"Nina. Wake up dear"

"Nghhnuh... Not. . . yawn. . . Now mom, I'm tryna sleep" the orange haired girl snuggled her Raichu plushy closer while she slept and the elder woman smiled softly before gently shaking the girl awake "Nina, you're going to be late if you continue to sleep" Nina mumbled and rolled onto her side "I'm not gonna be late mom" she yawned lightly and nuzzled her face deeper into her pillow "school's out remember" Linda laughed softly and shook her slightly harder "I don't mean school dear, I mean for you to get your starter Pokemon from Professor Oak, I remember you telling your father and myself about how excited you were to start your journey, but at this rate you won't get anywhere."

The half-sleep Nina quickly shot up and stared at her mother with wide eyes "Oh no! Your right! I'm supposed to get my Pokemon today!" rushing to get out of bed, she didn't realize she had become tangled in her sheets and wound up falling flat on her face "Ouch" she moaned sitting up and rubbing her cheek "Hehe Why don't I get you some breakfast and you get ready, alright?" Nina nodded and quickly began to untangle herself from her sheets, while her mother made her way downstairs "Don't dilly-dally Nina, you don't have much time to waste" Nina poked her head out her room door as she bounced on one foot trying to get it in her pants leg and put her sock on at the same time "Alright Mom!"

"Waahh-- Omph! Owww"

"Are you okay Nina!"

"I'm fine Mom... I'm just a bit.. ummm discombobulated at the moment, don't pay me any mind if you hear a few bumps and thuds within the next couple minutes!" she called back downstairs while Linda sighed with a smile, whipping up the batter for breakfast this morning "What are we going to do with that girl?" Brian chuckled and shook his head "Ship her off to Cinnabar I presume? I hear its nice around there this time of year."

"Oh That's not funny Dad." glancing up from his spot at the table, Brian smiled at Nina, who stood in the Kitchen doorway, dressed and ready to go, she was wearing one of her favorite outfits, that consisted of a blue and white stripped shirt, star spangled blue jeans, that flared out at her legs and covered her blue strapped tan wedge sandals, her favorite plain black choker was around her neck and her two plain black wrist bands on either of her wrist, a black messenger bag rested at her waist, it looked to be filled with clothes, food, her sketch book, her camera, her toiletries, a sleeping bag and her favorite Raichu plushy.

"Are you all set Nina" her mom asked flipping the cakes in her pan "Yes Mom. I'm all ready to go" Linda smiled "Good, Would you like something to eat before you go?" Nina nodded and walked over to the counter "I'll just grab some Bacon and an Apple... Pallet Town isn't that far from here and I can just come back after I get my Pokemon if I'm really hungry" Linda frowned in a disapproving manner "Its not good to run off on an empty stomach" she murmured grabbing some Toast, a cheese egg and a few sticks of Bacon, she made a sandwich out of it and handed the wrapped food, along with a couple piece's of fruit to Nina "Eat this when you have the chance alright"

Nina smiled and nodded "Alright Mom... thanks" she hugged both her parents and dashed straight out the door "I love you guys!" she then ran off to Pallet Town "Love you too sweetie! Be Careful dear and try to make some friends alright!"

+-+-+-+-+

"Wow... This place is so big and spacious...." Nina shifted her pack at her hip, pulling out her Camera and snapping a few pictures "Its so pretty here... seems real nice and calm" she glanced around the town before spotting a tall spire and a lab that was attached to it "That must be the professor's place... I guess I should get going then"

"Umm excuse me... is anyone in here?" It didn't take her long to Professor Oak's lab, she tentatively stepped into the lab and glanced around, noticing beakers filled with unidentifiable liquids, some were overflowing, books stacked up in piles, some were thrown open, machines rumbling loudly as they crackled with energy, Nina glanced at it all with wide curious eyes "Woah... the Professor seem a bit... umm..." she trailed off unsure of what to say.

"Messy?"

"Eep!" Nina jumped slightly at the voice, blushing out of embarrassment when she saw it was just the Professor, standing behind her with a large comforting smile on his face "You must be Nina am I correct" she nodded slowly before looking away "I'm sorry for... being late Professor... I suppose time just got ahead of me... did I miss out on the Pokémon?" Professor Oak waved a hand dismissively "Its quite alright, but yes you missed out on Charmander, his trainer just came by not to long ago, you might've even seen him as you were coming through?"

"Oh.. Umm no, I don't think I did"

"Ah well, it doesn't matter, you'll all meet up again very soon" he told her before placing a hand on her shoulder and guiding her towards the incubator where the Pokéball's were being kept, there were only two left, which Nina assume was a Bulbasaur and Squirtle "Here are the last two Pokéballs, Squirtle and Bulbasaur... have you decided on which one you want?" Nina scratched her cheek and stared at the Pokéball's for several seconds "Umm I want Squirtle" she pointed to the red and white ball that had a water symbol on it.

Professor Oak nodded and allowed Nina to pick up the ball "Come out Squirtle!" the Pokéball snapped open with a musical chime and Nina bent down to the water turtle's eye level, Squirtle blinked back at the smiling girl "Hi Squirtle... I'm your new trainer Nina" Squirtle was silent for a few seconds, before he smiled back "Squirtle Squirt!" Squirtle then began sniffing the air, something smelled really good "Squirtle?" he walked towards Nina's bag and began rummaging through her stuff before he pulled out her Egg sandwich her Mom had made for her "H-Hey Wait! Don't eat that Squirtle!" she cried out, slumping in defeat when the Tiny Turtle finished it off in one big bite "Squuurrrp"

Squirtle blushed and covered his mouth after burping, placing a hand behind his head in a sheepish manner "Squirtle Squirt." Nina stared at Squirtle with wide eyes and an empty stomach "That was my breakfast..." she murmured defeatedly while Squirtle gave her an apologetic grin and patting her on the shoulder "Squirtle Squirt Squirt."

Nina hadn't even noticed the Professor had left, let alone come back, until he cleared his throat, causing her to straighten up and glance at the man "Err umm yes Professor?" he held out a small electronic device, it was blue and looked like a mini computer or something "This is a Pokédex, its a Pokémon encyclopedia, you will use it to record data on all the Pokémon you should meet" Nina took the Pokédex and the five Pokéballs the Professor had and stuffed them in her pack "Thank You Professor"

"No Problem" he smiled and Nina, along with Squirtle, whom she scooped up in her arms turned to leave "Oh yes.. Nina before you go..." he called out, causing them to turn back towards him "I'd like for you to keep your eye out for two more trainers. You might see them at Viridian city, one is a boy with bright eyes and brown hair. The other is also a boy, but he has wild dirty blond hair and deep red eyes" Nina froze at that, clutching Squirtle tightly "Red eyes... he sounds scary..." she thought with a worried expression that professor didn't seem to notice "Anyway's, just just make sure to meet them then talk to me over the Video Phone"

"A-Alright... Umm good bye Professor!" she waved back at him before leaving the lab.

[So after we uhh all meet up in Viridian, you'll then decide our Post order?]

"Remember to pack everything! It's your decision to travel the world, after all." A noticeably masculine voice called from down the staircase, slightly annoyed. Edwin sighed and continued to stare at the ceiling of his room, painted a nice monotonous white and papered with elaborate designs in the form of a fleur-de-lys pattern. His blanket was under him, Edwin having forsaken it for a decrease in overall temperature. The radio on his bedside table was playing a lively tune, at a low volume; Sarasate's Carmen Fantasy, a beautiful piece and a classic for aspiring violinists, of which Edwin was one. Hear that beautiful stress on the part with the expressivo, Edwin thought. Perfectly executed. Just heavenly. I wish I could be this confident when I'm playing…

It was midnight. Edwin had fallen asleep just a few minutes before when a shadow appeared in his doorway. It was his father, steel-framed glasses sitting high on his nose and a buff waistcoat worn on top of a long-sleeved shirt and burgundy tie. He smiled at Edwin's sleeping form, reminiscing of past days. "As nervous and forgetful as ever, Edwin. You'll need to shape up if you're ever becoming a professional virtuoso." Muttering this quietly, Edwin's father tidied up Edwin's room, messy as always; refilled the side box of his violin case with new rosin; placed a few boxes of food inside Edwin's orange backpack; and placed a fresh packet of strings inside it as well. He was a little surprised to see that Edwin's sheet music was inside his pack already, but then chuckled. "Of course. Always thinking about your music first." And after some careful deliberations inside his head, he placed a box of matches and Edwin's portable stand inside too. "Good night, Edwin. It's all for the best." The shadow left Edwin's room, retreating back to the comfort of his own. As an afterthought, he added to the ceiling; "Good night, Celeste."

OOC: Edwin's mother is named Celeste?! Even I didn't know that before I wrote this! GASP.

------
"BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR---- RRIIIINNNNNNNNNGGGGGG! BRRRRRRRRR----- RRRRRIIIIIINNNGG!" Edwin's alarm clock went off with a shriek, jumping up from his nightstand. The boy on the bed beside it groaned and reached for it, but missed, and it continued to ring with unrivalled force. "This… is… ridiculous…" The boy moaned to himself, and reached for it again, missing a second time. "Alright… I'll, uh, get up now." Rubbing his eyes open vigorously, Edwin sat up, dusting his pajamas off from his night's sleep. He stared at the face of his alarm clock, now that he was wide awake, and gasped in sheer horror. "Uh, oops…" The alarm clock indicated that it was already quarter to eleven. "I meant for it to be nine fifty-five instead…" A drop of sweat was visible on Edwin's forehead, and he facepalmed. Then, after five minutes of moping around in his room, he suddenly snapped into awareness and grabbed his gear, running downstairs and snatching two trail mix bars in the process from the pantry. He noticed that his father wasn't awake yet; at least, his father's door wasn't open. But that thought brushed past him in his rush to Professor Oak's laboratory. Unbeknownst to him, his father watched him from his bedroom window.

