Pokemon: Dark Cloud 1 & 2

    Hi! This is gonna be my first hack, and I am a GIGANTIC n00b...

    I am a big fan of The games Dark Cloud 1 & 2 that I stole have.
    So I thought I could make a pokemon game out of it!
    I would need some help doing this of course.

    And I want to assemble a Hack Team.
    Although, im not sure how it works around.
    If someone could explain how a Hacking Team works, it would greatly appreciated! ^_^
    For some reason, i can't make a thread in the team discussions, so just discuss here.

    I need someone who is a good: (or multiple people can help)

    SCRIPTER + COMPILER (maybe not if i can compile the right way)
    TILESET MAKER + TILESET INSERTER (maybe not if someone can give me a tut about tilesets)
    SPRITER (i really need help with that)

    Anyways, It basically has the same plot (almost) as in the Dark Cloud games.
    If you don't know the plot, you can go on YouTube and search "Dark Cloud" or "Dark Cloud 2"

    Im gonna make a Dark Cloud 2 hack first, cuz i kind of like it better than the first.

    Rom Base:
    Pokemon Ruby


    Story:
    You as a kid find out that something weird is going around. For some reason the town Mayor lock the gates so
    people can't go outside of town. You find out a way to get outside, and a quest awaits!


    Features:
    Completely new plot
    Some new Pokes
    Get all three starters: Charmander, Mudkip, Treeko
    Dungeons and Floors

    Please add some more information about your hack, such as the basic story, the features you will have, and which ROM you will be hacking.

    If you just want to make a team for your hack, then post a new thread in the Team Discussions section.

    oh, and you should know, it's impossible to add more pokemon without overwriting current ones.

    Can you stop saying that you cannot add pokemon without replacing others because there are like about 25 free spots on a rom where you add pokemon. I'm pretty sure that I heard you say that before.

    Hey, i just finished my REAL Dark Cloud 2 game.
    And i just simply LOVED the battle music in the end! :D
    Can Anyone tell me how to replace the music in the pokemon games???
    Did i mention i need a spriter? :'(
     
    The banners look really nice, but what do you mean:
    you know how to replace pokemon, but not to put new ones in?

    When you change stats and stuff in a program, go down to where it says celebii and after it should be like question marks, click on it and change them to your new POkemon.

    I know that there are a bunch of question marks there.
    And I know that they can be replaced like "adding" a new pokemon.
    But the only thing is that pokepic gives it wierd pallets.

    I can map and i can script.

    I just cant compile the right way.

    Now, the first screen contains toxicroak floating
    I need it to stay to the ground

    and the second contains toxicroaks backsprite pallet messed up​

    can any1 help. that would be really appeciated.​

    No offense, but take any constructive criticism you can, it helps if you let it...

    I believe you have to keep the pallets the way they are or the game will misrender the sprite... I could be wrong though. Generally any time you use a color that isn't in the pallet already the game will convert it to some other pallet-friendly color.

    Then again, I'm just an advanced newb, so you may want to ignore me...
