No, I'm quite serious--the setback, as I'm pretty sure, really is minor. Remember that small room we were in before, after the Thunder and Solar Chaoses and before the Surveillance Drones? At that point, our plan almost had to include leaving the Nightcraft behind because it couldn't fit through one of the ways out. Well, we have pretty much the exact same situation here. The Nightcraft's just barely too big to fit through that hole over there."

<"Ohh, I remember that. You sure you can come up with another brilliant way to get around that, like last time?">
Nocturnelle would never forget the special assignment she had to shut down those Surveillance Drones.

"Nope--this time I'm sure we have to leave it behind."

<"What's up?"> Umbra inquired. <"You seemed to regret leaving behind the Nightcraft before, but you don't seem to feel that way now. Why?">

"Well, last time, we were stuck in a room in the middle of the Space Plant. But now, we're in a place where we can easily come back for it."

<"...And how are we going to come back without flying around the Space Plant? Hijack a shuttle or something?">

<"Excuse me, but... would you mind telling me what happened to the Fire Chaos before we go? I'm a little, um...">

Silence fell when this strange new voice was heard. It was a familiar voice, but it hadn't been heard by Lupin or any of the Pokemon for a few hours. And the source of the voice was easily recognisable too...

...So much that Lupin ran over to it and picked it up.
"TOADPIKE! Why... I can't believe it! A while ago, you were a pile of ash, then your Pokeball was locked, then... you're actually here! Welcome back!"

The rest of the Pokemon stared in excitement and awe at Toadpike (except Feralis, who didn't seem to care that much), and Gardevoir and Pencett cried.

<"Umm, what...? What happened? I... I just got hit by the Fire Chaos... a few seconds ago... hey, why am I not burned? Did I become invincible or something? This room seemed to shrink... And I don't remember that glowing pink tube being there before...">

"That's because you're in a different room, silly. More than three hours passed sunce you were burned by the Fire Chaos. The Fire Chaos was defeated a long time ago, and we are in a completely different part of the Space Plant now."

<"Whoa! You mean we're in the Space Plant already? Cool...">

<"Yes, well..."> Feralis commented, walking towards Lupin and Toadpike, <"it is kind of a long story, and I hope everyone will help tell it... Anyways, I was barely able to sit up when I could faintly see you getting singed by your own burning petals. You turned into a pile of ash, basically.">

<"Ah, I remember those petals were the last things I saw before I went unconscious... which felt like a few seconds ago to me...">

<"Anyways, remember when we fought Carmen and Diego? Well, here's your answer to what happened to the Fire Chaos. Nocturnelle probably used Confuse Ray--my guess, since I didn't see her doing so--to control Carmen's Vaporeon. Then she had Vaporeon create this huge wave of water, which wiped out the Chaos completely.">

That must have been the same room I went in, that had the warm, wet floor, Gardevoir realised. The Fire Chaos caused the heat, and the Vaporeon caused the water.

<"Anyways, after we defeated the Fire Chaos, we got back into the Nightcraft and continued towards the space plant, taking your ashes with us. During the ride, all of us except Pencett and Ninetales got back to their Pokeballs. And Ninetales isn't here, so... Pencett, would you...">

<"Oh, where is Ninetales? You said she's not here? And how'd Gardevoir get here? I thought she was back at the train station!">

<"That comes later..."> Pencett explained, wiping a few tears out of her eyes. <"So after that, we had a pretty rough flight to the entrance of the Space Plant. I was scared out of my wits, but boy, Lupin flew us so well that we didn't even hit anything! Whew... Anyways, we enteredwhat we thought was our final destination--this large circular room full of lights and computers. It was really a rest area--and the entrance to the Space Plant. Here, Lupin let us all out of our Pokeballs. At that time, all of us--except Nocturnelle and Lupin, lucky lucky--were pretty badly burned, so many of us--including you, obviously--were left behind in that room to rest. I was left behind too--it hurt so much, ow! Then Lupin continued on, with Ninetales and Umbra and Nocturnelle. And... obviously I have no clue what happened next.">

<"...So I will take it from there,"> Nocturnelle offered. <"Anyways, shortly after entering the Space Plant, we were confronted with some UFO-ish robots called Laser Discs. Three of them in fact. Don't be too scared, Toadpike--the only one of us that got hit by their laser beams was Ninetales. But Ninetales didn't end up like you. Still--she must have been quite badly hurt by that... Anyways, Lupin told me to take care of Ninetales during the battle, but I spent most of the time watching the remainder of the battle... Oops.">
Nocturnelle remembered that Lupin was listening too.

"'Tis all right, Nocturnelle. All you did was break a rule. It would be awfully hypocritical of me to punish you for that."

<"Hahaha, that's for sure. Anyways, those Laser Discs were pretty easy to beat otherwise. But what was funny was what happened afterward. All of a sudden, Ninetales just ran off by herself. Umbra sensed where she went and we followed her. It turns out she found a pool of concentrated energy--one that had healing properties. So we all followed her, and were all fully healed.">

<"Awww... why did I have to suffer all these hours when there was a healing place up ahead?!? Umbra, you could have sensed that was there when we were still at the entrance!!">

<"Well, first of all, I didn't have reason to check what was ahead. Second, I thought all energy pools were harmful, so we followed Ninetales because we thought she was in more danger. I suppose, though, at least the white ones heal...">

<"Yes, well, we're wasting time. Anyways, what also happened was while we were all in the energy pool, Ninetales finally got a telepathic signal from Kelsey! However, apparently Kelsey lost her telepathic connection otherwise--she has never contacted us again since. The important thing is that Kelsey probably knows we're safe. But as wonderful as the energy felt, we couldn't stay in it forever, so we had to continue on. And... Umbra, would you mind telling us what happened after that? I went back in my Pokeball at that point.">

<"Oh yes, that's right,"> Umbra continued. <"Following the energy pool was another rough flight through the Space Plant. Meteor cannons shot at us, motion sensors fired lasers at us, yadda yadda yadda... Then we ended up in a room with two Chaoses in it--a Thunder and Solar chaos. Another battle. But no, we didn't lose anybody to these two--Ninetales got hit by a thunderbolt, but that's it. But you know how the Nightcraft has a reflective bottom? So it was able to reflect all the lasers from the Laser Discs and the light attacks from the Solar Chaos. And Volbeat's Nightmare deflected all electric attacks from the Thunder Chaos. The battle ended with the Solar Chaos exploding and destroying the other as well as itself. It was an interesting battle to watch, really. You should have seen Nocturnelle battle and distract the Thunder Chaos, and Lupin deflecting the attacks from the Thunder Chaos. Anyways, after that we entered the room we just talked about a few minutes ago--the one where we said we might have to leave the Nightcraft behind. This because one tunnel out of the room was full of Surveillance Drones--these robots that fired unstoppable lasers at any intruders, briefly. The other tunnel had an opening about as small as the one up ahead. But, we didn't have to leave the Nightcraft behind at that point because Lupin and Nocturnelle formed a plan to get rid of the drones. It was brilliant really. Nocturnelle went in, invisible so as to not be detected, and just turned off all the Surveillance Drones. Haha, I still remember that. After that, we split up. I went in the Nightcraft with Lupin, and we flew through the previously drone-filled tunnel. In the room beyond that were a bunch of enemies--Laser Discs, Fire Chaos, Heavy Walker--but that's not too important. We had a plan to just avoid these guys rather than fight them...">

<"Yes, and while you were doing that, Ninetales and I took the smaller tunnel to that same room, slipped by the baddies, and hopped into the Nightcraft. Then we all flew into a Gravity Tube that took us outside. Yes, you heard me, outside. What better way than to avoid any robots and such? Anyways, the first thing we did when we got outside was enter this communication building. This building happened to have a computer which was linked to the very room Feralis and Pencett--and apparently Gardevoir--were in. How did you get there anyway, Gardevoir?">

<"After a while, I began to regret my latency in this mission--and even sensed a bit of trouble in the Space Plant. So I followed Lupin there--coming in the exact same way the rest of you did. I even battled Carmen and Diego along the way--Carmen used Wigglytuff and Diego used Kadabra. You faced them too, right?">

"True, but Carmen used Vaporeon in our battle. I suppose Vaporeon was too tired to battle again. But really--you beat those two by yourself? Wow..."

<"Yes, and it was a pretty tough battle... Anyways, I passed the room where you got burned, Toadpike, but the Fire Chaos had already been defeated, so... But, I did have a rough ride myself to the Space Plant. I bumped into a train or two, panicked several times... I thought for sure the Nightcraft would have got damaged when you flew through here, but... Whatever happened, I ended up in the entrance to the Space Plant, where I came upon a huge stroke of luck. Pencett and Feralis were there! As was Toadpike, but... What's more, I used the computer to communicate with Lupin in the other room. Then there happened to be a hidden teleporter in the Space Plant entrance--so Pencett, Toadpike, Feralis, and I travelled through it and met up with Lupin and the rest at last. And, Toadpike, you were no longer a pile of ash at that point--you were a rafflesia flower with a dull blue orb in it.">

Toadpike laughed at this last remark, as did Lupin.
"I actually knew about that teleporter before and forgot to mention it at the time... Which is why I wasn't worried about leaving you three behind."

<"Anyways,"> Gardevoir continued, <"after we were all reunited, we just flew along the edge of the Space Plant, heading all the way to where it was dark so spaceships could not spy on us. But... something funny happened along the way. At one point, we were flying through one of the trenches that lined the outside--we spent all our time in those at first--and our path was obstructed by this strange light beam coming from a fallen shuttle. Ninetales decided to go check it out, but when she touched it, she vanished...">
Gardevoir started crying again--though not as hard or as happily as before.

"Since Gardevoir's in no mood to talk now... After Ninetales disappeared, we continued on till we reached the dark side of the surface, where nobody could see us. We flew in this dark zone for a while--until we found another control room to rest in. That control room was really surprising. First of all, there in the centre of the room was another pool of concentrated energy--another white one. We all were fully healed again. But that wasn't all. We also met this sort of virtual database--and quite a personality as well--called V.E.R.I.C.A.S. That stands for Virtual Electronic Robotic Intelligence Computer Automated System. But anyways, V.E.R.I.C.A.S. seemed to know everything about Star City and the POCE in general. She helped us in two ways. First of all, she had information on Kelsey because Kelsey used to be in the POCE. She was even able to pinpoint her location, which was on Pine's Island. More interestingly, she told us that Kelsey had Ninetales with her. What a lucky break--I'm still surprised that Ninetales happened to end up near where Kelsey was! So Ninetales is now safe and sound--I hope--with Kelsey. Anyways, the second thing V.E.R.I.C.A.S. told us was how to find a way back into the Space Plant--a way which would lead directly to the control complex for the defense systens of Star City. It really was a hidden entrance--apparently only she knew about it. Anyways, this brings us to the present--for the room we all are now in is in fact that secret entrance. Well now, Toadpike, now do you know where you are?"

<"Affirmative, Commander Lupin,"> Toadpike joked. (She even saluted.) <"Well, no time to waste! Let's go already! We're leaving the Nightcraft behind, right?">

"For now, Toadpike. For now."
Before leaving, Lupin pressed a final switch on the Nightcraft's dashboard, and took out a sort of rectangular key which he put in his pocket. The screen on the dashboard which previously had a picture of a battery on it now read "ANTI-THEFT SHIELD ACTIVATED".

The Nightcraft was indeed left behind as Lupin and the six Pokemon walked back into the Space Plant through the small tunnel. Everybody fit through without too many problems--though Lupin and Gardevoir had to duck through it. This tunnel curved to the left, but didn't last very long. For then it opened to a fairly large and spacious room, which had virtually no machine parts littering the floor or walls. Instead, streaks of blue fluorescent lights lined the walls, and the floor had a faint purple glow to it and appeared to be made of hard plastic. What was more curious about the room was three strange, cubic devices floating about. They had protrusions that sort ofresembled spikes or skinny poles sticking out of each face, but their interiors were nothing but computer chips. Which could mean one definite thing--that these were not duplicates of V.E.R.I.C.A.S.--and one probable thing: that they were not a good sign.

OOC: If I have time, I'll edit this post with Kelsey's part... And in case you haven't noticed already, Toadpike (Lupin's Vileplume) is revived at last, and her speech is in brown.

