Pokemon Crystal Sprite Revamp Project!

Okay guys, it's Impo here with a project I thought people might be interested in: revamping the animations of Pokemon Crystal. After some discussion with Logiedan and The 100 Mega Shock, I've decided that revamping the old crystal sprites, with their animations, could put the B/W animations to shame. So, I'm here to present the Pokemon Crystal Sprite Revamp Project!

Basically, the goal of this project is to revamp all the sprites of Pokemon from Pokemon Crystal. All Unowns and shinies are included. It seems big, but with the help of the community it shall be fun and challenging!

So, if you are up to helping this project, just pick a sprite from the Revamp Sheet! Make sure the sprite is from Crystal, though. It should be easy to tell - the unrevamped ones are the ones that need to be revamped. Hover over the sprite you would like to do to check if it hasn't been reserved. If you do help the project, you'll get credit and a nice warm feeling for helping someone! I'll list some things below to help people out, and then we can begin!

How to revamp individual frames​

Okay, so you may be really eager to start revamping, but you may have hit a road block. How do I re-animate this thing? The answer is simple, and will be explained.
If you have GIMP, and possibly Photoshop, you can save the gif file and then open it. It's individual frames will be shown and you can revamp from there. Then just save over the Crystal sprite when you are finished! Easy as! If you don't have GIMP or Photoshop then I have no clue what to do.

Tips and Tricks​

• Referring to a fifth generation sprite to imitate the colour and shading can improve your sprite.
• Keeping the frame speed the same as it was before should be obvious, but just so you know.
• Changing the size of the sprite to 60 x 60 is preferred. That doesn't mean resize it and make the quality crappy. That means the Pokemon stays the same size, but the image it is on is larger. God, I'm so bad at explaining that. Anything over can not be submitted.
• This isn't a trick or tip, but a friendly suggestion - Do not steal someone elses work. Not even a single frame.

Yes! The background! That's the word I was looking for!
Also, it's 56 x 56, not 64.

but the animation was exactly the same speed as the original? and yeah, imma redo the shading on the arm/neck where the dark spot is. i was half asleep when i did this.

It shouldn't be hard. Remember when doing revamps you change the color palette, shading patten, you don't have to try and cut corners just to fit with the original's pattern and limit of colors. (More advanced revamps re-size and often scratch parts in to mimic the newer style)

Anyways I have another done (sorry for not calling them first) as well as an edit made to the Dunsparce.

Had to make this faster (x4 to be exact) since it looked odd when playing at regular speed.

Just fixed the speed problem with this as well as some minor border issues. Might come back to edit it more.

Sort of a noob and I couldn't figure out how to do this on Photoshop, and had to use Loogix.com to make the Gif which has a max of ten frames so it's shorter than it should be.

If anyone could tell me how to change frames on Photoshop, I'd be glad to.

It's wonderful! But the crystal one had some sort of energy around it when it closed its eyes. I'm not sure how to show frames in Photoshop (I have GIMP)

The glow is there, but it's hard to see with the white background. I just can't seem to make a transparent background with paint! :/

Yeah, paint doesn't do transparency unfortunately. But you can see the glow if you tilt your monitor away from you.

I think the thing that makes it easy to tell if mew is glow is that when the glow is on the skin changes subtly as well, so it might be a bit hard to recreate.
