Plot:

    Kanto Region, December 30th, 2009

It has been been a decade sine the fall of Team Rocket in Kanto. The regions civilians had been lulled into a false sense of peace throughout the region. Unaware that underlying traces of TR still operated in the region. The Indigo Plateou Champion, Red of Pallet Town, has left Kanto to train in the far-off region of Orre. Green, the Viridian City Gym Leader, has taken a right of leave and also left to train; in the distant Sinnoh region. In his place, Amarillo de la Bosque Verde, or, Yellow, has assumed the role of Virdian City's Gym Leader. Blue, International Secret Agent, has left for investigation of strange activity in Johto. What this all means is, Kanto is completely unprotected.

Professor Oak, however, had taken precautionary measures and given four Pokemon to four Trainers who have the potential to supercede Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow. However, will these Trainers be able to handle the forces of TR? Word has begun to spread that Lieutenents Surge, Koga, and Sabrina have each begun operation of Pokemon theft in the cities of Saffron, Vermillion, and Fushia. The Gym Leaders of Justice, Brock, Misty, Erika, and Blaine, have begun investigating, but so far, their efforts have come up fruitless...

Meanwhile, on a small island to the south coast of Kanto, a sinister Trainer finishes his prolonged training. His Pokemon in top form, he begins to journey to the mainland, while overhead in the far off island of Cinnabar, dark clouds begin to form...

    Objective:

You assume the role of one of four selected Trainers to help Professor Oak and the Gym Leaders of Justice in their investigation of the rumored activity of TR. Along the way you will encounter strange and myserious occurences and Pokemon, be brave, Kanto needs you.

    Rules:

    -Standard RP rules =P
-Be active, but patient, mkay? Don't hassle me with questions.
-Legendary Pokemon can be captured. HOWEVER, I will tell you what Legendary you encounter, no 'ifs' 'ands' or 'butts' about it. Got it? Good.
-Shiny Pokemon are a no-no. No encountering them, no catching them.
-Any post pertaining to the capture of a Pokemon MUST END AS FOLLOWED: The Poke Ball lay there, quivering to and fro. Or something to that effect. I determine whether or not you capture a wild Pokemon.
-You cannot register as Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, or Kotone.
-Your Pokemon has free rain to any attack it learns by leveling up or by breeding. No Porygons using Thunderbolt unless you obtain a TM, okay?
-If you say that you've found a rare item in your post, like a TM/HM or an evolution item, I decide what it is. No ifs, ands, or butts.
    -Keep it PG-13.

    My Part:

I will be playing the role of the Game Master. I'll basically be controlling TR Execs., the Gym Leaders and Prof. Oak along with the heroes from the manga. Other than that, the players have control over all other NPC conversations and interactions, items, and wild Pokemon.

    Final Note:

Begining January 5th, 2010, my internet access will be very limited, I should hope all participants will be patient and otherwise behave accordingly in my time of absense. I should get a regular amount of internet access on weekends, but Monday-Thursday I will most likely not be online.

  • Cooldude, your SU is accepted, but could you expand a bit more on the history section of Bronze? And also on the appearance, like what does Bronze wear, clothing-wise? Other than that, nicely done =)

  • I like it :D Links in with the manga nicely:

    Name: Copper
Title: Pokemon Trainer/Comedian? (Not sure if that's a title :P)
    Age: 15

Physical Appearance: Copper is the average height for a teenager his age - that is, about 6 feet. He isn't particularly well built or muscular, infact he's pretty skrawny and almost 'lanky'. He dosen't appear to have much muscle to him at all, however he is still energetic. His skin isn't anyhting special - it's the same, pale colour it has always been as he dosen't particularly focus on giving it a nice tan. However, this has kept his skin nice and smooth over time and it is quite healthy. He has short, brown hair which hangs downwards (though not by much, considering its length). Facially, Copper's expression always looks like he isn't worried at all. He has high cheekbones, his eyes are kept wide and his mouth usually finds itself in some sort of smile. This fun-loving look to him makes him appear slightly younger than he actually is.

Copper's favourite colour is green, thus it shows in what he wears. He has a white, long sleeve shirt on with a royal green, short sleeved one over the top of that, unbuttoned. To match this, he wears a unique pear of trousers - they are black, however they have large green stripes around the legs and the waist. To complete his outfit, he wears green and white baseball boots, a green mens' dress hat, and a grey backapack (which he usually has around only one shoulder. He also has a few accessories: a watch, sweatband, and a belt in which to keep pokeballs.

Personality: One word best describes Copper. Fun. He is a fun loving guy, he always goes that extra step to make sure he enjoys himself and he rarely lets things bother him. There can be a number of situations where Copper finds himself being the 'comic relief' of it all, or the only one who tries to lighten people's days up. He dosen't particularly understand sorrow, and can't understand why some people insist on wallowing in the past and living life pessimistically. His lack of understanding when it comes to panic or fear can obviously result in the patience of another breaking, resulting in Copper being lectured about 'morals' and 'what is most important' at the time. However, Copper has one, strong moral - that is to help others in need, and take life on with a smile on your face.