**At first, I had a tendency to leave out the part where Lupin and his Pokemon told Toadpike what happened on their journey so far, but then I figured that would be a nice summary of several of my previous posts. So yes, whoever's reading this RPG now and wants to know what my character did, you need only read up to the part where Toadpike gets burned to ashes, then just look at the summarized version in this post. But anyways... more to come later.

Well, I finally got another piece of the RP ready to view! I also edited my most recent post, so remember to check that out! This particular post sends us back to our group of Trainers on Pine's Island as they trverse the electric lake surrounding the compound. You'll also find out the source of the electrical surges in the lake in this post.

T-Minus 18:30:00

Back on Pine's Island, our group of Pokémon Trainers have just arrived at the lake surrounding Professor Pine's compound. As they explode the lakeside, the lake flashes with electricity once more. There also doesn't seem to be any way of crossing the lake that can be seen.

"Wait a second! The Commander told us about this lake! Maybe there's something in my backpack that I packed some stuff from the beach into that we can use!"

Ayu looks into her backpack and finds what lookc like a large, package like object that's colored yellow. There's a tab on it that Ayu pulls and suddenly, the object inflates into a large rubber raft that looks like it can resist the electricity of the lake.

"Can we use that to get across?!" -Kiro

"I think we can! Ayu, go put it in the water and see!" -Nova

"Well why don't some of you guys help me?"

"Here! I'll help you push it in!" -Ali

"I will, too!" -Lou

Ayu, Lou, and Ali all push the raft into the lake. Just as it fall in, another surge of electricity illuminates the lake, but the raft looks intact.

"All right, everyone! Let's go!"

Everyone jumps into the raft in this order, Ayu, Ali, Lou, Nova, Scar, and Kiro. As another electric surge courses through the lake, some people get scared of the electricity all around them.

"Ahhhhh!" -Kiro

"Don't be afraid, Kiro! This thing can make it!"

"Is there any way to get this to move faster?" -Nova

"Yeah! There is!"

Ayu goes up to the front of the raft and pushes down on a segmewnt of the front, which suddenly flips over to a control panel and a small video screen and keys. She presses one of the keys and from the back of the raft, a metal post slides out with large blades then jutting out of it. It happens to be the raft's motor, and it turns on and the raft starts moving as another electric surge occurs in the lake.

"Well, we're now moving." -Ali

"It looks like we'll be able to make it to the other side with this!" -Scar

WHile it seems like smooth sailing at first, while another electrical surge goes through the lake, a small part of it has electricity bulging upward. Suddenly, a large metal post rises from the water and fences of large laser beams are fired from it in four directions.

"Everybody get down!"

Everyone gets down as the laser fences sweep by, but the raft as you would guess deflects the beams. It's just that if sitting upward, any of our Trainers can end up dead by the laser sweep. The laser fences keep moving counterclockwise as another electrcal surge floods the lake.

"How long do we keep like this?" -Nova

"I don't know! hopefully, once we get past this post, we'll be in the clear!"

As another electric surge occurs, three more electric bulges can be seen and from the electric water, three more large posts, also firing off huge laser fences, rise out. Ayu is able to see where they are going with the contaol panel's video screen.

"Looks like we'll be staying down like this for quite a while. I better steer this!"

Ayu presses some more keys on the panel and four quarter circle pieces come on out slone with a metal stub. The quarter circles attach to the stub and become a steering wheel. As another electrical surge overtakes the water, Ayu steers the raft to the right to avoid ramming the first post.

"When will they stop?!" -Kiro

"I guess they don't stop! We may have to stay like this the entire time!" -Nova

As Ayu turns the raft to the right, another electric surge occurs. While thing may looks difficult right now, they are made even worse as a large laser blast impacts the water near the reaft, creating a splash explosion that sends some water into the raft. As it turns out, the massive laser cannon on top of the compound is firing on them.

"Looks like we got more trouble!"

As Ayu's left leg sits in the water in the raft, suddenly, along with an another electrical surge in the lake, the water puddle also electrifies, shocking Ayu, who screams in pain from the unexpected shock.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

"What juat happened?!" -Nova

"It looks like something just shocked Ayu, but isn't this raft supposed to block the electricity?!" -Lou

"I don't think the raft's the problem! Quick, somebody get Ayu away from the water!" -Nova

Nova grabs and pulls Ayu from the front of the raft as another electric surge occurs. The water in the raft does the same.

"Exactly what's going on here?!" -Nova

As it turns out, Ayu is unconscious after the shock. As another laser blast hits the water, splashing some more into the raft, Nova has a hunch on what's going on with the water.

"Everyone, don't touch the water!" -Nova

Everyone gets away from the water puddle as another electrical surge occurs in the lake. Electricity also overtakes the water in the raft. Even though they don't know or can even see it, the electrical surges that occur in the lake are actually caused by quadrillions, maybe even quintillions, sextillions of even more of high-powered nanobots spread out throughout the entirety of the lake. Each nanobot discharges a huge electric surge through the water and through each of them, the entire lake becomes electrified. As it turns out, both splashes of water that went into the raft ended up carrying nanobots with them that continue to electrify the water at regular intervals.

"Looks like we'll have to keep the water from splashing into here too much or this raft will be just as dangerous as the lake!" -Ali

Since the front of the raft has a lot of water, which electrical surges flood, along with those from the lake, Nove realizes it may be a little harder to steer the raft.

"I'm going to try and reach the wheel!" -Nova

Nove reaches out to the wheel and grabs it. He manages to turn the raft to the left of one of the other posts. The laser cannon fires off once more and the splash sends more water into the raft. Some water even splashes onto Nova's arms.

"Nova, get the qater off of you quickly!" -Kiro

Ayu manages to get back up at this point and realizes how the water could react to Nova's body.

"Nova, if that water evaporates into you skin, there's a chance that can kill you!"

Ayu quickly reaches into her backpack and pulls out a towel. She quickly gets Nova's arms and dries them with it. She then throws the towel to the side. As another electrical surge occurs in the lake, one occurs in the raft's water and also in the towel, burning it to a crisp.

"Good thing I didn't really like that towel!"

"We really need to bail the water out of here!" -Nova

As the raft passes by the laser posts, the large laser cannon fires another blast, sending even more water into the raft. After that happens, the electrical surge happens once more and many more electric bulges can be seen. From them, large multi-missile launchers rise up from the water.

"This isn't good! I better set this on Evasive Manuever Autopilot!"

Ayu reaches out to the control panel and presses a key that sets this function of the raft. An OS voice also comes on the raft.

"Evasive Manuever Autopilot activated." -Raft OS Voice

As the missile launchers fire large missiles capable of destroying the raft, it swerves by them with amazing speed and agility. The laser cannon fires once more, but the raft manages to elude the splash.

"Why didn't we just use that before?!" -Nova

"Because I didn't think it would be necessary!"

As another electrical surge occurs on the lake and the water in the raft, large electrical bulges can be seen and from them, large electric beam fences rise from the water all over the place, forming a barrier further ahead.

"Looks like we got trouble!"

The raft manages to swerve by several of the fences along the way. With all the defenses in the lake, crossing it is next to impossible.

"I just hope we actually make it to the center!" -Nova

The laser cannon goes off once more, this time some water splashes onto Kiro. Before anyone can react, suddenly, the electrical surges happen once more and due to the water on her, Kiro is electrocuted beyond belief.

"(screaming loudly) AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" -Kiro

"Oh, no! KIRO!!!"

The huge shock leaves Kiro is an unconscious and life-threatening state. In fact, she's been shocked so badly that the next one could kill her.

"This isn't good! I packed another towel in here!"

Ayu quickly gets out her second towel and throws it onto Kiro, quickly drying her. As the laser cannon fires once more near the raft, Ayu throws the towel to the side as the electric surges happen once more. This towel is also burned to a crisp.

"I don't think Kiro is all right! Well, Nova, I guess I'll need to do what you did to me."

Ayu holds Kiro's head back so that her mouth is open. The laser cannon fires again near the raft while she is doing this. Ayu then positions her head over her mouth. Ayu takes a deep breath, then exhales into Kiro's mouth, making a tight seal. The breath lasts for five seconds. After the breath, Kiro is still not breathing. Ayu simply decides to keep going at it. At this point, another electric surge occurs in the lake and the raft.

"(Pressing down on Kiro's chest.) 1! 2! 3! 4! 5! (Breathes into Kiro's mouth.)"

"(Pressing down on again.) 1! 2! 3! 4! 5! (Breathes into Kiro's mouth.)"

"(Pressing down on again.) 1! 2! 3! 4! 5! (Breathes into Kiro's mouth.)"

"(Pressing down on again.) 1! 2! 3! 4! 5! (Breathes into Kiro's mouth.)"

"(Pressing down on again.) 1! 2! 3! 4! 5! (Breathes into Kiro's mouth.)"

At this point, the laser cannon fires once again near the raft, which evades the blast.

"(Pressing down on again.) 1! 2! 3! 4! 5! (Breathes into Kiro's mouth.)"

Another electrical surge occurs in the lake.

At this point, Kiro starts coming to! She coughs and looks at Ayu. The laser cannon goes off yet again.

"Ayu?" -Kiro

"Yes, it's me, Kiro."

Another electrical surge floods the lake and the water in the raft.

"I don't think this is good right now!" -Nova

From the electric water, more electrical bulges can be seen. From the water, several small boats rise out of the water. They happen to be automated and instead of windows lots of flashing and flowing lights can be seen on the front and sides of them. There are three missile launchers on the front of each of them, twin two-sided laser cannons on each side of the boats, and a neutralizer dish on the top of each one. They also have multi mine deployers on the backsides, which are already sending out large amounts on electric-proof mines into the water. Looks like the trek across the lake could prove to be even more difficult for our group of Trainers.

Due to Tbone2356 not coming to Pokécommunity much and posting in this RP, I decided to make up for lost time and take control of his character for now. This pieces take place a couple hours earlier than where we are now and it basically just an introduction piece. There's no action other than those form the games Noah and Jae are playing. Anyway, I'll also put this in the first post for you to look at.

Noah (Tbone2356's): Teal

T-Minus 20:00:00

Several hours back, Noah and Jae are within the Star Gardens area of Star City. Located a distance from the main city, Star Gardens happens to be an apartment and condominium area. Here, there are massive apartment complexes sprawling all over the place with parking lots and lawns in between them. The place also includes a lot of recreational areas, such as a large playground and playset for kids to play in, a miniature golf field, several tennis courts along with a refreshment stand, and also a public pool and clubhouse. We go into the clubhouse, where inside one of the recreational rooms, there are several arcade games placed along the sides of the room and several more along the floor. Near the center of the room happens to be a square-shaped arcade game system with a large 3D holographic image being displayed on the top of the game system. From all sides of the image, we can see that the game is similar to Pacman, with a Sunflora head eating seed pellets placed throughout the maze and dodging four Gastly that are much like the ghosts of Pacman. As it turns out, Noah is hard at work playing this game and Jae is watching him.

"Why don't you get the Pokéblock? That's worth big points!" -Jae

"I can't! There's a ghost there!"

"Come on! You can weave by it! You're at Level 28! I've never gotten that far!" -Jae

"Well, I got only three lives left! I don't want to waste them!"

"Well, I'm going to go play one of the Wii games now if you don't mind. I've never played any of these before." -Jae

Jae heads to a wall of game systems until he sees one for the Nintendo Wii. It consists of a video screen and a console with a small bubble dome containing a Nintendo Wii fixed into it.

"Please deposit $5 for each hour of game play." -Wii OS Voice

Jae puts in some money into the deposit system on the right of the console, which consists of a small video screen and a square panel of buttons. From a drive on the left side of the console, a panel slides open and a Wii Remote and Nunchuck come hovering out of it. They move to Jae and float in front of them. Jae grabs both of them and on the screen, the Wii logo comes up.

"Hope I put in enough money for this." -Jae

A list of games then comes up for Jae to choose. They consist of these titles, Pokémon Wars: At Struggle's End, Golbal Force: Team Evasive, Robot Planet: Cyber Invasion, and countless more. A part of the screen displays the game that the cursor is on.

