    I've been reading the Pokemon adventures manga lately, and it got me thinking. There should be a challenge where you go through the games using the teams of manga characters! This is my first time creating a challenge, so feel free to help me improve!

    Rules
    1. Choose a character and the six pokemon you'll use for the challenge.

    2. Hacking/trading is allowed when necessary, but don't hack in a level 100 pokemon. Be reasonable.

    3. Characters must be played in their region for the Ultimate Challenge, but you can play any region if you don't want to try Ultimate.

    4. This challenge is for the first 3 generations only. *EDIT* All generations are allowed if you're not doing the Ultimate Challenge.

    5. The challenge is completed when you:
    a. Defeat the E4 in R/B/Y, FR/LG, and R/S
    b. Defeat Red in G/S/C
    c. Defeat Steven in Emerald

    6. You must use 6 Pokemon that are on your chosen character's team.

    7. You can play FR/LG as Gen 1 games.

    You may have to do some hacking if your on an emulator. If not, you can just use the available pokemon. And Dango, I'll put you in your own section because your doing every character!

    does the team we pick decide the player's gender or not
    what about pokemon gender

    You don't have to do the character gender, because you can't on some of them. And Pokemon gender doesn't matter. If you sign up for the Ultimate Challenge, you need to list the teams you're using for each game, not just one team.

    Ok finally got my first gym badge after training for a bit outside Rustboro City. During said training as you can see, my Torchic evolved into Combusken. Next stop, Dewford Town!

    Ampibom is not in Johto. It's in Sinnoh, and the 424th Pokémon. So basically, for Pokémon G/S/C (no HG/SS 'cos it's not allowed) Gold (the character) is impossible to do. Just saying you should change that to a different Pokemon that is one of the 256 Pokémon in G/S/C.

    Wrong! There is not 256 Pokemon in G/S/C there is only 251. Number 256 is Combusken.

    Read Rule 3. It says you can use the teams in any region if you're not doing the Ultimate Challenge, so I won't change it.

    -Caught Aron Lv. 9 in Granite Cave (after what seemed like hours of searching but in reality was only about 5 minutes)