"Good luck, son. May your mother watch over you." With that, he brushed the curtains of his room closed, and went downstairs for a late breakfast; he had been there all morning, waiting for his son to depart.

Three minutes of non-stop sprinting (with intermittent walking one-tenth of the way, of course) brought a sweating Edwin to Professor Oak's lab, tired after the physical exertion. He flinched as he saw the Professor turning around to wink at him, teacup in hand, in his typical armchair beside a table, but managed a weak smile and a small wave back at the Professor.

"So, Edwin. Up late, eh?" The Professor chuckled amiably at Edwin's predicament. Not offensively, of course, and Edwin shrugged and kept a sheepish expression on his face. "Umm… yes, Professor. My alarm clock… ah, was set wrong." At this, Professor Oak roared with laughter, then stood up, setting his teacup on the table. "Not to worry, young man. We had three Pokemon ready, and there were trainers that came earlier than you did, but you're in luck. There's one left." Edwin was cheered up by this revelation, having previously been saddened by the fact that other trainers came earlier than he did. "So… umm… which one is it, Professor?" He hoped that he didn't sound to obtrusive or rude.

Professor Oak paced slowly to the Pokemon-dispensing machine, where he kept the typical three starters for the youths of Pallet Town, and sometimes elsewhere, too. There were three hollows in the machine, but two of them were empty, their colorations red and blue. Only a ball with a leaf etched into it was left. "We have here a Fushigidane; a Bulbasaur. He's our last Pokemon; I'm going to give him to you, Edwin. Along with research materials, of course; here's his Pokeball." Saying this, the Professor extracted the leaf ball out of the machine, lowering its glass barriers. "Now, take a seat while I get you a Pokedex; it's our newest model. You'll need Pokeballs, of course. And, uh… anything else I missed?" Professor Oak winked at Edwin, and walked out of the room into another side room briskly. Edwin smiled sheepishly again, clearly embarrassed, and when a grinning Professor Oak returned triumphantly, a pouch of Pokeballs and a red device in hand, Edwin managed only a faint "Thank you."

"What was that, young man?" Oak shook Edwin's hand rather energetically, and reassured him with another smile. "You can afford to speak up, now."

"Thank you very much… Professor. It's been very nice to meet you." Edwin finally spoke coherently and successfully completed a proper sentence to the older and more experienced white-haired man in front of him. "Ojisan." In response to this, Professor Oak patted him on the back. Suddenly recalling something, he began to speak again; "I did forget something! You'll need to find two others in Viridian City, once you get there, okay? One is a boy, just like you, with dirty blond hair and red eyes. The other is a girl, endowed with fiery red-orange hair and interesting eyes; she is heterochromatic, meaning her eyes are two different colors, so she should be easy to find. After you do that, speak to me over the Video Phone, alright?" With these words, Professor Oak escorted Edwin out of the lab.

Tai sighed as he adjusted his hat. Yeah, this was going to be a long year, and now walked along the dirt path that cut a way through the large flower fields, Viridian City far in the distance. The boy was currently absorbed in checking his new pokedex.

"Charmander, mhm…What other pokemon are around here?" He asked the device, and it blipped.

"Location, ****yzing…"

After a few seconds, it let out a chime like sound.

"Pokemon Identified. List as follows: One: Pidgey, Two: Rattata, Three: Pokemon Unknown."

Tai stopped walking, he looked at the picture of Pidgey and smiled, it looked very strong, and continued down. Pokemon Unknown?

He looked around for any sign of the unknown pokemon……when a shadow caught his eye and the boy did a double take.

The shadow was standing in the bushes, silently.

It was there, tall and imposing upon the back drop of peaceful green foliage.

Tai shuddered. It was staring at him; he could feel its eyes boring into his.

His eyes were watering, he couldn't maintain contact. Every fiber in his body told him to blink.

So he did.

And when the boy looked back, it was gone.

What had that been?

He wasn't given time to think over that, as a small shape darted in front of him.

A Pidgey!

"Kerukroo!" The Pidgey screeched, its head lowered.

The cry of the pokemon shook off the remaining effects of the horrendous glare, and Tai removed the pokeball at his waist,"Whoo! A feisty one! GO! CHARMANDER!"

The little orange pokemon came out, and then braced its legs as it faced the Pidgey.

"Alright! Charmander, Growl!"

The pokemon opened his mouth releasing a piercing growl, stunning the flying pokemon.

The Pidgey squirmed, and then let out a gust of air that blew back the Charmander, its weakened wings still very much active.

"Ah!" Tai shielded his eyes from the whipped up sand.

"Char!" Charmander righted itself in the air and landed.

"Scratch!" Tai pointed at the Pidgey, and Charmander charged, scraping the Pidgey in the air, feathers and all.

"Go! Pokeball!" The boy threw the capsule at the Pidgey, and it opened, the bird pokemon sucked inside.

Both pokemon and human held their breath as the ball moved back and forth.

Ding! Pidgey was caught!

"Alright! Great job Charmander!" Tai patted Charmander on the head and it smiled. The boy went over, picked up the ball and clipped it on his waist, letting Charmander stay out for a while longer.

"A new friend! His name's Gee." Tai told Charmander, walking along the road, the orange pokemon waddling by his side. He had always had a flair for nicknames….although to some; it was more of an annoying habit….

"Charman Charmander!"

"And you……" Tai thought.

"You're name is Charco. After those powerful rocks that power up fire moves …." As the two continued to walk down Route 1, Tai noticed a rather large hole in one of the hills. The curious Charco dashed over to the hole and peeked inside of it,

"Be careful Charco! Who knows what lives in there." Tai warned the small orange pokemon. The charamander proceeded to growl into the hole. The growl echoed down the hole for a couple of second, before a slight rumbling was heard. Dozens and dozens of tiny purple rats raced out, carrying Charco with them. Tai's eyes widened and chased after the mob,

"Crap, I can't bring out Gee. He's too tired...Charco! Growl!" The Charmander screeched at the top of its lungs, causing the mob to twitch slightly. Allowing the lizard to hop off, the mob raced off somewhere else in the route.

"Oh no you don't! Charco Scratch!" Charco raced after the mob and extended its arm, piercing one of the Rattata's bodies. Causing it to roll on the dirt floor.

"Ratta!" The Rat pokemon used its own growl attack to lower Charco's power.

"No worry, another Scratch attack should do it!" Charco's claws dug into the Rattata's purple flesh, launching it back.

"Go, Pokeball!" The capsule absorbed the pokemon and fell to the floor. It shuffled a bit on the floor before a 'ding!' was heard.

"Ha! Take that! We won!" Tai yelled at Charco.

The Charmander grinned, "It's name is Ratty!" Tai smiled and the two continued walking….

Through the flower fields…

"Dodge it Squirtle! Then use Tackle!"

"Squirtle!!" Squirtle side stepped his opponent and then rammed his head into the offender's side as it ran past "Taaa!" Rattatta cried out as Squirtle hit him, before he skidded to a halt and ran back towards Squirtle, butting his head against the turtle's stomach "Rattata!" it then followed up with Tail Whip, smacking Squirtle in the face a couple times in the face with its slightly curled tail.

"Squuurrrt"

Squirtle growled, a bit annoyed at being toyed with like that, so he rammed his head into Rattata again, this time with a bit more force behind the Tackle, sending it flying into the grass not to far from them "Awesome Tackle Squirtle" Squirtle puffed out his chest proudly at the praise and scanned the grass for the Rattata "Look out Squirtle! Behind you!" Rattata shot out from behind Squirtle, catching him off guard, Rattata was now hanging on Squirtle's head and the turtle was attempting to throw it off its back "Squirtle!"

"Tattaaa"

Rattata was using its tiny claws to grip tightly onto Squirtle's head, refusing to be thrown off "Squirtle! Squirt! Squirt!" Squirtle shook his head trying to get the clinging rat off his skull "Try ducking in your shell and then hitting it!" Squirtle nodded, doing as told, his head briefly retracting into his Shell before it popped out again and connected harshly with Rattata's head, sending the Mouse Pokémon flying off him and onto the ground, with swirls in its eyes "Taataa" it groaned and Nina smiled "Alright! Pokéball go!"

Nina tossed one of her Pokéball's at the fainted Rattata, it sucked the mouse in and began to wobble back and forth uncertainly for several tense seconds... both Squirtle and Nina held their breath's watching as it wobbled, shaking a bit harshly before it slowly died down and the light ping made them release their breath's in relief "Awesome Job Squirtle! We caught Rattata!"

"Squirtleee! Squirt! Squirt!"

Squirtle stroke a victorious pose while Nina smiled before she placed the ball back on her belt "My first capture... when we get to Viridian, I'm gonna heal this little guy" Nina pulled out her Pokedex and began searching for Rattata.

Rattata
Mouse Pokémon

A forest Pokémon, Rattata. It likes cheese, nuts, fruits and berries. It also comes out into open fields to steal food from stupid travelers.

Nina's eyes narrowed at her Pokédex. Was this machine calling her stupid? "Squirtle Squirt!" Nina's attention snapped to Squirtle, who had walked a few feet ahead, he was waving eagerly to Nina, who was contemplating throwing her Pokédex in the bushes "Alright Squirtle, I'm coming" she ran up towards the Tiny Turtle Pokemon, deciding to scan him while she was at it.

