At Perry's words, Rey felt himself involuntarily stiffen. Allowing the trainer to move past him toward the other group, Rey started toward Professor Elm. Moving past the digital Professor without a word, Rey took hold of a Pokenav, registered it, then hesitantly pressed a button.
Now saving . . .
Nothing too suspicious yet . . . Feeling an icy, paralyzing uneasiness, Rey forced his hand toward the "Logout" option. He pressed it. Nothing. His scarlet gaze gaining intensity, he again pressed it. A faint glow surrounded him before fading. Again the logout had failed.
I knew I shouldn't have bought this game . . . He paused. But, I know I'm not the only one who-- Recalling the conversation he overheard, he pocketed the Pokenav. Then there are ten altogether with this "malfunction" in their games. Turning to the female nearby, he spoke.
"The Professor said your name was Charlie. Tell me, can you log out?"
