I finally got to the park, and my dog, being his water loving self, dragged me straight over to a creek running in the back. I took the dog off the leash so he could play in the water, and waited on the bank, but while I wasn't paying attention, my dog came behind me and jumping up, used his weight to send me straight into the water.

I heard a splash nearby, and walked in that direction to find a creek, and I saw that girl had been pushed in by her dog. I quickly walked in, lifting her out of the water, and put her down on the other shore. "You okay?"

"I think so" I said, shivering.. the cold water all over me was a nasty shock, and had been enough to send me into moderate hypthermia. The retreiver that had shoved me into the water was playing in the creek without a care in the world. I doubted it even occured to him that the water was cold enough to have possibly killed me.

"Here, you could catch something if you're not careful." I said, taking off my greatcoat and quickly draping it over the girl, not caring if she saw the sword I had on my back. "What's your name?" I asked her, trying to get her talking to distract her from the cold until my coat got her warm again.

"I'm Eclipse" I said, and I knew it'd take a while before i started warming up, but at least my temp wouldn't drop any further. I didn't say anything else, as my shivering was being an intense destraction. Being from the norhtern areas I was used to hypothermic situations, but I had never been soaked and cold at the same time, which was a deadly combanation.

"My name's Seph." I said, then looked around, and said "What brings someone like you to this rather dismal part of the park?" I asked, wondering why such a pretty girl would come to a place like this.

"a lack of lakes around. The only place that's close where my dog can take a swim is here. It's strange though, he's not the type to try and drown me" I said, as I finally started to heat up.

"Well, I mostly come here because I like the peace and quiet, the lack of human contact. I don't know about you, but just about everyone in my life is a blundering idiot..." I said, trailing off, and looking around again at the surroundings, turning my back to Eclipse.

OOC: Just to remind you, you do know what's on his back, right?

I mentally cursed myself for not thinking about turning my back to her, but I turned to face her anyway and said "Have you ever had a day, whe you feel as though everything that can go wrong is going to, and you know it, but you don't know how?" I asked, hoping she would understand, unlike everyone else.

"yeah, but a lot of people think I'm paranoid when I start thinking that. but then everythign goes wrong" I said, as my dog came out of the water and laid next to me.

"True," I began "The crazies are always crazy until they're right, and then afterwards they're still crazy, they just got lucky." I said, smiling sarcastically. "I do hope that I'm wrong this time though." I said, as the smile faded.

"yeah, totay's been feeling wrong for me as well. First I'm never wrong about school days, and my dog would never shove me into the water, it's not like him. it's like everythings building up to finally explode in total chaos." I said, looking at the water. Whatever had come over my dog was long gone,as he partially dozed off next to me, as I stroked him absentmindedly.

"That's why I try to come prepared." I said, unsheathing my sword and twirling it experimentally. "Anything that's going to happen is going to have to deal with me, and I know how to use this." I said, handing the sword to Eclipse, the hilt facing her.

I took the sword, saying "I've learned some defencive swordplay, but by no means am I an expert" and after I said that I focused on the weight and the balence of the sword. I knew that judging by the fact the balence was off for me I wouldn't be able to use it properly, but it had to be an excellent blade for those that were accostumed to it.

Celeste pulled Dream away from the girl, muttering an apology.

She headed to a rather dismal part of the park, cursing to herself for going there. SHe sat down, becoming immersed in the fog around her.

A pair of strong hands lifted her into the air. Celeste waved her arms madly, giggling in bliss.

"My little Celeste!" a deep voice called, though it seemed far away.

She wanted to call out. To cry "Daddy!", but her toung hadn't developed enough to speak.

The hands dropped her suddenly. A figure sunk into the shadows.

"Wait!" she wanted to cry. "Don't leave me again!"

Darkness overcame her...

Celeste was snapped back to reality by Dream's warm toung on her cold skin. She patted the dog absently. The thoughts of the man were still floating in her head.

"I'm more than competent, but I wouldn't exactly call myself an expert either." I said, letting her examine the blade. "My family's kept that blade for generations, it's said to have been made by masamune's pupil, Muramasa." I said, I knew I was ranting, but I didn't really care for some reason...

"it's an impressive blade. Too bad i wouldn't be capable of using it" i said darkly, handing the blade back, knowing I had a nasty tendencey of slashing myself
