Welcome to the World of Pokemon!​

"The islands rose above the sea, and after the crystalline heart split into three, life began to bloom. ​

As Mew flew about the world, birthing her children, the legendary pokemon of the world that regarded her as mother, the universe was formed by that family of myths. Kyogre raised the seas, Groudon brought mountains and more land, Rayquazza purified the air and wove clouds. Lugia took to the depths of the oceans, creating powerful tides bound to the moon and life in the deepest regions, while Ho-oh flew alongside Rayquazza, carving out the path the sun would take in the following eternity. Heatran took his place in the volcanoes, guarding over the deepest fissures of the world, while Cresselia, the pokemon of good dreams, rode the moon and helped it to wane and wax in its very first cycle of birth. ​

Last but not least, Palkia was given the dimension of expanding space to watch over, while Dialga was give totalitarian rule over time in the universe. Giratina, the Renegade pokemon, was granted the realm of the dead, where the spirits of the world would soon reside after discarding their mortal bodies. ​

When the world was shaped sufficiently, Mew took essences of the universe and created her equals. Celebi blossomed forth from the essence of time-travel, Jirachi was born from the essence of the stars, and Shaymin originated from the essence of peace. ​

Then, people came.​

With people, the three sprites of knowledge, emotion, and willpower burst forth from an egg laid by Mew, who prevented the three from leaving the shell until humans were among them. Azelf, Mesprit, and Uxie began their work improving the condition of human life and promoting friendship between people and pokemon. When the bonds were firmly set, the three took to a deep sleep inside three respective lakes in the Sinnoh region, leaving destiny to unfurl itself.​

With the goodness came the darkness, and Giratina, with the help of Mew, later created a follower, known as Darkrai. Darkrai's charge was to give nightmares to humans, to balance the light with shadow. Giratina became the god of death, and Darkrai was his earthly reaper. ​

Then came the guardians of Kanto and Johto, the bird and dog trio, along with Hoenn's golem trio. Sinnoh had Azelf, Mesprit and Uxie, who were sleeping, and the four continents were balanced and harmonious as humanity began to slowly bloom. ​

With humans, came Latias and Latios, the messengers of the legendaries to humans, they could bend light to assume the form of humans and therefore communicate with them, helping history along its course and favoring cities with old buildings and art and beauty. ​

With humans, came Mewtwo. The emergence of Mewtwo was not unexpected, at the beginning of creation, Shaymin gave a prophecy that her rule of peace would one day be shattered with the birth of Mew's clone. Because the legendaries knew they had to be prepared for Mewtwo, they held a council and created the Point of Divinity system and molded the Child and Elder gene for humans to bear. ​

But from this council arose disagreements, and the harmony once known during the time of creation was shattered. Kyogre and Groudon loathed one another, wanting to duel to the death, and Rayquazza was charged with keeping them apart. Darkrai and Cresselia, one born of nightmares and the other of good dreams, scorned each other, and fled to opposite ends of Sinnoh in order to avoid one unwanted contact. Palkia and Dialga believed themselves to be above the others, for they ruled over the universe, and they took to their respective dimensions. Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos began to dislike the ideas of one another, and isolated themselves across Kanto. Lugia and Ho-oh were destined to hate each other, just as the sun chases the moon and eats it whole, the moon will grow again only to be eaten. After a cataclysmic battle, Lugia took to the deepest sea of Johto, and Ho-oh alighted atop the tallest tower in the land, choosing to be revered by the humans. ​

Mewtwo, even before he was born, had sowed the seeds of hatred. ​

Mew knew that the Point of Divinity was their only weapon against hate, and so propagated Children and Elders among humans for decades.​

If the legendaries couldn't be at peace…​

Pokemon Basics:

Pokemon Trainers:

At the age of eleven, any person can obtain their Training License from designated distributors. A Training License allows a person to legally own and battle Pokemon.

Once a year, Pokemon trainers can enlist in a Pokemon league. Official League battles are any battles that take place between two members of the league. Gym battles, Invitational, major tournaments, etc usually televised. Once a year, the championship tournament is held, where trainers with at least eight gym badges compete to be recognized as the best trainer in the league. Unless previously agreed otherwise, official league battles are six-on-six, free substitution. The exception to this is Gym Leaders in gym battles, who are not allowed substitution.

Pokeballs: The basic tool for any Pokemon Trainer is the Pokeball. Since the invention of the Pokeball their have been a few modifications to it.

Pokeball/Monsterball: The original model, transparent red top, solid white bottom. It doesn't have any perks to it, just a plain pokeball.

Greatball/Superball: This model is an enhanced model from the original ball, it has an enhanced capture rate. A transparent blue top with small red stripes on it with a solid white bottom.

Ultraball/Hyperball: This is the highest capture rate enhanced model of the pokeball arsenal. These pokeballs usually host rare pokemon to ensure their capture. Transparent black top with a yellow "H" on it and a solid white bottom.

Safariball: This is a special model that is used only in a designated Safari Zone for special captures in the premises of the park. This is the most manufactured model of them all, due to the fact that a host designates a trainer twenty Safariballs for their game. It has a transparent camouflage top with a solid white bottom.

Cities and Towns

Pallet Town: Welcome to your home: Pallet Town. The small township is located in the southern part of Kanto, surrounded on all sides by light forest and the ocean to the south. Though you will stray far from home while exploring Kanto and becoming a Pokemon Master, this place will always remain special.