Squirtle
Tiny Turtle Pokémon
Squirtle. This Tiny Turtle Pokémon draws its long neck into its shell to launch incredible water attacks with amazing range and accuracy. The blasts can be quite powerful.

"I guess their talking about Water Gun. Cool" she murmured closing the dex and placing it back into her bag, she then gasped upon feeling her camera "Oh! Squirtle! Come here!" Squirtle blinked and ambled his way over to Nina, who pulled out Rattata's Pokéball, zapping the Mouse out right in front of them "Tatta!" it squeaked glancing around before looking at Nina and Squirtle and hissing "Rattata!" Nina held up her hands in a peaceful manner "Calm down Rattata, we're not here to fight... I just wanna get your pictures" she held up her camera and showed them.

"Squirt/Tatta?"

Both Pokémon looked at the Camera in confusion while Nina picked both of them up in one of her arms, Rattata on her left and Squirtle on the right, she positioned the Camera with her free hand and smiled widely "Say Cheese!" she told them before snapping the Photo and Nina had to laugh when she saw the confused looks etched on their faces, while their pupils had become dilated from the flash, Nina was the only one smiling in the Photo however "Haha you guys look so funny" Squirtle and Rattata were still trying to blink the weird dots out of their eyes, while Nina laughed as she carried them both down the path towards Viridian City.

[Its a bit short, but I'm trying to post before my mom kicks me off the computer]

Edwin brushed through the beautiful tall grass by his side, calmly walking ahead, steel violin case in hand and orange backpack on his back. His Bulbasaur skipped ahead of him happily, occasionally stopping to wait for Edwin to catch up with him and to absorb the sheer warmth and power of the sunlight into his chlorophyll-rich bulb. Absentmindedly, Edwin pulled out one of the trail mix bars he had taken from his pantry earlier from his pocket, ripped open the plastic wrapping, and began to munch on it, unconscious that he left behind a trail of crumbs. "Mmm… very nice. Maybe too many raisins are in it, though. Bulbasaur, would you like a try?" Edwin smiled serenely at his Bulbasaur, who beamed back and responded with a quick nod of his head. Cheerfully, Edwin bent down to the ground, and began to feed his Bulbasaur part of the trail mix bar-

When suddenly it was snatched out of his hand by a wandering Pidgey. Edwin looked up at the little rascal, now in the sky, with some interest but mostly mild outrage at the Pidgey having taken his breakfast. "Hey! Come back here with my food!" As the Pidgey began to flap away, Edwin's Bulbasaur also began to growl indignantly at his opponent, momentarily startling Pidgey and causing it to pause.

"So, a Pokemon battle, huh?" Edwin glanced up at the Pidgey, then down at his Bulbasaur. He sighed, half jokingly. "Oh well. I suppose you've gotta do these things sometime, or you won't get good at it. Practice makes perfect! So…" He pulled out his Pokedex and scanned both his Pidgey and Bulbasaur.

PIDGEY – THE TINY BIRD POKEMON. https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pokémon_Stadium_(English)If at all possible, it will try to avoid battles. Small or weak enemies are blown away by whirlwind.

Enlightened by the device in his hands which allowed him to access the online information database about the features of Pokemon, Edwin began to issue his first serious command. "Tackle that bird, Pidge- oops! Sorry, Bulbasaur! Tackle that bird!" Bulbasaur looked at Edwin, slightly puzzled, before launching himself into the air and at the brown pseudo-pigeon, who rolled out of the way in midair and buffeted Bulbasaur with his wings in a furious storm. Bulbasaur, not fazed too much by the sudden attack, landed nimbly and prepared to tackle anew; when Pidgey swooped down and kicked sand into Bulbasaur's face. Edwin drew a sharp breath. "Ouch… uh, this is serious business. Let's, um, try that again, Bulbasaur! Growl and Tackle in quick succession! Oh, and… grab on to his wings!" Edwin tucked his hair away nervously, and intently watched the ensuing chaos.

Bulbasaur heard the commands, and readied another tackle attack, taking a few steps back and then charging forward, directly at the Pidgey, who spun around in a circle and tried to get a screen of sand between him and the Bulbasaur, but to no avail. Bulbasaur collided with Pidgey, who fell down in a heap of dusty feathers.

"Now… should I throw a Pokeball?" Edwin asked himself. "I guess I should! Go, Pokeball!" Pidgey was engulfed with a flash of red energy into the sphere's interior, which rolled around once, twice, and… ding! Pidgey was caught, indicated by the quick pulse of the button of the Pokeball. Exhilarated, Edwin stooped down to pick it up. "Great job, Bulbasaur!" Remembering the trail mix bar earlier, forgotten in the brawl, Edwin scanned the surroundings, crestfallen. "Ah, I'm afraid we lost the snack, Bulbasaur." Rummaging in his pocket once again, he located his second trail mix bar, and his face lit up again. Their journey continued, their ranks increased by the aid of a new friend and a source of energy.

OOC: Lame ending >.<

Episode Two: Rocket Battle! Viridian's Old Man!

The flower field slowly gave way to a dirt path that narrowed into Viridian City, the verdant town of nature. From what Tai could see, there was a pokecenter up ahead. Beyond that, masses of small buildings and homes were gathered around the middle of the city, where the Viridian Gym awaited.

Charco ran ahead, happy to be able to get some food. "Charman Charrr!!!!!!!"

"Hold up Charco! Geez…..you're faster than you look."

<No, your just slow.> Charco teased.

Tai started a little. He was standing before the pokecenter as people busied past him, in and out of the sliding glass doors….

And he could understand his pokemon? Probablyt the whole, get close to your pokemon, thing.

All of a sudden?

"Alright, a Pokemon Center. I can heal you, Gee and send Ratty to the Professor." The boy referred to the Rattata they caught about an hour beforehand. Tai ruffled his hair, before Charco scaled onto his shoulder as they enter the Pokecenter. Tai scanned the center as he entered.

There were MASSES of trainers everywhere! People gathered from far and wide. Some tough looking, other noobs like him. Old and young, pretty and ugly, the list went on and on.

Charco was pleasantly shocked. <Wow! Are there always this many trainers in Pokecenters?>

"Nah, don't think so. Viridian is the closest city to Victory Road and the Elite Four, that's why everyone comes here…"

<Oh. That's nice.>

"Mhm. One day, we'll be here and-"He was interrupted by a giant Chansey springing up in his face, nurse cap and all. It was right in his way.

"WHOA!" Tai fell backwards, his cap falling off.

"CHANSEY!" The pinkish, oval shaped pokemon grinned happily and shoved the Egg from her pouch in the trainers face.

Charco sweatdropped. <I think I want to go back in my pokeball now.>

Tai obliged, returning the pokemon as he got back on his feet. The Chansey smiled and bounced off, startling other trainers and showing off its newly polished egg.

'Psycho pokemon…" Tai thought, glaring at it. The boy righted himself and brushed off his hat as he walked towards the front counter. He stared into the bright blue eyes of a beautiful lady about 18 or so years old. She had bright pink hair in two elaborate curls and wore a pretty little nurse dress. A giant pink blob walked next to Nurse Joy,

"Chansey!" Tai growled,

"You!" The Chanse proceeded to glare at Tai and everything except for Tai and the Chansey seemed to fade away as their eyes were locked onto one another. A small bolt of electrical energy seemed to connect their eyes. After a few moments of death stares, Nurse Joy giggled,

"Sorry if Chansey caused you any trouble." Tai smiled at Nurse Joy,

"It's okay. So, can you heal my pokemon?" He chuckled slightly as she nodded. He walked away and sat down on one of the many couches and scanned the area. Where were those two other trainers?

"Hey look you guys, we're almost there!"

The familiar buildings of Viridian City were within Nina's line of sight, they were almost back at her home "Tatta/Squirtle!" Squirtle was in her arms while Tat, her Rattata was on her shoulder "Maybe we can get some food too... Ohh and maybe you guys can meet my Parents!" she smiled faintly "I'm sure they'll like you both alot" she laughed "I also wanna show them the picture we took... you guys looked so lost" she grinned while both the Pokémon looked away embarrassed "Tatta/Squirrrt"

"Its okay... no need to be embarrassed" she told them taking out her camera and flicking through it "I take funny picture's all the time... see" she gave the camera to Squirtle, who pushed one of the arrows, watching in amazement as it went to a new picture "Squirtle!" Tat had moved herself from Nina's shoulder and sat on Squirtle's head, while he flicked though the pictures, both laughing at the funny faces Nina had made in the camera, when she knew the two were thoroughly preoccupied Nina continued walking down Route 1's Path.

"Hey guys, we're here" she alerted the two giggling creatures, they stopped laughing and stared at Viridian's Pokémon Center "Now.. lets get you healed and then we can get some food... and... and meet those boy's the Professor said would be here" she faltered slightly in her step and Tat and Squirtle both noticed it "Squirtle?" Nina bit her lip and glanced at Tat and Squirtle "To tell you guys the truth... I'm a bit nervous about meeting these guys" she murmured "I'm not really a people person... I grew up pretty much without friends and I'm a bit uhh awkward around people I don't know... but If I'm going to be traveling with them, I'll get to know them better but still..." she trailed off unsurely.

"Squirtle!"

Squirtle had hopped out of her arms and attempted to reassure her "Squirtle! Squirt! Squirt!" he gave her a determined stare and puffed out his chest "Squirtle!" Nina smiled softly before laughing "Alright... I'll try and make some friends and I'll try not to be extremely awkward around them... but I'm not making any promises" Squirtle grinned and nodded before the trio entered the Center "Woah... there's so many people in here" she murmured glancing around at all the different faces and people piled up in the medium sized healing Center "Okay... lets go get you guys healed first, then we'll go get some food kay"

"Umm excuse me... Nurse Joy?"