This way of life for Copper can make him, as he puts it, "like a Marmite guy," (Pardon the expression) - you either love him, or don't. On one hand, he can be a great guy to be with, relied on to make you laugh or simply there to be your friend. Copper's presence can make all the difference sometimes in social gatherings. On the other hand, trying to get him to slow down and take things seriously is like pulling teeth. He can have difficulty grasping when it's time to be serious about things - having difficulty knowing when and where certain things should be said. Nonetheless, all Copper tries to do is be a good, fun person: and he tries hard at it.

History: Copper was born and has grown up in Pewter City during his lifetime. There, he lived in an average house, big enough for his family of four - himself, his mother, father and his sister who is a year younger than he is. In this climate, he was introduced to many people of varying ages and experiences. When he was as young as three he found himself bonding and playing happily with other tots his age, without a care in the world. This behaviour, many assumed, came from his own parents, who were both also kind, compassionate and appriciative of others - especially their own children. Copper and his sister were never treated harshly or punished often - if anything, they were probably raised without much discipline at all. The fun, carefree attitude they developed basically made them nice people - something people always appreciate.

Whearas most kids would see the step to school as a big, dangerous aspect, Copper was anxious and took it in his stride. Right away, to the dismay of his teachers, he was bouncing from one place to the next, yabbering away to one child then going over to play with the next. As you would expect, this was of great benefit in his first two years of school. However, as he progressed and turned six, school became a more serious thing. Unfortunatley, Copper couldn't let go of his inner child and wasn't taking the education system seriously enough. There were a few occasions were there were tears - after all, Copper couldn't understand why the teachers were giving him into trouble, he was just being who he was. Nonetheless, nothing serious ever happened to him because, as mentioned, he wasn't ever 'bad' and had no wrong intentions. This caused him to have many friends in school. Infact, he was popular and well known enough to avoid the hassle of bullies. The leap to secondary school was no different and, while he was never the best acidemically, he remained the good guy - and his growing sense of humour was greatly appriciated by others.

At the age of fourteen, he realised that as school might not give him the best results for the future, he focused on what he was really good at. According to his friends, family and all those close to him, he was a very funny guy. He had always had that special gift of making others laugh and being comical. He took an interest in stand up comedy, and decided to pursue that goal when he left school. Practicing with others and developing new jokes, things looked set for him as soon as he turned old enough. So naturally, he was surprised when he found out he had been 'chosen' to fight Team Rocket by that old Oak guy down in Pallet.

    Starter: Squirtle
    Nickname: Koopa

    Pokemon #2: Teddiursa
    Nickname: Ursa

History: It wasn't the usual random encounter that brought Ursa and Copper together, or the whole 'being raised from an egg' thing. Truth be told, Copper had been banging on about getting a Teddiursa for his Christmas since he was twelve. It was his favourite pokemon, and loved the fact that it could look fun, yet be dangerous. When he was thirteen, his parents finally managed to do what they could, and got Copper a young Teddiursa for Christmas that year. Overjoyed, Copper gave him piles of attention, and was rarely seen without his new pokemon. He developed the nickame 'Ursa' for him, and has since been like a best friend to him. Ursa has warmed to Copper with little hesitation, and enjoys being with him.

Personality: Most of Ursa's traits had undoubtably rubbed off from Copper. For starters, he is a fun loving, comic type of pokemon. He loves to play and joke around, aswell as cheer others up when needed. This can cause Ursa to be a bit of a 'pest' to others - people and pokemon alike. Copper has found himself defending Ursa on a number of occasionas as a result. Unlike Copper, however, Ursa loves fighting and being tough. He usually throws his own weight around whenever he has the chance, and likes being picky with other pokemon. When battling, he has a tendancy to 'showboat' and treat it like a game. Oh, and he has a tremendous craving for honey.

And we're done ;) *Was up most of the night on this* :P Hope you like =3

Name: Halley Opal (named after Halley's Comet Opal)

    Title: Breeder

    Age: 14

Physical Appearance: Standing a five-three, Halley is a fair-skinned female weighing in at 110 pounds and maintaining an average build. Halley has some light scars from horseplay with not only her younger siblings, but with destructive Pokemon from the nursery as well. Hayley most noticeable body mark are her natural freckles, which scatter themselves around her nose and cheeks.

Halley's auburn red hair makes her differ from her brothers, which are all brunets. Halley wears her hair in low pigtails most of the time – having the life she does, Halley can only manage to style her hair to this extent, she has never messed with her hair or experimented with products or irons. Halley's eyes are light blue and get darker as light dims.

Halley is often seen, and often wears, for that matter, a baby blue polo with a white collar and navy buttons. As the polo has been stretched a lot by Pokemon, Halley hasn't even began to grow out of it, and it has became one of her most favorite, comfortable, shirts. Her pants are durable blue jeans which have lasted through everything, from house floods to Pokemon claws. Although they are torn in some places (most notably at the knees) the pants are favored by Halley. Halley wears black boots which have also been through thick and thin. Halley has sat at the same shoe size for two years and the boots are all she desires to wear.