"Wow. These are all quite old games. These must have come wayyyyyy before the Nintendo Holoview." -Jae

"Aw, I just lost two of my lives to those ghosts!"

"Well, I'll go with "Cosmic Commanders: Galaxy Storm"." -Jae

"Welcome to Cosmic Commanders: Galaxy Storm." -Wii OS Voice

Jae selects the game and starts playing it. Meanwhile, Noah just got a Game Over while playing what we'll call "Sunflora Pacman".

"Game Over." -Game OS Voice

"Aw, I was at Level 30! Well, I'm not playing this again! Let's see what else I can find."

Elsewhere in the middle of the room, there is a large game system with a dome over it. Noah decides to play this game.

"Please deposit $.50 to play." Game OS Voice

"Well, I used up most of my money playing those other games, better try this one."

Noah gets out the money he needs and puts it into the deposit system on the front of the game system. From inside the dome, a holographic image of what looks like a flowing galaxy appears and in the middle, in large letters "METEOR PINBALL" appears. Controls for the game slide out of the side and involve a rectangular-shaped toushccreen with various keys that are used in a pinball game. After the title screen, a holographic 3D multilevel pinball table composed of space station pieces, energy panels, solar discs, and other assorted spaceship-themed parts appears in the dome.

"Welcome to Meteor Pinball." Game OS Voice

"Here we go! I'm so good at pinball, I'll be playing this all night long!"

Noah starts to play the game by launching his first pinball, which looks like a sphereical satellite. As soon as the pinball is launched into the table, several meteors come flying across the table from the left side.

"Meteor shower! I repeat, Meteor Shower!" -Game OS Voice

The meteor shower knocks the ball throughout the table.

"A meteor shower already?! Better get through this!"

Noah manages to bounce the ball off one of the lower flippers and it goes up to a slot machine shaped like a space station at the top of the table. Once the meteor shower is over, the ball goes over the table and into the slot. The slot reels on the front start to display various symbols at a lightning fast rate.

"All right now! Time to net me a prize!"

Noah presses one of the buttons on the toushscreen so that a pinball appears on the first reel, then another pinball, and finally, a third pinball. By doing this, Noah got an extra pinball to use that is launched into the table field. Along with it, a second touchscreen slides out from below the first one and further out than the first one.

"Extra Pinball Gained." -Game OS Voice

"Aw, I was hoping for the jackpot!"

Noah now manages the two pinballs on the table, eventually, the game's OS voice comes on with this message.

"Warning! Warning! Supernova detected! Will impact pinball field in 30 seconds!" -Game OS Voice

"Well, I need to get these into safe zones so that I don't lose them in the supernova!"

Noah manages to fling the first ball off of a left flipper and into an octagonal-shaped object, a safe zone. Is gets locked into there. His second ball bounces around satellite-shaped bumpers, netting Nova more points, but he isn't getting the ball into a safe zone.

"Warning! Supernova reaching critical mass! Will impact field in 15 seconds!" -Game OS Voice

Noah tries to get the pinball into a safe zone, but it gets caught is a spiral of stars that it keeps bouncing off of. Eventually, it's too late as the game OS system comes on with the supernova.

"Supernova has reached pinball field! Prepare for impact!" -Game OS Voice

Suddenly, a massive supernova can be seen going across the field and the entire dome lights up brightly along with supernova explosions sounds. After the light clears, this message comes up.

"Extra pinball lost. Pinballs remaining: 3." -Game OS Voice

The second touchsceeen slides back into the game system, and Noah's other pinball is ejected from the safe zone. He continues to keep playing the game.

"Well, I'll just get another one then!"

Noah continues to play the game, and suddenly, several small satellites appear flying across the table, stopping to fire several laser beams.

"Warning! Laser Satellites detected!" -Game OS Voice

One of the multiple lasers ends up hitting the pinball, sending it bouncing down to the lowest level where a tue-shaped energy cyclone resides, most likely a shute down to below the lower flippers, where a black hole can be seen.

"What the?! What is it with all these things popping up in this game?!"

As the laser satellites continue to sweep the pinball field, Noah sees his pinball go down the tube and into the black hole at the bottom of the field.

"Pinball lost. Pinballs remaining: 2." -Game OS Voice

"Well, I'm going to get back at them for it!"

Noah launches his second pinball into the field and immediately tries to get it back up to the slot machine. He hits it up a line of bumpers and through another energy tube, which drops it off near the slot machine.

"I guess I can get another pinball!"

Noah hits the ball off another bumper neat the top and sinks it into the sloat machine. Along the slot reels, Noah tries to get a good lineup, but when he presses the button, the first reel stops at a meteor. He then presses the button again and another meteor pops up. He presses it one more time and a third meteor appears.

"Super Meteor Shower Activated." -Game OS Voice

As a result of the slot machine, another meteor shower occurs, but this one is much more powerful and the meteors are much bigger, causing explosions all over the pinball field. After leaving the slot machine, the ball get hit by an explosion and sent through a loop down to the middle level.

"What's this? A meteor shower as a prize?!"

"Can you keep it down there?! I'm trying to play this game! I'm in a big space laser fight right now!" -Jae

"Sorry!"

The meteor shower also continues on for longer periods of time. Noah's pinball is sent through a set of bumpers and stars. At the end of the path, a larger star appears. In this game, those are worth big points.

"I better get that star!"

As Noah tries to reach the star, he gets hit by another meteor and is thrown downward towards the lowest level. Using the table tilting controls (which he has been using throughout the entire game, mind you), he tries to get back up to the star, but it disappears.

"Stupid meteor!"

One more meteor knocks the ball towards the lowest flippers on the table. He manages to use one of them to get back up to near the top of the table where the slot machine is. Suddenly, another warning on the game's OS system pops up.

"Warning! Warning! Cosmic currents approaching!" -Game OS Voice

"Now what?!"

Suddenly, several streams of cosmic energy rip through the pinball field, suycking the ball down with one of them. The pinball goes all the way into the black hole at the bottom of the table, leaving him with only one left.

"Pinball lost. Pinballs remaining: 2." -Game OS Voice

"Again?!"

Noah launches his final ball into the field and begins to attempt to reach the slot machine once more.

"This time, it's personal!"

Noah manages to get up to the slot machine by means of a star-filled shortcut, which also got him a lot of points. After reaching the slot machine, the ball drops into it and the slot reels start up once more.

"Now jackpot, come to papa!"

Noah presses the button and what looks like a spiral spinner pops up.

"Exactly what is this?!"

Noah presses the button again, and gets another spinner, and then another.

"Spinner Storm Activated." -Game OS Voice

Suddenly, a lot of the spinners like the ones displayed on the slot reels come flying across the table from all corners. As the ball leaves the slot machine, it gets caught in one of the spinners and spins through it at high speeds before being shot out a second later.

"Whoa! These are something!"

The ball goes into another incoming spinner and is shot back in the other direction towards the lower level. It lands in an energy tube and is sucked towards the top of the middle level, where more bumpers float. It makes its way through them and manages to get one of those larger stars.

"Yes! I got one of those!"

The ball goes into another spinner coming by and is shot back down towards the bottom of the table, but one more spinner sends it back up towards the top. At this point, there is another warning coming on the game's OS system.

"Warning! Warning! Electromagnetic storm approaching!" -Game OS Voice

As the storm of spinners ends, there is a huge amount of electromagnetic disturbance forming in the entire dome. Suddenly, as flashes appear everywhere, the gravity of the pinball field is warped and the ball goes falling upward towards the top.

"Whoa! Everything's messed up now!"

The gravity in the field keeps changing and the balls is sent zooming towards the right side of the table and is sent down into an energy tube. The tube leads to near the black hole at the bottom.

"No! Not the black hole again!"

Noah's pinball is dropped near the flippers down there. While he manages to bounce the ball off one of them, the electromagnetic storm sends the ball straight into the block hole. With his last pinball gone, Noah has gotten a game over.

"Game Over. Total Score: 284000. Try Again?" -Game OS Voice

At this point, Noah presses no and the holographic image fades out do that nothing resides in the dome. Jae is still busy with his game.

"Jae, I'm going to go to the shake bar on the other side of the clubhouse. You want anything?"

"Get me a Ice Shake! I'm doign really good at this game!" -Jae

Noah heads out of the game room and towards the other side of the clubhouse. The two of them should start looking for than secret entrance sooner or later.

"I really, really, REALLY don't like Professor Pine right now. I mean, I understand not wanting anyone to bother him, but there's no need to kill us all!" Kitty's irritation flared up at each surge of electricity through the lake. Still, there was nothing to be gained by complaining. The biggest problem at the moment was the small fleet of automated boats speeding towards them. As far as she knew, they were completely defenseless apart from the autopilot that was keeping them out of harms way.

Whether or not this would do any good was uncertain. Dodging beams being fired from stationary objects would be much easier than objects that were moving. And there were three of them. With a couple of their members already injured from the electricity producing nanobots in the water, it seemed unlikely that they'd all make it to the island.

Another surge of electricity flared up all around them as well as in the water sloshing about in the raft. Kitty as thus far stayed far away from the little pool but the biggest problem was coming from the water being splashed up by the laser beams. If only they had some kind of weapon.

"Wait..." Kitty eyed the boats carefully as they neared. It would be only a matter of moments before they fired. Like the raft the trainers were in, the boats could obviously withstand the electrical surges. But what if they somehow managed to do to the boats what the laser splashes had done to the raft? "Hey, I think I might have an idea. Those boats are automated, right? Maybe if we could somehow get water into the barrels of those missile launchers...but I don't know..." She broke off, watching the electric proof mines surrounding the boats.

"Well, something has to be done. We can't rely on this autopilot to get us safely across the lake. We need to protect ourselves, and more importantly, the raft. If anything happens to this raft then none of the other things are going to matter. The electricity will kill us in an instant." She looked around at the other trainers, lingering over Kiro in concern, then flicked back to the boats. What were they going to do? Was there any way their Pokemon could help? No...they'd just be sending them to their death. Then what could they do?

OOC: My bad. ^^;

OOC: Alana, the Professor on the Island is Professor Pine, but thanks for posting. Well, I'm going to keep this RP goign with another post from me.

T-Minus 16:50:00

Back inside the Meteor Base, Nived looks as if he is to fall to his death. However, he is then suddenly pulled to the left and onto a Gyro Ball. As it turns out, the group of Gyro Balls was spread out from the cluster bomb explosions. The sphere goes zooming towards the far left wall and bounces off of it. It then bounces off of the side of one of the large pillars and then goes towards another path in the floating bridge maze. Here, he decides to jump off and land on the path. Salamence and Metagross make their way to where Nived is as more Gyro Balls fly over the place.

"Whoa! That was close! Too close!"

Noticing he's away from the Heavy Walker, Nived decides to head down the path ahead of him, which slopes upward towards another regenerating bomb. In front of the bomb, three Hover Launchers just floating there activate, but Nived decides to finish things quickly.

"Salamence, use Flamethrower quick!"

Salamence fires a Flamethrower at the bomb before the Hover Launchers can attack, setting it off and destroying all three of them.

"Good work! There's no time to waste! Remember, if we don't stop Team Rocket and the Shuttle Gang in time, this entire place is going to be nuked!"

The path makes a right turn, and then a left. From there, the Heavy Walker spots them and opens fire with its chainguns.

"Guys, hightail it out of here!"

Nived seems to have come to a dead end, but from the bottomless pit below, an Artificial Chaos floata upward. It happens to be an Ice Chaos, which Nived decides to take down immediately.

"Salamence, Flamethrower!"

Salamence fires a Flamethrower at the frigid liquid lifeform, but the Ice Chaos generates an ice shield that deflects the flames.

"Metagross, use Meteor Mash to hit it while it's stunned!"

Metagross goes flying towards the Chaos with its right claw glowing and just as soon as its shield is down, slams it hard in the head.

"Now another Flamethrower to finish it off!"

Salamence uses Flamethrower once more on the stunned Chaos, doing enough damage to it to destroy it. At this point, from panels on the ceiling that open up, several arrays of grates float down and set themselves horizontally, any extensions folding out. Once everything is done, a maze of floating grates leads all the way to the other side of the hall.

"Whoa! All that from just one of those things?"

