Pok?mon #289... Pikachu?

    What would happen if the Hoenn Generation Pok?mon were the first ones to be shown to the world? I mean, like, the first games were in Hoenn and etc... What would be us right now? What Hoenn Pok?mon would be Pikachu's popularity substitute? Would the First Movie be Deoxys vs Jirachi? o_O
     
    Wow, you sure had time to think about this Casty. XD *glomps* Hmmmmmmmm...in the Hoenn generation, I think Treecko covers Charizard's place, but as for Pikachu...I actually think Treecko would do well in Pikachu's place too. XD I mean, it's a veeeeeeery popular Pokemon in the third generation. ^^

    About the movie thing, I guess that would mean the first movie would have Jirachi and Deoxys in them. XD *ish all confuzzled now* @.@

    Ooooh, very interesting. I'd agree with you on the movie part, but to be honest, I don't think there is a Pokemon as annoying and pathetic as Pikachu... Because of that, I might have actually wanted to watch the anime XD But things would be very weird... it wouldn't be Ash on everything, but Brendan. No Red in the manga, no Team Rocket in the games and TV series (that would be different o_O). It certainly would be a different Pokeworld, Casty ^_^
     
    Yes, I was thinking on the anime just right after... I mean like, instead of Misty it would be Haruka and... Everything would be diferent. Like, take Blaziken's and Groudon's type of agressive Pok?mon. The real first Generation had Charizard and just a few others with that aspect. Maybe if the Heonn was first, less people would think of Pok?mon "childish".... But would we like it the way we like it now?
    Back to the Mang? and Anime, yes, it would be diferent. Team Magma/Aqua in place of Team Rocket, trying to steal Brendan's Treecko each and every episode would be... weird...
     
    Well...Would you have a team member form each team trying to steal it in every episode? Do they rotate or what? XD I like how it was done and all, but with the Magma/Aqua thing, it probably would have made the show more mature to begin with...Then people would be complaining the show got less mature as the years went by.

    For the games...Probably wouldn't have made much of a difference, just as long as a few eye catching Pokemon became the trademarks and not Pikachu, it'd probably have worked out the same.
     
    I would've loved for Treecko to take over Pikachu but it isn't going to happen. I don't know if I would've been into Pok?mon if Hoenn was released first. I don't like the Regis.
     
    If Hoenn came first, then people would call Pikachu a Plusel and Minun clone and they'd probably call most of the Kanto and Johto generation boring.
     
    That scares me. I wouldn't have a lv. 100 Charizard right now! ;-; And I bet everyone in the Anime would have way different teams!
     
    Yes, it would be a very different Pokemon world...but I think that Tem Rocket would STILL come first, THEN Magma/Aqua, since I doubt the writers would want to jump into that complexity right away...

    No that couldn't be... I think Pokemon from first Generation were the best and from 3rd the worst... 4th Generation is better too... Anyway if Pikachu wasn't in Anime Show he wouldn't be so popular... For example if in Pikachu's place was hmm... a Marill, Marill would be as popular as Pika is now!
    A Deoxys vs Jirachi movie would be really cool! But Jirachi's character isn't as mature and experienced as Mew's one! And Deoxys... huh it's totally wild XD Mewtwo isn't :p

    Torchic would take Pika's place IMO, because May/Hakura has one. But Brendan has Treecko...

    Maybe it's because Torchic is a lot cuter than Treecko. XD
     
    Remember that the anime only chose Pikachu as Ash's starter Pokemon because it was Satoshi Tajiri's favourite Pokemon. If I remember correctly, it was one of those 11th hour decisions, as it was originally planned to be Charmander.
     
    I do agree that Treecko would take Pikachu's place. However, Nintendo's really been trying to use Skitty marketing (May's used it in two contests and there's a shirt for it on Pokemoncenter.com), so I would have to say that Skitty would be the female choice, thus it possibly could have created a larger market of Pok?mon and made it more successful back then.

    Meh, to think the Skitty Merchandise thingy was right... But I've already seem Treecko AND Torchic T-Shirts... Caps... And Torchic has it's own GBA SP Edition...