Viridian City: Viridian City is the biggest township you have visited yet. The city has its own Gym, which is where you must go to prove yourself as a Pokemon Trainer. Although you cannot compete in the Viridian Gym just yet (Patience Young Trainer) explore the rest of the town.

Pewter City: Pewter City is home to the first Gym you can compete in- against Gym Leader Brock. After touring this pleasant little burg, head for the Gym and prove yourself against this accomplished Trainer. Emerge victorious and you are well on your way to becoming a Pokemon Master.

Cerulean City: Your next stop, Cerulean City, lies along the north of Kanto. After passing through the rocky straits, you come to this quiet community, complete with its own Gym.

Vermillion City: Vermillion City is situated at the south end of the long series of Underground Roads. The city hosts its own Gym, in which you must compete if you want to earn the necessary talents to progress deep into Kanto. Check out all of the town's features, such as the Pokemon Fan Club and the luxurious S.S. Anne. Didn't Bill give you a ticket for a boat ride?

Lavender Town: Lavender, a small town at the mouth of the Dark Cave, is home to the Pokemon Tower. This small town hosts a tower where Pokemon are buried and are grieved over. There is a legend of ghosts haunting the tower, but its all just rumors…right?

Celadon City After trailing through yet another Underground Road you come to Celadon City, too bad Saffron is blocked, it would be much faster! Celadon City is one of the major Kanto metropolises complete with Gym and a Giant Pokemart! After your done sight-seeing take a gander at the gymleader- Erika the Grass Mistress.

Fuchsia City: Located near the southern coast, Fuchsia City is a small town nestled on the flatland. Though the city is very isolated from the other cities, it still boats many modern conveniences, such as a Pokemart and pokemon center, as well as a gym in the town's south. And probably the most visited spot in all of Kanto, the Safari Zone!

Saffron City: If Saffron City isn't one of the biggest cities in Kanto, at least it's the business capital of Kanto. The Saffron City Silph Co. Building is a monument to the hard work put into many technological advances in Kanto. But lately, there's something odd about that building. Try out the Pokemon Dojo Gym to fight some cool karate guys, and of course there's always the Saffron Gym!

Cinnabar Island: Cinnabar Island is an island town to the south-western of Kanto's main landmass. The island is home to the Cinnabar Gym, and Kanto's Pokemon Research Facilities, the building where Pokemon Cell Research is being done. And something's amiss in the abandoned Mansion, better go check it out!

Indigo Plateu:Locate in the center of a large plain, the Indigo Plateu, where Pokemon Trainers aspire to take on the Pokemon League Championship. Once you prove yourself worthy by coming up victorious in the League Competition you can take on another trainer in the Finals!

Rules
1) Please use legible writing during this roleplay. You only have to write one to two paragraphs [two being preferred] in each post and you MUST have legible writing to join in. If you don't have legible writing, you won't be allowed to join. [this is only because your posts might be incomprehensible, so make sure you can type on here!]
2) Only Slight Godmodding/Power Playing! You may slightly powerplay with another person's character, but don't take COMPLETE control of another's character. You can take complete control of another character, but this applies only to if you're unable to be on a computer or your character has the able to control other people or their actions. However, there is absolutely no godmoding whatsoever!
3) Please don't make a mary-sue or gary-stu and put them in the RP. Give your characters some flaws, don't make them the brother or sister of a canon character, and just make them human! There aren't going to be any supernatural beings in this RP, so don't turn them into some weird creature; supernatural powers are allowed, but not supernatural beings.
4) Only one shiny on your team. You are allowed only one Shiny Pokemon in your team at a time. You can catch a few Shiny Pokemon, but not too many. And you can only have ONE of them in your main party.
5) You are not allowed to have a legendary pokemon! You are not able to catch or allow legendaries into your team. Only under special conditions can these legendaries enter your team.
6) If you are leaving for awhile inform me first via PM. This is to prevent large blanks in the rpg, and to let me know you haven't lost interest and dropped the rpg.
7) Kanto Pokémon only on your team. This is a major rule, you are only allowed to have Kanto Pokemon Species in your team! That is Numbers 001-151, excluding the legendaries.
8) Please Obey ALL Rules. This is very improtant, please follow of these listed rules plus more rules. Such as, when we enter a new areas I will post what Pokemon appear and hoe often they do, do not make something that isn't supposed to be there appear! Also, your Pokemon's attacks are learned according to Platinum version. You can be in charge of when they learn what attacks, just please make it believable. Dont go,
"Charmander, use Blast Burn! Then Fire Blast! ZOMG, your evolving!"
Evolving is also in the same matter, make them evolve in a believable manner.

If this isn't in your post, you will be asked to post it and, if you don't post it at all, you're not in the RP. Appearance: Iris looks quite delicate at first glance, only weighing around 110 pounds at 5"3 and just the overall petite structure of her body. Her hair falling a natural elegant silver with her pale white skin, her most captivating feature is a red and green eyes and is usually the first thing people notice about Iris and her twin sister. Her basic attire consists of a short long-sleeved, black dress that ends about mid-thigh length with an embroidery of pink frills, shoe wise she wears some black sandles to top off her attire and very rarely she'll wear a black cape. Pajama wise she wears some dark fuzzy pajama pants with ghastlys on it and a deep purple long sleeved pajama shirt. Iris rarely wears a bathing suit due to the fact that her skin burns so easily but if she does it's a blue-stripped two piece swimsuit.