Nived knows what he has to do. He jumps onto the start of the grates and starts shimmying forward on them. Nived takes the grates in these directions; forward, left, right, slope down, far left, left, slope far up over the other path of grates, go left, right, left, slope down, far left, right, slope up, go right, right, left, slope down below another set of grates, then go left to a vertical grate with a flappable door on it.

"Wow! Whoever designed this must've been crazy!"

Nived punches the door and it flips to the other side. From there, he climbs upward to another door and punches that one to flip to the other side. There's another vertical grate heading to the left from here, but Nived notices what look like Laser Discs coming for him. There happen to be six of them.

"This is not good! Salamence, use Flamethrower so stop them!"

As the first of the Laser Discs comes forward, Salamence comes by and fires a Flamethrower at its center, destroying it. However, one of other ones decides to fire green laser bursts towards Nived. As he sees the horizontal laser rain coming for him. He lets go of the grate and lands on top of the one he was on earlier.

"That was close!"

Nived makes his way across the top of the grates until he comes to a turn. From there, he can see three of the Laser Discs comeing towards him, firing blue laser beams that spin around the place.

"Salamence, use Flamethrower again!"

Salamence fires another Flamethrower at one of the apporaching Laser Discs, hitting it in the center and destroying it. The rest stop moving towards Nived and decide to fire more green laser bursts. Nived gets hit in the shoulder by a stray laser and almost falls off the grate.

"Ow! This is too much!"

Salamence proceeds to use another Flamethrower and gets rid of another one of the Laser Discs. Exactly what must all these robots be trying to hide in this complex? Nived can't figure that out now since threre are still three more Laser Discs to get past.

"How do I get off of here?"

Nived notices a stray Gyro Ball floating nearby.

"If I can reach that, I might be able to push that sphere towards the end of this hall."

Nived decides to make a running jump towards the Gyro Ball and while he doesn't make contact with it, its gravitational pull allows him to land on it.

"Salamence, use Flamethrower to push this sphere towards the end of the hall!"

Salamence obeys and fires a Flamethrower at the side of the Gyro Ball, causing it to be pushed forward. Both Salamence and Metagross follow the sphere as it moved forward, ready for the three Laser Discs that might try and stop them. Just then, Nived notices two laser fences on the way to the end of the hall. The hovering grate maze snakes its way through the fences, but that's not important.

"Guys, be careful of those lasers!"

Fourtunately, the Gyro Ball passes between the laser fences, Nived getting onto the side of it to avoid the lasers himself. After the fences, Nived has reached the end of the hall where another set of doors resides. Upon reaching it, Nived jumps off the Gyro Ball and lands on the balcony. Salamence and Metagross also reach here just as the Laser Discs start charging up red laser blasts.

"Come on guys! We better get out of here!"

After heading through the doors, Nived and his Pokémon have entered a large, octagonal shaft. The slanted walls on the shaft are glass and have countless streams of laser beam circuitry moving up, down, left, and right behind them. There are several floating platforms moving in all sorts of directions on the way down and countless lasers like the ones seen in the prevoius shaft.

"Well, those platforms will make the fall easier."

Nived makes the jump down to the first platform, which moved left and right, and a laser moves back and forth. Before the laser reaches him, he jumps off and lands on another platform moving up and down. Here, not only does he have to watch out for two lasers moving in diagonal directions, but two Fire Chaos appear.

"Not these again!"

Thw two energy liquid lifeforms proceed to fire intense Flamethrowers at Nived, but he jumps off before they have a chance to hit him. He lands on yet another platform hovering in place below.

"Salamence, use Hydro Pump to get rid of those!"

Salamence fires a Hydro Pump at the first Fire Chaos, but it kicks up a fire shield that blocks the powerful attack. The second one fires red hot lasers at the Dragon/Flying type. Sadly, Salamecne gets its right wing hit by one and almost starts to spiral out of control.

"Salamence, hang in there!"

Salamence stays in the game and fires another Hydro Pump at one of the Chaos, hitting it in the head and doing some major damage, enough to destroy it. The other one splits into cells and decides to converge on Salamence.

"Metagross, use Psychic to stop those cells in place!"

Metagross starts glowing a blue color and so do the Fire Chaos cells. Eventually, the cells are enveloped in blue swirls and take on damage.

"Now how about another Hydro Pump?!"

As the cells start to form a cluster, Salamence fires a Hydro Pump straight at them, hitting and destroying them all.

"Now let's get going!"

Nived notices a floating bridge further down the shaft and decides to jump down to it once a path is clear amongst a bunch of moving lasers. Upon reaching the bridge, he can see a set of doors to the left. Once Salamence and Metagross rejoin him, they all head through to enter a hall sloping downward. As with these halls from earlier, there are some laser grids to get past.

"Let's get through here quick!"

Nived heads down the hall to the first laser field. Once some of the horizontal lasers drop, Nived jumps in between two of the vertical ones. After the jump he realizes that Salamence and Metagross can't fit through and decides that maybe they go back into their balls for the time being.

"You guys better return, Especially you, Salamence!"

Further down the hall, there happen to be two Thunder Chaos, but Nived decides to try and run past them. As he does, they both fire Thunderbolts his way. Nived manages to dodge them, but thw two liquid creatures start to follow. As they lash out their plasma tentacles at him, Nived reches the next laser grid.

"Maybe I can give them the slip here!"

As some of the vertical lasers vanish, Nived performs a slide under some of the horizontal ones. Sadly, to his discomfort, there are two Laser Discs up ahead. Both UFO-like robots start firing blue laser beams at him.

"More of these things! Let's just hope my luck doesn't get any worse!"

Upon reaching the third laser grid one of the vertical lasers and one of the horizontal lasers drop. Upon reaching the fence, Nived jumps through the hole and reaches an octagonal door, but a Heavy Walker is also stationed there.

"Ahh, not another one of these! Salamence, Metagross, come back out! We got more work to do!"

Both Pokémon come out of their Pokéballs, Salamence still a little weak from its wing getting hit.

"Salamence, I know it's hard, but use Flamethrower to get rid of that thing before it attacks!"

Salamence fires a Flamethrower right at the Heavy Walker as it activates. The attack hits it hard, doing some considerable damage to the robot tank, but seeing as it has very high endurance, it's still far from finished and retaliates with laser cannons.

"Salamence watch out!"

Salamence manages to dodge the lasers, which end up going towards one of the Laser discs, hitting it in the center and destroying it.

"These tanks have lasers, too?! I wonder what else they got!"

At this point, the two Thunder Chaos are also closing in. Nived notices this and decides to take action.

"Metagross, use Psychic to stop them!"

Metagorss once again glows a blue color and blue swirls envelop both Chaos, damaging them some, but they're still not finished.

"Now I think it's time for Shadow Ball!"

Metagross charges up, then fires a Shadow Ball at the first Thunder Chaos, hitting it and doing some more damage. At this point, both of them split up into cells and start coming forward, hoping to form a net around the Steel/Psychic Pokémon.

"Salamence, use Flamethrower to cut some of those down!"

After landing on the ground, Salamence fires a Flamethrower at the cells, ripping through several of them. However, the rest are still going for Metagross.

"Metagross, use Psychic again!"

Metagross once again uses Psychic, and once again blue swirls envelop the remaining cells, holding them in place.

"Now Salamence, another Flamethrower!"

Salamence fires another Flamethrower at the Thunder Chaos cells, destroying the remainder of them. At this point, Nived can see the remaining Laser Disc, but a sudden Meteor Mash from Metagross destroys it.

"Good going, Metagross! Now all we have left is this bigh piece of metal!"

Now it's time to continue facing the Heavy Walker, which proceeds to fire its huge chainguns. With this in mind, Nived gives out another command.

"Metagross, use Psychic to stop those bullets! Salamence, use Flamethrower to hold it in place!"

Metagross glows a blue color once again, and as the huge barrage of bullets comes forward, the are held in place and quickly form into a large sphere of bullets. While this is happening, Salamence fires a Flamethrower at the Heavy Walker, doing some more damage to it. Metagross then sends the bullet sphere towards, it doing some more major damage.

"That's the way I like it! We're almost there!"

However, the tank robot is now switching over to cluster bombs. Nived knows he better act fast.

"Metagross, Meteor Mash! Salamence, Flamethrower!"

Metagross slames the Heavy Walker with a Meteor Mash and Salamence fires one last Flamethrower at it. Before the robot has a chance to attack, it explodes, and the door behind ot opens.

"Well, that went a little smoothly, but we have no time to waste!"

Nived and his Pokémon head through the door and into another short circuted hall.

T-Minus 18:10:00

When Kelsey fell into the electricity-filled lake, she jumped in so quickly that the group of people nearby managed to avoid seeing her at all. Or perhaps this was because right when Kelsey fell in, a laser beam shot at her from above, spewing steam from the spot where it touched the water. Most of this beam's energy was lost from hitting the water, but it still did hit its target. Also, a second or two after it fired, the electric sparks were set off in the water. These sparks were set of by a bunch of nanobots that floated around in the water like plankton. Kelsey didn't make much noise from these two impacts--the laser beam shoved her to the bottom of the lake and stunned ehr for a moment, so by the time the sparks hit her, she had no time to scream or do much of anything. To Kelsey, it would have felt like being punched in the back then just blacking out.

The sparks did do another thing: they detached Kelsey's backpack from her arms, so that it floated to the surface. Also, the shock unlocked the Pokeballs inside it, and even opened three of them when the backpack surfaced. Banette, Clefable, and Hypno came out, while the other three Pokeballs just stayed inside the backpack. (One of those--Gardevoir's--was empty anyways.)

"Ban..."
Banette hovered above the water, looking at the electrified water blankly.

"Clefay...!!"
Clefable flew out of the Pokeball and started to land, but fortunately she looked beforehand. Upon seeing the sparks in the water, she quickly flew back up.

"HYPNO!"
Hypno came within an inch of falling into the water before Banette rescued her with a Psychic attack.

<"If I were you, I'd avoid that water..."> Banette mentioned. Hypno got the point when she looked down at the water. When she did, she levitated herself with her own psychic abilities, after Banette released her.

<"Where's Kelsey by the way?"> Hypno asked, sitting crosslegged over the water and glowing red from her psychic powers.

<"Umm..."> Clefable stuttered, <"...what's that?">
Clefable pointed to a spot on the lake where bubbles rose up to the surface, and steam rose up into the air. And, seconds later, Kelsey's hat rose to the surface. When it did, Clefable froze (well, except her wings kept flapping).

<"Well, Hypno, does that answer your question?">

<"HOW CAN YOU ACT CALM AT A TIME LIKE THIS?!?"> Clefable blurted. <"LET'S GET HER OUT OF THERE!!!">

<"You hypocrite,"> Banette commented as she summoned a few black flames around her. This was her signature Will-O-Wisp technique that often gave an audience chills in a contest. Banette directed these flames at the spot where Kelsey was. Upon hitting the water, they caused even more steam to erupt from the surface, and for a ring of sparks to form around the spot where the bubbles and the hat emerged.
<"Your turn."> Banette nodded to Hypno.

<"Ohh..."> Hypno did feel quite a bit nervous upon the sight of Kelsey's hat, but nevertheless she used her Psychic attack on the spark ring Banette made. This caused a faint blue cylinder of energy to form above the ring. All Hypno had to do was move this energy downward, so that a cylindrical hole appeared in the water, leading right down to where Kelsey lay.

<"Okay Clefable, time to pull yourself together and Kelsey out of the lake.">

<"Finally..."> Clefable muttered as she flew into the hole. As she did, she was careful to avoid touching the surrounding water. Finally she grabbed hold of Kelsey and started to fly her out of the hole.

But a short while after Clefable emerged from the hole (which Hypno closed afterward), the electric shocks in the water activated again, sending sparks flying throughout the lake. Kelsey was still wet at the time, but that would not matter if she was out of the lake, right? Wrong. For at the same time, both Kelsey and Clefable were shocked as well.

"FAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE..."

<"Oh, for the love of the devil...">

Banette rolled her eyes at the sight of Clefable screaming in pain (Kelsey still remained immobile). Then she shrugged and flew straight at Clefable, pushing her towards the edge of the lake, where another path headed off into a small forest. Banette was of course shocked as well, but she worked alongside the pain rather than just succumb to it like Clefable did.

