Pokegold Sprite hack

Hello everyone. I'm trying to edit the main character sprite of pokemon gold with Photoshop.

This is the sprite modified with Photoshop.

This is the sprite seen from the Pokemon Gold ROM.
Can anyone tell me what this problem is caused by?

pokegold keeps only the middle 2 colors of trainer palettes. You need to make sure that white is the first color in the palette and black is last or the sprite's palette won't be correct.
