Conner's eyes filled with easiness as he heard Anais' offer.
"That would be fantastic!" He exclaimed, running around the block to see that Meowth had most likely gone through the next route. Abby quickly followed him behind, but Pandora was much more cautious. She looked down in her bag and saw the Feebas' pokeball wiggle, and with that, she quickly ran with Abby, not wanting to be left alone with the Feebas if it were to escape. Conner passed his white coat and his white scarf to Abby, now that he was able to see Meowth chasing a purple creature of some sort. Pandora stayed behind the group, checking behind her shoulder every now and then to see if anyone else was with her, even though she could clearly see Abby in front of her. After much wandering, The group finally stood in front of the Dark Cave, which was very close to Violet. The sun was getting ready to set, and they still hadn't found Meowth. They were getting ready to give up, but only until Pandora noticed a shiny charm moving in the cave.
"Over there!" She exclaimed, still checking her bag, as well as her shoulder, making sure there was going to be no surprises. Conner hastily ran into the cave, but found that he was unable to see absolutely nothing. Abby placed Cleffa on the ground, and let her wander into the cave,
"Could you use flash for us?" She asked. Cleffa gladly gave Abby the peace sign with her 2 fingers, indicating that it would be no problem. She walked into the cave, bumping into a clothy substance every now-and-then, then began to move her fingers from side… To side… until the cave was illuminated with a bright flash. Regardless, Pandora stayed outside of the cave with Abby.
"I see Meowth!" Conner shouted, watching the Meowth look curiously at a Rattata, which was cornered on the ground by a wall, and Meowth's paws. Despite the caution Meowth took to get to it, it wasn't quite moving.
"Uh-oh… We should get it to a pokecenter…" Conner suggested, but Meowth was thinking otherwise as he licked his lips.
"Alright then, go pokeball!" Conner attempted to throw a pokeball at the Rattata before Meowth could get to it, but a Zubat pushed the pokeball away after swooping down from the ceiling. Meowth was very peeved to find such an ignorant creature, so he immediately started chasing it.
"Something tells me I'll be going through this more than just once…" Conner muttered to himself as he rushed to the side of the Rattata. He picked up the pokeball he threw earlier, and pushed a button on it which covered the Rattata in a red light, and captured it. As he was doing this, Meowth continued to pester the Zubat, but it seemed to be too high for him.
"Uh… Try using a scratch?" Conner asked, but noticed soon after, that's what it was doing in the first place. Abby peaked inside the cave, and saw the Zubat attacking Meowth, just about to use poison sting on Meowth. Before it was able to do so, Cleffa quickly jumped in with another flash, but that didn't do much considering that the Zubat was blind anyways.
"Cleffa, use metronome!" Cleffa gave Abby the same signal as before, and moved her hands from side to side, until she finally stopped. She first put her tiny hand on her chest, feeling her cheeks puff up. She then opened up her mouth, releasing a large burst of flames out of her system, taking down the Zubat. Pandora peaked inside, but immediately let out a yelp,
"EWW THERE'S A GIANT BAT DEAD ON THE GROUND EWW!!!" She shrieked even louder after noticing her pokeball was shaking again. Seeing how Abby was already recalling Cleffa and not even touching her bag, Conner quickly grasped onto another pokeball, and threw it at the Zubat. After about 20 seconds of movement, the ball remained locked. He picked it up, placed in his bag, and walked outside the cave meeting up with the group again.
