    I was just curious, has anyone ever had Pokerus on one of their Pokemon games? Somehow one of my Pokemon caught it on my Crystal Version....I heard the chances are getting it are even slimmer than catching a shiny Pokemon...

    Also, i've heard from various people that it's a bad thing, and on pokefor.tk it says that it is a GOOD thing...can anyone justify that?
     
    Actually, Pokerus is a good thing. In GSC, it increases the rate you gain stat exp, giving you higher stat Pokemon quicker. It doesn't last for long though, so make the most of it.
     
    is there a certain location where it can be found like there is in R/S?

    also, you pick it up the same way you do in R/S, right? simply by battling a Pokemon with it, not catching one or something?

    Thanks everyone! If it helps, I think I caught it on the same island Suicune appears on..(Don't forget, this is crystal :) ) Maybe if you battle a certain someone around there you can catch it?

    Afterwards I had to go straight to the Pokemon Center because Professor Elm called and told me to go...then Nurse Joy was all "Your Pokemon seem to have life forms growing on them" or something..it was ages ago...

    Wow...I think I better make the most of it!

    *spreads the disease around to every pokemon in every box ;P hehehe ^^*
     
    It's a brilliant thing for training up Pokemon.
     
    I use all the pokemon Ive got in R/S so every single one has pokerus, it cant kill them and it makes thesm stronger and level up quicker so If one loses it it will get it back cuz of the others, i reckon pokeRUS is a good thing
     
    Ahh I forgot all about the Pokerus.. the last time I got it was from Yanma on Silver Version.. I got infected on my 3rd battle with it.. 1/20000 chance You'll get infected o.O Anyways it only lasts for a limited time, so make sure you spread it to you other pokemon, by depositing it with your other pokemon.(as said previously) ^_^ I think if it was already effected it keeps the effects of it even if it disappears. Only problem is u can no longer spread it.. (also I think they stay affected as long as there still deposited, not a guarantee though) If I remember it lasted 4 days.. (it also has a few other effects, just need to mess around with it. ^_^)

    I'm pretty sure as long as you keep infecting other pokemon, the virus can keep spreading for an unlimited time.. G/S/C the pokemon needed to be deposited to spread the virus, in RU/SA party PKMN can catch the virus, or from just depositing.. To keep this lasting keep a few that are infected at all times in a deposit box. This is a great way to EV train.. Pokerus + Macho Brace= 4x EV (Pokerus can be found in random areas)

    My Blaziken got it once while trying to catch Latios.... It was near Evergrande.
     
    It was quite cool I went to a pokecenter and all the people said different things to me about pokerus and the woman who heals your pokemon said that they had been had been infected with it, they havent lost it since thoughO_o
     
    Does Mew come with Poke'rus? It always seem to level up quicker then any other Pokemon.

    O/T:
    I've never seen a shiny Pokemon, yet I've had G/S/C since they came out. What am I doing wrong?
     
    No mew does not come with pokerus your mew or anyones mew must be easier to level up!
