Dexter's Introduction to the Pokemon World!​

Hello, I am Dexter! A specially designed device built by Prof. Oak for you, the trainers. ​

The world of Pokemon, a place full of many surprises. A world where humans and Pokemon live together. Some living in peace, love, and happiness... others live in hate, reject, and suffer the cruel things about life... but if you think about it, Pokemon and humans could live together without extreme consequence. Unless their owners are cruel of heart, like a number of organizations scattered across the Pokemon World. The world consists of many countries and regions, the capital of Pokemon is currently known as, Kanto. This entire region is home to creatures known only as Pokemon.​

Kanto is located in the center of Japan. Here, there are many Pokemon Trainers, aiming to be the best with aid from Prof. Oak. The top, leading Pokemon Scientist in Japan. But there are also thieves and crooks, the lowliest of them all is known only as... Team Rocket. This is the most evil organization in Japan, and probably the entire world. They do various maniacal things: Steal Pokemon from innocent bystanders, make them do their biddings, and worst of all, capture and use for evil, legendary pokemon. Thanks to their constant interfering in Kanto, the slumber of the pure pokemon has been disturbed. Her son, the pokemon who's heart has been tainted was created from a cell of his mother and from the arm of a scientist, and now walks the earth, planning to get revenge. The three legendary pokemon of Kanto are now in a rage, soaring across the region of Kanto. Worst of all, all these events are occurring right during the time that Professor Oak, the top leading pokemon scientist in all of Japan, is sending out you three! So...be careful, because whatever bad happens to you...HAPPENS TO ME TOO!!! So be careful!​

2. Well, finally you picked me up! Now your an official trainer, with your trainer card in hand walk into the fields of Route One. Here, there are many wild pokemon. Well actually, only two known species live here.

3. Phew! We made it through Route One, now all we've gotta do is go through Viridian City to Viridian Forest. But don't rush off, there is a shop here and a Pokemon Center. Wait, didn't Oak say to look for two other trainers?

4. Well we all united, this is great!!! Let's go to Viridian Forest....Wait! Now we have to find this old guy's weedle? Woah! People in black! They seem mean...

5. Viridian Forest is creepy, okay. Let's just get through and get out, woah!! It's that thing Tai saw on his first day, and who's the girl dressed in black?! I'm CONFUSED!!!! Just get out of Viridian Forest Safely!

Nickname: Absolutely NONE. In fact, she detests being coined the name 'Star'.

Hair Color: A pale, Cornflower Blonde, the hue of ripening corn, oftentimes decribed as like the breathtaking spectacle of the breaking dawn, fair as the first weak rays of Summer sunlight in the early morning, and is in fact so fair, just several shades darker than platinum, that the fine tendrils could technically be classified as "colorless". Snaking their way through her hair are several distinct streaks, orange in color, a pretty contrast making for a gentle, loosely Sunset-based theme for her hair.

Hair Length: In general, Starla's hair is relatively close to shoulder-length when left down, which is very rarely the case.

Hair Style: Swept up into two simple Pigtails, set low at the back of her head rather than high up at the sides. This, perhaps, is the accidental mishap most common for underestimating the girl's age. Not that this misconception affects Starla in the least, and even if it had, she would obstinately let it remain as such, for, in her rational train of thought, it rebels from the plain Janeness of a Ponytatail, but for all practical reasons, it keeps her hair from waging an all-out war on her, conspiring to do a variety of things to the poor girl's appearance, Mat up, fall continuously in her eyes, become ensnared in things, and tangle to the point of using weaponry (Via Scissors) to smooth it out.

Eye Color: A solemn band of Amber encircles each bottomless pupil, strangely enough, these orifices, set in wide frames, always look as if they're analyzing or contemplating something, the eyes of a Scholar, the eyes of a philosopher. When Starla is pondering something over, through these looking-glasses, the gears in her mind can be seen grinding, and having reached the conclusion to a predicament, or just the answer to a good old-fashioned riddle, the same light can be seen triggered in the light Sepia irises she sports, a passionate twinkle formation shining with indominitable pride and zest, once having been lit, near impossible to strangle and extinguish. When experiencing one of her uncharacteristic melancholy slumps, Starla's eyes will fall half-closed, and as if in an enchantment, dull eyes will stare off in a faraway daze as if in a trance, glazing over and staring silently, morosely out into the galaxy and universe beyond, until something or another comes along demanding her attention, or she is otherwise snapped back to attention by a vital event. In spite of her mood, Starla's eyes are always of a darker, more serious nature, no-nonsense to say, which makes sense, the lone indicator that somewhere, in the depths of her child-like heart, Starla is a serious and level-headed individual.

Weight: Barely weighs in at ninety pounds.


Body Structure: As aforementioned, vertically-wise at least, it would seem that Starla is rather lacking in that aspect, any hopes of intimidating those she meets squashed by the harsh reality that she is wee. Wee, though, is a major understatement, as the entire summary of what Starla amount to be, cannot be summed up in a three-letter word. Never quite being able to see her difference as a handicap, as customary with her nature, Starla has trained herself to dwell on the bonuses rather than the pitfalls of it instead. Always guesstimating that she will never be the brawn of a team, but feeling similarily that she should have something worthy to contribute, she has trained herself in the art of agility instead. Quick and agile, if need be, Starla could, with relative ease, pull a vanishing act in a crowd, her abnormal height helping to assist in her disappearance. Along with her effective rapidness is paired a little contradictory clumsiness, but amazingly enough, vanishes when Starla finds herself in a serious situations. Scampering up a tree with the best of Aipoms wouldn't be uncommon for a light-weight like she, and while she would be able to glide as effortlessly from limb to limb, tree to tree by means of leaping in single or double bounds, she lacks the obvious upper arm strength to swing from limb to limb, or even sustain herself if she were to slip and fall. Some, when noticing her for the first time, swear obstinately that she is a Woodland Elf, a little Forest Nymph, for she seems to thrive the most in Woodsy or Jungle-type areas, places where, like she as a person, is teeming and overgrown with life, aromas, and sensations. Unable to take extreme heat, such as fire, she fears it to an extent, not an astonishing fact, due to the past that she only barely escaped by the skin of her teeth. In actual body type, Starla could be generalized as posessing the startling appearance of a radical Procelain doll. Outrageous orange streaks and a convenient hairstyle dismiss immediately that she is the lady her body alludes her to be, yet, for a young adolescent girl, having matured early, in her small frame she already sports all of the flowing curves usually hidden until the twilight of adolescence, and the emergence of adulthood, her little hour glass figure, on a girl as petite as herself, appearing more as cute and comical than alluring and sexy. Still, the promise of a someday incredibly attractive lady is there..

