Emerald hack: Pokemon Emerald Final v7.41 (updated January 18th 2023)

HI! looking at a few different emerald hacks. Really love the look of this - what is the level curve/difficulty like? I find the vanilla game quite boring when progress is that slow. Also is there a way we can get a technician ability on Breloom? its a fan fave for a reason.

Just out of interest, but why no Fairy addition? It doesn't make a huge difference to me, but curious nonetheless.
 

  • Deluxe has challenge options toggled by the top-left bookcase in Birch's lab. They cannot be turned off once enabled.
Is this feature implemented yet? I'm playing Deluxe, but I get the same "It's crammed with books on Pokemon" dialouge.

No not yet, meant to but it fell through the cracks, will do next version
 
Yo. Can Anyone help me, I patched the "Deluxe with Gen VI Exp Share - Vanilla Wilds Plus.ips" along with the optional patches. but there doesn't seem to be any difference in the game specially on wild pokemons and Day-Night System. my pokedex is national but I haven't encounter a gen 1 pokemon.

Edit: Nevermind, it turns out the patch I used has only the vanilla + exclusive pokemon from ruby/saphire. I got confuse on the the patch naming, didnt noticed the 3rd one with no wild on it.

Has CAulin actually successfully used final as his base game. I read in the thread he had trouble using this.

I believe they decided to start fresh because of the scope of their hack
 
I'm on mobile, and I did all my patching with the Rom Patcher JS website, and everything is working fine, all the optional patches I chose are working. But then I decided to make a moemon version, but it's giving an invalid checksum error. I don't know how to patch it right

Edit: I didn't do it at first because I was worried It'd mess something up, but I decided I wasn't far enough for it to matter if it got messed up and just dit it anyway. So far it seems to work fine, and I can even switch between the two versions with the same save file. I guess checksum doesn't matter for it?

Hello there wanted to congratulate you on the mod/hack

Just a quick question
It seems that when im using the deluxe with exp share + vanilla wilds plus patch along with a few optional patches (including the one that adds day night in battles)
the day and night system is entirely absent ??
However when im using the same deluxe patch but without the exp share addon the day night system works without any problems

Am i missing something or is it something that can't be helped? because frankly thats the only thing that keeps it from being perfect

Thanks for any tips or troubleshooting

Yeah the checksum is almost always going to not match due to optional patches, just ignore it

That's a bug that was recently brought to my attention. Not sure why it does that but thank you for telling me!

So I'm using the legacy variant, how can I enable the exp gain after catching a wild pokemon? There doesn't seem to be an option for it at all anywhere, at least not in the options screen.
Should be on by default.
 
Also, I noticed that the sound effects for when you cut down a tree or smash a rock is no longer there for some reason. Is this a bug in the hack? And, how can I go to the islands to catch event legendaries in this hack?
No they were removed. The islands you go to with the ship after the Elite Four, you need to find the event items (listed in the README)

Ah, I see thanks. At first I thought no info on those event items were present but turns out they were indeed in the read me, just further down.
Do you plan on updating trainer/gym leader/bosses/rival teams to reflect the expanded pokemon availability?
