Are we in need of help? We are looking for spriters to create the images for the Pokémon, special trainers (like Gym Leaders, Rivals and the Player), a few overworld sprites and things like that. You can also offer any help you wish and we will kindly think about it <3

Premises

This game takes part about 10 years before the official games' timeline.
The (creepypasta?) war is happening, but it is getting closer to an end.
Me and danothyus (mostly him, 'cuz I only said "I want that", and he goes "OK, I'll make it happen") tried to stay true to the lore, but still managed to slip some additional histories there.

Pokémon: Journey
You are Chris¹, born and raised in Sinnoh and former Pokémon Trainer. You've made your way up to a few Pokémon Gyms and decided you wanted to become a Gym Leader yourself! Pursuing your wish, you contacted the Pokémon League and asked what the requeriments were. They said it would be pretty simple: you must defeat the eight Gym Leaders of the region of Albirs². If you can present to the Albirs Pokémon League Bureau eight badges, they will accept you as a Gym Leader there, as it is their wish to test a new league model, composed of more badges than the usual amount³.

Off you go, then, heading to Albirs in pursuit of your wish to become a Pokémon Gym Leader!

Albirs Region

The region of Albirs is considered the birthplace of Pokémon studies. The regional Pokémon Professor, Prof. Woody Sappam, studies Pokémon evolution there and is taken in high regard and condecoration. His studies are the reasons for a lot of new professors-wannabes to endure the harsh reserach and instruction needed to acquire the title. Among his protegeés, two prodiges are known in other regions: Professors Oak and Elm. But enough talking about Prof. Sappam, let's talk Albirs!

The region itself is composed of three land masses divided by one huge river, the Mazoanas River. East Albirs is the political part of the region; The central part of Albirs⁴ is the natural reserve, having the Pantanal Reserve (the "safari zone") and the Mazoanas Forest make the landscape green; Albirs' westernmost part is a contrasct of sand and ice, with Acra Wastelands up northwest and the Gremados icy fields down southwest.

This natural diversity makes Albirs the land of various Pokémon species. Also, Albirs is highly well-seen by Kalos' pride and joy professor-wannabe, Sycamore, as it have a strange Pokémon type known as the Fairy-Type. Strange evolution methods also are known to only exist in Albirs. And Prof. Sappam is more than happy to help other people to know the region and study its phenomena.

Albirs Pokémon League, known as one of the most strangely composed yet solid working Pokémon League up to date. Its fifth Pokémon Gym is the final frontier, as most of the Pokémon trainers can't challenge the leader, some can't even find him! Only the strongest can reach the second half of the journey...

... just to lose themselves to the eight Pokémon Gym. While the fifth one stands as a mark of strenght and perseverance, the eighth one is the real definition of surpassing's one's limits. This is why Albirs Pokémon League doesn't demands that trainers compete against the Elite Four to be known as fully accomplished Pokémon Trainers.

But there is a Pokémon League in Albirs! And it is considered the most underdog of them all! You, however, came from Sinnoh and, unfortunately, didn't really thought about asking people about the League, so you'll only know them when it comes to you... but will you reach it?

The four Gym Leaders most trainers can face are as follow:

"Captain" Poseidon
River City's Gym Leader, the master of Water-Type Pokémon
And the proud owner of the ferry service that allows anyone to cross the Mazoana River safely!!

Cicero
Minas Town's Gym Leader, the master of Normal-Type Pokémon
And the head of the regional Church of Arceus, praise be to it!

"Mommy" Dinah
Buzios Town's Gym Leader, the mistress of Ghost-Type Pokémon
And also a caring old woman that will make you not go out of the righteous path with her mighty wood spoon!

Caepora
Mazoanas Town's Gym Leader, the mistress of Fairy-Type Pokémon
And the lorekeeper of all of Albirs' secrets!

The region of Albirs have some very interesting Pokémon species with very unique characteristics. As for the starters, Prof. Sappan offer the newcomers a choice betwen three species:

Brawlguroo
The small, leaping and ferocious Fighting-Type starter!

Vaadu
The shy and masked Psychic-Type starter!

Giblon
The tricky little fella Dark-Type starter!

"Oh man, but I heard Kanto have the best starters!!" OK, first of all, have you ever heard of Hoenn? Treeko/Sceptile, Torchic/Blaziken and Mudkip/Swampert are beasts, OK?! (att. fabaaun) Now, into the real thing: ever wondered why Prof. Oak have so many of those starters? Well, let me tell you that the birthplace of those three are the Pantanal Reserve!! That's right!! They come from Albirs, straight to your Pokéball! But we don't promise you'll be able to catch any other regional starters, just those three, OK?

Woody Sappam
Pokémon Professor, studies the evolution of Pokémon.

Mr. Anderson
Pokémon admirer and computer nerd. His son, Bill, first thought about a system to store and move Pokémon around, and Mr. Anderson made it real! He is also lactose intolerant, like his son and his wife.

Captain Poseidon
Gym Leader in River City. Founder of the River Ferry and owner of the magnificent, magestic and magnanimous M. F. Something! Don't ask about the name...

Cicero
Gym Leader of Minas Town. Keeper of the Pantanal Reserve. Founder and head of the Church of Arcerus in Albirs. Loves to tell people about his path to enlightment and how Amalls look like God Arceus, praise be to it.

Glen
Actual Albirs League Champion. Known as the most powerful trainer of the region, unmatched by everyone else! His team composition, however, is a mistery.

Mister President, Vito
Vito is the president of all political matters in Albirs. Everything not related to Pokémon is in his capable hands. He has a close relationship with Giovanni, from the Kanto Region, as they both seem to know each other for a long time.

Cleta
Owner of Cleta's Bike Shop in Porono City! Not much to talk about her, though...

Little Miss Silph
Sole owner of the multiregional Silph Co.. A single daughter with a huge inherited fortune and legacy, and a hopeless romantic beyond any dream! She's so cute!!

Professor Glaucia
Gym Leader of Gremados Town. Fossil researcher and aunt to Kanto's next super trainer, Lorelei.

The Mightyena
The Mightyena is the most (in)famous thief in all Albirs, known for homeric events that drove Albirs' police force insane. He has long stopped with his devious actions, and may have retired from that criminal life of his. Devious, cunning, tricky, handsome... those are all adjectives that have already been adressed to the Mightyena!