Accesories: The only accesory has to speak of is a gold ring given to her by her sister Lily, while Lily carries a silver ring.

Personality: Iris' personality at first may come off shy and quiet but she is more reserved then anything due to teachings that were taught to her early in life. Despite being reserved she is also quite gentle and caring wanting to come to anyone's aid unless they have harmed someone close to her or Iris. She also has a philosophy that everyone is generally good but their decisions are not which often leads her to be to trusting of people and end up being lied too which brings up the fact that she is extremely gullible and will believe almost anything.

She is extremely blunt about people as well. Rather than pointing out a flaw in a mean or sugar-coated manner she makes odd analogies about them such as "You've got the temper of a Primeape", or "You eat as much as a Snorlax."

But Iris also has her own personal flaws. She tends to be a bit sneaky about some of the things she does. Either trying to hide it, deny it, or just flat out lie about it. Many of these things are trivial things that typically do not lie about and would gladly feel like sharing but to Iris she justifies it as its her business and her business alone.

Iris has several odd quirks to her as well. For one thing she fails horribly at cooking. No matter how hard she tries she can never make anything other than already made instant meals. Another particular quirk is she is extremely afraid of the paranormal and has done anything to block a faint 6th sense she has for the supernatural. A final personality quirk she has is she is extremely knowledgeable of flowers. She can easily name hundreds of different flower species by glancing at them.

History: Born to a wealthy family in France with her twin sister Lily who were named after flowers as tradition for girls in her family. Iris grew up learning the ways of being a lady even though she was not the heir to her families fortune she was expected to know how to behave in public as reserved as possible. She learned to put on false smiles for crowds who came to see the family who an one of the most successful flower franchises in France.

School life was extremely tedious for Iris and Lily. They were expected to learn how to play musical instruments, know many famous poems, and other fine arts along with knowing English and French.

Iris and Lily were relatively young when her parents discovered their talent for singing. When their parents found out singing practice was added to their list of subjects to do. Overloaded with work and no one to help them the two girls felt suffocated. They could only watch as they were hauled down with work while their brother was being trained to be the soul heir to the families fortune which eventually took it's tole on him as well.

One day at age 5 the stress of life took it's tole and Iris and Lilies brother collapsed one day while studying. e was rush to the hospital and told he had stress-induced ulcers. With this their parents realized that they were bushing their children far to harshly and moved all of them to the quiet town of Pallet where Iris' father a complex business man could run his business at home and their emotionally drained mother could regain herself. Iris and Lilies brother was in and out of the hospital for months to come and home life was often hectic for the family. Because of this hectic lifestyle the twins grew to rely on each other. Iris looked to Lily for emotional support and help while Lily looked to Iris for friendship and company. They relied on each other throughout their childhood.

Things became much easier after moving to Pallet. The twins workload decreased and they were able to live like children. At 10 years old when the two were walking home from getting ice cream a black van pulled up, opened up and two men dressed in black tried to grab the two. Lily desperately fought off their attackers but her efforts were futile. The last thing Lily would do before vanishing of the face of the Earth was save her sister from being kidnapped.

With the disappearance of her sister Iris became withdrawn from the world and her parents became paranoid that Iris would be kidnapped so withdrew her from public school and began home schooling her once again. Iris spent many a day alone in her room thinking about how to find her sister until one day an add on the t.v. advertised 3 Pokemon being given away by Professor Oak for next years Pokemon League Championships.

Iris was quick to ask her parents to go on a long trip around the region. Much to her parents protesting ,especially her mother, they finally wore down and allowed her to go on the trip. Iris 'forgot' to mention that it would be a Pokemon journey though and with her parents consent she would set out on her journey. Willing to do almost anything to find her sister.

Rescued from several poachers, Yoko is one of the more elegant members of Iris' party but because of her bad experience with humans due to her abnormal coloring she is quick to distrust any human apart from Iris.

The baby of her team, Bell was given to her by Starla who bred her Eevee with a Ditto. Bell is always energetic and often gullable which always leads to some interesting situations. Bell isn't very strong in battle so Iris often treats her more as a pet rather than a battling partner which is just fine with Bell because she loves all the spoiling Iris gives her.

Ignis came with Yoko. This Arcaine is quick to protect Yoko and quickly joined Iris' team for Yoko's sake. Iris often believes Ignis has a crush on Yoko and will do anything for her sake. Ignis is extremely loyal but like Yoko can be quite distrusting and unlike Yoko he has a temper.

Crescent is the mischievous one of Iris' party and is quick to pull pranks on others. She often laughs at others misfortune but in all truth cares deeply for her friends and is quick to defend them if need be.

The calm, cool and collective one, Specter has a cool head at all times. Thanks to his ghostly abilities Specter can serve as a spying Pokemon or with hypnosis in its array of moves a Pokemon that can hypnotize people to make them sleep so Iris can get something done without anyone knowing.

No one knows where it comes from, and no one knows how to cure it. You are doomed to a horrible fate worse than death if you succumb to this disease. And sadly I am succumbing to this abomination. Even now, I can feel my humanity slipping away.....