Nina had walked up to the counter with both Tat and Squirtle in her arms, the candy red haired woman gave a gentle smile at Nina and her Pokémon, asking the fire haired girl what was the problem "Can you heal these two please?" Nurse Joy nodded "Of course, just wait here for a few moments" she took Tat ans Squirtle and along with her companion Chansey and took them behind the counter, Nina didn't know where the Nurse disappeared with her Pokémon, but a couple minutes later she came back and they looked about as healthy as ever, with Tat nibbling on an Apple "Rattata!"

Nina smiled "Look's like you found yourself some food huh?" she pet the Mouse gently on its head, causing it to release a content sigh while in munched Squirtle hopped off the counter and began walking by Nina's side while she picked up the nibbling Tat in her arms "Oh umm Nurse Joy... before I go, I was wondering ummm did you happen to see two trainers in here... two boys... umm one with with bright eyes and brown hair and the other with wild dirty blond hair and red eyes?" Nurse Joy tapped her chin thoughtfully "Yes, I saw the blond haired boy, he was up here not too long ago, I think Chansey was bothering him" she giggled and pointed to her Chansey, who scowled at the thought of the boy "But I haven't seen the brown haired one" she glanced around the center "Oh! There he is... the one with blond hair"

He was seated on a couch not too far away from where she was, scanning the room "Probably for me and that other boy" she thought tensing slightly, she didn't wanna go over there... she was nervous, a bit apprehensive "Squirtle!" noticing her tense Squirtle glanced at her briefly before walking towards the boy "H-Hey wait Squirtle! Where are you going!?" he glanced back at her with a look that clearly said 'If she won't do it, then I will' before he turned back around and began walking towards the boy "W-Wait Squirtle... don't!" Nina ran after Squirtle, hoping to stop him, but it was too late, he stood in front of the boy with a wide friendly grin "Squirtle!"

He looked down at Squirtle in confusion before glancing at Nina, who blushed embarrassed "I... I'm sorry... he uhh ran away from me" she swallowed thickly before asking the dreaded question "Umm a-are... are you the boy Professor Oak told me to meet?"

[Sorry >.< I would've posted this sooner... but PC was being a douche and kept having Database errors and busy servers =.=]

"So this… this is Viridian City." Edwin stared at the beautiful buildings of the place he named a second ago; he noticed the spherical-domed Pokemon Centre, something absent from Pallet Town; the gym, looming far in the distance, accompanied by silhouettes of people; he observed as he stopped to catch his breath. Panting slightly from the small sprint a couple minutes ago, he began to make his way first towards the Pokemon Centre, where it was possible that he could find lodgings and food. His mind wasn't too keen on finding his two fellow trainers right now.

The Pokemon centre had a red roof, just like all the Pokemon centres do. Nurse Joy, the caretaker of Viridian's Pokemon centre, smiled encouragingly at Edwin when he entered the revolving doors of the brightly lit main hall. Edwin flinched at the smile, then mentally shrugged and paced slowly up to the white-clad, pink-haired nurse.

Nurse Joy's smile widened into a smirk as Edwin attempted to hand his Pokeballs to her to take care of. This was obviously a new trainer, she thought, along with the other two that she saw a little earlier. "Please give me your identification, young man." Edwin opened his mouth in surprise and slightly blushed, rummaging around in his coat pocket for the red Pokedex. Nurse Joy took the device from him and scanned it through her computer, satisfied after several seconds. "Very good. So, would you like us to heal your Pokemon for you?" Suppressing her amusement, she continued. "Though it is rather obvious that the answer is a yes."

Edwin nodded placidly, mulling around for the right words to speak. Finally, he began to respond, quietly. "Er… if it wouldn't be too much trouble, I think I'll just need to drop off my Pidgey here. Thank you, very much."

"A lot of new trainers have been coming through lately…" Nurse Joy muttered to herself as she worked with the wounded Pidgey. "First a boy with dirty blond hair, then a girl with differently-colored eyes, and now you. Professor Oak must have been busy today." Edwin's ears perked up at news of the two people he were sent to find, and he attempted to stay calm and ask another question. "Do you, ah, know where they currently are? I was sent to find them in this city, and this would probably be a good place to look."

"Ah, I know who you are! Yes, you fit the descriptions given by them. Also, you might do well to look behind you." Nurse Joy chuckled apprehensively. "They seem to be getting acquainted already. Why don't you go greet them?" Edwin, in answer, spun around slowly, to see the two people that he was sent to find; the boy was on a couch, and the girl was before him, speaking with him. Rather nervously, Edwin noted. He began to gradually calm down and took deep breaths, and then began to slowly pace up to them.

"Hello!" Edwin took a deep breath. "I believe... that you are the ones that the eminent Professor Oak sent me to find." Edwin got off a complete sentence without pausing too much, certainly a good sign, but his knees were shaking to a small degree. "Uh, so my name's Edwin. Nice to meet you." He put his left hand behind his head and extended his right hand simultaneously, grinning slightly idiotically and certainly sheepishly.

Tai sighed as he rubbed his head, shifting his hat in the process. He fixed his hat into place again then reached into his pocket, he brought out his red pokedex he had received that morning and began toying around with it.

"H-Hey wait Squirtle! Where are you going!?" Tai's ears perked as he heard a distant voice cry out.

"W-Wait Squirtle... don't!" He heard again, then paused what he was doing. He gained the feeling that he was being watched, he quickly looked up to see a tiny blue turtle with large eyes and a wide friendly grin, "Squirtle!" It yelled out.

"Hey there little guy." Tai put his elbows on his knees and looked at the Squirtle and let out a great smile.

"I... I'm sorry... he uhh ran away from me." Tai's bright red eyes looked up at a young feminine figure, she was pecuilar. Her eyes weren't the same color, but rather two different colors. He smiled at her, she seemed nervous.

"Umm a-are... are you the boy Professor Oak told me to meet?" He grinned and nodded,

"Yup. I take it your the girl trainer he sent out today as well." He grinned and looked around.

"Well, we're missing one more guy." He stood up excitedly and looked around.

"Hello! I believe... that you are the ones that the eminent Professor Oak sent me to find." Both Tai and his newly met friend turned their attention to a new boy who appeared seemingly out of nowhere. "Uh, so my name's Edwin. Nice to meet you." He put his left hand behind his head and extended his right hand simultaneously, grinning slightly idiotically and certainly sheepishly.

Tai grabbed his hand with a tight grip and gave a giant grin, "Nice to meet you Edwin! I'm Tai! Tai Sugimori!" He smiled and then remembered about the girl,

"Well what's your name?" Tai's mind almost immediately drifted off after he asked the question.

"Hey, we need to call Oak!" Tai remembered and dashed madly towards the video phone booth. He sat down promptly and looked over at his two companions who were still walking over. He inserted his pokedex so Prof. Oak would know who was calling then dialed his number.

beep...beep...beep...click.

"Hello?" A sheepish old voice called out. Tai grinned, "Hey there Oak! It's me, Tai! I met those two other trainers you were talking about!" Tai smiled as the two trainers sat down next to him. Oak was overjoyed and nearly fell off his stool,

"I'm so glad you met up so early!! You see, the Pokemon League Association has made a few new rules that will help you out if you travel in a group of three. You see, I send out two groups of three trainers a year. One in the spring, and one in the autumn. Your the group I sent out in the autumn, so I would highly recommend traveling together through your journey" Tai grinned,

"I have no problem with that! What about you guys?" Prof. Oak smiled warm heartidly, Tai then heard the swish of the door of the ER open, and Nurse Joy came out, a peppy looking Charmander in her arms,

"I'll be right back Prof. Oak!" Tai stood up from the video phone booth quickly and walked over.

<Tai! Hey buddy, I'm up now! Feel a lot better too!> Charco instantly hopped out of Nurse Joy's arms and waddled over to his trainer, hugging his legs.

Tai laughed, picked up the Charmander and gave him a noogie. "That's good Charco. Thanks Nurse Joy, you're a lifesaver."

The pink haired lady giggled, blushing. "No problem Tai, I'm happy to help. Now I must go take other patients, please look after your Charmander, he's a sweetie."

"I will, thanks!" Tai waved and Joy smiled, and then went back to the counter, the line of trainers waiting anxiously.

The trainer looked down at the pokemon in his arms and grinned.

"Alright, Charco. I've gotta get going to the phone." The Charmander smirked, then jumped down from its trainers arms.

<Sure, go chat with the talking machine.>

The boy grinned. "That's one way to put it buddy." Charco then spotted Nina's Squirtle,

<Hi! I'm Charco! What's your name?> Charco waved at the Squirtle.

Back at the video phone booth, prof. Oak hung up and left the three trainers with a few good words of encouragement. "Well guys, looks like we're traveling together!" He smiled then grabbed hold of his stomach as it growled slightly,

"Who want to go eat?" Tai smiled.

"Yup. I take it your the girl trainer he sent out today as well." he asked with a friendly grin "U-uh umm yeah" she mumbled in response, petting Tat lightly, to keep herself from fidgeting "Squirtle Squirt!" Squirtle nudged her leg and motioned for her to stop being so nervous "But I can't help it" she whispered to the turtle, who frowned in response crossing its arms over its chest "Squirtle Squirtle" Nina had been a bit preoccupied with Squirtle, that she almost missed the other boy that had ran up to them, with a sheepish smile

"Hello! I believe... that you are the ones that the eminent Professor Oak sent me to find. Uh, so my name's Edwin. Nice to meet you." Nina nodded, while the boy took a more straightforward approach, grabbing his hand and shaking it wildly "Nice to meet you Edwin! I'm Tai! Tai Sugimori!" he then turned, that grin plastered on his face, to Nina asking "Well what's your name?"