Basic Clothing: Starla, a natural talent in sewing, perhaps from the quiet, but anything but insignificant and dull months spent developing in the Viridian Forest weaving, and sitting as an observer more than a disturber amongst the wild Pokemon inhabiting, eventually developed a knack for spinning threads. Perhaps fascinated by the spinnings of her Caterpie companions into Metapods, and how these ritualistic methods changed they and their Weedle counterparts into new evolutions completely, Starla sought with a determined sense of ambition to create the same effect. Not literally, of course, but works of her own that would startle and impress Human and Pokemon clients alike, and so, using organic dyes and fibers, began experiementing and replicating the works of the Caterpie and Weedle near her to master the arts. She hasn't mastered it yet, but has managed to make some of her own clothes, such as the Sundress that she commonly wears.

The garment, a loose, airy creation designed obviously for the sunny climate of Veridian, is sleeveless, instead supported by two braided twists of material strapping around Starla's fine shoulders, being the general Red and white checkered pattern that the majority of the dress is. While the bodice of the dress clings tightly, outlining the girl's bust, hugging the narrow abdomen of her upper hour-glass shape, completely taut as the eyes traverse downward, until the hips, where it begins to fan out in a loose skirt, falling to just above the girl's knobby knees. As for deviances on this otherwise plain garment, various Pokemon from the Kanto region can be seen peeking out from behind various objects, a laughing Pikachu from behind an overseized-Strawberry, an Eevee peering out from behind two enormous button holes in a gigantic Azure button, A clan of Caterpie and Weedle worming their way from around a massive heart and leaf that they looked to have woven themselves, and an urighted wide-eyed Snorlax attempting to hide behind the Seashell, though quite obviously, he is too grossly large to ever achieve that wish. These images are scattered randomly, being everywhere but the very front of the dress, and on the very front, a grinning Charmander, pudgy paws covering his eyes, near ready to seek them all out. Where the Pikachu and Eevee hide are small pockets, and bulging out of them, crammed to the max, are whatever snacks Starla can rustle up before she sets off on her Forest forages. The dress at the top is trimmed in a white piece of fabric that, for about six inches, folds over onto the Red and white checkered fabric, making an odd sort of trim.

As an alternate outfit, when she is washing or otherwise patching up or altering the first, Starla will wear a pair of Blue Jeans cut-offs, a large, yellow Sunflower thoughtfully stitched by herself on the front, with a Pokeball emblem pressed into the back, a lightningbolt symbol present on the large design. Up top, she wears a tight-fitting short-sleeved white button-up Tee shirt, hazy grey outlines of various Pokemon, Zubat, Doduo, Clefairy and Clefable, Raichu, Mew, and even a shady, ominous-looking silhouette of Mewtwo standing glowering in the background, arms crossed in obvious irritation. Various shapes, larger than these sporatic Pokemon, surround them, a Planet here, a Neon-colored Star there, and all of these inanimate designs are in color. A pair of slip-on Hiking Boots, red in hue, complete the first outfit, and for the second, running shoes, plain white Keds with twin glossy pink lightning bolts banding the width of each shoe.

Pajamas: A pair of short shorts so jam packed with Eevee in varying poses, that they appear to be brown, thought the sparse patches in between the Evolution Pokemon are actually white. On top, she wears a short tank top, a dusky pink with the logo, "Escaping the Darkness..." scrawled out in an ominous Nightmarish purple shade, beneath these three words a quartet of Pokemon huddled around, a Sheepish-looking little Eevee standing in the middle, clinging fearfully to an irate Mudkip, one patting the Eevee's back and consoling her, but at the same time chiding the two Pokemon battling on each side of them, sn infuriated Chimchar firing a Flame Wheel, glowering over at a fierce Totodile bent over in a battle stance, claws glowing to depict an impending "Rage" attack. In the background, a Treecko sits in total seriousness meditating calmly, completely disregarding the mayhem taking place around him.

Bathing Suit: An adorable Goldeen themed little suit, the top being a white cut off, hugging Starla's bust and cutting off past the bust at mid-chest, decorated with a number of long pale orange and white frills, decked with silver sparkles to indicate the "Goldeen" as shiny. The bottoms are yellow bottoms covered by a "tail" in the back indentical to a shiny Goldeen's.

Accessories: A pair of soft, fabric-lined synthetic leather Sandals, of a plain Beige color, for convenience sakes need Starla arise quickly in the middle of the night. A Where's Waldo type bag, instead featuring all the Pokemon of the Kanto region, with the popular slogan "Gotta' catch 'em all!" written in bousterous red across the top flap. The bag is held shut by a red cord looped to the top fastening around a button on the bottom half, and is an official Trainer designer bag, containing the appropriate items, the main comparment for personal belongings, the smaller pockets for Tms and Pokeballs, a larger one of items found on the journey, and even a special plastic-lined compartment for keeping berries and other raw foods fresh. As of yet, Starla keeps only her alternate set of clothes, two pairs of shoes, her sewing kit, several sandwiches, a fair sum of money to get her started on her journey, and a curious book, an old warped thing, that if, she attempted to sell, would be proclaimed a worthless piece of junk, it has weathered so much. On the front is written, "Kanto legends: Each and every mythical Pokemon of the region you hope to encounter in a lifetime.. But probably won't. Special on the man-made monster, the escappe Mewtwo inside!" On further inspection, Starla has affectionately dog-eared each of the pages highlighting this synthetic legendary Pokemon. Around her neck she wears a golden chain that her mother once wore, which was abl to be salvaged from the wreckage. A strange-looking silhouette of an unidentified Pokemon hangs in suspension, with on the back, if Starla could decipher the words, "May Arceus forgive..." Her "first" Pokemon ever is also contained inside the backpack, an Exeggutor, always one of her favorites.

