    Pok?mon anim? style webcomic?

I've been toying with the idea of creating an online Pok?mon webcomic in anim?/manga style for a while now and the only thing that's been holding me back is my drawing skills.

I want to know what people think of the idea, what they think of my drawing skills and if they'd be interested in following the comic adventures. The one thing that I really need to work on is anim? hands and feet, but I'll soon learn, I have a couple How to Draw Anim? books and they're very good.

Examples of my artwork are posted on my deviantart account, https://pikachu3828.deviantart.com . What do you think?

    Characters for the comic
I've been doing loads of random drawings but I think I've come up with two potential characters for the comic. Neither have names, any suggestions? Comments? Complaints? Anything?

So, what do yo mean?. Like as in creating an online comic that people can read. That doesn't seem like a bad idea. Maybe you could join some oekakis and that will let you see some drawers.

I personaly love reading through people's web comics so I think you should go for it ^_^
As for your work, when you said your skillz were holding you back I was expecting much worse. You're actually pretty darn good. I would suggest thinning out the wrist a tad and maybe making the actual hand a little bigger with some detail. Hopefully the book you got will help but studying your own hand and sketching it in differant angles can also be good practice.
    ~But hey, I'm not a very good art ctritic o_O;;

You may want to go visit some other web comic sites and study how they put theirs together. I hope to see your comic soon so good luck! ^__^

Yeah. Check out comics like Pvp-Online and Penny Arcade for examples, not really deep stuff like superhero type comics you can buy, just light and fun.

Thanks for the comments Teara, to be honest, I haven't practiced drawing hands or feet at all, I guess I should go back and work on them :D

Yeah, your not a bad drawer. If you can write but not so good at drawing, people will forgive you for that. ^^

I just thought I'd update this as I've edited the first post. It now contains sketches for two new potential characters for the comic. Neither have names, or are coloured. I'd like feedback on them, suggestions, criticisms etc.

The first one has a sort of blurred effect because the spin bent inwards and it showed unintentionally. The scanner cut the second one off at the sides :p

I'm also interested as to whether anyone would be interested in a Pok?mon webcomic at all?

    1) You need a good storyline (This is basic). It must be attractive. Some things people like to read is suspense, romance (girls usually) and a touching story (that has the ability to make people want to re-read it over and over or cry and think about it even when they are in bed)

    2) Good artwork so that it won't put the reader off.

    3) Time to manage it. People may think that your website is dead if you don't update it often. (I have this problem, but it's almost solved with the help of a good friend.)

    4) Word of mouth for advertising the web-comic.

Some of the tips I've thought up of. Anyway, I've checked your artwork. You have potential; they are better than most people's.
Faces, eyes, expression, hair is good, but like Teara has said, you need to do something about hands. There's one of your pics where the hand looks like toothpaste. (lol =P) Shoes should be bigger, I think.
There's one more thing. Characters are usually drawn in different angles in comics, especially those with action in it, meaning that you should try some side-view drawings of characters to see if you are good enough to draw those. Not only the front of characters.
I've checked out this pic, it looks ok to me: https://www.deviantart.com/view/7612305/
Is background drawing a problem for you? It's important since it gives a setting to a story.
There's one more thing: What kind of comic are you going to draw? The American kind, or the Japanese kind? Your style looks like a fusion to me.

I read a lot of Japanese comics (usually translated), so if you are doing a Japanese styled one I may be able to give lots of advice on it.

your drawing skills are great! They just need to be a little defined and stuff, if ya get what i mean. I love the idea.
