Pok語n Dark Night

    I have been seeing alot of good games created around here, so I wanted to resum me old RMXP project, Pok語n Dark Night. I hope you like it.

    Story:
    (The story is being editted and brainstorming is the current stage of the newest version.)

    In the small town of Rosedew, your father and mother work hard to keep up with the economic crisis occuring in the pokemon world. On your 10th birthday, the local bank was robbed, and your family is broke and have no more hope, except for one family member. With courage in your heart, you head to the lab on to the town of Hucklewood. After gaining a pokemon from the lab partner, you set out to find the theifs who stole of Rosedew's resident's money, while having in mind that the lab partner you met was there becuase the proffesor was kidnapped by the same people.

    I am going to attempt coding a battle system if I don't find anything that will provide one. I will also be using my own sprites and Nintendo's tiles.

More over, how is the entire world affected by it?. On your 10th birthday, the local bank was robbed Cliche, kinda, and your family is broke and have no more hope Cliche, try to change that bit, except for one family member Who? Bill Gates?. With courage in your heart, you head to the lab on to the town of Hucklewood Why a lab? What does your family have to gain by having their 10 year old child visit a lab?. After gaining a pokemon from the lab partner Cliche, you set out to find the theifs who stole of Rosedew's resident's money Meh, it works, while having in mind that the lab partner you met was there becuase the proffesor was kidnapped by the same people. That doesn't make sense. Did the assistant inform on this? And if so, why aren't authorities after the thieves? Why do the thieves want the professor anyway?

    I am going to attempt coding a battle system if I don't find anything that will provide one. You'd have better luck coding one yourself, or using Pokemon Essentials. I will also be using my own sprites and Nintendo's tiles.

    Good. Pokemon Essentials is a RPG Maker XP starter kit made by poccils. It contains a battle, PC, Dex, Menu, and Level-Up/Evolution script so it pretty much has everything you need to start making your own game. However, I don't use it and don't very well understand it, but I digress.
     
    This is different... If only for the fact that you mention thieves (which I hope will not end up as one of the main enemies of this story) instead of a "team". However, there's not that much of a story here, so...

    The town names kind of make me think of "wild west". Come to think of it, this game would probably do quite well if it followed that kind of a theme. There are to many tropical games, so a game with a desert/frontier setting would be refreshing.
