A Mother Graphical Styled Pokémon Game

Story:
The Region of Hutra is a Region that likes to leave itself from the rest of the Pokémon World.
With events like Team Rocket's Radio Takeover, and Team Magma/Aqua's terror attacks in Hoenn, the region closed it borders in fear that evil make strike the region.
But, what is Evil? What can be considered evil? Someone bad for the Region? Fighting for what YOU think is right? No one can say.
Prophecies state that one day the moon shall fall in three places, and give the region a chance to make it a strong region, and safe from the Chaos to come.
Is this prophecy true? Some believe so. Team Umbra, have the objective to cause the Umbra Moon to rise, and "protect" the region again, despite anyone who thinks otherwise.

BOOOM! One evening to boys witness a meteor crash from space. Curious and Eager to find out what it was, they climb the hill in their town, and find two suspicious men, watching the rock
after being caught, one of the boy's mothers, decides to send him away to keep him safe, but little does she know, A Professor has other plans, and the young boy is sent off to travel the region.
With Gyms and Trainers in his future, Team Umbra become a major obstacle as well.
How will his travels go? You're the one who decides.

Characters:

You: It's you. A young boy, the age of 14. Living in Twili Town, with your friend Cal, you have many adventures in this small town, until the night of the Meteor strikes.

Cal: Cal, is your childhood friend, despite being very stuck up, and pushy, you hang around with him.

Felix: A young trainer whom helps you scare off a Team Umbra Newbie. He crosses your path various times through your journey. He seems familiar, but... you can't put your finger on it.

Ourabos: A mysterious man who is collecting what he calls "Lunar Shards". His motives are scary.

Team Umbra: A large group of people. What they are fighting for, no one knows, but they're split into three parts. "Newbies" are new people to the group, mostly consisting of rebel teens. "Grunts" are the proper parts of the group, doing the actual work. "Admins" dictating what the grunts do, they tend to ignore the Newbies.

Finished Taloy City, for now.

A City in the north of the region, home to many of the beloved whom have passed on to the afterlife.
Also, home to the Lunar Well, and the Second Gym.

Your game seems interesting.

Original graphics and an intriguing plot, but I see some little details that, in my opinion you can improve. In the plot, you say " one of the boy's mothers, decides to send him away to keep him safe, but little does she know, A Professor has other plans, and the young boy is sent off to travel the region." So I assume that professors have more power in children lives than their parents? The ones that feed them and saw him growing? Doesn't seem correct to me. Or you mean "a professor has some similar plans"?

Also in the battle system, the icons for "Fight" and "Pokémon" seems unsuitable. When I see those icons, I think about a Sing Contest or a Rap Battle, and when you switch pokemon, you get them healed.

Another question: What happens if I refuse a starter?