<"W-w-wait for me..."> Hypno muttered as she followed Kelsey and the other two Pokemon to the shore. As she did, she took Kelsey's hat and backpack with her, holding them telekinetically because she thought she too might get shocked if she touched them.

But a few moments before Hypno reached the shore, a laser fired at her. The beam narrowly missed Hypno, but instead it hit the water and made it splash out. Part of that splash washed over Hypno, who was hovering not too far above the surface of the water.

"HYYYYPNOOOOOOOOO..."
A couple of seconds later, Hypno was electrocuted by the same electric sparks in the lake. She jerked about under the shock, sending Kelsey's hat and backpack flying to the shore where Banette and Clefable and Kelsey were. After the shock was over, she fell back into the water, right next to the shore. She just lay in the shallow part of the lake, where the water occasionally washed over her... yet Hypno didn't move.

"BANE! BANE! BANE!"
While Banette was still in shock, she fought as hard as she could to stay conscious. Fortunately, that was a bit easier for her because she was technically not even alive. She was quite a bit dizzy though, and although she didn't realise it, she was hobbling along the path that led through the small forest near another side of the lake. She kept leaping along, faster and faster until she finally fell over. By that time, the electric shock ended, and she was lying face-down on the ground.

"Clefable..."
Meanwhile, Clefable was sitting next to Kelsey, careful to stay in a dry spot on the shore. She just sat there, struck with so much panic and grief that she didn't even move or cry. All she could do was watch as Kelsey and her hat and backpack underwent further periodic electric shocks. She didn't even see Hypno because she had her back turned to the lake.

Kelsey was still alive despite all the shocks, but she was far from terms with reality. One thought did keep repeating itself in her mind--or rather, a picture. It was a memory, from the time when Kelsey was still on her Pokemon journey. Her Kirlia had just been mysteriously returned to her out of the clutches of Team Rocket, but that day, Team Rocket came back to try to re-steal Kirlia. However, that time Kelsey did not let her go, and instead held on to her all the way to Team Rocket's secret base. There, both Kelsey and Kirlia were thrown into a Pokemon holding cell. Then, as if it was an attempt to get rid of Kelsey, a little device emerged from the wall of the cell and touched Kelsey, immediately releasing an electric shock very similar to the ones from the lake. They even came in intervals as well. But back then, after three or four shocks, Kelsey managed to let her Gloom out of her Pokeball, who helped her and Kirlia escape. Now there was nobody that could rescue her without being shocked as well...

<"Erm... what are those?"> Toadpike asked, pointing to the cubic robots hovering around the large glowing room the group was in.

"Well, they're certainly not V.E.R.I.C.A.S. duplicates, are they?" Lupin joked. "Actually, those are Gravity Accelerators. They are made with a similar technology to the Gravity Tubes and Gravity Capsules we encountered earlier, yet they behave sort of like Laser Discs. If they fire a gravity blast at us, even if we dodge it, we might very well go flying off to the ceiling. For those things are capable of manipulating gravity. Also they fire plasma blasts and energy fields that can pull objects towards them."

<"You didn't read that out of that thick manual, did you?"> Umbra inquired. <"You mean to tell me you read that whole thing?">

"No, just the part about all the different drones that patrol about Star City. There was no need to bother with all that rubbish about weapons and mechs and customs... which did take up the majority of it. If there's anything that needs to be known about, it is the enemy we're facing."

<"...Good point.">

"Well, according to my calculations, the only thing we really have to worry about are the plasma charges, as our only defense against those is a dinky little weapon. As for the gravity-related things they can do... best thing against a gravity change is another type of electric field. So if three of you can use telekinesis, we should be perfectly fine."
Lupin looked at Umbra, Nocturnelle, and Gardevoir as he said this.

<"Ah, so if we are suddenly flipped upside-down, all we have to do is float the other way and get used to the gravity change?"> Gardevoir clarified.

<"Are you sure these things don't have on and off switches like the Surveillance Drones did?"> Nocturnelle still couldn't get that incident out of her head.

"Then why do they have an ability to pull objects towards them?"

<"I think the most important thing is to find out how to defeat those creepy things..."> Pencett requested.

"Fair point, love. Whether or not we can attack them directly depends on how strong the covering around their cores are. Or... heyyy, I have an idea..."
As he did a couple times before, Lupin turned to Nocturnelle to whisper something to her. Only this time, he let the other Pokemon hear as well.

"...so if it hits the centre, it'll interfere with any gravity manipulation they try to do, and if it hits a turret or a ring, it'll destroy it completely..."

<"Erm... how are we going to make the Accelerators do that? Or do we just throw it at the Accelerator--what if we miss?">

"Unless someone is willing to carry it over to each one of them... I would ask you to do that, Nocturnelle, only you don't have any hands."

<"How about Toadpike? She's a small target, and a rather brave one at that.">

<"But then she'd have to be held up with one of our Psychic attacks, which she's very sensitive to. How about you do it, Pencett?">

<"Why don't YOU do it, Gardevoir? You can just float around by yourself--and you have hands!">

<"But it's much easier if someone else is holding you up, so you're not thrown off easily by the gravity blasts. Also you need to be able to fit on top of one of them. Come on, Pencett, we all have faith in you.">

It took a lot of convincing, but a while later, Pencett was floating in the air under Gardevoir's telekinetic control, holding the undrawn Volbeat's Nightmare in her little paws. She was very nervous--what if she was hit by a plasma blast by one of the Gravity Accelerators? What if Gardevoir was attacked and had to drop her? What if she accidentally pressed the button on the weapon she was holding, and possibly shocked herself?

One of those things almost happened. For as Pencett floated towards one of the Gravity Accelerators, another one fired a Gravity Blast--not at Pencett, but at Gardevoir. Immediately everybody except Gardevoir leapt out of the way.

<"Get out of the way, Gardevoir!"> Umbra exclaimed.

Gardevoir heard Umbra, but she didn't want to divert her focus on Pencett in order to dodge the blast. So instead, she just prepared herself for some sort of change in gravity.

"It looks like the gravity is about to change to the left..."
At the last minute, Lupin noticed that the robot about to fire the blast had left-facing teal arrows inside of it. These indicated the direction the gravity was about to change to. Still, the blast hit Gardevoir just when Lupin finished his sentence. For a split second, Gardevoir was flung to the left from the blast, until she flipped over, landed on the wall, and resumed her telekinetic control of Pencett.

"Hey Nocturnelle, the next time it does that, do you think you can intercept the blast?"

<"You read my mind, Lupin.">
With that, Nocturnelle started to watch the Gravity Accelerators for any signs of Gravity Blasts.

Pencett, meanwhile, was trembling under that close call she just escaped. She could have very easily landed head-first on the floor when Gardevoir lost control of her. But the good thing was that she didn't let go of the little rectangular metallic object she was holding, being very careful not to touch the tiny button on the side.Anyways, a few seconds later, Pencett approached one of the cubic Gravity Accelerators, its yellowish glow sending chills through Pencett's little body. In fact, Pencett would have run at this point had she been able to. But instead, Gardevoir let go of Pencett when she was on top of the Gravity Accelerator, causing the little Meowth to hold on very tightly until she could keep her balance.

At this point, the Gravity Accelerator noticed that something was on top of it, so it flipped around to try and shake it off. However, Gardevoir would not let that happen--she actually held it still using her Psychic attack.

"Ah, good idea."

When Gardevoir attacked the Gravity Accelerator, another one fired a Gravity Blast at her, figuring she was occupied with the one she was attacking. This would have worked had Nocturnelle not followed Lupin's instructions, which meant she flew out in front of Gardevoir to intercept the attack. As a result, she flipped upside-down.

<"Whoa... this feels weird... The floor's above me, but I feel like I'm rightside-up...">

Okay... I'm supposed to press this button in order to... ohh, I'm scared... what if I electrocute myself?

She did it slowly and shakily, but Pencett did eventually press the button on the little metallic object she was holding. Even though she knew what would happen, she jumped at the sight of a stiff wire jutting out from one end, and an electric field forming around it.

Gee... would I be a lot more scared if I was a Volbeat? Because this is a nightmare already...

But Pencett did do what she was told to do--just to get it overwith. So she pointed Volbeat's Nightmare at one of the turrets surrounding the Gravity Accelerator, and eventually touched it...

ZAP! All of a sudden, sparks flew all around the Gravity Accelerator. Every part of it was ful of electric sparks--the turrets were vibrating and buzzing, the rings were glowing with sparks, and the interior was wobbling inside its glass case. In fact, pretty soon the whole robot was wobbling, as its central control unit was being fried by the second. Pencett held on to the glass core (perfect--that protected her from electric shock) as hard as she could, so as to not touch any turrets or rings.

"Hey Pencett!" Lupin shouted. "You can turn it off now!"

For at that point, the Gravity Accelerator was immobile, floating only on the electric current. So that meant that Pencett could move again. ...But Pencett wouldn't move--she was afraid to. She figured that if she moved the slightest bit, she might not survive the shock.

...This is why I usually prefer to do things myself...

<"Heyyy... heelllppp... I can'tttt... keeeeeppp... being hit byyyyy... these blaaaaasts... foreeevvvvverrrr...">

<"Yeah, and my Light Screen's not doing too well...">

Nocturnelle and Umbra were worn out by all the Gravity Blasts and plasma charges they had to block. The other two Gravity Accelerators kept firing both of those at the rest of the group.

"Hold on just a moment--as soon as I take care of Pencett..." Lupin replied while he was running over to the Gravity Accelerator Pencett was on--at that point it had floated down till it was closer to the floor. It had been gradually sinking ever since it was shocked.

Lupin knew exactly where the button on Volbeat's Nightmare was, and could even faintly see it. He also saw Pencett still clinging onto the cubic centre, not even daring to move. At this he just shook his head in disappointment, quickly focusing back on how to reach the button. For there were still electric sparks floating around the turrets and along the rings. Turning all of this off had to be done quickly and accurately so as no not be shocked, so Lupin spent a bit of time reaching around, searching for a spark-free place.

Finally, a few seconds later, the Gravity Accerator sunk even lower, so that Lupin was able to bend over it. Then, in the quickest instant, he reached for the button on Volbeat's Nightmare, preparing for a highly likely shock to follow...

It didn't--by the time any sparks would have reached Lupin's arm, they all disappeared, and the Gravity Accelerator fell to the ground with a clunk--which sounded hilariously similar to the clunk the Surveillance Drones from a few hours ago made when they hit the bottom of the tunnel.

<"All right!"> Feralis cheered. <"One down and two to... one to go.">

For Lupin didn't stop at that point to look at Pencett or Feralis--he redrew Volbeat's Nightmare and threw it at the second Gravity Accelerator. No time was wasted as the wire blade stuck to a turret, electrocuting the robot just like the first one.

"If any of you want to pull the second one toward the third," Lupin said in a rather harsh tone, not diverting his attention from the Gravity Accelerator he just threw the book--er, blade--at.

<"Umm... what? Er... yes, um...">

Nocturnelle was a little surprised at what Lupin had just done, but she thought she had a bit of an idea of what he was just talking about as well. So she went behind the second Gravity Accelerator--the one that was now shocked--and fired a Shadow Ball at it.

But also at that time, a peculiar-looking energy field formed around the third Gravity Accelerator. It looked sort of like an energy sphere that was expanding outward. The Pokemon were a little confused as to what it was doing (Umbra couldn't read the minds of machines--do they even have any?), but Lupin knew what this meant.

"Come on, stay away from that orb!" Lupin warned. He began to back away from the accelerator's energy field himself.

"Garr!"
Gardevoir jumped out of the way, though that was due more to instinct than Lupin's instruction. Ever since being in the hands of Team Rocket, she was extremely careful and distrusting around any type of robot or sinister-looking machine.

"Fii..."
The orb didn't look like it would be able to cause much damage... what on Earth--er, Star City--was Lupin talking about? So Umbra took the time to try reading Lupin's mind in order to figure that out, as he often did.

"Vile? Vile? Plume? Vile... plume?"
Toadpike was looking at Umbra, hoping to find out what the Espeon found out from the mind-reading.

"Miss..."
Nocturnelle decided to heed Lupin's warning, and backed away from the Gravity Accelerator she just fired a Shadow Ball at.

