Intro and how this hack started (In spoilers in case you don't want to read it)

Hiya. You probably don't know me, as I don't tend to post much on these forums. I'm Mario_Bones, a newb hacker, and creator of Pokemon Lazuli version. This is basically a two-man production(I'mworking on this with Pyronite), but if anyone's able to help when I get stuck that would be great. And there's always room for more spriters.
We came up with the idea for this hack years ago, but only recently discovered the world of ROM hacking. We tried to think up a unique concept to base the game around, and then thought of some things to make the game unique, but left it at that because we didn't realise that we could actually bring our ideas into reality. Then we found Chaos Black. We thought it was expertly done because we didn't know anything about ROM hacking, but now, two years on, I found Pokecommunity, and Pokemon Lazuli Version was reborn!

Storyline
"Every 500 years in the Illenji region, the Comet of Fate can be seen in orbit. This comet is unique as it is said to have some sort of link to the mysterious Celestial Tower. As many will go a lifetime without seeing the comet; not much is known about this link; although ancient carvings depict a passage opening to the heavens."

Today, you have woken up after you were attacked because you ventured into the long grass without a Pokemon. You meet up with your friend from out of town and decide to investigate a series of strange goings-on involving some thugs. Prof. Evergreen, the local professor, gives you a Pokemon to defend yourself. You and your friend team up to defeat them, but after a meeting with a familiar detective, what happens next will change your fates forever...

Features
-New Region Of Illenji. It has its own unique features and residents.
-New starter triangle Say goodbye to the generic Fire, Water, Grass starters. In Lazuli version you have a choice of a Dark, Psychic or Fighting starter
-A wide variety of Pokemon Lazuli version has an all-star cast of Pokemon, ranging from all four generations, as well as 74 Fakemon
-New tiles, music and events
-Two new types Space and Light. Could someone tell me how to add an extra type without erasing old ones though?
-An epic storyline Involving an evil team bent on dominating the heavens and an evolving Legendary Pokemon. No more generic storyline typical of Pokemon games.
-A variety of characters Ranging from a familiar detective, a kooky fanboy scientist and (for once) your Dad stays at home while your Mum is a Gym Leader
-Gym Leaders now require strategy Now you can't just go in with an uber powerhouse and wipe the floor with the gyms. You'll need to think things through in order to survive.
-Many cameos from a variety of characters from other games, anime and movies Most aren't involved in the storyline though, so don't fret
-Some Pokemon have alternate forms Like in Platinum. They work like normal evolutions, only they aren't in the Pokedex.
-Balanced Legendaries I thought I'd do this so that the Legendaries are uber, just not super uber. Why? Because it just makes the game a bit fairer. Anyone can beat the E4 and such with a legendary in official games, and where's the fun in that?
There's probably many more, I've just forgotten them...

What you can do to help
Pyronite and I will be handling most areas of the hack, but here's some positions that would help if filled:
-Spriters (Even if you just sprite a scratch of an already existing Pokemon, you will get credit) If it's good... And if you don't like our Fakemon (if they look cheaply spliced or something) feel free to make a new sprite and we'll replace them
-Musicians (Lets face it, not many people can do this well)
-Script Consultant (I want to do most scripting myself, so if there's a pro scripter that I can turn to in case I get stuck, that would be greatly appreciated)
-Groupies
-Mapper (Just in case we fall flat on our faces)

Progress
Not very far to be honest, just started this thread to make sure no one steals our idea.
Pyronite may post some sprites later if he wants. It's up to him as he made most of them, I just help with the trainers and the ideas.
I'm currently planning the Illenji Dex and learning to script.