Personality: Halley has her moments that bring out the best in her, but she also has the moments that really show her flaws. Halley takes opportunities when they are brought to her, but whether or not you can trust her to live up to the tasks is in her hands. Being the second oldest of her family, when Halley's mother died she had a lot to take care of, as her only older sibling preferred to only play with the Pokemon and not raise them. Halley is a supportive worker, a hard worker, but it depends on the scenario if you can trust her.

Halley, being the referee of sorts of her younger siblings' Pokemon battles, knows when to fight and when to surrender. She has trained many Pokemon from different regions (most of them from Hoenn) and has been around nearly every type. Regardless of appearance, nature, or abilities, Halley aspires to bring out the best in every Pokemon (including Bidoof..). However, there are many that scare her, most notably ghosts.

Halley has never had much of a friend, constantly moving from town to town when she was younger and such. Her only friends were the customers of Pokemon from the nursery and her family. Halley has only once experienced love – with an employee from the nursery she took eggs to and back.

Halley has been through good times and bad, but never lets it get to her. She's just one of those kinds of people – never give up, just keep moving.

History: Born to a family of five, Halley spent well over a third of her life in Hoenn, traveling with her family around the region and breeding pairs of unique Pokemon. Being the only girl born to a single mother, Halley was treasured and was taught the ways of raising Pokemon even before she could handle her own.

Halley's family soon moved to Johto around the time Halley had just turned 10. It was only a few weeks later Halley's mother had become unexpectedly ill with a rare, regional disease. She entrusted Halley with an egg in the family's home nursery before passing away a few days after. Halley held on to the egg and protected it from her wild brothers, as the only memory left of her mother was whatever would become of this egg. Her aunt, a scientist studying Pokemon evolution, became a legal guardian of the children and took them to live with her in Kanto.

Halley took the egg with her everywhere, locked it in a protective incubator at night, made sure her young siblings were in the bed before she said goodnight to her aunt. One morning, Halley woke up as the sun shined through the curtains, and took a peek at the egg's incubator. The egg was in pieces, and right as Halley started to panic, the Pokeball inside of the incubator began twitching. Halley released the Pokemon out of it's "home," only to be greeted by her Dratini, which she named Mneme. (more in the Pokemon's history)

Train, train, train was all Halley did in her spare time outside of breeding. Mneme was the closest thing to affection she had left. Her eldest brother, Remi, had left home to challenge Sinnoh's Pokemon League with the Pokemon Halley and her mother had trained years earlier. Her younger brothers had became rivals and left home for a journey across Kanto. Halley began to work at Professor Oak's lab to get some extra money and to train the Pokemon before they started their journey with a young, headstrong trainer. When the offer was brought up by the Professor to possibly save the region of Kanto, Halley definitely couldn't refuse.

    Starter: Eevee
Nickname: Aphrodite – named after the goddess of love.
    Pokemon #2: Dratini; Female
Nickname: Mneme – named after the muse of memory.

History: Halley nursed Mneme as an egg shortly before and after Halley's mother passed away from an illness when Halley was still young. The egg came from a nursery by the sea that took eggs to and from Johto from Kanto. Even after moving to the egg's home region, Halley protected the egg from temperatures and other life risks, and went as far as locking the egg's incubator with a lock. Halley woke up one morning to see the egg's shell in pieces and, just before freaking out and running out of the door, she noticed the Pokeball in the incubator starting to shake. Halley opened the Pokeball to reveal a Dratini, who she named Mneme, after the muse of memory, which fit well – Mneme was the only memory of her mother Halley had left, and even through tough times, she always remembered that Mneme was there for her, despite only being a Pokemon.

Personality: Being a dragon-type with a quiet nature, Mneme is quite humble and never causes much of a ruckus. Mneme only trusts being in a Pokeball or being with her rightful owner, Halley. Mneme is quite the ambitious Dratini, however, and isn't afraid to fight for something she wants. However, Mneme tries to control her short temper, as she knows the consequences of being to fierce – a whole night with Halley's brothers, who pull the young dragon's tail, wrestle with her and rough around with her. Mneme has quite a personality as a Pokemon, however, and, even though she has only began to battle as part of this offer from the Professor, Mneme never gives up. Never.

    ****

Wow. I worked on that a long time. XD If there's anything I need to fix up, please feel free to tell. (:

  • EDIT: Lol, that's lucky. two people posted while I was writing this and neither of them chose bulbasaur. I'm the last of the four to sign up but I still got a free choice of pokemon XD.

    Name: Quartz Burson (female)

    Title: Semi-Channeler

    Age: 13

Physical Appearance: Quartz is an average five foot six and although she hasn't weighed herself in a long time, Quartz' body appears to be normal as well. Exceedingly long curls of silver hair hang down to the base of her back and a few loose strands fall over Quartz' unusually pinkish looking eyes. She has pale skin that [fortunately] tans instead of getting freckles, so it is a nice darker shade. Most of the time Quartz has her nails painted pink or silver to match her eyes or hair respectively. On the left side of Quartz' neck is a very large mole, however it is usually covered in hair and doesn't get noticed very much. Because she started puberty early, Quartz is a little bit more developed than your average thirteen-year-old. In addition, her feet are slightly larger than average, and Quartz sometimes gets embarrassed when she buys shoes in size eight-and-a-half.