This was found in a page of a lost diary that was recently discovered in an archeological dig. The meaning is unknown and it is believed that the man was dying of tuberculosis since that disease ran ramped in those days and the page was stained with blood. So it was stowed away never to be read again if only they had listened to the warning..

Congratulations, you've finally come of age to get your first Pokémon, why don't you go see Professor Rowan to get it? Your sure to have an exciting adventure!

This is what the post card you receive in the mail says. You are finally old enough to get your first Pokémon and start your journey to become the best Trainer/Coordinator/Breeder ever. Excited, you begin to pack your things almost forgetting to tell your parents but as your packing you begin to feel weaker and weaker. Your breathing grows hoarse and faster and you collapse and are rushed to the local hospital.

When you awake the doctor is by your bedside with a solemn look on his face and a saddened look on your parents. Your mother is crying and your father is trying to keep back the tears. You look at them blankly.

"We are sorry but...you only have 6 months to live." The doctor says. You look at him in disbelief but he only hands you a book with the words "Mutuwar hauka Syndrome" on it.

"It's very rare..only one in every 7million will have it. Normally...but there has been a spike in cases recently...Many children your age are developing this Syndrome." The doctor says to you. The doctor leaves the room. Your parents are weeping the corner, especially your mother but they to eventually leave the room.

With everyone gone you open the book and begin to skim through the pages.

"Mutuwar hauka better known as Brain Rotting Syndrome.

First discovered in 1980 Mutuwar hauka is a brain disorder that causes the brain to work on overdrive until it literally begins to shut down. Survival rate is slim to none if any at all. The victims brain while on overdrive begins to secrete chemicals in higher amounts causing extreme chemical imbalances and eventually plunges the victim into a state of psychopathy until their brain shuts down and they die. Scientists have identified 3 stages of this disease

1st Stage - Patient exhibits no clinical signs of the disease, they may begin to feel weak and experience Anemia and breathing may hasten occasionally. The victim also begins to exhibit super human strength and speed because the disease is forcing adrenaline to be released in large amounts. This stage lasts 1 month.

2nd Stage - The patient begins to exhibit panic attacks, insomnia, and hallucinations although they still are able to keep their emotions in check. Frequent fainting spells and nightmares are possible. This stage lasts 3 months.

3rd Stage - The final stage is true torture. The victim has descended into full scale psychopathy and can grow violent. Extreme hallucinations occur along with complete loss of social skills. The victim looses all sense of right and wrong and can attack anyone or anything. Eventually the brain shuts down and the patient dies in a final hallucination.

No cure is known. Scientists are helpless to stop it because the disease is in the very inner recesses of the brain. Any surgery that has been tried has inevitably caused the death of the patient.

But all hope is not lost! Rumor has it that the Pokémon League has a special cure for the syndrome just in case. Rumor or not you've got to at least try!

The problem is, you must get to the Elite Four in under six months or else you're as good as dead. So in the dead of night you rip the hospital cords off your arms and escape out the window.

It truly is a race against time to be the best.

That isn't the end of your problems though, a new evil team is rising from the depths of Sinnoh, Team Necron. This team isn't after legendaries like Dialga or Palkia, they are a biological warfare team. They have no interest in capturing legendaries for their purposes. They are after the kids who have been diagnosed with Brain Rotting Syndrome and have been kidnapping them. No one knows where they disappear but rumor is they kill the them and harvest the disease while it still survives in the brain. They have no respect for the innocent lives they've destroyed, they only care about starting a biological war for their own purposes.

It's a race against time to stop Team Necron and become the champion. The consequences for you aren't like normal kids who want to walk the road of being a champion. You fail. You lose your life. Good luck, you'll need it.

Hair Style: Century's bangs are always swept to the side of his head, making his eyes visible. His semi-thin medium length hair covers his ears, and is generally all over shaggy.
Eye Color: Blue
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 109 lbs.
Body Structure: Century's a normal size for his age, thin and on the edge of having muscles but not quite at that point. His legs are muscular and he can sprint long distances but other than that he is pretty average.
Basic Clothing: Century is handsome in the way that could draw you in, for better or for worse. He stands in at 5'2", not extremely tall for his age, but not short either. He feels rather tall, even thought many people are a bit taller than him, but he doesn't mind. He has jet black hair, which smoothly comes over his left eye as all his hair that comes down onto his forehead is pushed to his left, creating a bit of a fringe effect. He has sharp blue eyes, which can seemingly see right through people who fake themselves, as Century has a bit of a knack for that. Underneath his right eye, a deep scar is embedded into the semi-tanned flesh of Century.

Judging by his average build, you would think he would be on a pokemon adventure, as his average build would make him seem like a good candidate for an adventure. However, his build is rarely seem, as Century is usually seen in a black leather jacket, with a right breast pocket. Underneath his jacket is a shirt of his choosing, usually something in white, so it makes his outfit look more co-ordinated. He usually carries a black backpack which is slung over both of his shoulders full of supplies and food for both him and his pokemon. Over his shirt, a silver chain is visible. A plastic pendant in the shape and color of a Boulder Badge hangs from it, something with some significant meaning to it to Century. On the inside left side of his coat are holsters for his pokeballs. His pants are usually always ripped acid washed blue jeans, with large tears in the knees and a small tear on the right hamstring. His pair of black sneakers finish his outfit, worn with time.
Pajamas: A pair of black sweatpants.
Bathing Suit: Just a pair of black trunks.
Accessories: A metal necklace with a plastic boulder badge hanging off of it.
Personality: Century isn't one for too many words. He will certainly carry on a conversation, but he will never let on about himself without persuasion. He knows when enough is enough, and tries to stay away from talking about himself, as he doesn't want to be figured out. He goes under the moniker 'Century' to keep people from finding out about him. Whenever conversation drifts about him and his past, he will always steer it in another direction.

