I think that Nintendo should have done what they did in america with the Pokemon colosseum and jirachi bonus disk thing. The only way you can get Jirachi in the UK is buy getting and completing Pokemon Channel, which (in my opinion) is a complete waste of time and money.

If you are from the UK, can you post your thoughts here - i want to know what other people think about this.

Well if this is going to be the only way of achieving Jirachi, then i think it's sort of a waste of money, i'd agree. But why should we be so much different from America!? Are you sure that this is official? Because i'm not really convinced.
And please don't double post, Chris, it's against the rules. Read them and if you feel that you've forgotten to include a certain piece of information in your post, there's a small button at the bottom of your post called the "Edit" button; please use it.

    It's the same in Australia...
I want Jirachi. I don't want Pokemon Channel...
Hopefully they will have some sort of Jirachi promo later with Colosseum.. though it seems unlikely. I heard that in the UK you get a snowglobe for preordering Colosseum?

Geez guys. If your a Pok?mon fanatic, you'll want every game they release. Also, you'd probably want all the Pok?mon you can get in the Game Boy games. Jirachi is strictly for Pok?maniacs. Besides, it's just one Pok?mon. It isn't the strongest or fastest. All it has that's worth it is it's Doom Desire. (Strongest steel attack, but like Solar Beam, it needs TWO WHOLE TURNS! No move can speed it up.) About half the Pok?mon in the Ruby/Saphire could easily beat Jirachi with good move sets. Moist the other legendaries could beat it with no sweat.

No way Pok?mon Channel can be the worst game ever. In fact, it can be a really fun game if you can't think of anything else to do. It's worth it if and ONLY if you are a true Pok?fan.

actually you are wrong, if you use the move "sunny day" it makes it so solar beam doesn't take 2 turns.

Pokemon Channel. Tch. What a waste of time. I refuse to buy anything Pokemon-related that's wholey based on the anime cartoon. Enough people already think that the cartoon came first.

Anyway, where have you heard that the Jirachi disc won't come with Pokemon Colloseum? The game doen't arrive here until May after all.

Duh, it's based on the show. But people should alread know that the game came out first, not the show. Is it so bad just to watch Pok?mon once in a while?

P.S. I was talking about Doom Desire, not Solar Beam! For that Solar beam tactic to work anyways, you have to teach Jirachi BOTH the TMs. It can't learn neither Sunny Day OR Solar Beam by itself!

Um, it's true. I bought Pokemon Channel here in Ireland and I have to complete the game before I can download Jirachi onto my Ruby. I haven't started playing, but the manual makes this look like the most boring game ever(They even have a version of paint in it, that'll be fun!).

Now you I like. That show is evil. Long live the rpg(ish) games. Down with commercialistic games based on ash "can't" catchem and his band of lowlifes.

^ hehe, i agree. oh yeh, sorry for d-posting earlier.....
anyway, nintendo always do the better things for america. they got Jirachi with colosseum!!! talk about lucky!

    AHAHAHAHAH!
HAHAHA! The TV show is soooo rubbish!
    HAHAHA!!!!

I'd buy an Action Replay -- codes have been made to create Jirachi that are identical to those found on the bonus disc. Alternatively, you could borrow/rent the game to get Jirachi.

I'm not from the UK, but I know that many Brits have chosen the former option. The GBA Pok?mon games lack region-coding, so an American Jirachi from the bonus disc could "legally" be transferred to an American Ruby/Sapphire cartridge, and again to a British one. This makes the AR a viable option. Plus, you get to use the AR for your other games and you don't have to buy Channel. If you want to get Channel, then that's another matter -- just get it! If you are hesitant to get it (or impatient), however, then go for the AR.

And thats why im preordering Leaf Green from America. . .hahaha. . .

Also I was wondering, i Pokemon that unpopular all over the uk so that anyone who likes it (openly) is scorned by the rest of society? Oh what an unfair world we live in!

well im in australia, and i just bought Pokemon Channel for really cheap compared to most gamecube games around, and i finished what needs to be completed to get Jirachi in a couple of days, simply by changing the date and time on the gamecube.
by doing this u can get jirachi within hours of starting the game!
Jirachi is at lvl 5 when u recieve it and comes with the ganlon berry.
Channel is a very childish simple game but its good to have a little bit of fun with, i also like seeing my fav pokemon in 3d, seen as il have to wait a while to get Colosseum.

Hey Gizmo Adz, you're a legend mate. I'll just nip down to Blockbuster to rent out Pokemon Channel, change the clock dates to get Jirachi then take it back. Cheers.

    Change the date?

What do you have to do specifically to get Jirachii. I just turned on the game and watched the first part of the anime. It made me cringe, I couldn't keep playing!

Well, if you don't like the show, then don't play the game! To get Jirachi, you have to unlock all 5 parts of the anime.

Is Pok?mon that unpopular all over the world so that anyone who (openly) likes pok?mon is scorned by the rest of society??? Im just curious really!