Dark rings can always be found beneath Quartz' unusual pink eyes because she gets very little sleep, although sometimes- but rarely -she tries to hide this with some make-up. Quartz' eyelashes are thinner and less beautiful than normal, so she likes to put on a lot of mascera even though she finds it ticklish. For some reason, Quartz' lips dry out and become chapped very easily and loose pieces of skin peel off. However, this is made up for by her perfectly straight teeth- which she achieved through four years of braces.

A typical outfit for Quartz contains a skort (shorts + skirt = skort, in case you didn't know) that goes down about halfway to her knees, and is usually pink, purple, blue, or silver. She likes to wear very tall boots with a soft interior that keep her legs warm in cold places, as well as knee-high socks that extend above her boots. Normally the shirt Quartz wears is some color that matches her shirt with the kind of sleeves that make it look like she is wearing a regular shirt with a t-shirt over it. Quartz rarely- if ever -wears jewelry of any kind or items in her hair. She does this because she finds such trinkets to be 'annoying and virtually pointless.'

Personality: Quartz is always getting embarrassed. She likes to hide nearly everything about herself in fear that if someone found out they would make fun of her for it. Sometimes people think that Quartz is just secretive, but this is really because even having someone very close know a very small fact of her being embarrasses Quartz. She also tends to keep to herself and stay away from large groups of people, meaining simply that Quartz is very shy.

The opposite can be said when Quartz is around pokemon. She loves her pokemon, all pokemon in fact, and will spill out every one of her secrets to them if she thinks it will help. Quartz is very open and friendly around pokemon; even those that belong to other trainers. It has always been Quartz' life long dream to meet one of the legendary pokemon, but so far she hasn't even come close to achieving that. Now though, I have told you too much. Quartz is getting embarrassed.

History: Quartz was born on Cinnabar Island to a family who didn't live there, but was rather visiting on vacation. You see, Quartz was born two weeks premature- not that big of a deal of course except for the fact that her mom had wanted to relax and had gone on a trip. So, truth be told, Quartz was born in a hotel bathroom (and that is the most 'embarrassing' secret that she tries to hide). Immediately after her birth, the vacation was cut short and newborn Quartz, her twelve-year-old sister Melissa, her five-year-old brother Kevin, and their parents headed back to Violet Town.

While growing up in violet town, Quartz grew a strong bond with one of the gastly living in the tower. Some of the channelers that visited there told Quartz that she should become a channeler herself and raise ghost pokemon. But Quartz thought that the idea seemed a bit too frightening, so she decided that she would be a 'semi-channeler' and capture mainly ghost type pokemon, but have plenty of others. After that, Quartz became a little bit more adventurous and started to explore the tower more, and one time she even saw a cute little cubone running around the tombstones. Eventually though, Quartz became bored with hanging around gastlies all day and so she took to fishing.

Quartz wasn't a devout fisher, or a good one. It seemed that she was unlucky as could be until one day when she was out on the on the dock-like route that connected Violet Town to Fuscia City. It was then that she met one of professor Oak's aids, and the two became good friends. A few weeks later the aid, whose name was Mary, told Quartz that she had been chosen to take another pokemon [in addition to her ghastly] and go out journeying through the region carefully aware of Team Rocket. Quartz thought that this seemed fun so she told her parents and left for Pallet town where she would meet professor Oak and recieve a pokemon.

    ____________________________

    Starter: Bulbasaur

    Nickname: Tulip

    ____________________________

    Pokemon #2: Gastly

    Nickname: Noxious "Nox"

History: Noxious and Quartz met in Violet Town, just outside the tower (and if you are wondering why I keep calling it just 'the tower', it is because I dont know the real name X_x). Quartz was trying to be brave and wanted to go inside, but in the end she decided that she was too afraid and began to walk home. That was when a gastly appeared 'out of no where' in front of her. The little girl- she was only seven at the time -shrieked in terror, but the gastly wouldn't leave her alone. That was when she found out that 'Noxious' just wanted to be friends, so Quartz decided that from then on she would play with him every day in the lower two levels of the tower. Eventually, the manager of the town's pokemart gave Quartz a free pokeball because he had seen her playing with Noxious in the tower so many times. Quartz was worried that her pokemon friend wouldn't want to be caught, so she was surprised when he happily leapt inside the pokeball and allowed it to capture him. After that, Quartz and Noxious were even better friends- they were completely inseperable.

