3rd Gen Pokedex Challenge

Yeah, pretty basic, just a challenge on how fast you can complete the National Dex as of Gen III.
Rules:
-A complete pokedex consists of every pokemon excluding Mew, Ho-oh, Lugia, Celebi, Jirachi, and Deoxys, but if you can obtain them, go for it.
-Yes this challenge requires that you trade with other version, and Roms can, I've done it before, but you must figure out how.
-Updates will consist of our current party, number of seen pokemon, number of caught pokemon, and badges obtained.
-This challenge is all about speed, there will be a first, second, third, forth, and fifth place. Others will get a complementary prize, all of these prizes will be badges to put in your sig.
-This challenge will take place in the Hoenn games, ie. Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald.
-No cheating devices, NONE.
-Games must be completed at normal speed, not 5x or so on.
-Storylines of games must be completed.
-You must tell me what version you are playing.
-All available pokemon must be caught before trading with other versions begins.
I will be listing all participants, and we will not begin the challenge until there are ten challengers.
1.SkyPioneer
2.Team Magic Tyson
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.
After the intial ten, if anyone else wants to take the challenge, another run of ten challengers will start after the inital ten are done.
Have fun all.
Note: I will not be participating, I suck at races.

I think this will be a little unfair for those who don't use emulators unless you specify that you have to play at normal speed. My emulator can play these games at over 5x the speed. (which is why I replay my games on the computer)

I don't think I'd like to take part though cause I like to go faster with the emulators. But if only people playing faster on emulators sign up then I'll give it a whirl!

What really isn't fair is that since trading from other games is okay, I have all 386 Pokemon in my Emerald version, and since RS has no trade restriction, I could start trading from Emerald to Ruby within the first 5 minutes of game play. I think one of the rules is that the in-game storyline must be completed.

I'm not sure if this challenge is as popular as your other one Jolly :P
Maybe trying to fill a pokedex just isn't as fun as battling thru the game quickly.

I rekon VBA users would easily win due to their accelerated speed in playing and using gameshark...

Nice competition, could easily win. Want to keep a low profile for time being.

The rules do specify that if you're playing on an emulator, you have to go at normal speed. That'll make sure everyone is going the same pace. And it's usually against the rules in most challenges to use gameshark or codebreaker codes or anything like that, on an emulator or not.

The rules actually do specify you have to go at normal speed, and not x5, or anything like that.