"Ara... Umm my name... its... its..." she trailed off looking away with a red face and Squirtle stomped harshly on her foot, causing her to jump slightly and respond "Nina! My name is Nina!" she glared slightly at Squirtle, who gave a cheeky grin before looking at Tai, who's eyes and mind seemed to have wandered elsewhere, because not too soon after he asked the question, he was already asking another.

"This guy... he's so energetic..." she couldn't help but think "Hey, we need to call Oak!" Tai quickly leaped from his spot and dashed over to a Video phone, while she and Edwin followed along, albeit a bit slower, he had just finished dialing the number when they had made their way towards the screen, peering from atop his shoulders as the Professor's friendly face appeared before them.

Hello?" A sheepish old voice called out, causing Tai to grin... again, "Hey there Oak! It's me, Tai! I met those two other trainers you were talking about!" Tai smiled and motioned herself and Edwin, both taking a seat beside him "I'm so glad you met up so early!! You see, the Pokemon League Association has made a few new rules that will help you out if you travel in a group of three. You see, I send out two groups of three trainers a year. One in the spring, and one in the autumn. Your the group I sent out in the autumn, so I would highly recommend traveling together through your journey" Tai kept on smiling she noted "I have no problem with that! What about you guys?" Prof. Oak smiled warmly "Umm that's uhh fine with me Professor" she responded with a slight smile "I'll be right back Prof. Oak!" Tai stood up from the video phone booth quickly and walked over to Nurse Joy, who had a peppy looking Charmander in her arms.

"That must be his starter then..." she glanced briefly at Edwin, assuming he was the one who took the Bulbasaur after Edwin had gave his response, the Professor had told them he had some important things to finish at the lab and quickly hung up, Nina glanced at Tai, who was chatting with his Charmander briefly before setting it down, she watched with a soft smile as Charmander chatted happily with Squirtle.

"I'm Squirtle! Nina didn't really give me a name so... you can just call me Squirtle! But I think the name Gale sounds cute... maybe I can get her to name me that!"

Nina blinked, shaking her head "I must be hearing things... Pokémon can't talk" she laughed slightly to herself "Maybe I'm getting sick" she mumbled to herself, watching as Tai came back, grinning as usual "Well guys, looks like we're traveling together!" he then grabbed hold of his stomach as it growled slightly "Who wants to go eat?" Nina allowed a slow smile to seep on her face, his grin was infectious "I... uhh wouldn't mind... me and Tat are bit hungry" she glanced at Squirtle, who gave a sheepish grin "Hey it wasn't my fault! It was the sandwich's fault, for smelling so good" the Squirtle pouted and Nina brushed off the voice she heard, as nothing more than a figment of her imagination... there was no way Pok
émon could talk.

"Nice to meet you Edwin! I'm Tai Sugimori!" The blond-haired young man said in return, and shook Edwin's proffered hand energetically; slightly too much so, Edwin thought; and the aforementioned youth turned around to speak to the third member of their trio. "Well what's your name?" In response, the girl blushed and her starter Pokemon, a Squirtle – Edwin saw – stomped on her foot. She sprang in surprise and glared at her Pokemon after stating her name hurriedly. "Nina! My name is Nina!"

An apt name, thought Edwin as he filed away the name for future reference; he wasn't great with names, but he did it mentally anyway. "So… Nina. Good morning to you, as well." Nodding in solemn acknowledgement still, he began to pace towards where Tai had already dashed to a few moments ago; the phone.

As Edwin and Nina approached the phone booth-ish… thing that was the typical communications device in this world, and heard a fragment of Professor Oak's voice.

"-A few new rules that will help you out if you travel in a group of three. You see, I send out two groups of Pokemon trainers each year…" Professor Oak mentioned something about them traveling together. "I… do not object to that suggestion, Professor." Edwin hefted the steel case by his side, slightly uncomfortable but feeling more assured that his journey will be safer with others by him. At the same time, though, he will have the responsibility to look after them as well.

Both of the others have their starters outside, Edwin observed. "Why not?" He mused, aloud this time. "Bulbasaur! Realize!" He pressed the white button in the middle of his Pokeball.

A ray of red energy shot out from it, rapidly forming the shape of a reptile with a gigantic bulb proportionate to its body. As the light faded, Edwin's Bulbasaur appeared in front of Squirtle and Charmander.

-Greetings! I… am Bulbasaur.- Bulbasaur calmly waved his front paw at the other two starter Pokemon. –I am sure that you have met me at least once before, in Professor Oak's laboratory. But I will introduce myself again.–

"He has an interesting attitude." Edwin smiled a bit, unsure of what to do next. As Tai faced the suggestion that they go eat, Edwin used the excuse as a further source of conversation.

"I… uh…wouldn't mind... me and Tat are bit hungry." It was Nina's response to Tai's suggestion. Edwin found himself also lacking in energy.

"A nice suggestion. I believe the cafeteria, is, ah, somewhere over THERE." Edwin pointed down the hallway, to a sign with a teapot and cutlery drawn on it, together with the word "CAFETERIA". "I suggest that we… um… make our way over there as soon as possible. Come on, Bulbasaur."

-Yes, sir.- Bulbasaur seemed to pack some respect for Edwin, at least partially, but this comment was obviously filled with sarcasm as well. –Absolutely. Whatever you say, sir.-

"No attitudes, Bulbasaur. That's not required of you right now." Edwin whispered back. "You can do that later."

The trio entered the dining room which was a large room with vast dimensions, having a sunken lobby with many steel tables painted with brilliant colors. Then a higher part of the room with many machines dispensing condoments and a line with cafeteria workers.

The three trainers entered the line and grabbed their food and sat down promptly at an empty table,

"Ah! That hits the spot! I had a case of the munchies!" Tai yelled as he munched sheepishly on the food. A little kitten smile appearing on his face,

"Ah! I'm revitilized," Tai cheered, "Oh." Tai was shocked and let out this small noise as a growling noise creeped towards his ear. He looked down to see Charco and the other two starters holding their bellies. Tai chuckled as he lowered the pokemon food bowls he had gotten from the lunch lady.

<Thanks Tai! I was starving!> The Charmander munched on the food pellets.

"Anyways, Guys. I was thinking, we should challenge the first gym right away!" Tai clenched his fist while Charco climbed into his lab, his belly taut and full.

<Are gym hard?> Charco groaned from under the table, laying face up. Tai nodded his head and grinned mischeavously,

"Which is why I was thinking. There's a good training spot right outside of Viridian Forest. It's full of newer pokemon, like Weedle and Spearow. Great place to meet trainers too." Charco raised and eyebrow and grinned,

<Nice work.> Once everyone was done eating, they gathered their things and tinkered with their pokedexs and finally gathered up outside of the Pokemon Center, near the outskirts of the city.

<Wow, I can see lots of trees far away!> Charco pointed. Tai huffed, then sighed. "ALRIGHT! LET'S GO!" He pointed dramatically.

"HEY! YOU! GET OFFA MY PROPERTY!"

Tai face faulted, then whirled around to see an old, hunched man standing before him.

"Who are you buddy?" He demanded, squinting at the man with distaste.

"Buddy? HOW DARE YOU INSULT ME LASS! GO GET ME SOME COFFEE! I NEED COFFEE!"

Tai sweatdropped and immediately attempted to walk around the hunched, balding man, but the man tripped him with his cane.

"Where are you going mister? This is my property! You hooligans get off it! RIGHT NOW!" The man stuck his face in Tai's and yelled. The blonde hair boy rubbed his forehead and sat up, scowling.

"We need to get to Viridian Forest-"

"NO! How many times do I have to say it?!"

"Oh father, stop being so pig brained!" A woman came up from behind the old man. She had black hair pulled back tightly into a bun and kind brown eyes. The old man sniffed, then walked off.

The girl smiled, then turned to the three trainers. "I'm sorry, my father lost his Weedle this morning, and we've been scouring the property for it. He's a little grumpy."

Tai nodded. "It's alright. I'm Tai, Tai Sugimori." He extended his hand to the woman.

Yolei giggled as she shook the trainer's hands, then turned to shake Tai's hand.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Yolei Hatsuko. My father's name is Sesu."

"Well, I'm sorry to inconvenience you trainers, but I'm afraid you'll have to wait till Sesu's found Weedle." She sighed. Tai looked at his two companions,

"We shoudl help Yolei and her father get her weedle." Tai whispered to the other two trainers. After a few seconds of speaking to each other in a hushed tone, Tai shot back up and looked at Yolei.

"Alright Yolei, we've decided to help look for Sesu's Weedle. It's the least we can do to get by…."

The woman smiled brilliantly. "Really? Thank you so much! Let's start right away…."

Drop a heart, break a name.

Aw. I'm having feelings of nostalgia from Kanto version 1.0. You're using Tai and all. ;_; Anyways. I know i'm pestering and quite also clogging up the thread when there's a good chance that there's an Ooc already available, but I just wanted to ask if you were doing the Recurring characters thing again. ^^; One of the Roleplays I was in took a turn for the worse, and once having over twenty people apply for it, is now barren with posts, so there's a good chance that we'll have to just give that one up. Shame, because I like the easiness of Travel Roleplays. And so here I am on your doorstep, Char, with no one else to turn to. :P Could I quite possibly audition for the spot of Recurring character?