Personality: Noxious is far from being your steriotypical gastly- he doesn't like being mean or pulling pranks, and rather than avoiding humans he loves being around people. Since a lot of people who don't have pokemon are scared of ghost-types, Noxious hates being a gastly and always wishes he were some cute pichu that everyone would just adore. However, after he became friends with Quartz Noxious felt better about himself and bonded with her quickly. Now that he has a friend, Noxious is very overprotective of his trainer and sometimes reffered to by other people as 'Quartz' little bodygaurd', and while Quartz finds this embarrassing, Noxious doesn't seem to mind.

  • Alright =D Jewel of Life, Whimsy, and Zeph, you are all accepted!

OOC: Just to let you all know, you all begin in Oak's Laboratory in Pallet Town.

Professor Oak handed the four Trainers their respective Pokemon, "Now, remember you four, these Pokemon are strictly on loan for now. Each of them is stronger than your average Pokemon, which isn't too unlikely since they came from some of Kanto's best trainers," he said with a laugh, "but, anyways, please, remember, your duties are to protect our beloved Kanto. With the sudden rise in unknown criminal activitey, we're at our wit's end." The old man sighed, Red, Green, Blue, Kanto's best, were all out doing their own thing, leaving the passive Yellow to guard Kanto herself with the minimal aid of the gym Leaders of Justice.

Oak's Aide rushed in, panting and doused with sweat, "Pro-professor!!"

Knocked out of his stupor, the professor looked his aide up and down and arched an eyebrow, "Yes? What is it?"

"I-I just came from Viridian Forest, sir. There...there are strange things going on!"

Oak was suddenly very interested, his gaze a stern and concerned one, "Like what?"

"Well, the Pokemon, they've undergone rapid evolution. The Caterpie into Metapod, the Metapod into Butterfree, all in under five minutes! The same for the Weedle and Venonat! Even the Pikachu!"

"Strange...The Caterpie and Weedle family are known for quick evolution, but nothing this fast...And what's more strange is that Pikachu only evolved by means of an evolution stone..."

"It all began after a high-pitch frequency sounded off."

"A radio frequency? Alright then," turning to the four young Trainers, the professor breathed a deep sigh, "Copper, Opal, Bronze, Quartz, I know it may be a bit soon, but I want you four to investigate the goings on in Viridian Forest. I must make leave for Johto right away."

This frequency could be coming from Goldenrod...Oak thought to himself.

Oak's Aide followed the professor as he departed from the lab, leaving the four Trainers to converse amongst themselves.

Halley's eyes scanned the small lab and her ears listened sharply as the Professor explained the pokeball she had received upon entering the lab that afternoon.

"Now, remember you four, these Pokemon are strictly on loan for now. Each of them is stronger than your average Pokemon, which isn't too unlikely since they came from some of Kanto's best trainers," Halley couldn't help but smile at Oak's quiet laughter as she continued to stare at the computers and machines in each corner of the room. "But, anyways, please, remember, your duties are to protect our beloved Kanto. With the sudden rise in unknown criminal activity, we're at our wit's end."

Halley felt a slight twitch in her hand as the red and white ball she held on to tightly was being almost forced open by it's "resident." Halley smiled at the pokeball, her reflection showing through its glossy shade of red.

The door was pulled open and a middle-aged blonde male dressed in a lab coat stumbled into the room, sweat running down his forehead and panting. "Pro-professor!"

The professor turned around to his aide, smirking. He must think the aide's trying to pull a joke, Halley thought. "Yes, what is it?"

The blonde aide wiped his forehead with his coat sleeve, answering quite shakily, "I-I just came from the Viridian Forest, sir. There... there are strange things going on!"

The professor suddenly became concerned, turning his attention from Halley and the other three to the aide. "Like what?" Halley's attention focused on the aide, a feeling of worry filling her stomach.

"Well, the Pokemon, they've undergone rapid evolution. The Caterpie into Metapod, the Metapod into Butterfree, all in under five minutes! The same for the Weedle and Venonat! Even the Pikachu!" the aide tried to calm himself down, but continue to shake nervously.

"Strange...The Caterpie and Weedle family are known for quick evolution, but nothing this fast...And what's more strange is that Pikachu only evolved by means of an evolution stone..." Oak's voice remained calm and collected, and, while the aide still had a shaky voice, had managed to pull himself together and was no longer quivering.

"It all began after a high-pitch frequency sounded off."

    A radio frequency? How...

"A radio frequency? Alright then," Oak sighed and turned to Halley and the other three, glancing back at the aide once more before averting attention from the aide in an attempt to calm himself down. "Copper, Halley, Bronze, Quartz, I know it may be a bit soon, but I want you four to investigate the goings on in Viridian Forest. I must make leave for Johto right away."

With that, the professor grabbed a suitcase and exited the lab, his aide following closely behind him. Halley focused her attention on the Pokeball, which, throughout the whole discussion had still continued to twitch rapidly. "You want out, huh.." Halley mumbled to the ball. "I can't let you out quite yet, okay?"

With a swift turn, Halley turned to the others, who were quietly muttering amongst themselves - literally, amongst themselves, not to one another - and taking quick glances at the machines in the lab as well as the pokeballs they had received. Alright, Halley Opal, you have to break the silence somehow. "So..." Yeah, that was great. One word.