Personality: The demeanor of this girl, as with each and every being claiming themselves as intricate, is complex in its multi-layered stratum, each individual trait contradictory of the next, such as Starla's characteristic brashfulness paired with her hopelessness as a romatic. An incredibly rash girl, Starla's attitude is frowned down upon, at least on the tiny Islander atmosphere she was raised on, and was regarded as an incredibly inappropriate and ill-mannered way for a small girl to behave. Though when boys of similar age and demeanor acted out boldy as she often did, they were praised highly and celebrated wishfully as future world leaders, holders of high positions that would bring fame and wealth to the tiny Island community. This marked an eternal era in Starla's life, the era of which she is sure will never end. Constantly corrected and uprighted, and spat upon as needing severe reprimanding for her outlandish unlady-like behavior, along with multiple suggestions that the girl be in enrolled in Coordinator and Etiquette classes rather than "battle recklessly" at Blaine's Gym and attend trainer school has more than made its impact, and more than aware of her place as underdog in a male-prominent society, the thick-skulled Starla is meeting the challenge of rising above and beyond every person, male or female, she meets. But males in particular. For if a girl beats Starla, the girl renowned for sending her masculine peers whipped and bawling home to their mommies, then that would ineed prove that girls are notable equals, if not superior. Though Starla's biggest critics were the Island elders, the majority of them busybody old matrons with mouths the size of texas, it is the males of her species Starla holds a grudge against, and when meeting one for the first time, she regards him a little more critically than she should, but shows no ill will against him, just a higher degree of judgment. The word most commonly used to describe Starla would be "determined", and the phrase, "desperate to get ahead." Rather than waste her time on dolling her precious Pokemon up and making them sparkle and shine with Poffins, she would just as soon feed them the treats they desire offhandedly, and work up a sweat training for battle. Nothing like a good old-fashioned battle to relieve the grievances of the day, and sychronization between trainer and beast is something that comes as first nature to Starla, and is as natural as the air she breathes, for she has been practicing it from the time she could walk. For trainer just starting out, she boasts a rather impressive collection of Pokemon lore and common knowledge, though when it comes to attacks with the exception of the Pokemon she was brought up around, she is hopelessly lost. A peppy and upbeat attitude is often displayed by this hard-headed girl, and so long as somebody makes nice and complies with her presence, Starla feels no need to stir the pot and lay thick the drama. However, if somebody slips up and retorts something seen to her as atrusive or rude, she is quick to snap them back into line of her own accords, which usually consist of something twice as witty spat out, or if found in a particularly mellow mood, something sporactic and humorous to lighten the mood, and nudge them all back into good spirits. Her obstinace is often her only true pitfall, for unlike the other unflattering aspects of her personality, this one isn't at all fickle, a constant to her personality. While it means that surrendering is never an option, and promotes the girl to weasel her way out of any situation by any means, this same stubbornness eventually tuning her into a rather clever and creative person, while in differentiating cirumstances, this same indominatable pride means refusal to admit that she is wrong, resulting in a "Prove it" scenario in which she is proven totally off base, inevitably making an absolute fool of herself. Having grown up around the hot-headed Blaine and his sensational six of sizzling Fire types, it isn't as easy said as done taking a backseat to others' guidances. A natural-born leader, if one also seeking leadership desires Starla to do something, their request would be rewarded better if they asked, rather than told or suggested that she do it. As with the Elders of Cinnabar Island instructing her on how to be a lady, Starla recgonizes any form of authority or order as indication that the person thinks of her as lesser than them, and this is another thing that she won't tolerate. The topic concerning Mewtwo is a particularly touchy and conflicting one for Starla, one, where if he were insulted or degraded in any way, she works herself into a tempermental fit to defend him, but if he were praised or justified in any way, she would similarily erupt, reminding the person of how many innocent lives had taken the toll of this accidental mutant's rage. Her indecisiveness regarding Mewtwo is a parallel to her own internal struggle, to forgive her friend for what he did to her parents, and remain loyal to their memory by detesting the being that took them away from her.


History: Catastrophe At New Island Laboratories: A Semi-Billion Dollar Operation Foiled!

Laboratory Scientists attempting to "play God" had another thing coming to them when they were unable to predict the sheer power of the single endeaveor the cahin of labs were hosting: Codename Operation Mewtwo. As quoted by lone survivor of the diasastrous explosion, Mika Cortez,

"We (The Scientists in on the operation) had been working tirelessly on this project for years. Tireless DNA splicing, and going above and beyond what the current status for Cellular Research was, oftentimes making educated guesses, and scratching our heads as we contemplated obstacle after obstacle. When the synthetic fetus of the developing Mewtwo finally began to take form, we celebrated success like none of us ever had at any given point in our careers. But the real trooper was Mewtwo himself, lending his unconscious and legendary strength and spirit to the operation, wheras normal Pokemon spirits, and even a human one, just weren't up to the feat."

When asked what he meant about the Human spirit, Mr. Cortez declined further comment. The likes of the explosion is a catastrophe of a degree we have never seen the likes of before in our close-knit community, and while the cause of the explosion has emerged due to the gracious firsthand account of Mr. Cortez, the renegade Pokemon known as Mewtwo used heightened Psychic abilities to ransack the Lab, setting it abalze with sheer mind power alone, and letting the entire facilities, of which many explosive and toxic materials were hardbored, burn to the ground. In all, over thirty brilliant minds of Science were lost, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters. A tragedy of this extremity is not one to be ignored, and so, in honor of those brave and ambitious souls who extracted, replicated, and researched tirelessly, only to be overthrown by their own precious creation, we are constructing a monument at the heart of Cinnabar to commemorate them, where many of their loved ones survive today. Specific designs for the monument haven't yet been leaked, but it is rumored that all of Kanto's fine artists and sculptors are being recruited to make it. The name of each deceased, and their role(s) in the operation will be printed on the monument, and also below.


