I think I went with Crocanaw (?).

Yeah, it's also been years since I have played it, but most of the time that was the one I encountered.

Bayleef. I walked out the Mayor's door and there was a guy so I attacked him. Poor kid never saw it coming.

I picked Quilava so I had a fire Pokemon on my team. If I didn't have Quagsire with me, I most likely would have chosen Croconaw, because Totodile and it's evolutions are one of my favorite Pokemon. <3
