Pokemon: Demons in paradise
Plot
Far away from civilization lies an island that has been left almost completely untouched by humans for over three thousand years, it is located in the northern hemisphere of the Pokemon world and is separated from outside contact by hundreds of miles of sea. It's location means that the only humans to visit it in recent history have been the survivors of ship wrecks and the frequency of humans reaching the island is so low that the majority of Pokemon living on the island have never even heard of a human. Most of the species of Pokemon that exist inhabit the island there are however exceptions, Pokemon that require humans influences to exist cannot be found on the island, a full list of these Pokemon can be found bellow.
Now after three thousand years humans have returned to the island, and their intentions are not good. The humans that have managed to find the island are a group of roughly two hundred Pokemon poachers and although they are out numbered by an astronomical amount, the equipment they have with them more than makes up for it. On board their ship, which is currently moored off the coast of the island, they have the latest in modern weaponry, body armor, transport and communication as well as enough supplies to last well over three months. The poachers have been on the island for three days now and they have established a base camp in woodlands, on a small peninsular that juts off east coast of the island. Their scouts have managed to get about one hundred miles inland and have been sending back maps of the routes that the poachers' trucks can traverse back to the main group via long range laptop communication.
The Pokemon that inhabit this island were at first unsure what to think about the arrival of the humans, but it was not long before the poachers began to capture Pokemon by the truck load. Pokemon that escaped told their tales to other Pokemon and not fully understanding what the humans were soon named demons*. Not knowing a thing about machinery the Pokemon started inventing their own names for things, guns were called "iron thunder", body armor that the humans wore was misunderstood making the Pokemon think the poachers had skin like rocks. The more contact the Pokemon had with the poachers the less they seemed to understand about them.
On the day after the arrival of the poachers a council was called to decide what should be done, the elders across the whole of the eastern peninsular came together at twilight meadow to discuss the plan of action. Talking and voting went on all through the night until it was finally decided by a very small minority that the Pokemon should fight back. The three best Pokemon at fighting across the eastern peninsular Justice the Gallade, Kama the Lucario and Misfortune the Umbreon were all called for to scout out the enemy forces. It is now sunset on the third day and having engaged the enemy forces Justice and his companions are ready to give their report to the elders. An emergency meeting has been called and all Pokemon across the eastern peninsular are to attend because whatever the outcome of this meeting immediate action must be taken.
Types of poacher
Despite the poachers being extremely dishonest and undisciplined they have each seem to have a specific job. How this has came about is unknown.
Scouts
These are the first type of poacher that you will normally meet, and although they are fairly weak, their presence may mean a much larger group is heading your way. They normally carry only the bare essentials and can't survive for long with out meeting with a larger group to restock their supplies. Scouts usually travel in groups of up to three, they don't carry stunning weapons, instead they only carry live ammunition to be used in self defense only. The Pokemon that they use tend to be quite weak but fairly fast or have good senses to aid them in their work, for this reason they tend to be specialists in normal, flying, bug and electric Pokemon. If a scout doesn't have a Pokemon to ride then they may use quad-bike, motorbike or dune buggy for transport.
Hunters
Almost half of the poachers fit into this category, hunters make up the main forces of the poachers. They travel in large groups, normally as a convoy of jeeps and trucks. The purpose of the hunters is to capture Pokemon and return them to the ship, for this reason they have a full range of stun weapons as well as live ammunition. On a whole the hunters do not specialize in any one type, however individuals may be specialists in any type of Pokemon except from dragon.
Terrain specialists units
These are the least common of all the types of poachers, each unit is made up of between five and seven members, all of them trained to survive in a particular habitat. There is one unit for each of the following jungle and swampland, forest and tundra, desert and savanna and finally mountains and caves. Each unit will carry a range of Pokemon to both match the environment they are working in and gain the advantage against Pokemon living there. For example the forest and tundra unit would mostly use ice, grass, fire, fighting and electric Pokemon. These units can survive for weeks at a time with out contact with other units and are trained in dealing with captured Pokemon for extended periods of time.
They carry a much better set of equipment that the rest of the poachers but only for their given environment.
Elite Poachers
These are the very best of all the poachers not a lot is known about them at all, however they are known to exist. They are reputed to have full teams of fully evolved Pokemon.
Unnatural Pokemon
The following Pokemon all require humans so they are not native spices on the island, however the poachers that came to the island can still use them. It does not in any way meant these Pokemon will not appear in the RP, it just means that before the poachers arrived on the island there were non of these Pokemon on the island.

- My word is final and I reserve the right to change the rules.
- No bunnying, god-modding or what ever else you want to call taking over another person's character.
- You may create NPC both human and Pokemon, however I expect you to not create a ton at once. Just please use your common sense on this one. Just to let you know scouts and hunters can be created when ever you want, if you want to create a terrain specialist then let me know rather than just going ahead and doing it since these play a major part in the story. You will not be able to create Elite Poachers.
- Please post frequently and if for any reason you know in advance you will be away for any long stretch of time please let me know.
- Abide by the RP section rules this includes making your posts of an appropriate length.
- I will be rather lenient on moves and not ask you to specify what moves you know. You will also be allowed as many moves as you wish but please do not go straight for the most powerful moves. At the beginning of this RP all players are low level Pokemon, most likely between levels five and ten, as the RP progresses you may use more powerful moves. I will not be enforcing a strict move set either, if it seems appropriate then, I will allow you to use a move regardless of the move set of the Pokemon you are using.
- Finally have fun, this RP is intended two reasons, one of them is writing this story and the second is just to have fun.