"Grrrr... WOOOO!"
Feralis started howling to gain attack power, then started charging at the third Gravity Accelerator, whilst wisps of dark energy formed around him. As he did so, he rose into the air from the force of the energy field--which was meant to pull everything in its path towards the Gravity Accelerator.

A second or two later, the energy field hit Toadpike and Umbra, causing the two of them to rise into the air and float towards the accelerator, like a couple of rocks being sucked into a black hole. Oh, not bad, Toadpike thought--all they would do is bump into the Gravity Accelerator. A bonk on the head isn't that bad compared to...

CRASH. Actually, it was worse than Toadpike expected. For at that point, the second Gravity Accelerator (the one that was still shocked) collided with the third, causing the electric current around it to move into the other accelerator as well. A split second later, Feralis, Umbra, and Toadpike bumped into the accelerator that formed the electric field, and as a result were shocked just like the accelerator was.

<"Oh no!">
Gardevoir then used her Psychic attack to pull Volbeat's Nightmare out of the electric mess floating in the air. The weapon landed on the floor, whereupon Lupin ran over to turn it off. Then he started straightening the now unelectrified wire part of it, as it was bent from hitting an accelerator turret. Finally, he looked around to see three Gravity Accelerators lying on the ground, motionless; an Espeon, Mightyena, and Vileplume lying amongst them, also motionless; a trembling Meowth walking away from one of the accelerators; a Gardevoir leaning against the wall, breathing heavily out of relief; and a Misdreavus, floating in the air above him.

<"Is-s-s... ittt... over?"> Pencett muttered as she wobbled over to Lupin.

"Yes, it's over," Lupin answered flatly, without looking at Pencett--or any of the Pokemon.

T-Minus 18:00:00

On the next electric shock from the nanobots in the water, another one of Kelsey's Pokeballs opened. This time, Bellossom came out.

"Bella. ...Bella?!?"

Bellossom looked around to see three startling--and even horrific--sights. Kelsey lying unconscious on the ground with Clefable weeping next to her. Banette lying face-down on the path in the distance, occasionally jolting about from electric shock. And Hypno lying face-up in the water, also unconscious.

"Bellaaaaa..."
Bellossom started to panic for a moment, but she was at the rather mature stage where she would act rather than worry at such a point. And act she did, for the first thing she did was return Banette and Hypno to their Pokeballs. (Kelsey had shown her Pokemon how to do that a few times in the past, just in case something like this happened.) However, there was no way to put Kelsey in a Pokeball... So instead, Bellossom decided to ask someone for advice, or release someone from their Pokeball...

"Nine!"

<"Umm... Ninetales? gee, isn't this creepy? What happened here? What should we do?">
Bellossom often asked Ninetales for advice in the past--even when they were still Oddish and Vulpix--she often looked up to her as sort of a mentor. To her, Ninetales seemed to have a lot of wisdom and could always find the right things to say in a bad situation, or at least be the bravest in a tight spot. A perfect proof of this in the present situation was that Ninetales didn't panic at the sight of Kelsey like Bellossom and Clefable did--not even when she was shocked again.

<"How did this happen?"> Ninetales asked, still sounding calm.

<"I... I dunno... maybe it'sss... something in the water??"> Clefable replied.

<"Hmmm... it could be...">

Out of speculation, Ninetales blew a wave of heat at Kelsey, just hot enough to overheat the nanobots so that they wouldn't work anymore. As she did, the water on her began to evaporate. Finally, when no more steam rose from Kelsey's body, Ninetales stopped the heat wave and pawed at Kelsey. She pawed at her again. And again. Kelsey didn't wake up, but she didn't get shocked again either.

<"...Is Kelsey still there?">

<"Hmm, she doesn't seem to be waking up. I hope she's not...">

<"Hold on, I have an idea!"> Bellossom exclaimed, cutting Ninetales off.

<"Wha... an idea? What idea?">
Clefable was slowly becoming aware that Kelsey was dry and no longer being shocked.

Bellossom smirked and moved over to Kelsey, until she was sitting next to her head. Then she released a few puffs of yellow powdery stuff from her petals, collecting them in her hands for a while. Then she brought her hands close to Kelsey's nose...

...CHOO!

Kelsey sat bolt upright, rubbing her nose a bit.

"What kind of pollen was that... seemed like Bel..."
Kelsey paused for a moment to look at Ninetales, Bellossom, and Clefable, all gathered around her, and to realise that she was on another side of the lake.
"Now that's strange... one moment I was diving into the lake... the next, I'm sitting here on the other side of the lake. Did I teleport or something? ...Did my psychic abilities return at last?!?"

<"Ha ha, that would be such a miracle indeed!">

<"But you didn't teleport... actually, what happened was...">

Clefable then proceeded to tell Kelsey and the other two Pokemon exactly what happened while Kelsey was unconscious.

<"...so you woke up, and Hypno and Banette were... wait a minute, where are they, anyway?">

<"I put them back in their Pokeballs,"> Bellossom answered. <"Come to think of it, Ninetales, do you think you can do the same thing to them as you did to Kelsey?">

