3rd Gen Pokemon Emerald

Emerald is an awesome game. Its pretty much like Ruby and Saphire but with some extra added features. For example the battle frontier after you defeat the elite four. I think also there are some new pokemon to catch which are not in pokemon ruby/saphire but i cant really remember noticing, IMO this game is worth buying.

I totally agree with pokEMOn UseR.
Emerald is awesome. Quality is a lot better to!
And the new pokemon are awesome! *Hugs her Houndoom*
The pokemon moving when they come out of their pokeball, soo cuuute!!!

Well, the only real reason most people would get Emerald if they already have Ruby/Sapphire is to fight in the Battle Frontier. But it's a pretty fun place to battle and of course, you have all those move tutors to teach cool moves to your Pokemon. And there are plently of other perks as well, for instance, faster egg hatching with Flame Body and the ability to catch both Kyogre and Groudon in the same game. It's your money, but Emerald is definitely better than R/S in several ways.

Emerald is DEFINITELY worth it, hands down. Not only is the AI more advanced, the breeding aspect is much better, the Battle Frontier is great, the Move Tutors are extremely helpful, and the Wireless adaptor compatibility is very nice. The only benefits that Ruby/Sapphire has over Emerald is that you catch Kyogre/Groudon at Lv40 instead of 70, and you can start with ANY Pokemon.

hehe Mudkipblader ^_- the animations on Emerald are also alot more intense and real. When i seen Groudon and Kyogre battling in Moosdeep i was well shocked because i wasnt expecting i ;o

Let's see...

- Pokémon that couldn't be obatined in the R/S or the FR/LG games

- The Battle Frontier with EV trained Pokémon that actually have decent movesets, meaning the game can actually be challenging

- Groudon and Kyogre both obtainable in the same game

- Rayquaza obtainable before the elite four

- New move tutors

- Some traits work outside battles too

- More double battles and trainers

- New gym layouts

- Gymleaders are much stronger than they used to be

Yup... Emerald is definitely worth buying.

Plus there's:

Match Call

You can fight all the leaders 5 times

Get the National Dex after beating the Elite Four(Prof. Birch gives you it)

The expansion area in the safari zone where you can catch Jhoto Pokemon

So yeah, it is worth getting.

hey, i have emerald and im trying to catch hondour(at this exact present). i caNT find him at the safari zone, is there a cheat other than doing that cheat where u press the directional button slightly to move?(and sweet scent).

so much for my topic, guess im not getting Emerald Version.

Well I, a recent Emerald owner, think it's worth the purchase. The main reasons are:
-Battle Frontier: Perfect for lonely fans like me who effort train but have no one to battle. T_T
-Improved breeding (Flame Body, Everstone breeding, Legendary top breeder): These make it much easier to get the perfect pokes bred. Most (all, actually) are just time savers, but very welcome ones. You get your IVs in a nutshell (preventing excessive save/rare candy sessions to find IVs), a means of cutting the number of pokes you breed to 1/25th, and a means of halving the time to hatch.
-Johto Pokémon: Yes, it was just a gimmick by Nintendo that they weren't in any other GBA games, but what can you do?

It is like the best game yet.
Just like MetalMario named. But I love the most is the Battle Frontier and there are animations(which suck) but still.
