I've tried to delete all files mentioning Pokémon animations and the Pokémon are still moving. I deleted the sprite frames of the Pokémon too but nothing to do they still move.

I honestly don't know what to tell you. I tried it myself just now and it's working perfectly fine on my end.

I suppose you somehow misinterpreted or misunderstood the instructions.
In any case, I pushed a branch to my GitHub repository whose latest commit you can use as a point of reference.