He is very caring for the ones he is close to, as he is quick to form emotional bonds with certain people that attempt to break the surface with him in the right way. He cares deeply for his pokemon, and tries his very hardest to keep them in tip top shape, priding in his care of his pokemon. If he had to, he would give his own food and starve if it meant that his pokemon would be happy and fed. In battle, Century uses strategy and tries not to be rash, planning out the best moves possible so the battle goes in his favor. He will also show mercy on his opponents, not wanting to damage his opponents pokemon, trying to be as caring as possible. His commands seem calm as a slight breeze on a sunny day, never straining too much, and when he's losing, he never lets it show. However, he can show some cockiness when the battle is going in his favor, but he tries not to rub it in. Century's favorite type of pokemon is rock type, as he grew up in Pewter City, before running away to Pallet Town
History: Century was raised in Pewter City in the region of Kanto looking up to the local Gym Leader Brock, who was more or less his idol. Century was amazed with the way Brock would handle opponents with ease and show great pride in caring for his pokemon. A trait that Century wanted. However, he had no pokemon to do so with. Century was often seen at the gym, watching the gym battles against trainers who have travelled far and wide to challenge him. At age 14, Brock noticed him as a mainstay, and one day, offered to train Century. He was ecstatic. He went home to ask his parents if he could get trained by Brock, and they said no.

Century begged and begged and begged, but they wouldn't budge. This enraged Century, who wanted this opportunity so bad, but his parents said no because they thought pokemon 'promoted violence'. This angered Century so bad, he ran away. He managed to find his way back to Pallet Town, and saw that Professor Oak was giving out pokemon to new trainers and Century was willing to do anything to get a chance at becoming a professional pokemon trainer..

Century stood at the edge of Route A for a small amount of time, before finally stepping into the only way out of Chrome Town, the heavily forested Route A. The tall grass seems like its in dire need of a trimming, but nothing that would stop Century.

"Hmph, seems like someone's beaten me out." Century notes to himself as he holds a fixation on the beaten path that has seemingly been walked lately. His Surskit on his shoulder seems comfortable. "Ready to venture out, Surskit?" Century grins to his pokemon companion he says almost affectionately, as he adjusts his unzipped leather jacket and steps into Route A. He reaches into his breast pocket and pulls out his pokedex, and examines it as he walks on the small path.

Century accesses the map section of his pokedex and looks at Route A. "Doesn't look too long..." He mutters to himself, as he continues to walk down the path, not too conscious of what is around him. He breathes in deeply, the fresh scent of grass filling his nostrils. He stops for a brief moment, sensing something. As he continues to walk through the grassy area, bushes shake behind him. Century turns around to address the situation, pulling out his pokedex. His Surskit sits on his shoulder, not really aware of the situation, but at the same time, Century can almost feel the tension between himself and whatever is on the other side of the bush..

Suddenly, a purple snake jumps out and tries to bite Century, but he nimbly moves out of the way. He grabs his pokedex and points it toward the purple snake.

"Ekans, the Snake Pokemon." The computerized voice starts, "It sneaks through grass without making a sound and strikes unsuspecting prey from behind." The pokedex then silences, and Century slips it back into his breast pocket.

"Oh, you think you're gonna have me?" Century smiles, as he holds out his arm, and Surskit looks at him in slight fear. "C'mon Surskit, you can do it!" Century eggs him on, and his pokemon jumps off of his shoulder. "Alright, now lets see what attacks you know, Surskit." Century then pulls out his pokedex and looks up information on his Surskit.

"Surskit only knows Bubble at this level." It says mechanically to Century.

"Just bubble? Alright Surskit, lets do this!" Century calls out, and the wild Ekans springs for the bug/water type pokemon. "Dodge now Surskit!" Century's pokemon does that, moving out of the way of the Ekans. "Now use Bubble!" Century calls out and suddenly, bubbles emit from the mouth of Surskit, hitting the wild Ekans and causing it to slither around the ground, out of the sight of Surskit and Century.

"Alright, hold your ground now.." Century comforts his pokemon, as it stands in the middle of the path calmly.

Ekannnsssss

Suddenly, the purple snake bursts out of the bushes again, and wraps itself around Surskit!

"Hold on Surskit, use your bubble attack!" Century calls out, and Surskit begins blowing bubbles into the body of the wild Ekans, prying him off of himself. The wild pokemon uses its leer technique on Surskit, something that Century learned from watching Brock's pokemon battles back in Kanto.

The Ekans capitalizes on its chances, and shoots itself toward the slightly fear stricken Surskit...

"Surskit, you can do this! Move out of the way and use your Bubble attack again!" Century calls out and Surskit abides, dodging out of the way before the Ekans can hit it. Century then watches at the wild purple snake crashes into a base of a tree. Century then throws a pokeball toward the wild Ekans, and waits as the red light emits the pokemon into the ball.. It rocks back and forth...

