3rd Gen Pokedex Complete

    Does anything else happen besides getting a diploma when you complete the Pokedex in Emerald?
    And does completing the Pokedex mean catching a Deoxys and Jirachi? If so is there any way of getting either one of those two without having something like Action Replay/Gameshark or some Nintendo Event?
     
    Well Professor Birch will call you and give you the choice to choose between the G/S/C starters but you have to beat the Elite Four as well. I think you can catch Jirachi or Deoxys but you have to do something with the space center in Mossdeep but I don't know the specifics. =/
     
    All you get for completing the PokeDex is self gratification and a diploma. And yes, in order to complete the PokeDex, you have to catch Jirachi and Deoxys as well.

    Special events and cheats are the only way, unless you can find someone that has a Jirachi or Deoxys and is willing to trade it to you (or trade back and forth just to register the data).

    EDIT: Ignore the previous post above. That was just a rumor aimed at certain gullible people. You cannot go to space and battle a Deoxys there.
     
    You get one of the three Johto starters when you successfully complete the Hoenn PokeDex. You also get a certificate, real gratifying, huh?

    Then when you complete the National Dex you get a certificate.