Matthew and Julia Marango, Aged Thirty Three and Thirty-Five, Leading Scientists responsible for the DNA extraction of the fossilized Mew. Responsible for preserving this DNA, and rendering it possible to ressurect.


They are survived by Mika Cortez, brother of Julia Marango, and Starla Marango, their nine year-old daughter.


Born as a native of Cinnabar Island, Starla was celebrated cerimoniously into the tight-knit familial little community that inhabited the Island. The majority of Starla's days weren't technically spent on the Island she had been born into, and held current citizenship in. Only on the seldom days it was near impossible for Starla's doting parents to bring her with them to the Laboratory on New Moon Island, Starla spent poking her inquisitive little head into every nook and cranny she could find, practicing writing her name in the common vlocanic ash scattered all across the Island, discovering, in a combination of miscellaneous events, some painful and some endearing, typical to a child growing up around Pokemon, and came to understand the thin line between types, how a Water-type Pokemon differed from a Fire-type Pokemon, but no by much. Only in aptitude did they differ, and though one resisted the other fairly well, she learned how in some circumstances, type match-ups hardly mattered. When she was only three years old, Starla waltzed in with a trio of easygoing Krabby and a Kingler, waltzed in that is to the largest Volcano on the Cinnabar Island, the one most notably secretly hosting the Cinnabar Gym. Of course, it wasn't such a secret anymore, and Blaine, although surprised by a girl as wee and wobbly as she stumbling in and challenged him, wasn't worried in the slightest about her biased team. With a grin, the riddler of an old man easily schooled the girl, and after wiping out the Kingler without his Ninetales having budged, started in on a lesson that the tiny tot would base the rest of her life around. "Even when it looks as if you don't have the advantage, check again, for types are generic, and worth far less than individual Pokemon." Starla never forgot that day, and from then on, whenever her parents warned her that they wouldn't be able to take her to work the next day, she promptly made her way to the Cinnabar Gym, where Blaine, a gentle old soul beneath all that cookiness, was always eager to either smoke his young apprentice in her latest "Challenge", battling her patiently, and never easing up, through a variety of mismatched "teams", those teams involving Fire, Grass, and Water type Pokemon alike, and other times had her sit back and observe his battles with other trainers, official league members. And through these spectacular Flame-inspired marvels taking place at the sweltering base of the volcano, Starla met the aquaintence of many strange people, some claiming to be from different lands entirely, and even stranger Pokemon. She absorbed many a lesson too, about how defense was oftentimes the best offense, and how a cool, calculative trainer, while not as eyecatching at the rash and boisterous one, was the one most likely to emerge victorious. Starla grew quite attached to Blaine, and soon the old trickster of a man began to regard the little girl as a daughter. When she reached her fifth birthday, Starla demanded that Blaine take a turn observing her, and let her battle his teams. Not because he felt she was ready, but because the mischevious old man was already chuckling at the poor trainer's face who had trained mercilessly for months, when he found that he'd been training for a five year-old little girl. Neither of the two expected that Starla would actually win, though if pondered, it wasn't that surprising, as she had been Blaine's faithful apprentice for two years straight, and herself had memorized every move of every Pokemon on his team he had used, and more or less mimicked his strategy, improvising here or there. Though that was only the beginning for Starla. To suceed independently as a confident-minded trainer, she would need to develop her own strategies and game plans on the spot. But, as aforementioned, the majority of Starla's days weren't spent carefree on the Island, as her parents, two ambitious young Scientific masterminds, in order to conceive the little girl, had had to turn to the devices they were both so familiar with, Technology. Starla's mother Julia had tried for two years shy of a decade to achieve her dream, not to make the cover of every Scientific Pokejournal in the region, but to simply be a mother, have her own little girl to hold, to draw into her arms when she fell off her first bike, to see off on her own adventure at the age of eleven, be there hovering at her little girl's bedroom door, watching her throw things together, and turn her room upside down deciding what to pack for said adventure, preparing herself for the debate on which Pokemon held the most strategic combat advantages: Squirtle, Bulbasaur, or Charmander. And after Starla was finally born, a healthy baby girl, Julia would scarecely let the baby from her sight. Starla practically grew up in the Lab, learning her colors by the varying hus of the chemicals in the Lab, and as she was born around the time Operation Mewtwo began, practicing on her reading by situating herself on the cold tile floors and cracking open whatever miscellaneous book was lying around, most likely ancient accounts of encounters with Mew, the New Species Pokemon. And so, to this day, anything pertaining to the legendary Mew Starla reigns superior on, as who could possibly know more than the girl raised around the Mew's ressurection? Meanwhile, the fetus of Mewtwo was growing, and interacting with the outside world.. Not long after the 'Amber' incident, in which Mewtwo became familiar with the reconstructed clone of Ambertwo, a copy of the head Scientist's daughter, and three Starter Pokemon clones, in which all perished but Mewtwo, and his memory slate was wiped clean in order to stabilize his haywire emotions, little Starla toddled into the dark chamber containing the test tube in which Mewtwo was developing. Being only five years old, and an inquisitive little child, fear and rationality never quite being able to permeate her thick skull and hint to her that this room was usually off limits for a reason, and open or not open, she was forbidden access to it. She had witnessed an abnormal orange glow beckoning from the airtight room, and obviously fascinated by such a vibrant color in a usually colorless stainless steele facility, Starla wobbled in, drawn to the young Mewtwo the moment her wide little eyes spotted him. She had never seen a Pokemon quite like him before, though remembered from the illustrations in the Mew mythology books a creature resembling him vaguely, but somehow instinctively knew that he was a Pokemon all the same. Face reaking out in an ecstatic little grin, she skipped merrily over to the isolated test tube, pressing pudgy hands against the glass and peering in at the Lavendar Pokemon, Still young, Mewtwo wasn't much bigger than Starla herself, and as he, in an odd little way, resembled something strangely human, Starla on the spot elected him as her new playmate. He was sleeping, still wrapped up in his unconscious mind, a temporary coma that would last the duration of his childhood and adolescence, until he had fully matured. Starla announced her presence with an enthusiastic "Hello!", and Mewtwo, still mourning the loss of Amber though he didn't know it, eagerly accepted the outside companionship. She visited him daily, slipping in after the Scientish maintaining Mewtwo's vital functions, when Dr. Fuji was out for Lunch or for a Coffee break. She taught the DNA Pokemon everything she knew, excitedly spinning tales of Pokemon she had met, battles she had witnessed, passing on tales other trainers had relayed to her, and describing her trips to the Cinnabar Beach, and oh how she wished he had been there.. So gradually, an unlikely friendship was forged between the two species, Starla visiting and chatting with Mewtwo day after day after day. Inevitably, as Starla should've realized, Dr. Fuji stumbled upon her and Mewtwo's hidden friendship. Rather than boot her out and chide the child for meddling in his research, he was instantly reminded of the bond Mewtwo had shared with Ambertwo, and having feelings of nostalgia for his deceased daughter, insisted that the two maintain contact, but that he be allow to study young Mewtwo's reaction to this human girl. He justified it as helpful in that it would help they, the Scientists, determine the Mewtwo's demeanor and overall attitude before he reached adulthood. This all began from the time she was three, shortly after beginning her loose apprenticeship with Blaine, and continued until just before her ninth birthday. By this time, Mewtwo, in half the time required for a regular Pokemon to grow, as a clone, progressed rapidly. By the time he fully became conscious of himself, bridging the worlds between he and Starla by emerging into her own, meeting her more than halfway, anxious finally to have actual contact with the soul who had first befriended him, and faithfully pulled him along, giving him the will to truck on, even when the DNA splicing became unbearable, and he wanted no more than to just quit, roll over and die. But, overhearing what the Scientists had in mind for him, not to let him leave as Starla's equal, in quiet peace and harmony, as her best friend and companion, he wasn't to experience life to its fullest, but to serve at the beck and call of a human who had paid to give him life, Mewtwo became infuriated. Gatheringup Starla, who had been nearby always, his bulging triceps, he cradled the little girl gently to him whilst he ransacked the Laboratory, much to her blatant horror, incessant screams, and crying. With his mind, he blew the Labs to smithereens, and then, as if that weren't enough, ensuring that there were no survivors by setting the remnants of the Lab ablaze, and burning all the Research to the ground. Satisfied, Mewtwo turned to Starla to inquire where they should go next to begin their quiet life together, but cheeks tear-streaked, Starla was traumatized beyond words after having seen her parents torn apart before her eyes, witnessing the creature she had supported for six years in a matter of five minutes tear apart the foundation of what billions of dollars had built for them all, take the lives of over thirty individuals just to please himself. Her heart broken beyond repair, realizing that she would return home alone that night, after wrenching free from the Pokemon who could've let her smother in the fire, who could've torn her limb from limb with sheer mind power alone, called him a monster, and fled to the other side of the Island. He could've pursued her and aplogized, he could've throw her so far out into the sea in frustration, that her little body would give out still hundreds of miles from the shore, but he didn't. Recoiling from the pain that word, the word her pretty little mouth had spoken, that single godforsaken word, "Monster", he simply just teleported her back to Cinnabar Island, to the volcanic Gym she had spoken so highly of, realizing that he was out of her life forever, but vowing even still to watch over the little girl who had enlightened his existence. Not long after he transported Starla out of the limelight to the safety of the Cinnabar Gym, the now broken, defeated DNA Pokemon was approached and suckered in by Giovanni.