The blond-haired young man said in return, and shook Edwin's proffered hand energetically; slightly too much so, Edwin thought; and the aforementioned youth turned around to speak to the third member of their trio. "Well what's your name?" In response, the girl blushed and her starter Pokemon, a Squirtle – Edwin saw – stomped on her foot. She sprang in surprise and glared at her Pokemon after stating her name hurriedly. "Nina! My name is Nina!"

An apt name, thought Edwin as he filed away the name for future reference; he wasn't great with names, but he did it mentally anyway. "So… Nina. Good morning to you, as well." Nodding in solemn acknowledgement still, he began to pace towards where Tai had already dashed to a few moments ago; the phone.

As Edwin and Nina approached the phone booth-ish… thing that was the typical communications device in this world, and heard a fragment of Professor Oak's voice.

"-A few new rules that will help you out if you travel in a group of three. You see, I send out two groups of Pokemon trainers each year…" Professor Oak mentioned something about them traveling together. "I… do not object to that suggestion, Professor." Edwin hefted the steel case by his side, slightly uncomfortable but feeling more assured that his journey will be safer with others by him. At the same time, though, he will have the responsibility to look after them as well.

Both of the others have their starters outside, Edwin observed. "Why not?" He mused, aloud this time. "Bulbasaur! Realize!" He pressed the white button in the middle of his Pokeball.

A ray of red energy shot out from it, rapidly forming the shape of a reptile with a gigantic bulb proportionate to its body. As the light faded, Edwin's Bulbasaur appeared in front of Squirtle and Charmander.

-Greetings! I… am Bulbasaur.- Bulbasaur calmly waved his front paw at the other two starter Pokemon. –I am sure that you have met me at least once before, in Professor Oak's laboratory. But I will introduce myself again.–

"He has an interesting attitude." Edwin smiled a bit, unsure of what to do next. As Tai faced the suggestion that they go eat, Edwin used the excuse as a further source of conversation.

"I… uh…wouldn't mind... me and Tat are bit hungry." It was Nina's response to Tai's suggestion. Edwin found himself also lacking in energy.

"A nice suggestion. I believe the cafeteria, is, ah, somewhere over THERE." Edwin pointed down the hallway, to a sign with a teapot and cutlery drawn on it, together with the word "CAFETERIA". "I suggest that we… um… make our way over there as soon as possible. Come on, Bulbasaur."

-Yes, sir.- Bulbasaur seemed to pack some respect for Edwin, at least partially, but this comment was obviously filled with sarcasm as well. –Absolutely. Whatever you say, sir.-

"No attitudes, Bulbasaur. That's not required of you right now." Edwin whispered back. "You can do that later."

Hair Color: Tai has a pure, brilliant golden color to his hair. The hue of raidiant gold, or sunflower petals as some others describe.

Hair Length: Tai's bang reach to his eyebrow level while the sides fall to the tops of his ears and the back reaches to half way down his neck.

Hair Style: His hair style is very peculiar and wild. His hair seems normal until the sides of his hair flare up and let his bangs fall gently down. The rest of his hair spikes at the ends.

Eye Color: His eyes are very bright, a solemn band of deep crimson encircles each pupil. His eyes always give off a sense of merry bliss that can sparkle even through the darkest nights.

Height: Around the average height for a thirteen year old, 5"2'

Weight: Tai weighs in at a healthy 105 lbs.

Body Structure: Tai has a well-established body, from his broad shoulders to his well-built lower body. As someone who does a lot of walking, a bit of running, and plays the game of Football, he has a well-conditioned body. His appearance is normal for an thirteen year old; not scrawny, not buff, but rather a mix between the both.

Basic Clothing: Clothes-wise, Tai wears an outfit that compliments the classification others have bestowed upon him, a pretty boy. A bright crimson hat with a white pokeball insignia in a broad black band that spreads from the back of the hat and ends in a rounded shape above the center of the visor. He wears his signature red jacket which is trimmed at the bottom with a white stripe and zipper line which is left unzipped about just above his chest which leads to a white collar and it has black sleeves. He wears two black wristbands on each wrist which match his pair of nice black jeans. Underneath his jacket he wears a black V-neck tee. His shoes, a bright red white-bottom sli-on shoes that seem to never get dirty despite of all the walking and running Tai does, complete his outfit.

Pajamas: He wears no shirt when he goes to sleep, leaving his nice torso exposed, but wears a pair of white shorts that reach just below his knees.

Bathing Suit: Tai loves to swim and wears no shirt but a pair of dark orange beach shorts that reach just below his knees with white lines running down the side of his legs ending with half of a pokeball marking.

Accessories: Tai carries around a nice white traveling bag with silver straps where he carries all of his necessities. He has a habit of putting, or writing stuff on his bag to make memories of where he has been.

Personality: Tai Sugimori is a hyperactive, sarcastic punk that seemed to have been taught at an early age that love was a stupid thing. Having very little common sense but a lot of pokemon sense, he apts to act before thinking. This gets him touble alot, and takes his friends down with him! He treats life as it were a game, which may be the effect of too many hours on his video game consoles; one of his other greater passion is females, he always tends to have his fits of pervesion. These fits usually lead to him hitting on the girls and usually gets them.