  • OOC: Excellent, Whimsy ^^ I love how you implemented parts of Oak's and the Aide's speech in your post.

    IC:

Meanwhile, in a bustling city in Johto, a young girl with long brown hair wearing a black dress and heels was scounting the area. Beside her, walked a Wigglytuff of obvious power. "Hmm...what's that radio frequency coming from the tower...?" She asked herself. The girl looked to her left, where a looming radio tower stood, "The radio tower...come on, Wigglytuff, this could be dangerous..." she reached into a pocket in her dress and pulled out a Poke Gear, "Come in, Silver..."

Bronze was barely listening to the professor. He had Butterfrees (butterflies) in his stomach, and a for a split second he was thinking about not going. He quickly pushed that thought out of his head. "The professor is trusting me with this job. I dont want to let him down," he thought to himself.

One of the trainers broke the silence. "so...." was all that came out. "Well, I'm going to get there ASAP," siad Bronze. It was his first mission, He didn't want to mess it up.

Bronze set out to viridean forest not knowing what to expect... He decided to let out his two pokemon so they could walk together. Shinx briefly glanced at charmander, then went to Bronzes side. Charmander glanced at Shinx and growled. Bronze returned his pokemon. He didn't want to have two pokemon fighting. He had to get to Viridian Forest. That would just slow him down.

When he got to Viridian City, He was amazed. He forgot how Big the city was and how tall the buildings were. As he went past the Pokemon Center, He saw someone rushing up to him. It was Nurse Joy. "How is your Shinx doing?" she asked politely.

"It is doing fine... His wound is healing surprisengly well." "May i see it?" asked Nurse Joy. "Yeah, he said Pulling out a pokeball. he sent out Charmander, not knowing he grabbed the wrong pokeball. "oops" said Bronze, returning it. "When did you get that pokemon?" Nurse Joy asked. "listen" Bronze said firmly, :I have to be somewhere soon, but il talk to you later, ok?" They siad their goodbyes qnd Bronze was of again.

Bronzes legs were getting tired, so he decided to rest on a bench nearby. "Just for a few minutes," he thought to himself. He decided to let out his charmandder so they coul bond.

    To be continued....

  • OOC: Good first post, cooldude, but the grammar in the last paragraph and ending sentence could use a bit of work.

    IC:

Yellow was doing her daily rounds of her home city of Viridian. She'd been appointed replacement gym leader to Green during his absense by the Pokemon Association. Dody, her Dodrio, cawwed as one of his heads noticed a young boy sitting on a bench with a Charmander.

    Hmmm? A new Trainer?

Yellow thought back for a moment; she vaguely remembers a conversation she and Professor Oak had about some new Trainers that would be aiding the gym Leaders of Justice in protecting Kanto.

Could he be one of the new trainers?...

Deciding to take the chance of humiliation, the young girl rode on Dody towards the boy. Chuchu, Yellow's Pikachu who was riding on Yellow's head, looked interestingly at the Charmander. "Umm, hello?" Yellow called to the boy.

"Well, I'm going to go there ASAP,"

Halley took a quick glance at the male that had left the lab before turning her attention back to the pokeball she had in her hand, which had begun to remain still. Halley stuffed the pokeball in one of her pockets before leaving the lab, anticipating the other two trainers weren't too far behind.

Halley strolled up the path to her home on the edge of a hill not too far from Viridian City. Opening the door, she heard the scratching of a Rattata from the sliding glass doors. Kicking the door and making the rat Pokemon run to hide in one of the groups of other hatched Pokemon, Halley grabbed her bag from the table and checked to make sure it had everything she might need on her first "mission."

"You came back for a bit to see me, huh?" her Aunt Clarissa called from the kitchen, chuckling before dropping her mixing bowl and pulling Halley into an embrace. "I'm gonna miss you when you're gone on these 'adventures,' bud. Don't run off like your brothers and never come visit me. All I have is the Pokemon!"

Halley laughed, squeezing her aunt tighter. "Take care of them. Especially the eggs. Put the blankets on the incubators at night and bring them in if it gets cold. Don't let Pidgey or Aipom touch them!"

"I won't, sweetie," Clarissa replied, laughing. "Your mom would be very proud of you for helping the Professor. Don't let him down, now, he's too old to get stressed!" The two girls laughed in unison as Halley put her two pokeballs inside the bag, throwing the bag over her neck and letting the strap hang on her right shoulder. She checked to make sure she had an extra supply of pokeballs before counting a total of four. Quick note to self, Halley thought. Don't run out of balls.

Waving goodbye to her aunt, Halley walked out of the door with a smile on her face as she headed towards Route 1. Searching in her bag for a pokeball, she found one and quickly released its captive from inside – Mneme, the Dratini.

"Dratini!" Mneme wrapped around it's owner, nuzzling Halley on the cheek. Halley smiled before pulling out the other pokeball, releasing her newest Pokemon.