Starla has since been raised by Blaine, for the past four years that is, and now a full-time student, was learning more now than ever. She became a specialist on the Fire types, though extraordinarily enough, intense Flame attacks left her shuddering, crying and weak in the corner of the Gym, for they almost always evoked flashbacks, flashbacks of the powerful lavendar humanoid creature once her friend, now destroyer of her life, of her world, turning away from her to survey the world disdainfully, with cold, unforgiving maroon eyes before burning the entire facility down, with such and intense and passionate heat fuled by hatred, it had disintegrated to ash in only moments. Starla struggles to work through this, for she realizes that without it, she has no chance of becoming a true Pokemon master. But old habits die hard, and try as she might, she just can't quell the instinctive blanching brought on, and so, for concern of his adopted "daughter", Starla, the girl who had been all elbows and knees just years before, now blossoming into a miniature beauty, Blaine arranged for her to begin her own little adventure touring Kanto, failing to realize, of course, that he had set the wheels of fate into motion, and that meanwhile, an evil syndicate sought to manipulate Mewtwo, and similarily, the legendary Pokemon, linking Starla to this whole fiasco, still silently kept guard over her, making himself scarce to her naked eye, but always striving to be there for her in one way or another.. Every step she takes, he keeps fierce watch.

**After Blaine shooed Starla away on her journey of self-discovery, she was passing through the Viridian Forest, the emerald realm where, so much beauty was noticed in the timeless gnarled old bark of tree trunks, and in the dusty sunlight filtering through the holes in the canopies of the tops of these magnificent giants, that, enchanted by the ancient forest, as if in a trance, Starla spent a good six months reclinging among the trees, living off berries and edible roots and spring water until the lack of protein in her diet made her physically ill, unaccustomed to this rogueish lifestyle, and she was forced to return to civilization. It was during this time that, thanks in full to the patience of the Forest Caterpie and Weedle, Starla learned the primitive art of sewing and weaving, despite her stern views about stereotypes, becoming a talented Seamstress. She doesn't boast this talent outright, for she hates to be thought of by any as "typical".