A while later, Ninetales blew more heat waves at Banette and Hypno, causing the water on them to evaporate, the nanobots to burn out, and the shocks to disappear. Soon after, Banette woke up, but Hypno didn't, not even after the Aromatherapy-pollen combination Bellossom used on Kelsey...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OOC: I think I'll leave you to wonder what will happen to Hypno, though I will reveal that in my next post. And, I'm not sure whether Ninetales can actually learn Heat Wave or not, but I think any fire Pokemon can fire a wave like that, even if it's not an attack...
Back inside the Electrochemical Reactor, Topax, Jay, and V.E.R.I.C.A.S. head towards the floating platform at the end of the middle energy path behind a glowing energy railing. Topaz and Jay jump onto the platform.
"If you prefer, I can once again give the shortest course for this platform." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.
V.E.R.I.C.A.S.'s front goes to the 3-D virtual map of the entire reactor, highlighting the area of the reactor that they're currently in. A glowing red line appears showing the best route upward.
"Would you like me to pre-designate the platform on that course?" -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.
"Yes. Pre-designate platform on safest course."
"Confirmed. Now pre-designating platform course." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.
The front of V.E.R.I.C.A.S. goes back to her "face" and the video screen on the platform with the arrows changes to the virtual map showing the course V.E.R.I.C.A.S. has suggested. The platform starts moving up from there and V.E.R.I.C.A.S. follows. As Topaz and Jay head further up the open areas of the energy reactor Reactor, Topaz makes a little more conversation with V.E.R.I.C.A.S.
"I know you're some sort of A.I., but tell em a little about yourself."
"Well, Topaz Amethyst, that I can do. I was Professor Arkane Hartache's first invention. I was designed to be the most advanced artificial intelligence entity ever concieved. Not only was I created to help manage the protection of Star City, I also designed several of the city's defense and safety systems. For example, I have decreased traffic fatalities in Star City by 40% than what they are in Goldenrod City." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.
"Whoa! You really are something!" -Jay
"Yes, but so is my creator, Professor Arkane Hartache. He alone created this city in space. Everything in Star City is hermetically sealed to prevent damage and interference from such things as electromagnetic storms and any forms of cosmic energy. I myself cannot be shut down by such electromagnetic interference." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.
"Cool. What else can you tell us about yourself?"
"My positronic system allows me to store and search for all data that is in Star City. I have access to the city's main databases and information on every area and person within Star City. I can manipulate and control anything in Star City. However, I'm not too sure if I can do so to any form of technology that's not from Star City." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.
"Well, thanks for the information, V.E.R.I.C.A.S."
"You're welcome, Topaz Amethyst. It appears we'll be reaching the end of this platform's course soon." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.
The platform eventually comes to an energy path to the right of them that slopes upward a little and wraps around the area around another electromagnetic crane system. There are fireballs everywhere along the path.
"More of these?!" -Jay
"Well, I think I know how we can get past all these!"
"Well, which action would you like to take then?" -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.
V.E.R.I.C.A.S.'s front side changes to a screen with several options to choose from. She reads the options as they are displayed.
"DISSIPATE ENERGY FIREBALLS IN THE AREA?
TRANSFER ENERGY FIREBALLS TO ANOTHER AREA?
TAKE NO ACTION?"
"Dissipate energy fireballs in the area."
"Command confirmed. Dissipating energy fireballs." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.
All the fireballs along the energy path evaporate and explode into nothing. The screen goes back to V.E.R.I.C.A.S.'s "face".
"Thanks for the assistance!" -Jay
"You're welcome, Jay Christian Valentine." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.
Topaz and Jay jump off the platform and start running down the energy path. As they make their way around the electromagnetic crane system, suddenly, two Ice Chaos fire Ice Beams straight at Topaz and Jay. The attacks almost hit them, but V.E.R.I.C.A.S. generates another wide digital barrier to block the attacks, which cause the shield to ripple.
"Aren't we glad we found you!"
"Professor Arkane Hartache also gave me the ability to defend myself and others." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.
"Well, my Pokémon need a little more rest, so I';ll just waste these two with my laser rifle!"
Topaz pulls out said laser rifle and begins to fire onto the first Ice Chaos, hitting it in the head, but it decides to thrust out its tentacles at Topaz, almost hitting her with a frigid tendrill.
"Don't you do that! V.E.R.I.C.A.S., keep the barrier up!"
However, the wall V.E.R.I.C.A.S. created vanishes.
"I'm sorry, Topaz Amethyst, but it needs time to regerate." -V.E.R.I.C.A.S.
"Great, now you tell me!"
Topaz continues to fire her laser rifle at the the first Ice Chaos, but it generates an ice shield around it, blocking the laser shots.
More to come into this post later.
OOC: I'm really sorry for not posting but I missed Ninetales's post somehow and didn't know what else to type. Still don't, really. ^^;
~Pine's Island~
Kitty watched, horrified as one of her companions hit the water with a splash and vanished. The had only caught a faint glimpse of it, and a laser beam hit the spot a moment later blocking any shadow from view. If she did not know that they were now missing a member, she might have thought it had just been her imagination.
The boat shot onwards and another laser beam caused her to duck, dragging her attention away from Kelsey. The poor girl was likely already dead. There was nothing they could do.
Another blast of electricity coursed through the water around them followed quickly by an explosion caused by one of the lasers. "We're never going to make it..." she said softly, looking around at the others. "Maybe if I..." Her hand moved hesitantly towards one of the red and white spheres clipped to her belt.
What am I doing? Sending any of them out would be as bad as killing them with my own hands. But...I have to do something. Some hurt...some not...Kelsey...
Her hand twitched, then she took Pidgeot's Pokeball from her waist and tossed it into the air. Before the bird had finished materializing her trainer turned her head away and closed her eyes. She didn't want to see her Pokemon hurt.
"Pidgyo," the large bird chirped, soaring out of the way of a dangerous blast from one of the machines.
The noise forced Kitty's eyes open again. "Pidgeot, Hyper Beam! I don't care what you use it on just try to destroy one of them!" She swept an arm out to indicate the boats, the lasers, and the water. "Just don't let the water touch you!"
Pidgeot let out a loud chirp and soared high, high into the air. He pulled back his head and breathed in deeply as an orb of golden light began to shine in his beak. Then, with a loud warble and a jerk of the head, he released the blinding blast of light towards one of the oncoming boats.
Terribly sorry for the long wait, but there was other stuff I was trying to get done. Anyway, to continue this RP< I have more for Tsubasa.
T-Minus 17:00:00
Back in one of the outer space areas of Star City, Tsubasa has just gotten onto another rotating rectangular pathway. However, she has just noticed more quad laser cannons around the area.
"I guess I was wrong about here!"
Tsubasa decides that she needs to reach the other side of the path in time before the lasers fire on her. As she starts to make her way forward on her hoverboard, we look from the first laser cannon's point of view of the blue-colored 3-D video screen of the cannon, which is Tsubasa and a green target on her. The targets flashes, and a large laser blast is fired, but Tsubasa gets out of the way just as the laser is fired, creating a large green explosion.
"Those things must be relentless! I better not slow down!"
More of the laser cannons lock onto Tsubasa as she turns onto the left side of the path to dodge a laser wall along the top part. Several aqua blue targets appear on her and that means the lasers will open fire. Several laser blasts go straight for Tsubasa and almost hit right where she is, but the explosion is powerful enough to blow her right off the pathway and she starts falling downward. However, a passing Gravity Accelerator far below notices her and shifts the gravity backwards.
"Whoa! I thought I was done for!"
Tsubasa falls backwards until she lands on a large, sideways solar panel array. The array goes far to the right and is really long. There are a few small solar stations connected to the back of the solar panels, with large windows on them with glowing ultra-violet colored lightning behind them. There are also several laser fields along the solar array.
"Well, that robot caught us a break! Better get going!"
Tsubasa makes her way across the solar panels, swerveing by and jumping the lasers along the way. After the lasers are three more Gravity Accelerators, each of which can send her falling to her death. After getting past the first two, the third fires a gravity blast at her that causes her to fall upward from the gravity setting she's at.
"Not again!"
As Tsubasa falls, she notices another X-shaped solar panel spinning around to the right. She lands right in the middle of it and can see the main path to her right. On the end of one of the wings is a switch with sloping sides consisting of video screens showing red minus signs, like the one she saw earlier. She decides to head towards it, but suddenly, two Ice Chaos intervene and fire Ice Beams at her.
"Great! More of these?! Waka, come on out and use Rock Slide to stop them!"
Waka comes out of his Pokéball and is ready to fight. It immediately slams down on the solar panel, causing pieces of it to shoot upward and hit both Chaos, doing even more damage to them by exploding. At this point, they decide to split up into cells and start giving off ice flashes.
"Waka, keep using Rock Slide! It's the only way to stop these things!"
Waks slams down again, causing more solar blocks to burst upward and strike several of the cells, destroying them. However, they now decide to converge on Waka in an attempt to freeze him.
"Kappa, come on out and use Mach Punch up close!"
Kappa comes out of her Pokéball and rushes the grouping cluster of Ice Chaos cells, slamming and destroying several of them. At this point, the cells decideto regroup into a single Chaos, who retaliates with ice laser cannons. Kappa manages to dodge them and Waka sends out another Rock Slide on his own against the Chaos, damaging it some more.
"Kappa, one more Mach Punch!"
Kappa rushes the Ice Chaos once more, slamming it hard and destroying it. With the robot out of the way, Tsubasa can now go to the switch and activate it. She jumps onto it and the red minus signs change to green equal signs. By doing so, another solar panel array comes spinning from far ahead and stops at the top of where the X solar panels paths meet it.
"Well, that's a relief. Better get going!"
Tsubasa heads down one of the paths and waits for it to reach the new path. From there, she heads down it, but laser barriers rise up on it, making it harder to get across. As she gets past the lasers, she sees yet another switch at the end of the path. She jumps onto it and thus causes another solar path to come from out in space to the left towards where she is.
"Exactly what is the meaning of all these solar panels? They make no sense."
Also having come along the solar panels path is a Gravity Accelerator, who immediately alters the gravity to normal, thus allowing Tsubasa and her Pokémon to fall down onto the new path.
"Well, at least we're back to normal."
Tsubasa heads down this path, only to find another switch at the end of it. She presses this one and another solar path comes spinning from ahead and stops to the left of her. The path here slopes downward, allowing Taubasa to get back onto the main path. There are more lasers along the path, however.
"Come on, guys! This is our ticket back down!"
Tsubasa makes her way down the path past the lasers until she sees another speedway after the rectangular pathway below. She simply jumps down from here and notices another large speed ring along the path.
"Well guys, return for now! I'm going to be making some really serious speed here."
Taubasa goes towards the speed ring and goes right through it, gaining a burst of speed that sends her flying forward into another speed ring at a 45-degree right turn. This one sends her flying down the path and past three Fire Chaos along the way.
"Good thing we got past them!"
Suddenly, the path ends and Tsubasa is on a solar panel array start starts moving down and turns to the right, dropping her on another pathway. Down this one, there are two Solar Chaos and a speed ring that Tsubasa passe through before reaching another solar panel path. Along this one are several more quad laser cannons and the path moves upward while turning to the left.
"Whoa! It's like these solar arrays know where we're going!"
The panel array turns 45-degrees to the left while the laser cannons lock-on and fire at Tsubasa. The Artificial Chaos that were in hot pursuit of her reach the solar array as well, only to be blasted by the lasers. The panel array and stops moving up when there's another long path.
"Well, that sure showed them!"
While still crusing along the path at high speeds, there happen to be more laser grids up ahead. Tsubasa manages to swerve left and right past them and reach another area of large, rectangular platforms moving left and right.
"Uh-oh! Better not turn to quickly here!"
Taubasa manages to make her way across the moving platforms and onto another speedway. Along here, there are three Thunder Chaos that Tsubasa passes, but she's not worried about them.
"We can just pass these things at the speed we're going!"
However, there's a 90-degree left turn up ahead and a glass railing wall to make sure Tsubasa doesn't fall off.
"I guess we're going to lose speed!!"
Tsubasa goes right into the wall, but before doing so, she kicks it up and angles it to the left to at least get in the right direction without losing too much speed. However, at the end of the path is a dead-end and a blue force field to prevent anyone from falling off. There's another switch here, but the three Thunder Chaos have caught up and start firing Thunderbolts.
"Looks like we have trouble! Waka, Kappa, come on out!"
Both Pokémon come out of their Pokéballs and are ready to battle.
"Kappa, use Mach Punch! Waka, follow up with Rock Slide!"
More to come into this post later.
OOC: Here's to the longest-running RPG on PC! (time-wise, that is)
**By the way, I know this RPG started back in October, before Diamond and Pearl came out, but now that it did, is it okay to mention Sinnoh Pokemon at this point? Just wondering...
Lupin's face remained expressionless as he returned Feralis, Toadpike, and Umbra to their Pokeballs. Then he turned to look at Pencett, and his voice sounded the slightest bit stern as he said the only thing he felt like saying to her:
"I suppose there's no use arguing with a frightened little cat at this time. Perhaps you'll feel better once this whole thing is over."
And with that, he returned Pencett to her Pokeball.
Next, Lupin turned to Gardevoir.
"You did your job well, my dear friend. I daresay I was impressed by the way you handled the Gravity Blast. And, not surprisingly, you came out of the whole thing without a scratch."
Gardevoir stared at Lupin with a dazed expression while a drop of sweat slid down the side of her eye.
<"It... it... was a v-v-very close call..."> If I had the option, I would NEVER do something like this again. I'm so glad I'm okay, but...
Finally, Lupin looked up at the floating head with the dazzling ruby necklace to find two big red eyes gazing at him.
<"S-so... um... well... h-how... did I do?"> Nocturnelle was a bit afraid of what Lupin would say, judging by the rather cold gestures or remarks he made to all his other Pokemon. But out of relief and expectancy, Lupin's face brightened a bit.
"All right, fellow creature of the night. All right. You know how I often say that it is better to look death remotely in the face than to back away from it in fear. That saying still goes now--more than ever, in fact. I am sorry to say that it is a hard saying to comprehend, much less act upon--the four little creatures that have just re-entered the world of red laser beams have exemplified that difficulty. Fortunately, the two of us, standing--or floating--side by side, consists of one that has already experienced death herself--"
Nocturnelle smiled in a "that's so true" sort of fashion.
"--and one whose sole existence all this time has depended on his obedience of that saying, combined with an uncanny ability... to..."
Gardevoir, who had obviously heard the conversation, applauded.
<"Nice job, Aristotle. But... ability to what?">
"...Never mind," Lupin quickly concluded.
Nocturnelle rolled her eyes when Lupin said this, as if to say, "There he goes again..." But of course, Gardevoir couldn't comprehend what "there he goes again" meant--the group's only mind-reader was in that innocent red-laser-beam-land--so she had to breifly explain the situation to her.
<"Ha ha, I think I know what he's getting at. The mind can be a very dangerous thing. But, in his case, it feeds me well while he sleeps.">
Nocturnelle paused to glance at an expected look of confusion on Gardevoir's face. During that pause, Lupin spoke again.
"We had best be going now--I still doubt we're anywhere near the control centre yet."
Nocturnelle followed Lupin out of the room, past the fried Gravity Accelerators lying on the floor. While doing so, she made one past remark to the poor confused psychic:
<"Aaaanyways, for now let me just say that the mind is like an iceberg, with only its tiny tip visible and most of its mass underwater.">
While following the other two out of the room, Gardevoir applauded to Nocturnelle--though not as enthusiastically as before.
