Well i think the pokemon tv program is getting more and more worse.
I liked the kanto place best, johto was also good.
But then when hoeen came everything got kinda booring, so as Sinnoh. :'(

    What do you people think?

It's always been repetitive, you're just viewing Kanto/Orange/Johto with nostalgia tinted glasses.

Sinnoh is by far the best series. More character development, more varied usage of Pokemon, less COTD and more reoccurring characters, and probably the best rivals ever.

Yeah this is a duplicate thread of the link Blue_Drifblim posted ;) Use the seatch function before posting a potentially obvious thread.

Anyway, yes I do believe the anime is getting worse, it's as if they're running out of idea's.

I think that it's gotten boring ever since Hoenn...I think it just sorta...lost something. Or it could be that I don't like the Hoenn/Sinnoh Pokemon as well as I do Kanto/Johto Pokemon.

Quelle surprise, another one. I believe this post essentially sums up what I'm thinking right now.

@randomspot555: Thank gawd, someone else who thinks people are far too nostalgic when looking back at the early episodes. I watched some the other day and they hardly even compare. The art was inconsistent and sloppy, the script wooden and clichéd at times, the voice acting (at least in the dub) fairly deplorable and the whole affair is incredibly rushed. It's the same as what happens to the designs of Pokémon in the first generation. People criticise Pokémon such as Magmortar for being ugly, but can they honestly say that a pink ball of fat with a huge tail and a huger tongue is any more pleasing on the eye?

^^^That's another thing I don't get, the whole "omgzers save our voice actors" thing. I actually like many of the new voices, and if I didn't hear about the "controversy" through the Internet, I might never have noticed. I actually prefer many of the new voices over the old , with the possible exception of James.

I definitely agree with you. I don't often watch the dub, but I've heard the voices of Brock over the years, and his 'new' voice is almost identical to what it was near the end of Eric Stuart's tenure (at least now he doesn't sound like Yu-Gi-Oh!'s Seto Kaiba >>). Ash's voice was rarely consistent when voiced by Veronica Taylor, while Sarah Natochenny has put in a very good performance since she took over. I admit, the voices seem shaky in the first few weeks and months after PUSA took over, but after 90 dubbed episodes of Diamond and Pearl the VAs are confident with how they're voicing their respective characters.

(Plus, did anyone ever really like Taylor's Ash voice? >> I don't mean to say it was bad, but the voice was fairly whiny.)

I'm srry but some of you ppl are just lost in the older days and need to open your eyes...WE ARE IN 2009 now...things have to change up a bit because then pokemon would have ended long ago...I honestly think that the Sinnoh Saga has been the best yet...things have opened up more, and they have added a lot of changes throughout the time of pokemon. The voices, I don't see anything wrong in them at all...ppl need to learn that in life our voices change too, and some may not like it, but what can u do?...uh, nothing! so honestly, it's time to stop complaining about oh I hate this and I dislike that...yes we have our own opinions, but it kinda sucks hearing all of you whine and complain all the time...like I said it's 2009, things have changed, and you just gotta deal...

srry...but the truth can hurt sometimes!

If you don't like the new anime of pokemon, then why are u still watching it? because not everyone wants to hear ur dislikes and complaints all the time...