Personality: Not exactly the average, run of the mill Eevee you would espect to encounter, that is being happy go lucky and carefree, Leera, influenced by the most radical and rambunctious trainer possible, has more or less adopted the same attitude. Retaining her innate naivety, only paired with a conscientious attitude of recklessness only spells trouble for the little Pokemon, and more ofen than not, this Eevee's bold nature lands her, quite literally, into the doghouse. Rarely ever serious, but keeping the notion reserved for desperate measures, this cocky Pokemon of sorts puts herself on a pedestal, as if she were worth something of higher value than other Pokemon. As expected, this produces an extreme amount of envy in her, so perhaps the reason that Starla only has one Pokemon to show for herself, her sole partner Leera, is due to the intimidating effect her precocious Eevee has on most weaker Pokemon. This doesn't mean that Leera is entirely pig-headed, by any means. Only when the sake of sharing the divine right to Starla's attention is involved does Leera unleash the beast and fend off every wild Pokemon within three miles' vicinity, if it is established that the Pokemon in question has no interest in becoming Starla's latest endeavor, Leera is as happy as a clam, and quite willing actually to get to know them. Never a pushover when it comes to battle, Leera favors a more offensive than defensive strategy, and in her mind, any other attacks, Defensive or Stat-inducing moves are a bore and an unnecessary waste of time to her, as she prefers to dive right in and eliminate immediately. Meaning that strength is of the utmost importance to her, and whenever there is a chance to work up a sweat and get in some grueling training, the diehard Evolution Pokemon is right there. Extraordinarily energetic and impatient, Leera is the one ruling over Starla oftentimes with an iron first, keeping her trainer on a strict training regiment, it oftentimes appearing that Leera rather than Starla is commanding the training. Aware that it is impossible for she and only she to be her partner's sole Pokemon while traveling, Starla is begrudgingly relenting in order to ensure that they someday become the very best. That doesn't mean, however, that she feels that just any Pokemon is deserving of her trainer, and plans to have a final say in selection of the five others comprising Starla's party.
Obtained: As an egg, the whereabouts completely unknown to Starla on her tenth birthday. Starla always assumed that it was Blaine, and in spirit of her birthday, despite the mass birthday bash involving the entire community of Cinnabar he had thrown for her, including a Scavenger hunt involving Pokemon partners in the old mansion, he had also procured this egg, what she had dreamt of her whole life, her first Pokemon. Little did she know that Blaine hadn't actually given her the egg, as he hadn't thought of her as emotionally matured enough yet to accept the responsibility, and firmly believed that a trainer's first Pokemon should be caught and earned rather than served to them on a silver platter, and that Mewtwo, always conscientious of the girl's deepest desires, had silently transported the unborn Eevee from a Daycare facility to Starla's windowsill. For the three years after that, he sent her a similar heartfelt gift, Starla always assuming that it was a sign of affection from her surrogate father, never envisioning that the source of the hidden compassion was also the most feared and loathed creature on the face of Kanto.

Info: Leera was found as just a wee little egg by Starla, on her windowsill. Originally thinking her as a surprise after-party gift from Foster father Gym leader, Blaine, the still-immature girl took the little Eevee in with open arms. In actuality, the egg, stolen from a Daycare facility, was a gift from Mewtwo himself. Seeing that she already had a Pokemon when she arrived at his facilities, and this Pokemon was already a little trained at that, Professor Oak sent her onward with Iris, so as not to give her an unfair advantage.

**Interesting note: Past gifts from Mewtwo included a shiny Eevee plushie, the Arceus necklace "May God Forgive.." that Starla always wears which he unearthed from the rubble on New Moon Island, after having searched tirelessly for something belonging to her parents, and a collection of evolutionary stones, each paired with squat, roughly carved replicas of the the three Kanto Eeveelutions: Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon. Hastily, Starla has stashed these into the 'Items' portion of her backpack as well, conscious that someday, she may just as well need one.

Personality: Gruff and rational to the boot, fortunately for this Geodude, it seemed that Shay, though hatched in the depths of the caves of Moun Moon, was born to be best friends with Leera. Undemanding of Starla's attention, and having no general interest in claiming the throne Leera is perched high on, Shay is as low-level a threat as possibile, and for her lack of cockiness and dominance, Leera adores her. This doesn't go to say that she doesn't have any acute feelings of fondness for Starla herself, for this undoubtedly isn't the case. In fact, it was only after Starla's rough persistence, and incessant pursuings of the rugged Geodude that Shay was inspired to come along, for the girl's sheer determination so striking to her breed's own, they, if not having the same thirst for authority in their common bank of similarities, bear a burning, identical determination, which, of course, pleases Leera in her constant quest scouting potential newer members for she and Starla's team. However, relations weren't always so heavensent between the two. Starla, the first to show a particular keeness in having Shay along, put Leera off, who, so enflamed with jealousy and stark raving mad with envy, she couldn't note the same potential in Shay as Starla had, and at first, outright refused to share quarters with a species so common, and unprecious. Realizing that she couldn't very well go against her headstrong partner and best friend, Starla reluctantly bid farewell to Shay, leaving the mountains she had been training with her strengthened Eevee to take a shot at Brock, renowned Pewter City Gym leader. Head held high, and confident that though she boasted only a single Pokemon, and a Normal type one at that, she would win, larger than life ego luring her into an unrealistic delusion. Starla would've never been one to predict an actual loss as outcome, and for Leera, who had sincerely believed her strength and her strength alone would be enough to carry herself and Starla throughout all of their adventures, was humbled by the crushing blow, and that night, while Starla slept fitfully over the missed badge, Leera stole out and confronted Shay, persuading her at least to come back to the Campsite, and hear her and Starla out. Shay, though obviously insulted, wasn't the type to bear a grudge, the kindhearted earnest Rock Pokemon she was, but wouldn't give up independence for a life of captivity like that. It took the efforts of Starla and Leera both to convince the Geodude to come along, and in the days that have passed, has developed into a worthy companion, and future powerhouse of Starla's team.

