4th Gen Pokemon Diamond & Pearl Patch on Everybody's Nintendo Channel

    I don't know if anyone knows this but on the Japanese Nintendo channel "Everybody's Nintendo" they have released a patch for Diamond & Pearl, but there seems to be little news about what the patch actully contains, weather the JPN versions of the game have a fault or maybe to stop the glitches that allow them to the event only legendary's or if it new pokemon or a new region (ok the last two are a long shot because we would have heard somthing by now if it was new Pokemon or a new Region) but w/e it is hopefully it's somthing new that we can look forward to getting this month(yes the channel is out this month for everyone else).

    Also if anyone does know what it is please tell us.
     
    I thought they fixed the Darkmin glitch already?

    but, I MUST now: do you still have all your stuff (Pokemon, Items, Badges, ect.)? and, HOW do you get it? (do you download it and ur game is patched? or do you have to buy another D/P that has the patch?)
     
    You will download the patch through the Everybody's Nintendo channel onto you DS and then patch the game, you will not need a new game.
     
    Well, the game itself only uses about 10% of the entire flash card, so I kinda saw this coming.
    But this is awesome. Perhaps we can go to Johto now (which is what I have been predicting, as opposed to DuskGold and DawnSilver)

    2. but why would Nintendo let us DOWNLOAD a patch for that rather than just making another game? they'd lose Monies! O_O
     
    They'll probably make us pay Wii Points for the patch or something retarded like that.

    You will download it the same way you play Mulitplayer with just one Cart on DS games via download play, and as i said before there is no info about what the patch does but i highly doubt that Nintendo will release a patch that will remove anything from your game, also it is true that Pokemon Diamond and Pearl only use about 10% of there space so it is possible that a download containing Johto could become avaible to download, but i doubt this download will be it as we would have heard about it by now.

    Everybody's Nintendo Channel is a channel on the Wii which will allow people to watch videos about upcoming Wii and DS games, and also allow's people to download Demos and Patches for DS games, and at the moment you cannot get it unless you have a Japanese Wii, but the channel will be released this month and will be downloadable via the Wii shop channel for free.

    Nope your wrong, everything on the Everybody's Nintendo Channel is free. (atleast at the moment it is)

    so... i cant get the patch?
    unless can u do it over wifi, like connect to a wii through wifi to get it from someone if i dont have it??

    You will need to be in the same room as the Wii to get it so unless you have any friends who have Wii's or are able to get one soon you will not be able to get the new patch.

    No, as i said before you NEED to download the patch from the Everybodies Nintendo Channel it can only be transfered from that, so you NEED to be able to get to a Wii to get the patch.

    *ahem* So curiosity speaking here, what was the source of your information?
    To be honest, it isn't Nintendo's style to create big game-changing patches when, as ~KiTsUnE pointed out, they could make a whole new game and charge money for it.

    Also, with the supposed 3rd 4th generation title on the way, why not include any major update in that? Heck, that's the whole purpose of it anyways - to reel in more money.
    Anything that is present in this title that isn't in the current ones will give people more of an incentive to buy it. Actually, maybe it's something to do with Giratina's second form, because as far as I know, it isn't present in D/P at the moment.

    Oh, and ~KiTsUnE is right, the Darkrai/Shaymin glitch only existed in early Japanese copies of D/P, so it isn't likely to be a patch for that.
     
    I suppose they want to fool the Japanese people and completely fix up the current glitch. They'll probably add some small features, mini game or something. It wouldn't be somthing major because not everyone has a wii.
    I don't think Nintendo will add the new Giratina form, they probably save that for the 3rd d/p. So don't expect too much. ;)
