    Hello All...

I recently came across a Pokémon Machamp Edition 1 collectable card. I know absolutely NOTHING about Pokémon cards however the card was given to me by a close friend. When I personally researched the values of this particular card the selling prices/scale was significant. Literally from .50 cents all the way up to 10,000 dollars! I'm going to scan an image of the actual card (front & back,) hoping that someone with a bit more experience could assist me.

I would like to proactively thank anyone who can assist me for their time and effort. Again, I'm truly lost when it comes to these cards!

Side Note* Thank you so very much for the hospitality so far, truly some class act individuals I've had the opportunity to speak with so far!

The damage on the back really hurts this card.

If it were mint condition, it'd be worth about $6 USD or so. If mint condition and professionally graded, maybe around $10-$15 USD.
However I'd guess that this card would go for $2 at most, with the condition that it's in.

It wasn't particularly rare to begin with, as it was a guaranteed pull from early base set pre-built decks. Hope this helps.
The prices you're finding are just prices that people are listing them for on bidding sites like eBay, it doesn't mean that people are actually paying that much for them or that they're actually worth that. Anyone can list any card for sale on eBay and put the asking price as $10,000. So ultimately you don't want to base value on asking prices, but what the market actually pays for them.

A good site to check for actual selling-prices (their true value) would be the one I'd personally recommend, "TrollAndToad".

Also, those $10,000 listings got their start from some troll videos where people vastly overstated the prices of old cards.