I am the next recurring character (at least I hope so). I hope this character fits in with the Roleplay as I tried out for your last one and was rejected lol. I tried making him less "anime perfect" and more of the cliche "rival" complete with an ego and riches.

Hair Color: Golden blonde with darker brown highlights to give the hair some character and definition as his natural blonde hair has been frequently dubbed fake by his admirers.
Hair Length: Leonard's hair is actually quite distinct in that it is long for men. In terms of raw length, it reaches his shoulders on all sides. His bangs separate from his face allowing to actually see in front of him. His fair is perfectly straight without any noticeable or detracting curls. His frequently combing of the hair maintains its length and style.
Eye Color: To keep in line with his near celebrity appearance, Leon's genes have blessed with deep blue eyes that look like pools of water. While they don't do the amazing sparkling effect, many women have been mesmerized by them at least enough to give the typical comments that men with blue eyes receive.

Body Structure: Leonard has been gifted with a superb body that keeps him from gaining weight and becoming completely unattractive. He is fairly tall for his age which he credits to good nutrition and sports and thin yet athletic body that has been developed over the course of several years of physical training in various forms of activity. His body is somewhat toned, however having only recently hit puberty he does not pack significant muscle mass. He has long limbs, however, which adds to his developing lanky appearance which disturbs him mentally and emotionally.

Basic Clothing: Leon's clothing is practical and functional considering his position as a hopeful champion. His jeans are the standard faded blue denim complete with a stonewashed accent given to them, supplying character and individuality. His shoes are of the Vans brand with a black and white color design, which forces them to the most standard of his clothing. To make him feel a celebrity, Leon sports Nike Tarj Sunglasses to protect his perfect blue eyes. With his additional funds, Leon invested in some jewelry. The only show of this investment are the additions of a silver hoop earring on his left ear and a silver chain necklace with no pendant (as of yet).
Pajamas: Leon chooses to sleep in black pajama pants with an old white T-shirt. In warmer weather, Leon will ditch the shirt for the sake of sleeping comfortably.
Bathing Suit: Being a competitive swimmer, Leon only owns several pairs of Speedo Swim trunks. For his adventure, Leon packed two: a blue and black pair as while as a blue and white pair. This swim trunks are only an inch above his knees and are a tight fit, a fact that boosts Leon's ego.
Accessories: Other than an expensive back pack that holds his hear, an iPhone with loads of music and contacts, and his custom duct tape wallet, there isn't much to mention.

Personality: Leon is the definition of an inflated ego. Having accomplished numerous goals and gathering a series of notable achievements in his hometown, he flaunts everything he does and feeds off attention. As a result, Leon has the tendency to feed his ego at numerous times in any way he can whether it be boasting his long list of achievements or competing in senseless tasks he believes he can win. He is an attention hog, instantly seizing control of any situation he walks in. Leon is frequently outgoing introducing himself to any individual he finds interesting at the time. As a result, he is a spur of the moment character as long as there is an opportunity to feed his ego.

Due to his ego, Leon is extremely confident in himself and his abilities showing no fear with often leads to him walking into scenarios without really thinking. Leon is often reckless with his actions and finds himself improvising nearly everything he does. No whether this leads to success or failure is another matter and Leon rarely thinks that far ahead to actually bothering to worry. As a result, Leon is incredibly irresponsible and is prone to forgetting important information since he is far more concerned feeding his ever-growing ego and any other desires that strike him. His greatest weakness however is failure. Leon never accepts a loss of any sort, causing him to break down an immature rage citing reasons that he couldn't and shouldn't loss. As a result, Leon will force himself to repress the memory after a long stint of depression.

Leon is extremely blunt, refusing to walk around the truth. This is has often lead to arguments that rarely end well. This trait is due to the lack of common sense that struck Leon and his utter naivety. In reality, Leon is a solid performer in school, earning solid marks. This gives Leon solid analytical ability and intelligence at the cost of wisdom to actually apply it.

History: Leon was born in the city of Slateport but was quickly shipped over to Celadon along with the rest of his family before memories had actually developed in his tiny baby brain. His family life, however, was missing a key component: A mother. In a small family home with his working Father, Leon was often forced to remain at school for the majority of the day. He stayed with teachers, joined a few clubs or even played sports. In fact, he did anything to the pass the time. Over the years, he became more and more skilled in the activities he took part in. His teachers celebrated his achievements in the classroom. His clubs granted him numerous trophies for outstanding performance. His coaches recommended that he take his talent to the next level. These starling successes were further supported by his father who rewarded Leon will sorts of gifts were served the purposes of filling the void of non-existent family time.

The final few years in school, he became a decorated and renowned individual. He was among the top students and athletes and his "fame" gave birth to a newfound trait: Pride. Much like the ancient wielders of the original sin, Leon became engulfed in this new hubris. He bathed in his glory, took great pride in his accomplishments to the point, he actively sought out competition just to add more fuel to the fire that was his ego. And who could blame the lad? Leon's grades were a string of As and Bs, with his losses in non-important classes such as Art and Music. The many clubs he joined promoted him to the rank of President or Vice President in some way or form. He was the captain of several sports teams including the local Swim and Basketball teams. The popularity gained from these activites led to him become the target of many childish relationships with the female youth of Celadon as well as the man to hang out with in the male crowd. The fame lead to Leon landing a solid job at the bike shop earning the independent business lots of money. In a sense, Leon never experienced failure and was used to success and this notion lead to a man with a pride. One than can never be broken.

Having done all he could in the city of Celadon at least at the moment, Leon turned his attention to Pokemon. It was the only unconquered obstacle left in his life. After bitter long debates with his sole provider, he managed to convince his father to purchase him enough supplies to sent out his quest including new clothes and survival tools. With his final wishes sent in stone, Leon made his way to Pallet town with the hope of receiving a Pokemon for his quest so that he can one more achievement to the long list that has already been written down on the scroll of destiny.