Tai lacks patience, and prefers constant action to new and exciting situations. He may even look for trouble for the sake of entertainment. He is a very upbeat and hyperactive person, annoying to some, even. He loves to take charge of situations and become the leader. He loves to just goof around with friends and be the life of the party. He hates people who take life for granted and just sit around, quietly watching life pass by. People who are rude and sarcastic about everything also bother him. He also hates people who over think things, he believes you should just "go with the flow" and do what your heart tells you.

Tai is by no means easily intimidated, but does have a short temper. Of course, when someone he cares about is harmed, he does get very angry at the one who did it to them and will fight to the death to prevent it from happening again.

As you might assume from the above statement, Tai also has a strong sense of justice. However, he firmly believes that right and wrong are just concepts, and that it's what you do and what you believe in that matters in the end. He personally thinks that the lives of others take priority over his own, though he's by no means incredibly selfless. However, he will gladly risk his life so that someone else can keep theirs without so much as a second's hesitation.

History: Tai was the fiery, sarcastic little boy that lives life as if it were a game. Tai was born in the nice and calm town of Pallet. He was raised by his loving mother and father. His family moved to his father's home of America when he was 3 to allow his American father to work at his Gym but still be able to see his family. But finally, when Tai was 6 his father became gravely ill, there was nothing they could do. He was horribly sick until the end of his days. To this day he believes it was his fault that his father died and has promised himself to be strong. He hasn't cried since his father died, because he promised his father to be strong and take care of his mom.

His mother was a top co-ordinator and used some of her winnings to fly back to Japan with her son and still to this day uses her winnings to support her son. He feels horrible that his mother must spend that money to take care of him. He usually spent most of his days at the Pokemon Academy, where he studied hard so that he can someday support his mother. Ever since he can remember at the Pokemon Academy, Tai's passion was Pokemon Battling.

By the time he turned Thirteen, Tai's eigth year at the Pokemon Academy, he took the PT Test. The Pokemon Trainer Aptitude Test, and passed with flying colors! This gave his entrance into the Kanto Pokemon League Challenge, he had one year to get all 8 badges.

A confident, braggart of a Charizard, Charco has a tendency to be the leader, to want to take charge. He has a slight, devil-may-care attitude toward life, and chivlary is high on his list. Always willing to fight, he battles to test his skills more than to obtain another victory.

Serious nature.
Gender: Male
Ability: Keen Eye
Attacks: Fly, Air Slash, Protect, Brave Bird
A Pidgeot with a will of steel and a tongue as sharp as glass, Gee is a very sarcastic bird, very prideful and full of himself. Beneath the layers of meaness, however, lie a yearning feeling to be accepted by his fellows, and does enjoy the companionship he shares with the other members of the team and Tai himself.

Attacks: Iron Tail, Thunder, Magnet Rise, Volt Tackle
A very hyperactive Pikachu with a talent for battling. He and Charco often compete to see who is stronger but make a fantastic team. Pika has to know what everyone is doing, he also likes to play small jokes on others.

Species: Victreebell
Nickname: Velsi
Sassy nature.
Gender: Female
Ability: Chlorophyll
Attacks: Leaf Blade, Leaf Storm, Sludge Bomb, Sleep Powder
A sarcastic, sadist Victreebel with an Osakan accent similar to that of a city dweller, Velsi is quick to reprimand idiots and people and pokemon she just plain doesn't like. Tough and to the point, Velsi has a smirk as wide as the sun, and an ego just as big.

Nickname: Lax
Impish nature.
Gender: Male
Ability: Thick Fat
Attacks: Zen Headbutt, Giga Impact, Psychic, Strength
A dense, nutt-o Snorlax with a mind slower than a slug, Lax has a tendency to assume crazy things and hide behind chairs and desks because of it. He also likes to start random conversations, and is known to state the absolute obvious on most occasions. He has the brain about the size of a pea but a heart as big as the ocean.

Nickname: Presa
Careful nature.
Gender: Female
Ability: Shell Armor
Attacks: Ice Beam, Hydro Pump, Surf, Rain Dance
The oblivious sweet one, Presa is a Laprasfull of the joy of life. She takes every day as it comes, thankful for all that she recieves. Every turn is a new adventure for her, and she constantly looks at the bright sides of things. Her endless optimism may get annoying at times, but it helps to lighten the spirits of all that speak to her in the end.

Other: Tai loves food, because of this he almost always has the munchies. Most likely inherited from his father, Tai has keen instincts when it comes to battling. One of Tai's passions is Video Games, he is known to treat some real-life situations as a video game. Tai's idol is the former Indigo Champion, Red and has celebrity crushes on Misty of Cerulean, Whitney of Goldenrod, Flannery of Lavaridge, and Candice of Snowpoint.

Just know that the pokedexs we will be receiving will each come with a personalty, the same personality and a different voice. You can also pick whatever color you want your Pokedex to be, and your character will travel alone until Viridian City where we all meet up.

Episode One: Adventure Begin! I Choose You!!



"Come on! Just one more hit and I've got him!" A young boy dressed in a black v-neck and silver shorts cried out enthusiastically, using a white, remote-like controller to guide his heroic avatar. On the plasma screen in front of him, an 8-bit sprite of a plumber was evading fireballs being shot at him by a creature resembling a Blastoise crossed with a Charizard. He was on the final level of his game, about to defeat the evil Bowser to save Princess Peach and the MushroomKingdom. Unfortunately, he slipped up. A stray fireball struck the plumber. A tone played, and the sprite fell to the bottom of the screen.

