So on the last episode of Diamond and Pearl, Ash was pretty insistent on wanting to challenge a Champion League. Brock would become a Pokemon Doctor, pretty certain, Dawn would become Top Coordinator, I don't see why don't see why not since she was second in the Sinnoh Grande Festival, and Ash would become Pokemon Master.

Seeing as Pokemon Black and White is "fast paced", there may be space for a post-league saga. So maybe Ash will win the league and then face the Champion League. And he wins, becomes Pokemon Master and we can get rid of him. The Champion League can have old favourites like Gary, Paul and Cynthia, maybe even Flint. Misty, May and Dawn can come to cheer Ash on, while also facing challenges of their own. It'll be great. It would also explain why Cynthia is Unova in the games.

So what do you guys think of a Champion League saga? Good idea?

I didn't know being Pokemon Master was that easy, I thought you had to beat every league in the world and catch every Pokemon. They should have made him Master ages ago >!<

Well, in some perspective - yes it sounds like a good idea. But honestly, he only has 2 badges at the moment, I wouldn't go as far as speculating a champion league right now, theres a bigger chance of him losing again.

Even if we do see a champion league - it wouldn't be so soon, something like at the end of the anime. (which probably will never happen xD)

As long as the Games are still going the anime will follow. So the end of the anime probably will never come.

But I still like the idea of him beat the Unova league and then face the Elite, but they'd never make him defeat the champion, due to the games.

They have had absolutely no problem with getting rid of Misty and Brock, who are were very important characters in the anime. I actually do believe there is a chance of Ash getting replaced, the episodes are obviously much more rushed than the other seasons, which I really like. I just hated watching filler after filler, and gen4 took it way too far. I personally have no problem with Ash getting replaced, as long as they don't do a complete reboot on the series. I would love for them to have a Champions league saga and then ditch him, I believe it's about time he achieves something.

I guess I'm the only real Ash fan left lol, I don't like the idea but I think the end of Ash's adventure is nearing. If it is and they replace him with a new character, the show will likely go downhill and I'll stop watching it. I saw that last episode and the way he was talking about challenging a champion league did convince me that this might be his last adventure.

I don't like the idea of a total new protagonist either. What I was thinking, would be for them to take one (or more) of the traveling partners and/or rivals (NOT DREW), and follow them.

I do quite like this idea, and it could be possible :) but I doubt they would get rid of Ash completely.. I mean, Ash has Pikachu, and Pikachu is basically the mascot for the entire series.. so you can't really have one without the other now.

Plus, I'm just hoping they don't get rid of Ash, as much as I think he is a complete noob sometimes, I would miss him not being the protagonist :P

Well they could make Ash at least make it to the elite four, look at his team so far if each of them gets fully evolved he would have a great team going by game status (excluding legendarys)

Thing is, these aren't the games. The trainers in the anime are actually somewhat intelligent. In the games, you're the greatest trainer ever. In the anime, anyone can be the very best that no one ever was. Personally, I'd say Ash is only above average. He's showing potential, but isn't anything amazing... Yet...

The thought of Ash leaving sickens me, and I hate the idea of the Champion League. However, If this really is the end (Which it's not) it would be a fitting ending. Right now I would rather have another Battle Frontier Saga or a filler saga with its own tournament league.

In the first Black & White episode, Trip mentioned how you need all 8 Unova badges to get into the Unova League, so no champsionships yet.

What??? MysticFlygon your not the only Ash fan left I'm one tooXD I hate the idea of Ash ever getting replaced, it'd be just the same thing over again any ways if some newbie kid replaced him. Just like how Dawn replacing May was getting old, think of it the same way for gyms/leagues. However, I don't want the same old thing, some newbie character comes in and beats Ash, just do what the games are doing this time.