Isaac, did you sense that as as-well?" Lucario asked telepathically as to avoid the women sitting at the table from eavesdropping. Kara had recently came to the table paying no attention to Isaac, asking a sense of confusion to overwhelm him. Isaac shrugged it off, assuming she was being moody or possibly the monthly virus had attacked her insides. In order to avoid arousing suspicion of him communicating with Lucario (though no one believed he actually had any sort of telepathic powers), he returned his attention to the menu and responded to Lucario's inquiry, who at this point was frustrated due to Isaac no responding.

"No, Luke. What is it? Is it something important?" he asked in return with his face still stuck in the menu.

"I think. I cannot tell for sure, but I sense distress Pokemon and humans alike. It is coming for some sort of major gathering of people and Pokemon. It is nearby as well, at least within the city limits," Lucario revealed attempting to concentrate on the sense to unravel more information. Isaac, on the other hand with his weaker powers, attempted to make sense of Lucario's information. There wasn't any major tournaments in the area as otherwise Isaac would enter in order to gauge the strength of Kanto trainers and Pokemon alike. A gym contest possibly? Maybe, especially considering Saffron is a city with a high population and commerce. But wait, there was a contest hall in the area and Isaac recalled both Tierran and Kara desiring to compete in one. Contests are popular, almost as popular as Pokemon Battles especially since Hoenn popularized them a few years ago.

"Hey Luke. Focus your concentration on the contest hall. It is possible that this distress is from there." Lucario physically nodded and closed his eyes once again. Some grunting was released and eventually he relaxed. He turned to his master and nodded with a serious and angry look on his face. Isaac patted Lucario on the head and smiled, as if he acknowledged the good work Lucario had performed. "I'll take as confirmation. Good work and I think we have a new objective." However, a new obstacle made itself prevalent: escaping.

Just as Isaac was making himself ready to leave, the waiter arrived at the scene demanding the selection of foods from his customers. He was tall, young and lanky and his face screamed of stress. Clearly the man had no sleep the night before and was in for a long day ahead of him. He took the orders of the women first following the old rule of ladies first, and with a small sigh of annoyance faced Isaac. "Sorry, my friend. I need to pass on food. Excuse me ladies," Isaac said in an apologetic tone. "I just got a call from an old friend that lives here in Saffron," he stated holding his blackberry. "She demands I meet her over at her place. But hey, call me when you are done. I am sure at that point, I'll be done." Taking a small piece of paper and robbing the waiter of his pen, he wrote his number and handed to the small celebrity. "Next time, food is on me." Rushing out of the place after hugging both women affectionately (more like an older brother than a wannabe lover), Isaac eventually escaped the place with no real problems or potential suspicions.

"Isaac follow me. The distress is growing." Lucario stated in a determined voice. "We have no time to lose." Lucario ran ahead with Isaac forced to follow. Dodging crowds, the physical prowess of the two was impressive seen in the combination of speed and agility. Of course, Lucario was superior in nearly every aspect due to the intense training he was put through but he was aware of his master's limits and made sure to keep a pace Isaac could match to some degree. In due time, the dyanmic duo reached their destination. It was large, opulent building and its design appeared new, brand new in fact. "The need for help is in there," Lucario pointed as they stood outside the structure.

"Can you get any readings as to the exact danger?"

"Give me a second. They appears to be a large machine. And lots of men and women stealing.....Pokemon? I cannot confirm that. And there is a lone young women standing with a physic type."

"Alright. This calls for reinforcements." Isaac laughed holding two additional Pokeballs; a Great Ball and Ultra Ball respectively.

***A few minutes later***

"Canalave Triple Threat Go!!!!!" A cry was howled into the air for everyone to hear despite the mad chaos that consumed the room like a terrible virus. But what is the Canalave Triple Threat? That is a simple question to answer. It is the overly dramatic name for Isaac's epic team of Pokemon, as well the unified teamwork they implement in any given scenario that forces them to all be used.

To begin Isaac's intervention, a floating steel Pokemon was to put into action. Sharing an appearance similar to a UFO, the Pokemon was called Magnezone. Floating over to the center of the field in the Contest Hall, Magnezone unleashed a devastating Discharge attack. The electric field was released, damaging the large machine as well as all enemy forces. But enemy forces, Isaac designated any individual wearing an uniform with a red "R" as well as any human individual attempting to harm innocent civilians and Pokemon. Isaac figured this attack, if performed correctly to accomplish multiple goals. The first was to calm the chaos. Any terrorist looking individual would be paralyzed. The machine would hopefully shut down or overheat. And most importantly, the other members of the triple threat could attack.

The second part of the plan would involve the large tank of a Pokemon. A crystal blue tank dubbed Metagross leapt into action quite literally. Using low power flash cannons as a boost, Metagross crashed on-top of the Hypno that was in one way or form affected by Magnezone's discharge whether by direct contact or by the distraction it caused. Placing a heavy claw and all 1200 pounds of its weight on Hypno's body, Metagross blasted the now crushed Hypno with a point blank Flash Cannon. To ensure a victory, Metagross kept its opponent pinned allowing for the next phase of the plan to occur.

The final part was to be performed by Lucario. With Magnezone's distracting attack unleashed into the arena and Metagross pinning the only direct threat, Lucario was able to finish the job: taking out the female trainer. Using Metagross as a launch pad, Lucario jumped off the crystal tank and delivered a mighty jumping kick to the stomach of the female trainer. Following her body's reaction the mighty unexpected blow, Lucario trampled her body and pinned her to the ground, raising an Aura induced fist ready to strike her face the second she resisted.

Isaac calmly walked through the case over to where Lucario pinned the female trainer. "Looks like you failed to defeat the Canalave Triple threat. No surprise there. I have to say for a plan I developed in a few seconds, it worked pretty good so far. I guess improv is my speciality. Anyway, you are going to tell me who you are and what you are doing here. Otherwise Lucario here is going to use you as a sparring partner and your Hypno is going to become a volleyball."
