I am thinking about buying Pokemon Colosseum for my GCN. I just want to know how you can use your pokemon from Ruby and Sapphire on there. Can I use a GameBoy Player or do I have to use a GameBoy Advance?
You can use a GameBoy Player if you have:
> 2 GCNs
> 1 Coliseum disc
> 1 GBA pak
> a GB Player attached to one of the GCNs
> a GBA-GCN connection cable
> a memory card
You should also either use two TVs, or use alternate A/V connections on one TV so you can switch back and forth between Coliseum and the GBA game.
No! Don't buy it, it's a horrible waste of money! :\
I remember looking forward to it really early this year, and it was the biggest dissapointment of my life. It doesn't even have 1/4 of the content that Stadium 1 had...
You also need 48 blocks of memory free on your card. (For who knows WHAT reason, as you get only three boxes of storage total, instead of 20 in the Stadium games.)
I'm just trying to save your life, and spare you some agony, trust me...it's not worth it. :\

I was disappointed in the game as well but bought it for collector purposes. I've almost unlocked the Ho-oh... Oh back to the question of buying the game yeah I would at this point after all the prices on it have dropped. Even more so after Christmas.
There are many reasons to get Pokemon Colosseum:
Can catch Pokemon not available anywhere else, even on Fire Red/Leaf Green.
Get all 3 Legendary dogs - easier than FR/LG.
Rare berries that are only found on Colosseum, all of which are actually useful in competitive battles.
Easy levelling - I got my Lapras from L24 to L65 today in only four hours just using Colosseum.
Variety of challenges both in game and in the Colosseum mode, including L100 and L50 challenges, and the Colosseum Mt Battle, a real test of endurance and Pokemon skill
The pleasure of seeing your hard-earned Pokemon in full glorious 3D with wicked-looking moves.