<"Hehheh... nice job, Freud...">
<"Keep 'id' to yourself, would you?"> Nocturnelle half-snapped, half-joked.
As Lupin always does.
T-Minus 17:45:00
It had been about seven minutes since Kelsey and the other Pokemon had witnessed Bellossom's secret wake-up remedy fail, and had started staring at the unconscious Hypno lying on the ground next to them. Although it didn't actually happen, the temperature around them seemed to drop as each second passed by, till it reached an uncomfortable chilling point. Out of this discomfort and anxiety, Kelsey held her breath, bit her lip, and laid her hand on Hypno's furry chest. But it felt as if she had touched a furry reptile, because Hypno didn't feel nearly as warm as she did when they were stuck in a blizzard together. By the time Kelsey realized the haunting truth to this coldness, the coldness itself froze her in place, until Kelsey's face started to turn blue.
Immediately, Ninetales pushed Kelsey off of Hypno.
<"Ohh, for goodness' sake, just because SHE can't breathe doesn't mean you shouldn't!">
By this time, Kelsey was breathing in weak gasps, but still said nothing, and focused her gaze on the sky.
Ninetales remembered countless times in the past when she or one of the other Pokemon was in some sort of pain or danger. Every time she could remember, Kelsey would immediately start to empathise with the Pokemon, or even start to imitate some of its symptoms. Certainly she remembered the time when she herself got a broken leg from the direct impact of a Rhydon's Take Down, and Kelsey limped back to the Pokemon Centre while carrying the poor little Vulpix in her arms.
While Ninetales was lost in thought, Kelsey finally started to speak, though she still seemed to be talking to the clouds.
"...Lupin once said to me that 'it is better to look death remotely in the face than to back away from it in fear'... I have heeded that saying long before I first heard it from him. Yesss, I look that mysterious entity in the face all the time--I gaze at it for hours at a time, and when the opportunity to enter its depths draws near, I keep that gaze and say, 'Fine--if you are ready to accept me, I will let you take me.' But now... I can look at it and say, '...But why? I'll let you take me, but never my Hypno--never one of my closest friends! Or at least not in this way!' Ohh..."
<"You are the reverse of a hypocrite,"> Banette commented, sounding rather indifferent to the current situation. <"You will allow bad things to happen to you, but if it happens to one of us, you start acting up. Pssshhh... sounds rather pathetic to me.">
<"She lets you use Curse..."> Ninetaled muttered.
<"That's not a bad thing, that's GOOD! Kelsey has never moped over me, mind you, because I take pain and slap it in the face!">
Kelsey sat up again when something else occurred to her.
"What will Dad say about this? He gave me that egg--if this happened, he might think I haven't been protecting her enough..."
<"If you ask me, you've been protecting her too much..."> Bellossom noted, tears still on her face.
<"I'm sure he'll understand,"> Ninetales reassured, <"and besides, you did all you could.">
* * *
About a half hour later, Kelsey and her remaining four Pokemon sat in a circle around what looked like a pile of large leaves and some of Bellossom's petals. Clefable was still weeping, and Ninetales' paws were covered with dirt. Kelsey held Hypno's Pokeball in her hands, ready to say a few final words in this little ceremony.
"As we leave this sacred space, I thank the heavens for not having any robots or other perils interfere with this ceremony--it is instead as if they are smiling at us for the sake of loyalty and friendship. I shall ask them once again to protect this space from further harm, while Hypno's spirit is cleared."
Kelsey removed one of the leaves lying on the top of the pile, revealing a patch of yellow fur. Then she gestured to Banette, who nodded and rubbed her hands together. Banette then leapt on top of the leaf-and-petal pile, and held her hands out over the top. Although it could be seen very faintly or not at all, an orb of energy formed in Banette's hands. Banette, who could see this orb the most clearly, looked at it for a long while, seeming as if she was trying to resist a temptation, and then tossed it gently into the air. Kelsey and the other Pokemon bowed, and then Banette replaced the leaf on top of the pile. After this, everybody clapped their hands together and stood up.
"Done!" Kelsey concluded. "Now, shall we continue on? No, I am not suppressing my feelings of grief about this--and believe me, those griefs are numerous--it is better to justify such feelings, to acknowledge that they're there for a reason--or so I find. With so many conflicts coming from the outside world, who needs them inside one's own mind... Anyways, my justification is that Hypno is moving on, and she's not in any real danger... so therefore I have no reason to worry!"
To much of the Pokemon's surprise, Kelsey smiled. But still they, like Hypno, moved on. Except they did this by dragging a wooden raft--another thing they had been working on for the past half-hour--into the lake. Everyone got inside, careful not to touch the water, and then ventured out towards the building on the other side. As they did, each of the four Pokemon kept watch on all four corners of the raft, in case any robots or lasers or whatever attacked them. Kelsey sat in the middle and stayed alert as well.
<"You've protected us for so long, and now it's our turn to protect you.">
<"The first thing we'll do when we get to that building is find the source of these shocks.">
<"This can get 'fairy' dangerous, but I'm ready.">
Clefable snorted at this little joke, but nobody else paid any attention.
<"So Hypno's soul is floating over our heads at this very moment, pondering about which type of life to enter next...">
Whereas I'm stuck in this stupid plush toy. Heh, and I was so tempted to claim Hypno's soul as my own... Mmm, yummy.
T-Minus 16:45:00
The doorway at the far side of the room opened into a vast hallway, where scattered bits of rubble lay all over the floor in the darkness. There was a walkway that led along the edge of the hallway, then turned left and ended. Along the end of the hall were three doors, and the walkway itself was easily visible thanks to railings covered in little lights. It was this walkway that Lupin now walked along, Nocturnelle beside him, and Gardevoir behind him. Nocturnelle kept looking around to see if any more Gravity Accelerators or Chaoses or Laser Discs or whatever were lurking in the rubble-littered darkness, but nothing was there--or at least nothing that could be seen or heard or felt.
<"This is suspicious..."> Gardevoir wondered. <"So far, practically every new area we went into had some sort of trap or robot or obstacle or something. This room is strangely empty... Are you sure something's not watching us? Or that we're not tripping any sensors?">
"If there are any motion detectors around, we can be expecting any sort of enemy to come our way at any second. If that's not happening... Well, anyway, I don't see any of those laser sensors either--one would think they'd be common in a place like this."
<"Er... yeah... because those beams are invisible. So... you wouldn't be able to see them anyways.">
At that point, Nocturnelle opened her mouth to comment on what Gardevoir just said, but Lupin did the job for her.
"Actually, in a way, I can."
Nocturnelle didn't expect his comment to be that vague, though... so instead she turned to Gardevoir.
<"It's that lens in his glasses--the one that looks slightly tinted. Hard to notice, but...">
Seems like EVERYTHING about him is hard to notice, Gardevoir thought.
Finally, the three of them came to the three sets of doors at the end of the walkway. What they didn't see from the other end of the hall was a little control box near one of the doors--one that resembled a small laptop. A message on its screen (which had a background that looked strangely similar to the floor of the room with the Gravity Accelerators) showed three buttons on the bottom, labeled "Door A", "Door B", and "Door C". Above it read this message:
"Choose one door to open. After the door is opened, this system will shut down, sealing the other two doors. Click a button below to see more about what each door opens to."
"Ah, so we come to a little fork in the road."
Lupin decided to do things in reverse order this time--and thus clicked on the Door C option first. This popped up a screen with another message on it, and a button labelled "Open" on the bottom. The message read:
"Door C leads through a path containing different pools of concentrated energy. You must press each of the buttons in each of the pools to gain access into the final room. Also at the end is a pool of healing, or 'white', energy."
"Well gee, I can bet Feralis and Toadpike and Umbra would need that," Lupin commented. "But we have to analyse our other options first."
So with that he clicked on an arrow in the top-left corner of the screen, which brought up the previous screen. This time, he clicked on the Door B option. However, unlike the Door C screen, the message for Door B was very short:
"Door B leads to the computer room."
Heh, now it's trying to mock me. If this is karma, so hit me with an option of risk.
This time, Lupin went back to the previous screen and selected the Door A option.
"Door A leads to an outlet of the Drone Factory, which contains many of the synthetic intelligence units created for Star City. Also is the hiding place for an emergency stash of weapons."
Okay, I suppose we won't be taking that door, Lupin decided. If they went through Door A, they would probably be engaged in a battle with possibly every type of Chaos and perhaps a few more of those Laser Discs or Gravity Accelerators or Heavy Walkers. With no Nightcraft to protect them, and with only one Pokemon that was semi-willing to fight at this point, the chances of survival would be very slim. Fortunately there were two other doors to choose from--but which to choose? Lupin had heard about the different types of concentrated energy and thus knew what each colour did, and all except the white were not good signs. Door C would mean that someone would have to experience each of the colours' effects in order to press a button. For a fleeting moment, Lupin had a thought about just dropping a machine part or something into each of the pools, but what if it missed? Or what if the button was on the side instead of the bottom? Worse, any metal part would conduct whatever kind of energy it was. Now, about Door B... The control panel made it very unclear as to what sort of computer(s) were there, and if any obstacles stood between them...
<"Ohh, let's just take Door B,"> Gardevoir suggested. <"Door C would mean that some of us could... you know... cease to exist. And if not, they might certainly be very uncomfortable... I know you might be mad at Umbra and Feralis and Toadpike, but this is no way to punish them. I mean, I know you considered joining Team Rocket in the past, but...">
<"Wanna know a secret?"> Nocturnelle whispered to Gardevoir. <"Actually, he d...">
"It would not be wise at this point to upset Gardevoir any further," Lupin interrupted, still looking at the screen. "Personally, I'd like to keep all the other Pokemon in their Pokeballs for a while, as that last battle we had was a fairly stressful one--for them, in the very least. You can't say I'm kind-hearted, but you can't say I'm heartless either..."
Lupin had a rather hard time saying the last few words.
"Anyways, we've always in the past had to cope with the unexpected, think on our feet... and certainly take several risks. Now, Nocturnelle, I know you want to get this overwith--and, to tell you the truth, so do I. Therefore we should be deciding on a door, and I vote for B."
<"Thank goodness... I already said I pick B, so I say it again.">
<"I was never fond of depending on luck..."> Nocturnelle mentioned, <"I personally thought Door A would have been the best of the worst--we have three good battlers right here as we are, and I'm sure at least Toadpike and Umbra and Feralis can still do another battle, and...">
Nocturnelle's voice trailed off as Gardevoir gave her a disapproving look.
<"...a-a-and I'm outvoted.">
So the three of them ended up picking Door B, the mysterious computer room, as their next direction. Lupin entered the room with his right hand in his pocket and his right eye closed. Nocturnelle looked at the floor as she followed next to Gardevoir. Gardevoir was looking down at Nocturnelle, and patting her on the head.
<"Wanna know a secret?"> Gardevoir whispered to Nocturnelle. <"I think Lupin would have picked Door A as well, had things gone a little differently back in the Gravity Accelerator room. Umbra, Pencett, Toadpike, and Feralis aren't suffering as much now as Lupin's trust in them is. Going into battle again might cause someone to lose concentration and do something reckless. With the tension between them, it might be best to keep then far away from each other for now. I have a feeling he'll talk to them later when we have more time. Now, don't worry, what lies past this doorway should be not...">
Gardevoir was so deeply immersed in what she was saying that she failed to realise that she had entered a long, narrow hallway lined with blue lights. At the end of the hall was what looked like a small room with a computer in it. But even worse, Gardevoir (and Nocturnelle because she was too busy sulking and listening to Gardevoir) also failed to see what Lupin did when he entered the room, and hear what he said afterward. It turned out that upon passing through the doorway, he immediately stopped, then appeared to step over an invisible fence and duck under an invisible low ceiling. As he did so, he said, "Watch your step here--there's an odd laser beam here and here." He then pointed to the places he stepped over and ducked under.
But, as Gardevoir and Nocturnelle didn't pay attention, they walked or floated right past the laser beams Lupin pointed out. To him, they looked like rows of blue light forming a sort of wall at the bottom and top of the hallway, making an opening that he could barely fit through. But to Gardevoir and Nocturnelle, they didn't look to be there at all. As a result, they got caught in the laser beams. When they did, their bodies turned white, then red. For a split second they looked like red holograms, before the two laser beam walls closed in on them like chomping jaws. What resulted from that were two red balls of energy. One of those balls turned into a wisp of energy and wandered over to Lupin's pocket, while the other vanished.
Lupin turned around when he heard cried of surprise from Nocturnelle and Gardevoir, and then noticed the whole red energy scheme.
"What the... I thought I..."
Lupin then looked to the spot the energy wisp floated to, and took out Nocturnelle's Pokeball.
That was a lucky shot. For a moment I thought for sure those lasers did something far worse. It's just a device that returns all Pokemon to their Pokeballs. I don't see the point, since...
With that, Lupin tried to release Nocturnelle from her Pokeball, but the Pokeball seemed to have gone dead.
Okay, so that's a little worse than I just said it was. A similar electrical charge will cure that--perhaps the computer over there will. Heh, I wonder what would have happened if I had touched the laser beams... what Pokeball would I go into? Then again, perhaps I would materialise into data and be teleported into a world of nothingness. Most disturbing--and dare I say worse then death.
Lupin walked on, but paused for a very short while to think of what could have happened to Gardevoir. However, this he quickly brushed off, and even smiled at.
Why, it's a good thing Gardevoir got caught in the laser beams--for now she'll be in a place of less stress and darkness and loads more familiarity...
OOC: See what happens when an RPG sits for nine months? Character details appear and change. In this case, it's that Lupin now wears glasses while Kelsey does not...
I might have given it away already, but I'll reveal what happened to Gardevoir in my next post.
Please do not spam pizzakoe. If you would kindly delete your post, that would be great.
TERRIBLY SORRY FOR WAITING SO LONG TO CONTINUE THIS RP, BUT I'M MAKING UP FOR IT AND AM NOW POSTING AGAIN JUST MINUTES BEFORE THIS RP BECOMES A MONTH OLD! Since today's the 9th and the last post was on the 10th, I think this RP can still be used, Anyway, I'll continue things with Noah and Jae.
T-Minus 19:30:00
Back inside the clubhouse in the Star Gardens Area, Noah and Jae are still enjoying some "fun time". On the other side of the clubhouse, Noah has reached the clubhouse's Limonada Shake Bar. Limonada Shakes are a special brand of citrus fruit shake that is quite popular. Apparently, such shakes are also popular in Star City. As you might expect in Star City, the bar here is fully automated. Noah goes up to the counter and a small but highly advanced AI system sits in the middle. The system has a red "eye" in the center and green glowing panel-like setups on the side. The system also consists of an automated cash register behind it.
"Hello. Welcome to the Limonada Shake Stand. At this particular stand, we provide all that you need without the need for human help. Before we get started, I'll need to verify your idenity." -AI System
Suddenly, the AI system starts emitting a wall of holographic light with a tall, thin grid at the end from the "eye". This grid scanner moves around the area and picks up Noah. Arom the AI system's point of view, we see a video screen of the room and a cursor-like square of smaller digital squares appears on Noah. This info comes up on him in the upper right hand corner while small pictures of spinning images of Sentret, Croconaw, and Scizor appear on the bottom of the screen:
NAME: NOAH KYOMAI
CLASS: POKéMON TRAINER
AGE: 15 HOME: JOHTO
POKéMON 1: SENTRET, SPECIES: SENTRET
POKéMON 2: CROCONAW, SPECIES: CROCONAW
POKéMON 3: SCIZOR, SPECIES: SCIZOR
"Whoa! Now this is something!"
After the holo-scanner disappears, the AI system starts talking again.
"Welcome, Noah Kyomai. What would you like to order?" -AI System
Suddenly, a flat computer screen flips upward from the top of the AI system and then displays all the items on the menu on a digital screen. The items on the menu are as follows:
LEFT ROW (Main Shakes)
Limonada Shake
Tangy Fruit Shake
Tropica Shake
Hard Fruit Shake