*points to Umbreon-chans posts* Yes, I missed that old Kanto role-play, its a shame I couldn't make the sign-up ;-; could I audition too?!

They had quickly entered the dining room and found a nice spot to sit, collecting they food and began to eat. Nina nibbled on some fries, giving a few to Tat, who happily munched, while Squirtle looked up at her with big, teary puppy dog eyes "Can I please have some?" she begged and Nina sighed before nodding, she had given up on trying to deny the fact that her Squirtle could talk, the Tiny Turtle was such a chatterbox, Squirtle cheering happily before she bounced into Nina's lap and helping her self with food off the girl's plate "You said some Squirtle, not my whole plate" Nina complained, giving the Squirtle a scolding look as she continued to scarf down her fries, inching her way towards the juicy looking burger "I didn't get to eat breakfast this morning cause of you, so the burger is mine" Nina then took two large bites from the sandwich before gulping it down and drinking some juice to unclog her wind pipe.

"Hey Nina... how come Tat gets a nickname and I don't?" the Squirtle gave her trainer a questioning glance and Nina scratched her cheek "B-Because I couldn't think of one... do you have anything in mind?" Squirtle nodded with a wide grin "Gale! I think it sounds pretty!" Nina blinked thoughtfully, unaware that Tat was helping himself to her half eaten burger, while those two were conversing, he'd eat his fill "I... I guess that's okay... alright then, your name is Gale" Gale gave a happy cry "Awesome!"

"Ah! That hits the spot! I had a case of the munchies!" Tai exclaimed while he munched eagerly on his food. A little kitten smile appearing on his face "Ah! I'm
revitalized" Tai had said glancing down at Charco and at the other two starters, he handed them each a food bowl and Gale happily took her bowl "Mmm I don't know what's better, this or the fries!" she heard Gale mutter around the food she was shoveling down her throat "Anyways, Guys. I was thinking, we should challenge the first gym right away!" Tai clenched his fist determined as a fire sparked in his eye.

"I dunno Tai, aren't we a bit to umm.. noobish to be challenging gyms so quickly, I mean Gale's only battle once" Nina murmured softly, glancing at her Squirtle, who was oblivious to this, still happily stuffing her self "Which is why I was thinking. There's a good training spot right outside of Viridian Forest. It's full of newer Pokémon, like Weedle and Spearow. Great place to meet trainers too." It didn't take long for everyone to finish eating, so after all was said and done and they had all gathered their things, Nina had recalled a well fed Tat back to his Pokéball, the Rattata had eaten his fill while everyone else was chatting. The trio exited the Center and began walking towards the outskirts of the city.

Gale nodded at something Charco had said while he was pointing "
Yeah, there sure are alotta trees" this caused Tai to huff and then sigh "ALRIGHT! LET'S GO!" He pointed dramatically. Nina felt beads sweat form on her brow, this boy was very enthusiastic and energetic, she leaned down towards Gale, whispering to the Squirtle "I think Tai needs to lay off the sweets, he's way to hyper" Gale giggled "I think he's funny, you should take a lesson from him miss I'm to shy" Nina stuck her tongue out at Gale, who just laughed and went back to walking with Charco and Bulbasaur.

"
HEY! YOU! GET OFFA MY PROPERTY!"

They didn't make it very far and that shout caused Tai to face fault, before they all whirled around, seeing an old, hunched man standing before him. "Who are you buddy?" Tai demanded, squinting at the man with distaste. Nina frowned, it wasn't nice to disrespect your elders "That was pretty ru--" she was about to speak up and scold him, but the old man beat her to it "Buddy? HOW DARE YOU INSULT ME LASS! GO GET ME SOME COFFEE! I NEED COFFEE!" question marks appeared over her and Edwin's head, while Tai sweatdropped immediately attempting to walk around the hunched, balding man, but the old guy tripped him with his cane.

"
Where are you going mister? This is my property! You hooligans get off it! RIGHT NOW!" The man stuck his face in Tai's and yelled. The blond hair boy rubbed his forehead and sat up, scowling. "We need to get to Viridian Forest-"

"
NO! How many times do I have to say it?!"

"
Oh father, stop being so pig brained!" A woman came up from behind the old man. She had black hair pulled back tightly into a bun and kind brown eyes. The old man sniffed, then walked off.

The girl smiled, then turned to the three trainers. "I'm sorry, my father lost his Weedle this morning, and we've been scouring the property for it. He's a little grumpy." Tai nodded. "It's alright. I'm Tai, Tai Sugimori." He extended his hand to the woman. Yolei giggled as she shook the trainer's hands, then turned to shake Tai's hand.

"I'm Nina" she said pointing to herself before pointing to Edwin "and this is Edwin" she felt a bit put off at the fact Tai didn't feel the need to introduce them, but she quickly got over it and smiled slightly at the woman "Nice to meet you. I'm Yolei Hatsuko. My father's name is Sesu." she gave a small smile before sighing "Well, I'm sorry to inconvenience you trainers, but I'm afraid you'll have to wait till Sesu's found Weedle." She sighed. Tai had glanced in Nina and Edwin's direction, huddling towards them and whispering "We should help Yolei and her father get her Weedle." Nina frowned slightly "I suppose we should... he obviously won't let us pass till he gets that bug.... or some coffee" she mumbled glancing at Edwin, before the tree agreed that they would help the old man.

"
Alright Yolei, we've decided to help look for Sesu's Weedle. It's the least we can do to get by…" The woman smiled brilliantly. "Really? Thank you so much! Let's started right away…"

The cafeteria was a rather nice place to be; polished, bright white tables coupled with circular pseudo-stools with thick wire backs; several condiment dispensers were at the far right of the room, and multiple Chansey as well as a few other humans were serving as cafeteria workers, handing out plates of steaming food - or hot food, as the case could be.

Edwin entered the line, excited already. He was rather hungry and he wanted to feed his Bulbasaur as well. Previously, it had communicated to him the need for foodstuffs rather civilly, and he was not about to let that change.

"Er, one bowl of gomokozushi, please." Edwin smiled brightly at the clueless employee, slightly nervous at every encounter. "As well as... a plate of gyoza and, ah... some Pokechow for my Pokemon, please." Utterly unnoticed by both parties was that he said please twice - rather unorthodox.

Grabbing their plates of food, the three beginning trainers sat down at an empty table meant to seat four people, and began to eat. Tai immediately started to munch, chew, and generally consume his food at an alarming rate.

"Ah! That hits the spot! I had a case of the munchies!" Tai managed to also speak and eat at the same time; shout, even. He appeared to be an optimist, Edwin noted. Then he actually considered what Tai had said, and replied, slightly amused; "The munchies?"

As the company noticed the growling stomachs of their Pokemon, they began to feed Pokechow to them. Bulbasaur slowly ate with amounts of decorum, while Charco ate with a little less and...

-Gale, was it now? No need to rush to eat.- The Bulbasaur remarked to the Squirtle.

Just then, Tai brought to the table the idea that they could challenge the first gym in Viridian. "Anyways, Guys. I was thinking, we should challenge the first gym right away!" To which Nina replied;
"I dunno Tai, aren't we a bit too... umm.. noobish to be challenging gyms so quickly, I mean Gale's only battled once."

"Which is why I was thinking. There's a good training spot right outside of Viridian Forest. It's full of newer Pokémon, like Weedle and Spearow. Great place to meet trainers too." Tai nodded and grinned.

"An excellent suggestion." Edwin thought it was so, sincerely. His Bulbasaur needed further training. He brought his spoon up for another pass over his soup bowl, reducing the surface a little more. The food was nice at the Pokemon Center, decently spiced and not at extreme temperatures.

-Edwin... shall we go? Your friends, as well as their Pokemon, are planning to leave.- Bulbasaur communicated.

"That... would be a good idea." Edwin stood up, and began to follow Tai and Nina out of the Pokemon Center, slowly walking to the outskirts of the Viridian City. The green city? Edwin wasn't sure of its etymology.

Tai, as dramatic as ever, pointed in such a fashion and shouted into the air. "ALRIGHT! LET'S GO!"

"HEY! YOU! GET OFFA MY PROPERTY!" An old man was shouting at Tai in return, Tai whirling around to face him. How did he sneak up on Tai anyway? Edwin was confused and amused at the same time.

"Who are you buddy?" Tai demanded.

"Hey... Tai... not a great start on conversation, there." Edwin chuckled, observing the situation quietly. Nina appeared to attempt to do the same by saying to Tai that it was "ru", but Edwin took to mean rude as she was cut off by the old man.

"Buddy? HOW DARE YOU INSULT ME LASS! GO GET ME SOME COFFEE! I NEED COFFEE!" The old man appeared to lack caffeine. Tai attempted to navigate around the old man, but failed miserably as he was tripped dextrously by the old man's cane in a lightning-fast motion.

"Where are you going mister? This is my property! You hooligans get off it! RIGHT NOW!" The man stuck his face in Tai's and yelled. Tai rubbed his forehead and sat up, scowling. "We need to get to Viridian Forest-"

"NO! How many times do I have to say it?!"

"Oh father, stop being so pig-brained!" A woman came up from behind the old man.

Tai appeared to be social, as opposed to himself, Edwin thought with a smile. Useful to know.

Yolei giggled as she shook the trainer's hands, then turned to shake Tai's hand. Nina introduced herself, and Edwin as well, it appears. Edwin took the time to introduce himself again.

"Greetings, miss. " Edwin shook her hand as well, momentarily placing his steel violin case on the ground.