"Eevee!" the Pokemon called, staring at its new family, tilting its head to the side. Mneme stared, unblinking, at its new partner, unwrapping itself from Halley and gliding over to Eevee, sniffing the Pokemon curiously. Eevee playfully tackled Mneme, startling the Dratini, who, aside from the nursery Pokemon, had never played with another Pokemon before. "Dratini?"

"Mneme," Halley called to the dragon, who's attention was quickly directed towards her owner. "Play." The Dratini knew of this command and started tickling the Eevee with the end of her tail, making the so-called 'Evolution Pokemon' smile. "You know what? I'll call you Aphrodite. Mneme, Aphrodite, and Halley. That's cool, right guys?"

After a few minutes of watching the two Pokemon play, Halley returned them to their pokeballs and put them in her bag. Halley began ambling up the path to Viridian City, where she would hopefully wait for the others. Viridian City is just ahead. I should get there soon.

With her legs tired and needing a rest, Halley entered a Pokemon Center, sitting at a table and watching a Wigglypuff nearby play with a young trainer. I'll stay here for five minutes. Then, I have to get the Viridian Forest. No stalling!

Oak sighed as he watched hills and plains flash by. The tram from Saffron to Goldenrod was known for being fast.

I hope things aren't too bad over there...God help poor Professor Elm...First his Totodile is stolen, then Cydnaquil runs off with that Gold boy, Chikorita disappears, and now this...

-Arriving in Goldenrod City, all passengers please gather belongings and prepare to exit-

Oak grabbed his suitcase and prepared to head ot of the tram.

  • Quartz shook nervously as professor Oak handed her the pokeball containing the bulbasaur. She had already decided to call her new pokemon 'Tulip', since it was a girl, and Quartz was looking foreward to training her. However, Quartz worried that she was not up to the challenge; it would be very embarrassing if something were to go horribly wrong. After quickly snatching the ball out of Oak's hands, Quartz stepped back and listened intently to what he had to say.

"Now, remember you four, these Pokemon are strictly on loan for now. Each of them is stronger than your average Pokemon, which isn't too unlikely since they came from some of Kanto's best trainers," he said with a laugh, "but, anyways, please, remember, your duties are to protect our beloved Kanto. With the sudden rise in unknown criminal activitey, we're at our wit's end."

Okay, I can do this, yes, of course I can! Quartz thought to herself, trying to be optimistic. Carefully, she put Tulip's pokeball onto her belt and was waiting around to see if the others were starting to leave. Quartz shuddered at the thought of how embarrassing it would be to walk out before it was time to go.

Just then, a person who appeared to be one of professor Oak's aids ran in with sweat running down his face and stopped in front of the professor for just a second before speaking.

"Pro-professor!!" The aid exclaimed after a quick pant.

Oak gave his aid a funny look and then responded. "Yes? What is it?"

Taking another deep breath, the man began again. "I-I just came from Viridian Forest, sir. There...there are strange things going on!"

Now the professor seemed a bit more intent on hearing what his aid had to say. "Like what?"

"Well, the Pokemon, they've undergone rapid evolution. The Caterpie into Metapod, the Metapod into Butterfree, all in under five minutes! The same for the Weedle and Venonat! Even the Pikachu!" The aid now looked at Oak hoping that the professor knew what to do, or at least that was how Quartz interpreted his facial expression.

Professor Oak paused to think a little bit, and continued to pause even as he spoke after that."Strange...The Caterpie and Weedle family are known for quick evolution, but nothing this fast...And what's more strange is that Pikachu only evolved by means of an evolution stone..."

"It all began after a high-pitch frequency sounded off."
    The man answered matter-of-fact-ily.

Now Quartz was getting nervous again. Don't worry you can do this... you can do this... and if you can't, Noxious can. He's pretty strong, not very strong, but pretty strong. Quartz thought to herself a little longer before the silence in the room was interupted by a girl Quartz didn't recognize saying so. After that, one of the boys spoke up.

"Well, I'm going to get there ASAP." The boy quickly headed out and soon after, the girl who was first to speak also walked out. Quartz took a deep breath and the she too headed over to the door, which automatically slid open in time for her to walk out.

The weather seemed pretty nice here in Pallet town; the sun was shining, and the few clouds in the sky were white and puffy- not the kind you would expect rain from. Seeing what a glorious day it was, Quartz felt renewed and happily she strolled among the scant houses until she came to where the urban area ended and forest began. Quartz hadn't often walked along routes where pokemon were found and would attack, so she took a quick breath- for millionth time that day -and walked out onto the road to begin her journey.

    * * *

To Quartz' surprise, it didn't take long to reach Viridian. Along the way she had seen few pokemon, and to the young trainer's relief, none of them had bothered her. Now Quartz was in the big city, and Viridian was very different from Pallet. There were a lot more buildings and it seemed like the kind of place where someone could get lost. Looking around, Quartz saw a little girl playing with a very small and weak looking bulbasaur, which reminded Quartz that she had not yet let Tulip out of her pokeball. Embarrassed, she took out the red-and-white sphere and threw it out into the air, revealing a much more poweful looking bulbasaur.

