    Pokemon Emerald!?

What do you think that pokemon Emerald is? I personally think that it's a hack of Ruby/Sapphire. Just edit the players headband with A map and Tada finished. Then add multiple maps including the battlefrontier and the new safari zone with level scripts and
    A text.

    Does anyone agree with me??

It's a much a hack of Ruby/Saphire as Yellow was to Red and Blue, and Crystal was to Gold and Silver

It is kind of, but remember the battle between Kyogre and Groudon, and Capturing all 3 plus choosing between Latios and Latias, GSC Starters..

The graphics, gameplay and story are the same but the new features dont really make it a hack

Doesn't emerald also have animated sprites though?
Personally I find animated sprites annoying in the sense that the gameplay is prolonged seeing how animation adds extra uneeded seconds to battles.

Ok. That's dumb. Pokemon Emerald is not a 'hack' of Ruby and Sapphire. You all need to be educated about what the word 'hack' means.

    Hack

Meaning 1: To use an external device such as Gameshark, Action replay, Pokesav, or a PC to change the coding inside the game to allow for unusual or hidden behaviors to occur.

Meaning 2: a ROM file created by a fan or a scalper in which a Pokemon game is taken, dumped into a PC or mac, and its code stripped down to the basics. The fan/scalper then proceeds to build a new game on top of the stripped down code. usually called something dumb like 'Pokemon Awesome Version!" A fantastic example of what hacks can do is Pokemon ShinyGold.

Pokemon Emerald is neither, fools. Emerald was a supplement to Ruby and Sapphire, developed by Nintendo, continuing a trend that has been in place since generation 1. Two games come out at the same time, then a few years pass, and a third game is released with mostly the same gameplay/story, with some added features thrown in. Emerald is not a hack. It's base don ruby and Sapphire, yes, but Nintendo made it, published it, and profited from it.

    Case closed.

    Hack? What the heck?

NO, of course it's not a hack of R/S. Emerald has MANY more impressive features; Groudon, Kyogre at Level 70, Rayquaza BEFORE the E4. Battle Frontier, animated sprites, cloning glitch, and best of all: GREEN WARDROBE :D

Emerald is infinitely better than R/S. It was entirely different. I doubt a hack would take 2 years to make.

Of course i know that. It was only a suggestion. And i am not DUMB.

Just Consider it Ruby/Sapphire 2.0 or something...but it (along with Yellow and Crystal before it) was made merely for them to make some more money, by slapping on some new designs and features while adding some new events calling it a new game, so the sucker, err I mean fans will jump for join and scurry along to the closest game store to buy this new game.
Don't get me wrong though, I like Yellow, Crystal and Emerald. But i also like taking a stab at fat cats, conflict of interests really.
For a more positive view on it. Games like Emerald in the pkmn world are made to tie us over till another gen or idea for a new journey comes about...plus its like having another save file....*shrugs*

I agree with Amp. Emerald wasn't an upgrade in the graphics really. The font was better, Wireless connectivity was added and E-Reader Support was removed (who's idea what that?). It's continuing a tradition or pattern really.

It's not a hack either. Nintendo has access to the source and uncompiled files. Why would they hack it?

You know, Emerald Supports the whole Hoenn Anime. I think that ruby and sapphire are hacks of emerald O-O
Also, emerald saves money by buying one game with the all hoenn legendaries. R/S needs both cartidges to complete the poke dex. emerald just misses lunatone and some small pokemon in hoenn.

I disagree. Plenty of new areas, more developed stories, legendaries moved around, new gym leader, new champion, new tutor moves for Pokemon, etc. Plus, the graphics improved quite a bit. (If you wondering whether I'm just defending Emerald, I hate Emerald. I'm speaking objectively.)

You can always shut off the animations, you know. It's in the Options menu.
