i noticed nobody was talking about it so here it is how to duplicate on pokemon emerald!
First: go to battle frontier and go to the big orange and blue building and put the pokemon you want to duplicate in the storage box, exit the storage and save the game.
Two: After you saved the game withdraw the pokemon you want to duplicate{you can only duplicate 5 at a time or you will erase 1 of you pokemon} walk over two the lady closed to the box who does the multi-player battle she will say enter two elegible pokemon anyones fine then she will say do you want to save the game? yes and wait for two or three seconds when it says saving don't touch turn off the game boy. turn it back on and if done correctly you should have the pokemon that you duplicated in your party and your box

That is because threads like this one pop up every few weeks or so and most people know it by now. Thanks for the refresher. Failed to mention you can duplicate items with this method too though.

It'll say "Want to save the game?" and then you say yes. Wait a couple of seconds until the proper would you like the save the game appears. You can turn it off then. Not what you said. And the Pokemon you choose for the thing DO matter. They're the Pokemon that get duplicated. You can only duplicate three. So...not only is this known by a lot, it's also sorta untrue, as far as I know.

the sad thing about duplication is, unless you're trying to trade or get more items, it becomes kinda useless after a while. It did work well in helping create an all-Medicham team, though.

Maybe nobody was talking about this because it's in the FAQ.

So, um, thanks for the thought and all, but... :|