"I suppose we should... he obviously won't let us pass till he gets that bug.... or some coffee" she mumbled glancing at Edwin, who nodded in unison with his Bulbasaur, although the other two trainers probably didn't notice it. Tai shot back up and looked at Yolei.

"Alright Yolei, we've decided to help look for Sesu's Weedle. It's the least we can do to get by…."

The woman smiled brilliantly. "Really? Thank you so much! Let's start right away…."

The three trainers, walking through a large field of tall grass and parting it earnestly, looked for the Weedle with a bell around its neck. Gee was whipping up gusts and blowing apart grass, with no success.

Tai wiped his forehead with the back of his hand, sighing. Just then, the faint odor of smoke filled the air.

"Argh! Charco!"

<SORRY! It's my tail! It gets in the way!>

The Charmander was standing beside a pile of smoking, blackened grass, his little tail in his hands, attempting not to do any more damage.

"It's alright buddy…." Tai stomped the grass out and led Charmander away from it. Gee rolled his eyes. He was surrounded by morons. While Tai and his pokemon were searching the west side of the field, Nina and Gale were searching the grass patches on the eastern side of the expansive field that was Mr. Sesu's property. Which leaves Edwin and Bulbasaur with the center area.

Gee sighed, perching on a particularly large stalk of grass, ruffling his feathers indignantly.

Tai looked up at his Pidgey and chuckled, then looked down and froze in his search.

"Uh……guys!?" Tai shouted for his companions.

<What is it?> Charco asked.

There was silence from Tai's end.

Grumbling, the Charmander wadded over to Tai and immediately assumed a shocked position as he saw what Tai had discovered. It was a smooth, shiny, rounded yellow bug. A Kakuna, with a bell around its neck.

"Shkiiks…." The Kakuna's dark pupils slid up to look at the humans looming above.

"ACK! It evolved!?!?!?!" Tai took out her pokedex eagerly.

The pokedex blipped slightly. "Kakuna, the Cocoon pokemon. This pokemon is known for its tough, outer shell. While in this form, Kakuna is preparing for its next evolution, and will not move so as to preserve energy."

"Edwin! Can you go get Sesu?" The boy asked, captivated by the bug pokemon. Charco grinned at the Kakuna,

<Hello! I'm Charco and this is my trainer Tai.>

The Kakuna seemed to roll its eyes as Tai proceeded to poke it with a stick.

<Tell your trainer to either stop poking me or face the wrath of a thousand poison needles in her face.>

The Charmander sweatdropped and smacked the stick from his trainers hands abruptly.

<Don't do that Tai! He doesn't like it!>

Tai's eyes widened. "Oh…okay…."

