Pokecommunity Fan Site ??

I wasn't totally sure if I could post this here, and I read all the rules ^^;;

I'm starting a new Pokemon site, and I have tons of experience with HTML/web design, etc.

I was suggested that a fan site for the Pokemon Community would be a good idea; what exactly would be involved??

I could use any suggestions; especially since there are so many Pokemon sites with the same information.. ^^;;

(I also plan on putting up a shop section; especially since I've done plenty of e-commerce before)

What, exactly, is a "Pok?mon Community fansite"?

There's not much point in starting a fansite for a forum o_O