"Hey there little girl, I'm Quartz, and I've decided to call you Tulip. Do you like that name?" Tulip looked around confused for a few seconds, but then stared up at her trainer gleefully.

"Bulba bulba, bulbasaur!" Quartz had no idea what her pokemon had said, but it seemed like she was happy with her new name.

"Okay then, Tulip, you need to meet the third member of our team," Quartz paused and grabbed the second pokeball off of her belt, "come on out Noxious!" The ball was thrown and out came a gastly in a flash of red light. Once he saw Tulip, Noxious glided up happily and muttered what Quartz assumed to be a 'hello'. Tulip bowed her head shyly and backed away- it seemed like she was a little scared. But, with the assurance from Noxious, Tulip soon seemed a bit more comfortable. Great, they seem to get along okay. Now, to investigate Viridian forest!

  • "So. To make a long story short, we need to go to Viridian Forest, right?" Copper asked the other three trainers. However just as he finished his question two of them were out the door.

"...guys?" He sighed, and turned to the remaining girl there, "C'mon," he said with a ridiculous grin, "we'll go!" He was about to leave, but he remembered the pokeball still in his hand. Kinda stupid how he'd just missed it like that - well, that was Copper for you. He threw the ball to the ground and from it burst a small, blue turtle creature.

"Squiir?" the pokemon asked inquisitively, eyes half open. Lazy thing must've been sleeping.

"Hey there," Copper said crouching down and shaking the surprised Squirtle's hand, "I'm Copper, and you're a Squirtle." he said with a laugh. To which he got a sort of, "T_T" look from the water pokemon. "But Squirtle's kinda old isn't it?" Without waiting for a response, Copper continued, "Aha! I'll call you Koopa. Y'know, 'coz... you look like, a koopa...?" Squirtle just stared bewildered at how fast this boy could talk. "Okay, we're settled I guess!" He returned 'Koopa' into it's pokeball and walked to the door. before he left though, he turned to the other trainer,

"You wanna come too? Maybe we can catch the others. Honestly, it's like they couldn't stand this place or something..."

There was no-one there. The last one had left too.

"Wow." he said bewildered, "It must be something about me." Copper left aswell.

    ----------

It really was a beautiful day out. Nice breeze, nice skies, nice bolt of electricity in the distance.

    ...

Copper ran towards Viridian Forest. He didn't want to miss this, no chance. Finally he could get in on some action! He passed the usuall small dirt paths, meadows and the like. Around ten or so minutes he found himself in Viridian City. He wanted to keep going, however a small inconveniently positioned crack in the road stopped him. He fell down face flat, legs in the air. It would have been a lot more embarrasing had he not swiftly rolled forwards and got back up on his feet. He coughed out a bit of dirt and brushed himself off, as if nothing ever happened.

Only now did he realise he was panting from the running. He also skipped breakfast like he usually does. He decided to stop for a while and have a quick bite to eat. The electricity was still firing off in the forest - he had time to wait.

    IC:

    In Viridian Forest,

"Keep searching! That phantom Pokemon is here somewhere!" Barked a man with spiky blonde hair in green cameo. He had a sneer on his face and greed in his eye.

A small force of men and women in black uniforms with red R's emblazed on them saluted and ran out into the forest.

Even if we don't find that Pokemon, these newly evolved ones may be a big enough haul to take back...He thought as he glanced at a crate full of PokeBalls containing Pokemon that were forced to undergo evolution.

(OOC: Sorry for not posting in awhile, I've had a lot to do and I've been working on this post in small bits for a few days now.)

Nearly tripping on a loose shoelace as she exited the Pokemon Center, Halley cracked her knuckles and scanned her surroundings. Viridian Forest was just north – it wouldn't be too long now.

Following the path to Route 2, Halley found her way through the tall grasses to the entrance to Viridian Forest, not wasting anytime to enter the strange, dark woodland she had only once explored. Taking careful steps, Halley yelped at every snapping of a twig, looking in all directions to see if someone was following her. Although her shoes were fine for the forest's damp soil and abundance of puddles from rain earlier in the year, Halley knew that she'd better get this examination done – and done as soon as possible.

"Now, where are the Pokemon?" Halley mumbled, walking over tree roots to an area of the forest that had a minimal amount of trees. Managing to get through a fallen tree with ease, she stopped dead in her tracks when she saw something – a Caterpie in a tree; and it was evolving. It now hung from the pine tree as a Metapod, and Halley studied the cocoon Pokemon carefully before tip-toeing to the bug creature and reaching up to touch it's bumpy, silky surface before the Metapod disappeared in a flash of light. The light twisted, manipulated, until it created something entirely different from the once-Metapod: a Butterfree.

"Wait, whoa!" Halley whispered, her eyes focused on the butterfly-Pokemon, who was staring at her as well, curiously. "So, what the Aide said was true..."

Halley reached out to caress the Butterfree's wing – which the Butterfree didn't react to and just continued watching Halley, waiting for the trainer to say something else.

"If only you could tell me what was going on here in the forest," Halley mumbled, stroking the tips of the Butterfree's wings.