Gee smirked. <Heh, stupid human.>

"HEY! I HEARD THAT!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Suddenly, the hunchbacked old Sesu appeared where Edwin was and stuck his wrinkled face in Edwin's.
"HAVE YOU FOUND MY WEEDLE YET?!" Sesu was very loud and obnoxious, and after a reply from Edwin yelled even louder.
"WELL?! What are you WAITING FOR? Bring me to him!"
The trainer lead Sesu back to where Tai and Nina were, in the middle of the field. Sesu broke into a toothy grin, spotting the cocoon pokemon on the ground, resting lightly against Tai's stomach. "My dear Weedle evolved? Incredible! I hope it-"
But the old man never got to finish his sentence. A large, sturdy net was thrown over Tai, Nina, Edwin, and the pokemon, immediately closing the ropey bonds around the group tightly.
Tai's face contorted with shock. "What the-"
Sesu stepped back, looking scared. "What is this? A trap?"
"A trap he says….how dare he infer that we are trapping something." A raspy voice came from the shadows behind a tree, and stepped forward. It was a man with long, light green hair, his eyes the color of blood and narrow, adorned in the classic Team Rocket attire.
"Oh, don't be so harsh. An old man and children, we could have done better…." A smooth, high, girly voice came from a woman with bright pink hair in two ponytails with elaborate curls, her eyes a deep cerulean. She wore the Team Rocket outfit as well, and she was the one who held the net shooter gun in her hands.
Tai snarled across at them. "Unless you people want trouble, let us out of here."
The woman laughed, then walked over and reached through the net, grabbing Tai under the chin and forcing him to look at her.
"Our names are Jane and Luther. We're highly respected members of Team Rocket, and our boss was waiting for you three to leave your sniveling hometown….He'd like a word with you."
"Tell you're boss he can go to hell." Tai spat on her face, the spit sliding down her cheek. Jane's smile faded rapidly and she hit him violently, then wiped the liquid off of her skin, stepping back and bringing out a pokeball.
She looked back at Luther and snarled orders. "Let's get out of here. Go, MAROWAK! Drag the net now!"
"Maro!" Marowak smirked, then picked up the ends of the net, hauled it over his shoulders, and proceeded to walk away.
Luther grunted. "Let's just be sure there are no eyewitnesses. Go, Hypno!"
The large yellow pokemon with blank eyes and the yo yo faced Sesu.
Luther quietly commanded the Hypno. "Use Hypnosis."
Hypno swung its pendulum back and forth, and muttered under its breath.
Sesu tried to fight it….But too late. Sleep over took him, and he sunk to the ground with a loud thud. Tai felt the effects too, and soon, he was falling into the dark, deep depths of slumber.
The Team Rocket members looked at each other.
"Mission accomplished." Jane smirked...
The trio walked through a large field of tall grass, parting it enthusiastically, searching for a Weedle with a bell around its neck. They had all decided to split up and search around for the bug, Tai and Charco were on the west side of the field, and Edwin and Bulbasaur were searching in the center, while she and Gale took to the west. Nina glanced back at Tai, watching him use his Pidgey to whip up a few gusts, and blow away grass, he had little success however. "That gives me an idea!" she pulled out a Pokéball, tossing it to the ground "Tat, I need your assistance!"
Her Rattata popped out, giving a happy cry "Tatta!" Nina filled the clueless purple mouse in on what was taking place "We're looking for a Weedle Tat, it has a bell around its neck" Tat looked up at her in confusion "Tatta?" Gale decided to elaborate, since Nina couldn't understand "He asked what a Weedle looked like…"
"Oh!" Pulling out her Pokédex, Nina scanned through the electronic encyclopedia, grinning slightly when she pulled up the picture. Weedle was a small, yellow Larva Pokémon with a segmented body. It had little pink feet and a pink, round nose, also a stinger on both its tail and head "This is what we're looking for" she told Tat, who nodded and began searching, dashing through the grass, looking for the bug.
"Gah, about 10 minutes have passed and we've come up short" Nina grumbled as she halted her search for the Weedle, Gale nodded along with her, sighing from beside her Trainer, while Tat munched happily on a Riceball "Where's you get that" Nina asked glancing at her Rattata suspiciously, the mouse mumbled happily from around its food and she looked towards Gale, who shook her head "Tat said he swiped it from the woman's bag…"
"Tat, that's not nice"
The Rattata didn't reward her with a response, he just kept on nibbling until he finished the tasty snack, just in time too, cause Tai was soon calling them over "Uh…… guys!?" Nina stopped rolling her eyes at her greedy Rattata and glanced briefly over at Tai before motioning her two Pokémon to follow "C'mon you two, I think Tai found it" they then ran across the field, over towards Tai.
"Did you find it Tai" she asked once she and Edwin were alongside him. He didn't responded and Nina peered at him curiously, following his gaze downward, there in the grass was a yellow, cone-shaped cocoon Pokémon, it had a dome-shaped head and black, triangular eyes. A Tiny bell looped by a thin string was around its neck.
Nina pulled out her Pokédex and scanned it.
Kakuna
The Cocoon Pokémon
Kakuna, a transitional stage between Weedle and Beedrill. Kakuna's remain inactive until they evolve into deadly Beedrill's and hatch.
"Shkiiks…." The Kakuna's dark pupils slid up to look at the humans looming above.
"ACK! It evolved!?!?!?!" Tai took out his Pokédex eagerly and scanned it as well.
The Pokédex blipped slightly. "Kakuna, the Cocoon Pokémon. This Pokémon is known for its tough, outer shell. While in this form, Kakuna is preparing for its next evolution, and will not move so as to preserve energy."
"Edwin! Can you go get Sesu?" He had asked, seemingly captivated by the bug Pokémon, while Edwin had walked off to go get Sesu. Charco grinned at the Kakuna and Nina noted Tai's Charmander was very friendly "What'd he say" Nina asked Gale, lightly scratching Tat behind the ear, the mouse purred in content from her shoulder "Taaaa"
"Charco introduced himself" Gale murmured back and a few chitters later, she spoke up again "And Kakuna has become irritated with Tai poking it with a stick and threatened to use Poison Sting on his face if he didn't stop" Gale, Nina and Tat sweated while they watched the poke the bug with a stick… he was very…
Odd.
"I think that boy needs help" Gale snorted lightly, watching as Charco smacked the stick away and warning Tai not to agitate it any further, they watched as his eyes widened considerably in realization, before he responded "Oh… okay…." His Pidgey spoke up and Gale told Nina that the Pidgey called Tai stupid, this caused her to giggle slightly when he yelled back at the bird, who seemed to be smirking.
After a few moments of waiting, Edwin had finally reappeared, with the old man Sesu in tow, he broke into a wide smile upon spotting the evolved Weedle, that now rested against Tai who was extremely eager to carry it "My dear Weedle evolved? Incredible! I hope it—" Old man Sesu however had been cut off, because a large net was thrown over the trio of trainers and their Pokémon, bounding them tightly upon closing. Surprise and shock flitted across the three's face, while Tai was the first to shout "What the—!"
Sesu on the other hand took a fearful step back, unused to things like this. Net's coming out of nowhere, capturing innocent kids and their Pokémon who did they think they were? Jessie, James and Meowth? "What is this? A trap?"
"A trap he says….how dare he infer that we are trapping something." A raspy voice came from the shadows behind a tree, and stepped forward. It was a man with long, light green hair, his eyes the color of blood and narrow, adorned in the classic Team Rocket attire.
"Oh, don't be so harsh. An old man and children, we could have done better…." A smooth, high, girly voice came from a woman with bright pink hair in two ponytails with elaborate curls, her eyes a deep cerulean. She wore the Team Rocket outfit as well, and she was the one who held the net shooter gun in her hands.
Tai snarled at them. "Unless you people want trouble, let us out of here."
The woman laughed, then walked over and reached through the net, grabbing Tai under the chin and forcing him to look at her. "Our names are Jane and Luther. We're highly respected members of Team Rocket, and our boss was waiting for you three to leave your sniveling hometown…He'd like a word with you."
"Tell you're boss he can go to hell." Tai spat on her face, the spit sliding down her cheek. Jane's smile faded rapidly and she hit him violently, then wiped the liquid off of her skin, stepping back and bringing out a Pokéball and tossing it down.
Nina's eyes went wide as she watched Tai spit on the older woman, he was so bold, to do something like that, she on the other hand was slightly shaken, unsure of why any boss of a crime organization would want her, plus she wasn't used to this kind of thing, she hugged Tat closely and hoped whatever those evil people had planned to do would hurry up and do it, but she applauded Tai for being so brave, the woman looked pissed, thought she couldn't blame her… spitting on someone was just down right disgusting and rude!
Nina inwardly hoped they wouldn't kill Tai, or them, for his act of defiance.
"Tai! Are you alright!?" she glanced at him with worried eyes as he nodded and rubbed at his cheek, where Jane had struck him.
Jane looked back at Luther and snarled orders. "Let's get out of here. Go, MAROWAK! Drag the net now!"
"Maro!" Marowak smirked evilly and then picked up the ends of the net, hauling it over his shoulders, and proceeded to walk away. Due to the sudden shift below their feet, the once standing trio were now flat on their behinds, being dragged away by a husky looking Marowak. Nina bit her lip and clutched Tat, and Gale who had crawled into her lap, tightly, she had a bad feeling about this.
Luther grunted. "Let's just be sure there are no eyewitnesses. Go, Hypno!" he called out to a Yellow colored a bipedal human-like Pokémon, it had two fairly cat-like ears on the top of its head and two very sleepy looking eyes with a giant nose underneath. On its neck, is a mane of white fur and has five fingers on each hand and three toes on each foot. It was holding a pendulum in one hand, the pendulum ominously face Sesu.
Luther quietly commanded the Hypno. "Use Hypnosis."
Its eyes were blank and it swung the pendulum back and forth in front of Sesu, softly chanting "Hypno. Hypno. Hypno."
Sesu tried to fight it, tying to stay awake, he couldn't fall for its tricks! But it was too late, the need to sleep over powered his senses and he sunk to the ground with a loud thud. Nina glanced at Tai and Edwin, noticing their eyes were drooping, she bit back a yawn, she was beginning to feel the effects too "Yaahhhwn Nina, I'm gettin kinda sleepy" Gale murmured rubbing briefly at her eyes before snuggling against her trainer, with Tat mimicing Gale's movements, this caused Nina's eyes to widen before she gasped, lightly shaking her Squirtle "N-No! Gale! Tat!You have to stay awake! We must…" she trailed off, her thoughts were slowly drifting, noting that the Pokémon were all snoozing soundly Nina's eyes began to droop as well, so groaned softly before allowing herself to succumb to the might of the swinging pendulum, only able to catch Jane's triumphant response about their sleep before she zonked out.
"Mission accomplished."
The three trainers, walking through a large field of tall grass and parting it earnestly, looked for the Weedle with a bell around its neck. Tai's Pidgey, named Gee, was using Gust on the surrounding grass to no avail other than whipping it up in a whirlwind.
Suddenly, the acrid smell of burning grass entered Edwin's nostrils, along with a stinging sensation felt by his eyes. Glancing forward, he saw that Tai was speaking with his Charmander, Charco, probably about the patch of burnt grass by the Charmander's side. His Bulbasaur shook its head, exasperated about the lack of discipline displayed by his comrade.
Within several minutes, they began to search the fields. Since Tai was assigned to the western parts and Nina to the eastern, Edwin was delegated the task of attempting the search in the centre field. His part was mostly uneventful, as he brushed through the sweet-smelling greens of Sesu's property. Bulbasaur trotted along after him in a slow walk, scanning the surroundings for any signs of suspicious activity.
"Uh……guys!?" That was Tai calling. Has he found the Weedle yet? Edwin wondered, not overly caring, still slowly daydreaming among the plants. Bulbasaur pushed against Edwin's leg, signaling that his full attention was necessary.
"Huh? Alright." Edwin began the walk towards Tai. As he arrived, he saw that a yellow shell with a bell around its… neck? was the object of Tai's curiosity. Grabbing his Pokedex, he hurriedly scanned the Pokemon at the same time as Nina and Tai did the same.
"Edwin! Can you go get Sesu?" The boy asked, captivated by the bug pokemon.
"Wait… me? Alright…" Edwin began to stride at a faster pace, Bulbasaur breaking into a faster walk to catch up with him. "Come on, then."
Suddenly, Sesu appeared in front of him. How'd he do that? Edwin thought to himself, amazed. But before he could speak, the old man did it preemptively first.
"HAVE YOU FOUND MY WEEDLE YET?!" Sesu was slightly on the loud side. Perhaps he could be just a little less obnoxiously voicing his concerns. But one would suppose, Edwin thought, that he had more than enough cause to be angry after losing his Weedle. At the same time, though, he was unnerved by Sesu's volume.
"Er… we've found him; or rather… um… Tai did, sir." A rather weak reply, Edwin supposed, but most of his replies were like that before he had the conviction to embark on this journey to become more confident. After all, all good musicians were confident, and you had to learn that somewhere. He'll do better later.
"WELL?! What are you WAITING FOR? Bring me to him!" Sesu appeared to be happier than mere seconds before, but impatient too; and Edwin wordlessly led Sesu to the Kakuna, resting against Tai.
Sesu immediately grinned when he saw his Kakuna. "My dear Weedle evolved? Incredible! I hope it-" He didn't have time to finish the sentence.
A huge net flew from above, a dark crisscrossed shadow descending upon them. A few seconds later, it had all of the trainers under the net as well as their Pokemon.
Tai's face contorted with shock. "What the-"
Sesu stepped back, looking scared. "What is this? A trap?"
"A trap he says….how dare he infer that we are trapping something." A raspy voice came from the shadows behind a tree, and stepped forward. It was a man with long, light green hair, his eyes the color of blood and narrow, adorned in the classic Team Rocket attire.
A smooth, high, girly voice came from a woman with bright pink hair in two ponytails with elaborate curls, her eyes a deep cerulean. She wore the Team Rocket outfit as well, and she was the one who held the net shooter gun in her hands.
Tai snarled across at them. "Unless you people want trouble, let us out of here."
"Ah… not such a good idea, Tai." Edwin whispered.
The woman laughed, then walked over and reached through the net, grabbing Tai under the chin and forcing him to look at her. "Our names are Jane and Luther. We're highly respected members of Team Rocket, and our boss was waiting for you three to leave your sniveling hometown…He'd like a word with you."
"Tell you're boss he can go to hell." Tai spat on her face, the spit sliding down her cheek. Jane's smile faded rapidly and she hit him violently, then wiped the liquid off of her skin, stepping back and bringing out a Pokéball and tossing it down.
"Well… let's see what happens next. Tai's ruining the situation to no end already… not altogether so good an idea, as I've said before." Edwin brushed a sweatdrop off his forehead, noticeably worried. Tai was obviously defiant, but that wasn't necessarily a good thing. He needs to slow down a little and calm before they can escape unnoticed – if that were possible.
"Tai! Are you alright!?" Nina glanced at Tai with worried eyes as he nodded and rubbed at his cheek, where Jane had struck him.
"I think he's fine, Nina. He doesn't have any serious injuries that I can see, though I do hope that he doesn't suffer too much. " Edwin stated his opinion on the matter discreetly, hoping that the Team Rocket members didn't notice too much.
Jane looked back at Luther and snarled orders. "Let's get out of here. Go, MAROWAK! Drag the net now!"
"Maro!" Marowak smirked evilly and then picked up the ends of the net, hauling it over his shoulders, and proceeded to walk away. Due to the sudden shift below their feet, the once standing trio were now flat on their behinds, being dragged away by a husky looking Marowak. Edwin sat there, slightly uncomfortable, but unmoving. It was probably better to wait until they had a chance of doing anything.
Luther grunted. "Let's just be sure there are no eyewitnesses. Go, Hypno!" he called out to a Yellow colored a bipedal human-like Pokémon, it had two fairly cat-like ears on the top of its head and two very sleepy looking eyes with a giant nose underneath. Sesu tried to fight it, tying to stay awake, he couldn't fall for its tricks! But it was too late, the need to sleep over powered his senses and he sunk to the ground with a loud thud. Averting the pendulum with his eyes as Tai and Nina gradually were falling asleep, Edwin found himself yawning slightly as well. Bulbasaur was doing the same, but they could not help against the force of the sleep-inducing waves and they drifted into darkness.
But not before they saw Jane's triumphant smile and heard her last sentence.
"Mission accomplished."