"NO! I ALMOST HAD HIM!" The boy cried in frustration, hands falling to his side and letting the remote clatter to the floor. "I don't get it! The boss is supposed to be the easy part in these games! Ugh!"

The boy was Tai. He was thirteen years old, and notorious punk of PalletTown's PokemonAcademy, and a soon to be pokemon trainer. His interest did not solely lie on Pokemon, he also enjoyed video games.

"Tai! Tai honey, get up! You'll be late!" Tai's mom's voice flitted through the air upstairs. Shortly after his defeat, the tv showed a black screen which displayed her remaining lives. 57 in total. Rather than continuing, though, the boy checked the Pidgey-like clock on his dresser and let out a sigh.

"Crap!" The boy swore under his breath, jumping into his closet. He hurriedly put on his signature red jacket with a white collar and black sleeves. The jacket had a nice white trimming circling the bottom of it, the zipper line was white as well and zipped up to a little below his collar bone showing a bit of his black v-neck. He quickly put on his black jeans and some red white-bottom slip on shoes. The boy quickly slipped on two black wristbands then hurtled down the stairs, two at a time.

Tai's mother was a pretty woman of about 30. With a pink apron, happy smile, and her Ivysaur house-helper at her side, there wasn't a single chore Mom couldn't do. Tai gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and grabbed a piece of toast that lay in a heap on the table.

"Morning sweetie. How'd you sleep?" Mom asked.

"Horribly. I was too excited to sleep." Tai mumbled truthfully through a mouthful of toast and sweatdropped.

"Oh, so is that why you woke up to play Mario again?" Mom giggled as she gave a bowl of milk to Ivysaur.

"Saur, Ivy, ivy……" The green pokemon smiled and slurped the milk happily.

"Yeah…….." Tai mumbled and gulped his orange juice.

"I remember I was so excited so begin my Coordinator career, and I turned out well. So I just know you'll do well too." Mom smiled warmly.

Tai grinned and looked at the Pidgey clock mounted on the wall, "Man, I better get going. Places to go, people to see."

Mom giggled again. "You've grown so much. I'm proud of you. Now here's you're traveling bag, I stocked it with everything you'll need. Toothbrush, compass, some pokeballs I picked up, sleeping bag, extra boxers…….."

"Mom………" Tai flushed and grabbed his bag from the table. Mom laughed and placed her son's red Pokemon hat on his head, a black stripe running down from the back down to the center above the visor and having half a Pokeball on it. "Don't forget to call me when you get to ViridianCity."

"I won't." Tai hugged his mom tightly and then smiled. "See ya later!!" He smiled and then patted Ivysaur on the head as he raced out the door.

The late morning sun hung in the sky like a lazy, oversized glowing bug. It was too bright. It was too early.

IT WAS TOO DAMN COLD! Tai cursed mentally. This was tiresome. Professor Oak's lab was too far away for its own good. Just when he was beginning to think violent thoughts that involved the dear professor's death, the tallest spire of his quaint farm/lab appeared on the horizon. The boy charged up the hill, and burst through the door……..

"PROFESSOR! GOOD MORNING!" He shouted, barging in and walking up to the professor, who was standing behind a counter, looking at a large book.

Graying hair, tanned skin and a nice white lab coat completed Oak's look. He had the air of a jolly old man who had experienced much in his life, too much perhaps. He looked up at Tai, smiling.

"There you are! Glad you came."

"Whew! Thanks…I thought I was late."

"Oh you are, hideously." The professor smiled mildly and motioned to the two pokeballs on the counter.

"Ack! Only two?! So who left?" Tai asked, inquiring about one of the other two trainers he knew were also heading out on journeys.

"Don't worry my boy, you'll find out in due time. " The professor smiled warmly up at the boy, that smile seemed familiar to Tai from somewhere. But he couldn't put his finger on it,

"Which did they take?" The boy asked, poking the two remaining pokeballs.

"Squirtle. You and the girl still have to pick-"

"Wait the other trainer is a girl!? Is she cute?" Tai nudged Prof. Oak with a smirk, the professor sweatdropped, "Mmm, I'm afraid I'm not able to say anything on the subject." Tai sighed,

"Alright! So can I choose?" He asked the professor, eager and waiting for a favorable answer.

"Of course. Pick while I go get your pokedex." Oak walked off to the back of the room and Tai looked down at the labels.

Bulbasaur.

Charmander.

He knew that Charmander was going to be his pick, from the beginning. He adored its evolutions, and its type, Fire/Dragon. Good combo.

"This one!" The boy smiled, picking up the pokeball and releasing the small orange pokemon from its chamber.

The Charmander looked up at him with large blue eyes, then lowered its head and muttered, "Charman! Charrrr…."

"Ha! It's so cool!" Tai grinned and hugged it, the Charmander grinning madly.

The professor came back then, the small red pokedex in his hand. "Ah! Good choice. Charmander is a very reliable pokemon. I think you'll do well together."

"Thanks Professor. So, I guess I'll be seeing you!" Tai grinned and extended his hand, the professor shook it with a smile that matched Tai's, "I won't let you down Uncle Oak!" Tai yelled as dashed through the automatic glass double doors out into the world. Oak chuckled,


"I'm sure you won't, you remind me of when I was young.." The professor smirked.
